Reviews of Ramada 2*
Ramada welcomes veterans. The beds are so comfortable. What a good night's sleep we had in our quiet, clean room.
Room was fairly clean, but way more expensive than it should have been. The coffee maker didn't work and the shower must be operated by magic, as there didn't seem to be any switch, lever or knob combination I could find to turn it on. The breakfast only consisted of bread products (cereal, waffles, pastries) with no eggs/sausage, which was disappointing to say the least.
Our room was decent enough besides the stains on the carpet and falling apart ceiling in the bathroom. I have no complaints about the pool. Around midnight during our stay the ceiling started to drip onto one of the beds and when we told the front desk their response was that, ” if it’s a slow leak there’s nothing we can do. ” After insisting that we did not feel like getting rained on that night staff moved our rooms. So at midnight we pack up all our stuff and have to go downstairs to pick up a key for the room ourselves. The next room’s bathroom floor sunk down when stepped on. Every five minutes the doorknob would jiggle for no reason quite loudly. The pullout couch did not have a sheet on it at all. Other than that, the breakfast was decent enough. The hotel definitely shows its age and feels sketch. I guess that’s what’s to be expected with a 2 Star hotel.
It's an older hotel. It shows it's age. But my room was very clean, the bed was firm and comfy, the air was on cold when I got in and it was 102* outside so a huge relief. The tub plug leaked out the water but it was super hot water so I had a relaxing soak just needed to fill it back up a time or two. Microwave and fridge in room, big TV. Super close to the freeway so it was what I needed for work. Complimentary breakfast was big enough. Cold hard boiled eggs on ice, waffle station, cereals and oatmeals, yogurts and milk and coffee. Has a bit of an age odor a mix of age and the pool area so musty. Plenty of restaurants in the area you can easily walk too. Could use an upgrade but clean and friendly.
The whole place felt old, slightly dirty, and like it wasn't the safest. While the beds and bathroom were clean enough, everything else seemed suspect to me. The staff was friendly enough, but once again I've had a lot better at a hotel. Overall the whole place needs an update and overhaul.
This was one of the worst stays we have ever had anywhere. We were checked into a room that had stagnant, standing water in the bathtub, and huge, fuzzy, black mold growths all over the bathroom ceiling. We contacted the front desk and were told the first time to let them know when we checked out. The person at the front desk, obviously didn’t want to be bothered with it. Even though we asked repeatedly for the tub to be cleaned, it never was during our entire stay. My mother is very old and has health issues and should not have been put in that room, let alone, it was not even suitable for healthy people. The other desk person, while appearing to be concerned, still never had any of the issues resolved while we were there. Only upon checking out did she say they would be condemning that room until the issues could be resolved. If you care for your health and are looking for a clean place to stay, DON’T STAY HERE.
Normally I give hotels the benefit of the doubt, but I will not return the favor of giving benefits if the hotel won’t give me any. The night manager smells like he hasn’t showered in at least 3 days, the man at the front desk told us our room would be ready at 3:00 and it wasn’t ready until after 4:00 but they gave us a bigger and “better” room. Said room had a flaming hot Cheeto on the floor, the stained carpet was a huge turn off, and if you plan on using the shower I suggest doing some biceps curls before you try to wrench the handle. It’s basically broken. When we first walked in the room we spent about 10 minutes contemplating whether or not the cancellation fee was worth it because of how gross it was. We didn’t even bother trying to eat breakfast there based on how grungy everything looked. The lights above the door in our room we’re going out, there were holes in the sheets, the pillows were lumpy like disgusting mashed potatoes, when the housekeeper gave us our towels they weren’t put away, and the entire hotel smelled like a casino. An old one. A very run down casino. I don’t know how this place is still in business, the health inspector really should be doing their job and do the community a favor and shut this place down for cleaning and renovations. One star rating for a less than one star hotel.
Very unfriendly people work there. And very old and run down. I got to my room and noticed their was a gross smell in the air but was to tired to find where it was coming from. In the morning I got up to make coffee and the coffee maker was full of mold and old coffee. I had a two night stay so I told the front desk about it but the lady up front didn't care. They still left it. I should have complained more to the staffs manager but chose not too and just decided to never come back again.
Mainly the check in process was not that long but looking around room I noticed that the bathtub looks like it is rusting and there was a stain on the carpet and a toilet that randomly runs. Clearly, the hotel requires some extensive modernization. Not bad for a single night stay, but clearly the place needs work.
It's an alright hotel for a night or two. Price is pretty good too. Parking is definitely limited here and needs to be upgraded. I went out on a Friday night and didnt come back late and was lucky to grab a spot. Not enough spaces for all the guests. Other than that is ok.
It took is 3 hrs. To get a room even though we reserved on online but the lady at the front desk (Jaime) was very polite and even upgraded our room and for the room it's self was awesome! We will definitely stay here again.
Jenni at the front desk was extremely rude to another employee in front of guests. Although we go there at 1:30, we weren't able to check in until 4:30. (Check in time is 3) Jenni did get nicer in the later part of the stay and seemed to work hard. But needs to smile at people. Beds were just ok. Swimming pool was warm which was nice. Breakfast had good food but not a big enough area and lines were very long.
We were in town for my husband's surgery. I ended up having sick kids and needed a room before check in time. The staff worked to get me into a room right away. The rooms were super clean and updated. Great price and great service!
The facilities were pretty old. The door was super chiped. The bathroom, carpet, and general facility were old and looked dirty (maybe because of being so old). At 6 a. M. This morning I woke up to loud noises that continued for awhile. Then I walked out and there was a hole in the ceiling in the hallway and liquid from the ceiling splattered everywhere — I couldn't walk out without stepping in it. I kind of wished they would offer to move us to a different room to avoid the mess. Definitely the worst hotel experience I've had with Ramada. I worked in facilities management, so I'm sympathetic, but as a hotel where you go to get away and vacation, it was a very disappointing.
Loud hallways. Traffic noise from the freeway next to the building. Stomping coming from above my room. Uncomfortable matress. And irritating next door neighbors slamming the door all morning. I don't recommend this place unless you aren't bothered by alot of noise.
The property itself is non smoking but the room we had just smelled like smoke. The comforter on the bed also had a big black smudge on it. The bathroom was also filthy with food and little bits of garbage in the ground.
The location is a little "ghetto" and the inside seems to show that as well. But the price is great and it is located by a lot of stores and places to eat. I enjoyed my stay there. Great place to stay if you are looking for a cheap place to stay a few nights. The free breakfast is pretty good for the price as well.
Nothing fancy but the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The bathrooms need updated as they are old and look dirty even if they were clean. The caulking needs to be redone at the very least. The beds were comfy and yeah the pillows are small but still worked out fine. Breakfast was just okay, I've had better at a Super 8 and paid less. Pool area is nice. For a budget hotel this place isn't too bad.
This is not a good place to work for women. The owner of the hotel Mr. Thompson tells lies on his employees. This is a family owned company and I would not suggest you work there.
I felt it was welcoming & very inviting. No complaints. Room was great & staff was good.
I have diabetes & Celiac's which everything at breakfast I can't eat. I can't have any wheat, gluten. All I was able to eat was a hard boiled egg and fruit. Not good, but rest was ok.
The hotel was nothing fancy but the room was decent. Kind of felt grungy though; definitely a bargain hotel. We only stayed here because we had our dog with us (they allow dogs only, no cats). There is bit breakfast in the morning, but we didn't stick around long enough to try it. Staff was mediocre, but friendly enough. Felt overpriced for what it was.
Outdated bed was okay juices at breakfast horrible. I definitely over paid I wouldnt pay much more than 60$ a night room. Continental breakfast not bad selection can at least make a hot waffle.
Room was clean. Not fancy but good to stay at on Buisness trip. The pillows were small, they were nice enough to give me a perfect pillow. Their van did not show up 4 me to take to Airport they were nice enough to get me a taxi & pay for it. But the only thing I can say is they need more staff very short on staff & that's unusual for place not having a enough staff?
Clean hotel with accommodating staff. I left before the breakfast was out so I can't comment on that. Price was reasonable and easy access to the interstate and a short drive to the air port.
This was disappointing, even by 2-star hotel standards. The hotel room carpet was filthy and smelled of chemical carpet cleaner. The toilet tank ran every half hour. The chairs in the room were stained, and the overall room decor was worn and old. This would have been understandable at $65 or $75 a night, but we paid a weekday rate of close to $200. The only reason why I gave 2 stars was because at least the bed was comfortable.
We got there at 5:30pm. We were informed that none of the rooms were cleaned. We waited another 30 minutes before it was ready. Later… There was one lady on staff. No maintenance, no housekeeping, no manager, nothing except the one lady. She was trying to check people in and get everything for everyone. She had a line of really angry people. The room wasn't actually cleaned. The beds had been changed and that's all. The water in the shower was only warm, not truly hot. The carpet was stained horribly. The pull out bed in the couch had metal parts that were felt through the mattress. The front desk lady was sweet, but clearly overwhelmed. This hotel was poor in my opinion. They need to not skeleton crew the shifts there. It made our experience horrible.
My only complaints were the public elevator and the fireworks in the distance. During our stay, our room was on the fourth floor. We parked in the back and took the conviently located elevator. Upon stopping on the fourth floor, the elevator makes several very loud clunking noises. If you did not know any better you would think that the elevator is going to drop down in reverse upon coming to a stop. Each time I took the elevator, I feared for my safety and was very uncomfortable. This needs to be made a priority to be fixed. It must be a commen trend for the very loud fireworks that you can hear going off behind the hotel. After a very long day of traveling 10+ hours, the only thing I wanted to do was to relax in bed and go to sleep. Instead, as I laid in bed, all I could hear were the constant fireworks going off.
The breakfast was wonderful, and the room was nice and clean. It would have been nice to have had more space for parking, but we were able to find room. The staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. We only stayed here for one night, but we wish we could have stayed for more. It's in a great location as far as distance to local attractions, so I would absolutely recommend it.
Rooms are nice enough. Staff is only mildly annoying. Continental breakfast is better than a lot of hotels I've been too. Hope you don't get a room on the freeway side.
They let my family in the middle of the day to night do a card draft/tournament in their dining area! Super awesome for letting us do that! Chill staff! Nice hotel as well! Reasonably priced! And next door to a A&W and KFC!
I don't even remember the hotel, it was all good; but what I will always remember is SERVICE : on our recent road trip our van had mechanical problems and we stopped at Ramada on State street because it was closest to the Dodge. The lady that checked us in kept an eye on our vehicle all night (the window was not closing properly) ; sorry I don't know her name. Next day Karl, the front end supervisor, took care of our luggage, drove us to downtown, arranged for pick up when we done at the dealership. The hotel's staff made us feel safe, comfortable and taken care off in a new place. In my mind, it is more important in a hotel then anything else.
It is a good place. I recommend it.
It is no luxury suite but for $80 a night it has everything you need. A comfortable bed, reasonable sized room, fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, decent shower and free breakfast. We were only passing through so just needed a place to crash and this fit the bill well.
This place is awful. It's in a sketchy part of town, the rooms weren't clean and the toilet in our room was broken. We called to have matainence fix it, they came "fixed" it and once they left it stopped working. The carpets were filthy and the tables were not clean.
This place is a disgrace I had my tools and water pump stolen out of my vehicle. In there parking lot and the gm ed christensen tells me its npt his problem so everyone knows ramada will allow people yo steal your things and do nothing abouy it would not stay at any of them.
Okay, but is obviously that is old.
First, the room was disgusting. The bathroom had hair all over it. The carpet smelled like puke. Which is all something I can almost tolerate. Throughout the night, Ramada kept making charges on my card totaling $50 so when I asked the night clerk "Herb", he said they were just incidental charges and they would be refunded within 24 hours. Understandable. I didn't mind. But I called tonight to talk to someone about why they still haven't refunded me, and Herb answered the phone. He got defensive within 20 seconds of being on the phone and hung up on me. Everything about this hotel is hell.
Room was clean and acceptable. Shower handle in bathroom was broken.
It was really a wonderful stay at ramada. The guys like Mr Travis. M & other team know their work to the level best possibleever. It was like home away from home. Best of luck & threee cheers for whole team of ramada. It was my first ever visit to US but ramada make it a memorable one. thank you Travis. M Thank you Ramada hope to see on next visitwith all my family members till then good luck & wish u success.
I am staying here at the moment and so far it's clean and quiet and the front desk guy Charles helped me out by getting the shuttle to pick me up so I'm not frozen. And for me into an amazing room I love it here.
Room was dirty. Carpets looked like they haven't been cleaned in more than a year. Finger prints all over door and walls.
It is really dirty. I feel like it really just needs cleaned. It may be a good idea to hire cleaning people and potentially throw away everything in the place and start new.
I have no idea where the heck to begin… This is possibly the WORST hotel I've ever had the misfortune of staying at. When I got ready to shower the tiles in the bathroom were moving, no big deal, but then there's the shower… my fiancé and I are both over 6 feet tall. The shower head is meant for someone maybe 5 feet. The shower curtain made me want to puke, there was literally chunks of who knows what coming off of it when the water hit it, not to mention the copious amounts of hair stuck to it. So the staff moved us rooms. Yea, right? Nope! While walking down the hall to our "new" room couldn't help but smell that our neighbors must have been Cheech and Chong… or Jay and silent Bob. This one smells a little cleaner, but that was VERY MISLEADING. There was nasty "stuff" all over the bathroom, carpet and tables. Needless to say we are checking out after being in this DUMP for less than 2 hours. That was the time it took to book another hotel room, somewhere FAR AWAY from here. I will never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone EVER! I would rather sleep in my car in a Walmart parking lot! Bye Felicia!
Falsely marketed prices and dingy everything makes this a hotel I can't wait to leave. In serious need of a deep cleaning and refurbishment.
We had to get a hotel really late in the day and Tatiana at the front desk was really helpful and managed to get me and my friends in two adjacent rooms at 11pm at night! She also accepted a coupon I managed to get last minute — not all hotels are this helpful trust me! Rooms were clean and tidy with a good selection of HBO premium channels. Beds are a little hard but that suits me but not everybody. Pool gym and hot tub were all clean and in good order.
Friendly staff. Only problem I had was apparently my bed had bed bugs. Work up with some bites and itching for the next few days.
Empty parking lots but they swear the rooms are full, made us take two separate rooms (twice the cost of course) because our car was having problems and we had no choice. Dishonest scam, wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Where to begin? The beds were awful, the showers were cold, the carpet was terrible, you had to pay $10 for a hot breakfast for crying out loud! The muffin I had with it was still frozen. The only, the ONLY redeeming factor about this landfill of a hotel was that their soap smelled good. I would honestly rather watch it burn and camp on the ashes than stay their again.
Rooms are clean. Staff is so so. They make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them. Their continental breakfast is AWFUL. 3 off brand cereals, a big bowl of nasty over hard boiled eggs, and contaminated bread. Just a very cheap and unsanitary breakfast.

There was a fair amount of parking spots close to the room. The rooms were clean and up to date. Very comfortable.
