Review of Silver King 3*

I honestly would not stay here again even if someone else was paying. We checked in at approximately 9:30PM on Saturday night for our honeymoon. First off, these guys don't offer any kind of honeymoon packages. You want a bottle of champagne or even a chocolate on the pillow or some flowers to surprise your new husband? Try anywhere else. We both had called a few weeks before the reservation and were informed “we don't do anything like that". Heck, Best Western gave my friend a free slice of cheesecake to celebrate and they about half the cost of this place. Anyways, when my husband went to check in, no one was at the front desk. He waited for 10 minutes before finally calling the hotel to find someone. Apparently there was only one person on staff and she was pulled away from the desk to restock pool towels. You'd think some place that charges $730 for 3 nights would have more than one person running the place. Parking there on the weekends is also a joke. There are very few garage spots, maybe 20 spots? There aren't very many in their outdoor lot either. We ended up parking in what I assume is the overflow or RV parking lot next door. In the room itself, the master bed was terribly hard. My husband ended up sleeping on the couch as it was much more comfortable. The lights in the bathroom take several minutes to "warm up" before you can actually see well. Now there was a nice private hot tube in the room, which was pretty much the only redeeming factor and thus earned this review a star. I feel that calling it private is really stretching it though. Yes it was in the room but several of the hanging blinds right next to it were missing. When the neighboring hotel is literally a stone's throw away from that window and have balconies, I feel like that should have been fixed before we showed up. Ultimately, when Ruth Chris and Flanagan's took care of us better than the place we were actually staying, we'll find a better place for our anniversary next year.
