First off I want to thank Kim and Kemper for a great stay! They welcomed us like we had been old friends! The place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The grounds are clean and postcard picture perfect. We stayed in the Texas music room and it was exactly what was needed for a weekend getaway! When you stay here, hang out in the bar enjoy an ice cold local beer, meet the locals lol, I have a new family there now. Maria and I can not wait to book again and bring our friends! I highly recommend a stay here! you will not regret it!

My wife and I stayed here with our toddler son and loved it. Big rooms, wonderful hosts, delicious breakfast, and the bar is such a great addition. You get back from a day of wine tasting and can finish the day at the bar with live music and some darts. Also the farm animals reminded me of my childhood so it was cool to walk around with our son and show him the animals. Highly recommended!

Such and adorable set up and the animals out back were a sweet addition. Kim and Kemper are such fun to talk to. The bar is homey and lots of fun. I hated to leave! Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience, stayed in the old Smoke House. The decor was charming the owners were friendly and inviting. The bar experience was the highlight local talent and a mixture of guests and locals. Had such a fun time. The breakfast was very good.

My experience at Full Moon Inn has been flawless throughout❣️. The owners are savvy and provide a welcoming yet private atmosphere. The best surprise is their small bar with a collection of talented singers, guitarist, and bassist playing live. All local. Cliff Crawford has a voice like butter and soul enough to fill the room. Enter a female singer and bassist. Can’t wait to hear them take it up a notch! Big plus for me is that they don’t play country. I’ll be back for sure! It’s officially my new getaway. We have stayed at the Full Moon in 5 times now and highly recommend the spacious rooms are decorated so beautiful. Kim & Kemper make your stay so special and the breakfast is yummy Your 5 minutes from Luckenbach and super close to the 290 wineries and only 15 minutes from Fredericksburg… great getaway!

Stayed here last night for anniversary/birthday! LOVED IT! We stayed in the wildlife room next to the bar. It was HUGE! Quiet & comfortable! We went to Luckenbach to see Shinyribs & they were great but it was hot & crowded. We ended up leaving early to join Kimper & Kim at the bar at the Inn. Ended up playing Penny Drop & drinking cold ones ‘til closing time! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed at the Full Moon Inn for our 40th anniversary. It was such a wonderful experience! The room was darling, the breakfasts absolutely delicious and the evening entertainment was so fun! Kim and Kemper couldn’t have been more welcoming and hospitable. We will definitely be back.

We just spent two nights at this wonderful little gem! Hated to come home! Kim and Kemper are wonderful, friendly, fun hosts. The suites are quiet and rustic, but elegantly comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and Billy Mac’s is a fun evening place! Highly recommend! Thank you for a great weekend!

The Full Moon Inn, this is where you go to get away from it all! Kim and Kemper know how to provide comfort and service! I stayed 2 nights in the 1800s cabin, I was blown away and taken back in time! It's so beautiful and cozy! Worth every dime! I would recommend The Full Moon Inn to all my biker buddies and Willy fans, you'll feel right at home!

The place is magnificent. Cabin was equal parts manly and romantic and we'd have paid what we paid just for that magnificient breakfast.

We arrived late to Fredericksburg and only made one tour on our day trip. Our D. D. Asked us if we’d like to stop at the “Bar Open” sign on a beautiful property located near the closed vineyards we’d hoped to enjoy. What a surprisingly great time we had with the owning family and guests staying at the Inn. Mr. Modlin and his fabulous wife, Kim clearly know how to ensure guests enjoy themselves. Their son, Trey tops the cake. We admired their decorative detail, humor and B&B A++ feel without even spending the night. Thanks you, see you again soon… I’m really looking forward to coming back for a stay with my family.

The rooms are beautiful and clean. The owners are awesome! It does not feel like you are staying at a B&B, it feels like you are staying with friends. Great food, great music, great people. Extremely family friendly. Lots of land for the kids to run around and explore. There is a restaurant/ bar on the grounds as well. Love this place to the moon and back.

The owners were so friendly. I loved the room Texas. Wildflower. The decor was cheery and MAIN THING for me, when looking for lodging. Is a comfortable bed. A chelicken came up to our car when tge door was open. I really thibk she would have letcmecpick her up. It was perfect. The food was cooked there and was excellent. Loved the french toast with blackberries. Will definitely go back.

We absolutely loved the Full Moon Inn. Kim and Kemper were so awesome and accommodating. The room was gorgeous with a fireplace and Jacuzzi. The breakfast was delicious! We just stayed here for our first year anniversary, and absolutely loved it! Kim and Kemper were the sweetest most down to earth host. I read through some of the reviews before staying and most stated the same thing but honestly they were very point on. From the moment we met them checking in we felt so comfortable with them. Which was good because it was our first time staying in a b&b. We weren't sure what it would be like. The room was very clean, quite and romantic. The view of the property from our balcony was amazing. Kim showed us one of the original rooms available that was built in the 1800s with another cabin behind it Oil Room which was originally the smoke house built in the 1800s. The breakfast was so delicious. French toast to die for and local beef sausage was perfect. Along with eggs fresh from their on site chickens. There was so much to do there I don't feel like we had enough time. We will definitely be going back to explore and do more. Maybe with our kids. My daughter will love the goats, chickens, kitties and the sweetest little doggy.

We stayed with Kemper and Kim as part of our mini vacation to Luckenbach. The grounds and rooms could not have been better. If you enjoy great surroundings with a strong connection to the history of the Texas Hill Country (not to mention convenience of being a very few minutes away from Luckenbach) I suggest a stay at the Full Moon. It is a shame we can only give five stars. Ron.

If you are looking for the perfect location to have close access to the wineries, Luckenbach and just a place to unwind and de-stress, this is your place. The new owners, Kim and Kemper, have created the perfect getaway for their guests. They obviously take great pride in what they do. There is attention to detail wherever you turn. The rooms are clean, the atmosphere is very inviting, breakfast is so tasty and the grounds are "country, farmland beautiful" — — chickens and all. Enjoy their hospitality!

Full Moon Inn is a hidden treasure! Kim and Kemper, the proprietors and incredible hosts, have created an extraordinary getaway. Full Moon Inn is full of personality and exemplifies Southern hospitality. Each room is distinctive, fun, and thoughtfully appointed. Not a detail has been missed.
We spent New Years Eve here with four other couples that we knew ~ total comfort and a complete blast. We all felt right "at home".
The restaurant area is a comfortable and inviting space to relax, chat, listen to music, and eat. Super fabulous oversized chairs. Again, everywhere you look, there is something that makes you smile! Even the resident Plymouth Rock Chickens :)
You are minutes away from Luckenbach Dance Hall, have a choice of many wineries up the road, and Fredericksburg just around the corner. It doesn't get much better than this.
AND… did I mention, breakfast was AMAZING!
We will always enthusiastically recommend this spot, and we will visit again!

CAPTAIN MATT did a terrific job with my WEDDING PARTY and helped to make sure we all were comfortable and smiling. He put my mind at ease when I was stressing regarding the wedding and made sure my big day went off without a hitch when it came to me and my guests. I later found out that his facility was one of the premier wedding package sites in the hill country and I was too stubborn about having my plans my way here and there that I actually found myself wishing I had saved myself the headache and stress and let Captain Matt handle my wedding SINCE DAY ONE! Well regardless I fell in love with the ambiance and atmosphere that only the Texas Hill Country could offer paired with the eclectic charm of his romantic bed and breakfast cottages that I decided that day I would return on my one year anniversary! I look forward to the big day when I will get to return without the expectations of my wedding hanging over me so that I could sit back and enjoy the Full Moon Inn in all it's rustic and charming glory! Owner was very rude. Air conditioning broke second night I booked room for and he blamed it on my husband and i. When I called him after my sisters wedding to inform him our room was hot he was very mad and unprofessional. He cursed and talked down to me. At one point I had to talk to him the way he was talking to me to get him to realize how he was acting. It helped for about 5 min and then he resumed to his previous demeanor. Mind you, I was paying for the largest room he leased and paid $580 for horrible service and rooms were not worth the price. He has well has two kids that kept coming into out room unannounced or bringing Thier bikes and toys to out porch area. I I don't recommend this place at all. Not for the customer service, not for the accomodations, not for what you get out of what you pay, not for broken air conditioning and as well for having his kids trying to come into your room all the time. FYI we had to sleep with Windows open to try new get cooled at night. None of which had screens.

Cozy, romantic, peaceful, AWESOME! My husband and I enjoyed 2 wonderful days in February 2016 and I just cannot say enough wonderful things about the facilities, the staff or Capt Matt. This is my only choice when we return to the Hill County. Great for couples, friends, family — they have cabins and rooms to suit all needs — and the breakfast… to DIE FOR wonderful! Thank you!

The Luchenbach Moon is a charming, and beautiful piece of the hillcountry. Matt takes so much time and care to make sure your stay is memorable. We have stayed many weekends in several different rooms and they are all relaxing and accomadating. And. I love the peace and quiet! And yes, we will be back. Highly recommended♡.

My wife found this gem online. We were in Fredericksburg for Oktober fest (very overpriced in our opinion). Captain Matt has been at the B&B business for 23 years and he runs a great business! Our room was the Peach room and was very comfortable. Direct TV and Wifi were included and the breakfast was amazing! Kept us full well into the day. He will also recommend local restaurants and he was spot on with his choices. We will definitely be back.

Such a cute place with GREAT staff! Matthew was so great from the moment we arrived. The room was super cute and the atmosphere of the whole place was so peaceful. Breakfast every day and it was really good! Amazing quiche and sweet potato pancakes. I was completely won over by the presence of a dog (Butterball) and two friendly kitties. They seem to be dog friendly too as other guests had their dogs staying with them — love that! We will definitely be back.

My friends and I all stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast. When each of them arrived they immediately told me just how perfect this place was. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings just down the way from Luckenbach. The rooms were all perfect with wonderful beds and comfortable surroundings. Best of all were the people we met at breakfast in the mornings including our host, Captain Matt. He did everything make us all comfortable and the breakfast was incredible. BTW — Matt is also the local flower expert and knows exactly when the bluebonnets and indian paintbrushes will be blooming. ;-).

We've just returned home from our fifth stay at the always wonderful Full Moon Inn. We make it a destination for respite and relaxation as often as we are able. We've stayed in several different rooms and simply cannot choose a favorite as they are all well appointed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We love the Inn's peaceful grounds, complete with friendly animals. Our dogs who are always welcome at Full Moon think they're in heaven when living the country life there. Captain Matthew is the consummate dedicated host, both to us and our pets. He has become like family to us. Truly. His gourmet breakfasts are fabulous, and although Matt always has wonderful recommendations for lunch and dinner spots in town, we often find ourselves not wanting much to eat after such hearty and tasty breakfasts. We've enjoyed weekend getaways for two and family Spring Break trips for nine at Full Moon Inn. Every experience has been delightful. Sadly the presence of national motel chains is seen in Fredericksburg now, but don't miss out on the joy and beauty of the scenery and hospitality in and around the town that can only be truly fully experienced by staying in a bed and breakfast. You won't find better accommodations or a better host than Full Moon Inn and Matt. This place is an absolute gem in the crown of Fredericksburg! If we could bottle it and take it home with us, we would.
