I hosted an overnight women’s event at Sara’s Inn and could not be happier with our entire experience! Everything is beautiful! Very clean and breakfast was perfect! I worked with Alex who runs the Inn and she could not have been more friendly and easier to work with! I appreciated her so much! I can’t wait to book another event!

We were very pleased with our cozy comforts while staying at Sara’s. Our room the balcony sweet had plenty of room to move around in and feel like as if were were right at home. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They offered awesome advice and helpful hints to make our stay in Houston that much enjoyable. I can truly say we will soon return to enjoy this hidden gem in the Heights area of Houston…

We stayed one night in the Luxury Suite. Clean (a big one for me), fully stocked kitchen. Lovely staff (met 3, all friendly). Love the coffee/Latte/hot chocolate multi machine that is available 24hrs was, an awesome bonus. Felt like a home experience rather than an awkward BNB experience that can sometimes happen. My only advice is that you bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Noise from outside travels. Had a guy yelling & knocking on a door for 3hrs starting at 3am. Was hard to sleep but you can’t control those events so having earplugs will help, just in case. Little home like details were nice. Such as clean robes and access to basic simple snacks. Will return in the future. Oh, and the area isn’t too bad. Medium traffic but slows down at night. A handful decent places to eat within walking distance. Gas Station though, I would stop before arriving because the walk there is rough due to lack of sidewalks and construction with a busy road. Parking is best with small vehicles. A red truck almost had us blocked in because it was too large and it would have been hard to back up without hitting him but he ended up moving it. Larger suvs/trucks are best for street parking (plenty but can get harder or further due to time of day) to avoid blocking anyone in.

Our stay was very nice until the next morning when we went down for breakfast. There was cold cereal and bagels but if we wanted something hot the older lady cooking said she was just one person and we would have to wait. After waiting about 30 more minutes we were rudely told we’d just have to keep waiting. We finally left and got breakfast down the street. Not a good breakfast experience.

We really have to brag on this place because our trip would not have been so enjoyable had we stayed elsewhere. I can’t emphasize enough what a wonderful location it is in and how friendly everyone is at the inn. Breakfast is amazing! She’s so kind and the food is delicious, along with the brownies provided as overnight snacks. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and John — the owner — is always at breakfast and greets everyone in the mornings. You wake up here feeling like you woke up in someone’s family. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when returning. We are so happy with our experience. Thanks for making us feel at home!

Celebrated our 10th anniversary here last night. Stayed in the man cave and it was wonderful! Rustic, charming and a special surprise that fit perfectly. The breakfast was thoughtful and very delicious.

When in Houston there is no finer place than Sara's to stay and feel right at home. Lovely people and a lovely Inn.

Cute place in a great location. My room was very comfortable and I slept very well. I also enjoyed the old charm of the house. Just something about it that was very soothing. My check in process was easy and efficient as well. My only issue was the roaches that I killed in my room. I did share this with the lady who cleaned my room and she was very attentive. Said she would let the owner know. I would stay here again just to stay in the cottages in the back.

The perfect place for peace and quiet. My wife and I needed a break. We celebrated our anniversary here last week. This place was cozy and felt safe. Their breakfast was stellar and delicious (loved the waffle and their pancakes! ). You could even help yourself to a glass of wine in the evening in their kitchen. The owner gave us some great places to go out for eating in the evening. I was also grateful for their own private parking. Our room's bed gave me the best sleep. I felt rejuvenated every day waking up there. We could not have a picked a better place to relax.

My wife and I along with two other couples stayed at this BnB and we can't say enough about how awesome it was. From making reservations online, to check in, to the stay itself, Sara's was fantastic. The room itself was very clean and pretty amazing. We stayed in the newly finished Man Cave and it was awesome! Room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great. The room had a Nintendo with 300+ games preloaded! The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. Make to order eggs, waffles, and much more. The location on Heights Boulevard is very convenient and walk-able to a lot of cool places. At the price with everything you get, this place is a steal compared to hotels in the area. Highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely will stay here again. Very nice stay. Very quiet & comfortable & clean. Manager, Bebe, was very sweet & helpful giving us advice on where to eat & shop. Breakfast was delicious. Enjoyed visiting with the sweet cook & guest at breakfast. Located in a very nice area of town to walk & shop at some nice stores. Loved the relaxed atmosphere away from the fast pace yet close to everything. Can’t wait to go back!

This is was such an amazing place. I cant say anything negative about it. The breakfast was incredible, the location was the center of everything in the heights, and the room was perfect. It was very romantic and quiet we couldn't hear any of the other rooms or the outside world. I would truly recommend this place for everyone. I cant wait to go back!

My wife and I travel a lot and we had the pleasure of staying in "The Man Cave" at Sara's Bed & Breakfast Inn. It's a gorgeous home right in the heart of an incredibly cultural area of Houston known as The Heights. It was within walking distance of some great local food and shops. My wife and I had a wonderful time exploring and getting ice cream from a local creamery down the street. At almost any time of the day you will see locals walking their dogs, riding their bikes, or just walking down Heights Boulevard, the main street of which the Inn faces. Not only was the room cozy and of course "manly" but the entire inn, with its wrap around porch & gorgeous natural light-filled breakfast room, but it felt like a home away from home. It's so relaxing you could almost forget why you even came to visit Houston other than just visiting Sara's Inn. I highly recommend this for those travelers who like to stay away from the main stream, boring hotel monotony and really enjoy some personal service, good food, great locations, and that local homey feel.

The dining room is GORGEOUS, everyone is so friendly, and the breakfast spread is unreal. 5 kinds of homemade muffins, fresh fruit, fancy coffee, tea, juice, anything you could want. Plus it comes with the sweetest older lady who will cook you anything you'd like off of the menu. What else — the bed was so comfortable, bathroom so gorgeous and clean… parking lot easy to find and so convenient. I couldn't recommend this place more.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Sara's bed and breakfast. We spent one night there in the luxury suite, which was quite luxurious indeed! The service was outstanding, and the owners were extremely kind, attentive and responsive. The breakfast was as delicious as it was varied with plenty of scrumptious goodness to choose from. They had a gourmet coffee machine that we wish we could've taken with us. I highly recommend checking out this beautiful place, we couldn't have had a better experience all around and will go back if we return to the area!

First time staying at this B&B, and very much enjoyed it. We booked the paradise suite, which was roomy and comfortable. Being 6 months pregnant I usually do not sleep well, but the bed was so comfortable that I was well rested each night. The breakfast was great, as well as the service. The only real complaints that I have is that I did not feel as though the shower had hot enough water, but I like a very hot shower! Also, the lighting fixtures were very bright and didnt have shades, much brighter than my taste. BUT I was given another shaded lamp upon request, with no questions asked. I still give 5 stars because I know that I am just a very particular person and that those things may not bother others! I think if we ever need to stay downtown again for a date weekend, we will surely be back!

My first stay this past week was great — wonderfully warm home, friendly staff, great room, food, and location. Everything was easy and pleasant. Looking forward to staying in Houston and here when I do again!

Christmas at Sara’s B and B was so very special! It was so cosy, beautifully decorated, and even with every room occupied, it was quiet and restful. Bebe welcomed us and took good care of us while we were there. Jeannie served amazing breakfasts and coffee and brownies in the kitchen, and afternoon wine. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with lovely baths and comfy beds! And we love the porches! Located on Heights Boulevard, close to restaurants, shopping, and everything Houston has to offer. We can’t wait to come back! Should we make our reservations for Easter now? Thanks Jiyhe and Robert for having us! Wish we could have stayed longer! ❤️

I rented the room for my daughters wedding night. The inn was very good about letting her get ready there. The inn was amazing. My daughter and new son in law were very pleased with the room. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

We recently spent a night here for our anniversary; the service was good, the room was well-appointed, and breakfast was delicious. This will be at the top of the list for future overnight stays in town.

I absolutely adored my experience at this bed and breakfast. The staff were incredibly loving and gave me the greatest southern hospitality and the best grits and spinach quiche I've ever eaten. I could not say enough about the beauty of this home and my ability to feel as if I were at home and not just a guest. From a basket of clean towels to brownies and beautiful sunsets from the roof, it was a great experience while I traveled there for business.

This place was super nice, clean, friendly people and the breakfast was awsome. I would highly recommend it.

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The rooms are wonderful, clean and charming. The owner is very personable and clearly takes great pride in making sure her guests are well cared for. Also, the wonderful woman who cooked breakfast was a true delight. My family and I would highly recommend this excellent Bed & Breakfast.

I like staying at B&B's since they allow me to get to know the parts of cities & towns where people do their living. Sara's B&B is in a walkable tree-lined part of Houston that you wouldn't imagine from the highway. It's a nice property on a pretty street with a walking/running path. It's near shopping and some good eats, walkable for most. Jihye is an attentive host and the breakfasts are awesome. The one warning I would offer about this older neighborhood is that those lovely old trees you see have big old roots. Many sections of sidewalk are broken or pushed up and would be unnavigable for a wheelchair. As a pedestrian you'll need to look where you're going to avoid tripping.

I love the host and folks, J, J and J! I stay here every time I come to Houston and have never been disappointed. Jean makes the best scrambled eggs ever! A great location and a great home.

This was a delightful inn with a WONDERFUL breakfast. The grits were stellar. If I give less than 5 stars it is only because this is an inn (not a crazy 5 star spa resort). It was comfortable, clean, nicely appointed, and everyone we encountered was very polite. Try the dinner around the block, Lola, if you need food.

AWESOME! This is such a great place to stay. The owners are personable, thorough and they really care about your stay. So quaint! Perfect, historic Victorian neighborhood.

I wanted to first and foremost thank you for my mom's wonderful stay she really enjoyed staying at your B&B. She is a bit picky with some things and where she stays is definitely one of them, but I couldn't have been more pleased with the condition of the house, cleanliness of rooms, and the southern hospitality.

This place is beautiful and everyone was so friendly! Just make sure you understand their policies.

I called to book rooms for my upcoming wedding for myself and out of town family. I was told that they DO NOT WELCOME wedding parties of any kind as it is an "inconvenience to accommodate". This was shocking especially since I explained that it would be a very small group perhaps only me and 2 bridesmaids then me and my husband. I've never been refused service and have traveled all over the world and have stayed in every type of accommodation. I was looking forward to enjoying Sara's Inn, but now will never stay there, and will never recommend it.
