I want to take a moment to say some things about my Stay at this property. When one travels to attend a funeral, one's mind isn't always on packing and such details. As it turned out, I was a pallbearer at Mom's Funeral there in Falfurias. I managed to pack everything except my Tie! I did not realize it until after the memorial, the day before the funeral. In need of help, I approached the Front Desk Attendant, Jennessa S. Asking her if she might be able to find a tie. With a perfect smile, she immediately went to work on finding me one, via her Dad who worked at the Funeral home. I had NOT known her Dad worked there, until then. In short order, she was able to get him to bring some spares, so the next morning I could make a choice! Please understand, I stay and work in 4-5 star properties for a living, working with premier organizations who meet and do events there. I have attended Customer Advisory Panels for a Major Brand. That I was able to find this quality and commitment of service, at a small town "Express" property in Falfurias TX, was Amazing to me! Having been in and around the Hospitality Industry for many, many years, I realize first hand how much the premier brands like Marriott, Wyndham, Omni, and Hilton spend, to train their people to the level of Customer Expectation Fulfillment, which I experienced here, with Jennessa. She averted what would have been a personal disaster for me. So, Kudos to the Management of this Property for having such people as Jenessa at the front line. Later, we met a young man named Daniel cleaning our room. The Facility was having challenges and brought him in at the last moment to assist. This young man was the very epitome of Manners, Class, Professionalism, and Confidence. He proudly spoke of how his Grandparents had raised him in "the old ways", and shared how he hoped to leverage that upbringing, going forward in whatever profession he will be a part of. All this, made the little problems we had in our room seem insignificant. But as I am sure, that a leadership that would employ people like Jennessa and Daniel, would clearly want to know, that the shower diverter valve, in our room 214, needed replacing, and perhaps the AC needed some lubrication as it was noisy. Yet, as I said, these problems were dwarfed as issues, by the brightness and professionalism of Jennessa and Daniel. I have inherited land in that area, and look forward to being a guest again, at that property, the Holiday Inn Express, in Falfurias Texas, even the Breakfast Hostess, was awesome too. ExcellenT!
