This is by far the worst hotel on the beach, the service is terrible. The workers are not friendly by any means, they wil only give you one towel per peraon and will not give you any towels on your last day. There is no shampoo, conditoner, tissues, bar soap, wash clothes, iron boards, dirty clothes bags, notging that you could compare to any hotel, I would never recomend anyone to stay here. I stayed for one night with my familyand will never stay agian, most dirtiest place in spi Returning home to shower I have bed bug bites all over my arms and neck.

Horrible horrible motel, worst one I’ve been to. We didn’t even make it the night, we had to leave to rent another of how disgusting it was inside. The bed sheets were stained, and full of hairs. No towels, shampoo, soap, nothing. Nor is there Wi-Fi (even if it says it has).

They got some chilli cheese fries to kill for. All their food is great But you can hear your arteries Clogging. Great beach bar.

Awesome place to have fun in the sun with friends and family. The Atmosphere is just so enjoyable. The barkeeps are very respectful and fun to be around.

Classic beach motel. Jojo and the staff were very helpful and made the experience great. There are bbq grills for use but you must bring your own charcoal. There is also a pool if you don't wanna go to the beach. There is bar area for people to order food and drinks. There nets for volleyball and the locals will give you a good game. I booked a kitchenette and two double beds for a good price. Hopefully, they will update the stove to have all 4 burners working once again. But as long as you got 2 burners, you can make due. You can bring your supplies but they have dishes, pots, pans, big sinks, silverware, bowls, knives, and a medium refrigerator. Ask the staff what else is available for kitchen needs. I stayed there 5days/4nights. I was able to check in by 3pm but the room was available a little earlier so I got lucky. My guests and I had a great time. I will definitely comeback again soon.

Too bad! I don't like it at all! My kids couldn't even laugh because the old prick who used to get upset about drinks. Then they ran us for the music! I do not recommend them!

Oh my goodness, this bar staff is the rudest we've ever met in our lives. Not only was she rude, she (the owner I presume) was the only bartender working the bar. Why, on the busiest weekend of the year, would you only have 1 person working? Get a business plan, train some people, and you'd make twice the money. Didn't like standing in line for 30 minutes to get a watered down cheap drink.

Do not stay here. The room we received was covered in mold and bugs. Pulled the covers off the bed and discovered bugs all over the bed. We immediately left and rented a room at Motel 6, was extremely disquieted. We asked to speak to a manager and was given the run around for a week. We told him what our experience was and asked for a refund since we didn't actually stay in that room. We were denied the refund because it was a week after we stayed there. Such a horrible situation and no resolution.

The alcoholic beverages were very good. I loved the piña colada with strawberry. The workers were very friendly and attending. I felt very comfortable when my family and I were there.

The bar has a perfect view of the beach and makes very rich drinks. It has enough parking, direct access to the beach, and we were able to lower food and drinks to the beach.

This place is a dive. It is not a la quita and it is not a Hilton. This place has a bed. And is right on the beach. It is dirt cheap to rent. It has friendly staff. If you are pretentious or if you want fresh sheets and new room feel. This is not for you. This is for adventurous travlers. The ones who want the real feel and real life. Stay only if you want a real experience of SPI.

Boomerang's is my choice for the best beach bar on South Padre. It's not like there is much competition however. I'm withholding one star because they haven't begun to stock any IPA's yet even though there are several widely available in cans these days. Nita Beth the day bartender is extremely personable. DON'T stay at the hotel unless nothing else is available. I rented a few rooms for my Birthday one year and had a terrible experience.

I happened upon Boomerang Billy's while walking down the beach. It was so much fun with live music and awesome bartenders! I want to go back right now!

Don't even bother setting reservations here. One of the most unprofessional establishments I have ever dealt with. I travel all over and have NEVER dealt with a hotel that calls you the day before you are to arrive to tell you that they made a mistake in the rate and the price was going up. But they were doing me a favor cause they were going to rent the other rooms at a even higher rate. Manager and owner refused to speak to me and also refused to honor the rates I was quoted and had reserved several days in advance. Apparently this is normal practice. Needing to be there for a show, now I'm stuck looking for a place to stay. I am being forced too cancel reservations because I refuse the price increase. These people are a joke. Lesson learned, I'd rather pay the same amount or a little more on something much nicer, rather than these outdated, falling apart rooms. I had stayed there in the past, not for the rooms, but for the location. You lost a repeat customer for being greedy. Not that it matters either way.

Excellent option to visit South Padre and enjoy the beach. Very close to McAllen malls. It is economical, affordable to the beach and with a safe place to park. The rooms are modest but comfortable with air conditioning. Very friendly staff. Credit cards and bookings are accepted through booking.

Always pretty good food at a really low price. Positioned right on the beach and serving tasty cold drinks it's a winner.

Disgusting horrible motel and I'm not picky. Mold all over the room… sess pool out back with black water and crows pooping in it… I took photos and wish I could post them because its so bad here you can't even believe it. The super 8 across the way is awesome. Shoukd be condemned.

Older place with good view of the beach and volleyball courts. Live music during the day on weekends. Don't know how the rooms are but the outside deck and restrooms could use some work.

I'm going to keep it simple and to the point. No hot water in the sink, we saw roaches, and we saw a rat. Our shower drain clogged after a 5 minute shower. And finally, bugs in between the dirty and dusty sheets. It was nearing midnight when we decided to leave and not stay there and after calling more than 10 hotels we finally found a room. As we were leaving and gathering our things we opened some of the cabinets we found rat droppings every where. This place is disgusting and a serious health hazard.

Boomerang billys is an awesome bar and a hidden gem at SPI. You have a beach access. I love going there every time.

Boomerang Billy's is the coolest spot on South Padre to park, grab a snack and a drink and head down to the beach. The service is WONDERFUL and they have the best margaritas on the whole island. They also have live music performances on some days, and they have bathrooms if you need to change (they aren't the cleanest but if you're quick in and out it's not a big deal) They have a lovely little pool for the kids to play in, and the deck is a great place to relax. I highly recommend stopping by on your next visit to South Padre island!

This place is disgusting if you ever want to have a nice vacation just go somewhere else. I was having a good time at the beach and when we went back to the room the shower did not work and bathroom did not flush. Totally not worth the money. If you are looking for something fun try another one this one will ruin your vacations. Even the beds had all the sand from past guests. Lady on the front office is very rude they don't even care. If you are going make sure everything is working and check out for cockroaches.

OLD MOTEL IT IS but great location, beach access and outdoor ammenties. Restaurant and bar also very nice. Hard to find this at Island so we have to compromise sometimes but remodeling a must!

Great place to have a few drinks with a great view. The piña colada was delicious. The prices are reasonable. They have a place for volleyball and you can rinse off your feet after a relaxing walk on the beach.

We stayed there for a week 5/29 through 6/2. It was our first time there and we were very pleased. Great beach access and bar that's attached is probably the best on the island. One Bartender named Lindsey makes the most incredibly delicious margaritas I have ever had. Seriously they are not just made from a mix, it's her own special recipe and she puts olives in them and she doesn't skimp. This is the bar the locals come to and it's called Boomerang Billy's. The rooms were dated like the T. V. But we were looking for an inexpensive beach getaway and this place did not disappoint. There are BBQ pits right outside the room to grill, chairs and tables to hang out, a small pool that was well maintained. They are also dog friendly. The beds and pillows could use an upgrade perhaps but otherwise it was decent accommodations for the price. Even Ricky at the front desk was pretty nice and helpful.

Pros of this place was the beach access was incredible and the bar and pool were awesome. That deserves one star. The rooms were disgusting. Sheets had holes, pillows had stains. Bathrooms were stained and very flimsy! The handle of the toilet was barely functioning! Please do yourself the favor of going somewhere else and stay away!

I love this place! The two bedroom suite is huge and affordable. The bar and food is awesome but the location is the real gem. Everyone who works here is friendly. No complaints here!

I have been going there, back in the 2009 thru 2011, and my family enjoys it. People that complaint have issues with themselves, anyways looking forward on going again really soon best of all I enjoy barbecuing for my loveones. Sometimes is best to loosen up and make the best of it, backed grateful and humble yourself.

GIANT COCKROACHES… on top of that our room was absolutely filthy. The sheets were stained and there was garbage left underneath the beds. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more money for a nicer place.

We come down to South Padre Island at least twice a year. We always love it. Clean great customer service… We love that you can still grill right on the ocean. So fun and relaxing.

Have been staying at the Surf when going to Padre since the late 70's. No it is not fancy but has some of the best Beach access you can ask for. We don't go to Padre to hang out in a room. Bar area is a fun place to hang out and usually full of locals.

Excellent Service considering the place is a bit outdated and could use some cosmetic work. Met the owner and he was pleasant. Very nice people, just wish others would respect the property and not trash the place. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will be back.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! This place was THE WORST! It was filthy and the showers had the worst pressure! BUT THE WORST THING OF ALL WAS THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS! I literally left with welts on my arms. Then when we went and complained the girl in the front was beyond rude! Don't stay here! For your health and safety. Worst hotel ever.
