Reviews of Fairmont Dallas 4*
I would not recommend working in housekeeping they pay u the bare minimum here they also will wait to the last minute to tell u that they have to cut hours because the hotel is not busy if you want a decent work schedule work somewhere else, thank God I have two jobs if not the last minute call off to not come In right after when rent is due would put u in a bundle 🤷…
Excellent service. 5 star. Will be staying here again.
We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our stay was amazing! We love the Fairmont and will continue to stay here. A special thank you to two employees that made our stay even more magical. Thank you Kenedra and Kevin for all you did to make our day even more glorious! We will be back!
Great location, great hotel.
Great atmosphere, food with exceptional service!
Great view of downtown. Best staff. Amazing food. And the infrastructure to support any size event. Would recommend 10 out of 10
Fantastic hotel. Great location, brilliant rooms, comfortable beds and fanstaic staff.
I’ve been coming to the Fairmont for the past 10years, but this trip has been the most memorable because of Briana and McKayla. They’re truly a dynamic duo; kind, helpful, and resourceful.
Amazing Service at this hotel.
The entire staff was super nice and helpful.
I was so disappointed from start to finish. When we first got there we were told we didn’t have a reservation. Once I showed him our confirmation email he said “oh I found it but someone already checked in under that reservation”. So after a panicked few minutes he found a reservation, not sure it was ours, swiped my card, twice, and handed me two room keys when I had only reserved one…So my card was charged twice for two rooms rendering it unusable the rest of the weekend. We got the one room thing cleared up and when I asked how I would be refunded he said “It should be fine but I’ll check with my manager later”. Once in the room we were really confused by these black boxes by the TV, we later found out they were supposed to have snacks in them but just weren’t refilled. The mini fridge had a singular white claw in it. The bathroom smelled like mildew and I can see why because the shower head sprayed everywhere. The bathtub was all scratched up as well. They nickel and dime you with fees and $14 Wi-Fi when I have stayed in Holiday Inns that were nicer. To top it all off my boyfriend left his headphones in the room when we left (yes this was his fault) and you would think calling right after the staff member who cleaned the room may have turned them in but nope, they told him the headphones were long gone. This may have been a 4 star hotel in 1988 but now you are much better off spending your money elsewhere.
Very disappointed in every way! When we drove up, we were excited because it looked so nice and we were immediately greeted by valet. He helped unload and place our items on trolley; then he just pushed it inside hotel and left it unattended! Get to room (us pushing the cart) and no port to charge our phones; didn’t bring one as daughter just arrived from England and didn’t have one so we went to purchase one! What 4 ⭐️ hotel doesn’t have one? Woke up next morning to lady talking on phone in room next door! Wouldn’t thought that we would have heard her entire conversation! No refunds, and we were there 3 nights! Apparently you must request housekeeping (again 4 ⭐️? ) and so we did after 2nd night for fresh towels and trash removal but we also had our belongings gone through as well as my credit card removed! Then upon checking out l told the lady at front desk about air not working previous night and we got hot and woke up sweating; another employee got involved with our conversation and said l should have cut off system so it could reset or something, l tried to say l didn’t work there but she only walked away!
Lovely view, very helpful, kind, fun staff. Wonderful location!
Love this place, it’s very family oriented and close to downtown.
It’s a beautiful elegant place. Except waiting 20 to 30 minutes for an elevator! We asked if this is going to be ongoing the entire time we are here. The front desk told us they were working on it! Nope The beds are so firm it’s painful. The lightening in bathroom isn’t bright enough to put makeup on which sucks, so far that’s it.
My fiancé and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was amazing. The rooms and view were so romantic, especially on the 23rd floor! There were snacks and beverages stocked in the room for your convenience which was a nice touch to everything.
Very Impressed. It was beautiful museum. Staff was Very impressive.
I come back in second.
can I move in? lol
great pool.
We love our suites this place is Old Dallas Charm! The staff are super! Great views of Dallas Skyline!
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
The Dallas Fairmont is a great place to experience downtown Dallas. We have had a couple of events here and have had wonderful experiences. They are very caring and professional.
Awful experience. No maid service, no concierge, completely understaffed. A ghost town of staff, yet a huge convention in the hotel. Phones were not answered, no one seemed concerned about guests.
Understand after COVID, hotels need business but don’t completely open up until staffed properly.
Superb customer service. Needed an extra mini fridge for wedding items and it was delivered to our room in less than 10 minutes!
Great place for family The pool is great.
Fantastic old grand hotel. Rooms are fantastic and great location.
Great staff. My time at the Fairmont is always a pleasant memory.
Front desk didn’t communicate any of the policies, no water in rooms, how to connect to Wi-Fi, charge me in advance incidentals. After a 7 hour drive beyond frustrating.
Really good experience and friendly staff. Very clean, as well.
Wonderful but customer service is not great.
It was a great night! All the staff was so friendly.
Nice people. Great service.
Great service. Went there for my anniversary and the guy in the front desk, I think his name was Matthew, was fantastic. They really went out of their way for us. The hotel is in a prime location too. Walkable to a lot of great Dallas hot spots. Highly recommend.
Excellent location and all the service is perfect.
Great place for a conference.
The room was quiet beautiful and comfortable, the bathroom well appointed, I loved the Le Labo products, The bed was so comfortable; sheets, comforter and pillows I slept really well.
I wish the staff had been warmer and less brisk, they are after all in the hospitality business. Several small but noticeable mistakes were made with me. All of the small errors led up to me feeling unwelcome and unimportant.
With weary and wary traveller, a warm smile goes such a long way. Listening and answering your guests' questions means so much. Save for the nice young man at the Bar (he was Brazilian) and the sweet Valet Manager everyone else I dealt with (especially the folks at the front desk) were curt and dismissive with me.
It was my first time in Dallas and my first time at the Fairmont again is a really beautiful hotel. If the employees had been a tad less harried, it would have been a beautiful memory.
We are coming back in December, while you only get to give one first impression, maybe between now and then some coaching will happen and they will all be less impatient and nicer. Who knows?
Staff is amazing. Food in the Pyramid is to die for. Gold Level is superb.
Place is awesome. Most recommend.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Love this place.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Dallas. Comfortable room and great guest service. Looking forward to my next stay.
The Fairmont has a special place in my heart. From the valet to the whole staff. I’m handicap and they go out of their way to make sure I’m comfortable. I’m also a dialysis patient. Not knowing where to go they took me to my session and picked me up. They took such good care of me. Pushing me by my wheel chair to my room. Thank u Fairmont for taking care of me and family.
Was treated well. Room was nice. Would recommend and go back again.
When the occupancy rate is low, they cut the buffet from breakfast and close the dinning room in the evening. One wonders, is that 5 star service? Should one need to inquire if there are sufficient guests in order to be served breakfast or dinner on the property? Do you not chlorinate the swimming pool if there aren't sufficient guests to pay for it? The new management has taken this property down several notches. I asked to see the general manager when I couldn't have the breakfast buffet and he said he would pass along my concerns. Funny, I thought the buck stopped with the GM. He didn't leave a card otherwise I'd call his service out by name. This was my last night in a Fairmont property, its a shame because the staff here has been great.
I love the setting, the room. Great for a romantic weekend. Except the exercise class with full blasting music making the room vibrate. And you can try to enjoy the pool but not relaxing at all. Bummed we just checked in and have to deal with this all weekend. Not worth the $700 for 2 nights.
Excellent hotel, feels lush and expensive. Staff is accommodating. Good area. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. On the bottom floor there is a cozy Starbucks that does some serious business too. Best hotel I've stayed at in Dallas so far!
All in all it wasn't a bad stay. The pillows leave a lot to be desired. My recommendation would bring your own. Our room was a corner room and where the AC vent was did not allow the room to cool down quickly so our first night there was a little stuffy because the room just would not cool down at a quick pace. But other than that the staff and everything were great.
If you ever get your vehicle stolen while in their possession take my advice and don't contact your insurance company; if you do you will be subjected to higher premiums, you won't get what you paid for the vehicle and in all likelihood you will lose your deductible. Your best bet is to pay your expenses and hire an attorney and force the hotel to do the right thing because they won't do it on their own.
Amazing stay here in downtown Dallas. Very clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, and excellent location. By the way, did I mention the pool? Perfect for a Texas summer night. $4 beers during happy hour too, with happens to be everyday. Enjoyed my time in big D.
Let me start by saying that this is a beautiful hotel. Whether I would stay again is undecided. I will start with the great things we experienced. We checked in a little early and was greatful that they allowed us to do so. Our room was very nice. Great choice in bathroom products. The concierge was very helpful and full of information about things for my husband and I to do for the evening. We had a wonderful dinner at the Pyramid complete with great service from our waiter.
The things that made me unsure of a repeat stay: When returning from lunch we walked past the parking area for the valet. Our vehicle was on the end so it was in direct view. Our driver side window was down and their was a bird perched on the window. My husband was not too happy about that. We told the valet and who sent someone to roll it up. That could have been bad. They manager called our room to apologize and told us they would compensate our parking. That was kind but we had to have it removed the next morning when it appeared on our bill. Our TV was not working when we attempted to turn it on later that evening. Maintenance responded within 20 minutes. The TV was unplugged behind the dresser. Easy fix but odd for a hotel. The most bothersome thing for myself, and I somewhat see a pattern. Several of the bad reviews have to do with teenagers and children. We were having a romantic getaway. Away from our children and wanting to spend some adult time together.
Fairmont Dallas is a great hotel. Our room was beautiful and looked over downtown Dallas. The staff was friendly and courteous. The location was great, right downtown, near the event we attended. We enjoyed the tea and lemonade in the lobby. Thanks for a great stay Fairmont Dallas! We'll be back!
Omg! We didn’t want to leave! Thank you Fairmont for a wonderful staycation! Sheila your voice in the morning made me have a wonderful day… You made sure I felt special by setting up coffee/tea and gave me a little extra time to get to breakfast!
Breakfast was amazing! We did a groupon special and it included the buffet. We were running a little late so they allowed us to order from the menu in exchange. It was more than worth it! The food was out of this world and the service was outstanding! The room was beautiful and the pool was spacious. We enjoyed John at the pool. Room service pastries, service, and coffee service was wonderful. Service again… with Rudy was amazing. Little Jo spent time with us with his humor and suggestions when we had our bags brought up and made us feel special when we left. We were also spoiled by valet with water for our ride home.
The only small idea I had was more service at the pool on Sunday. It was definitely busy and there was no table service. We had to walk up to the bar which wasn’t a big deal but we would have probably ordered more had there been waitstaff.
Oh and to note: The Fountain Place is next door to the hotel. What a special place for peace and the unbelievable masterpiece waterfalls! You have to go.
Overall… 5 star. I never go back to hotels unless they are superstar and I felt spoiled here. I’ve been to some of the best and this one made me one to Come back. Thanks Fairmont!
The Fairmont went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. From valet, to bellhop, front desk, room service, concierge, dining staff, cleaning crews, and everyone in-between we were blown away with how incredibly friendly and professional everyone was. We were in town with our two young children and the hotel was more than accommodating and welcoming to them throughout our stay. We can't wait to come back!
This place made my stay in Dallas, Texas absolutely memorable! This was my first trip to Dallas and my stay at the Fairmont made a great impression! I was greeted by valet personnel the minute I drove up the hotel. The gentleman opened my door and offered assistance with my luggage. The young man even went so far as to offer alternate parking that was literally a short walking distance away. The desk employees were just as helpful and checked me in what seemed to be record time! There was no fumbling around with my reservation and they treated me as though they not only expected me, but were happy to see me. Try getting that type of treatment at another hotel! The room was amazing. It came with a king sized bed and gloriously clean linens. Oh, and I had plenty of towels! It is a wonder how some places neglect the need for towels. I was also provided a work area with a desk, plenty of outlets, lamp, and a complimentary, super-fast internet connection. The room was clean and I had a great view of the city from the eleventh floor. I contacted the front desk only once during my stay and not only were they quick to answer, they were extremely helpful in finding the best places in the city to dine. If every business trip included a stay like this, I probably would stay on the road more frequently!
Room was spacious and very comfortable while in no way lacking luxury. Pool waa gorgeous and staff was polite, helpful and even sociable from check in to check out. Only complaint was waking up to a bill (already charged) for items removed from mini fridge — items were not consumed, but moved temporarily to use fridge as chilling station for beer we'd brought ourselves. There was no posted notice that the fridge was not to be used in such a manner, nor was there an alternate refrigerator in the room. The charges were removed at checkout when we explained the situation, though, so no harm done. All in all a great stay!
We recently spent the weekend at the Fairmont and I can honestly say that I was a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful, our room was tastefully decorated and very clean. Most importantly, the staff was exceptional. They attentive, warm and very accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was a pleasurable one. The service was very impressive. I will definitely be returning to the Fairmont.
The hotel was awesome! Valet service was a bit pricey but they are quick and in the long run, we thought it was worth it! Called for our car before we headed down for our room and not once did we have to wait around for our car to pick us up! Gentlemen outside are well mannered and have smiles on their faces all the time! The room was great (only down to it was the walk in closet smelled a bit like damp water) but I think people use it as a storage for wet clothes. The kids were greeted with toys as they walked into the hotel (which was awesome) Only thing was when we looked for the pool after we got out of the elevator, we were a bit lost — we walked out the doors and no sign of a pool, Little did we know we had to walk around the building corner. Maybe some signs/arrows will work for the future. Overall it was great and we would definitely stay again!
My doorman and valet experience was EXCELLENT! I specifically want to highlight two men — — >> Brian and Chris. These guys were superb. They should be commended on the level of excellence and care they take with their position. Thank you so much for all you do and I look forward to returning.
I can't type enough words on how much I love the view from the rooftop or the bar downstairs. This hotel gave me that "whoa I'm somewhere fancy" vibe without it feeling like the wrong type of somewhere fancy. I'm staying here every single time I'm back in Dallas because that just feels like the best way to treat myself.
I refuse to stay here again. The only reason I am giving any stars at all was because my room was clean and I was able to slightly relax prior to the horrible incident at this place. My neighbors were incredibly noisy. Granted, I cannot control others but people should have some courtesy. I was looking forward to a nice weekend visiting friends who live in the area. I chose The Fairmont over other hotels based off of their rating And good reputation. However, never again will I stay there. My sense of peace and faith in humanity are lost thanks to this place. I used valet as that's the option I felt was safest for my car. Huge mistake. Someone working valet decided it was a great idea to not only move my car from where it was supposed to be, but the terrible individual went through my car and stole a pair of shoes I had left in there. Everything I left in my car was tossed around. My car looked like it had been through the ringer. It smelled badly of marijuana as if they had taken refuge in my car to smoke. Despicable. When my boyfriend and I went to the car, we were on a search for it with another attendant and were in complete shock. We were only provided a refund for the parking. Ridiculous. I will not be sending any business here for work or pleasure. Good luck to the rest of you who opt to trust these people. They have yet to apologize for this disheartening experience. ****Update**** Never received a call from management! What poor service.
Fairmont Dallas provides a solid, snazzy historical hotel experience. From the moment you walk in till the moment you walk out they take care of you. Staff are everywhere and they are always friendly and knowledgeable. This is an especially excellent location for events.
The Fairmont Dallas was awesome and I was impressed with the level of service I received. It was great from the time I arrived until the time I left. Room service was great… the food was good and the staff member who delivered, I believe her name was Camille, couldn't have been nicer. Great service all around from her. The room itself was a nice size, the bed was comfortable and the TV came with Google Chrome which I thought was cool. I called valet upon check out to get my car and everyone was attentive once I got outside and checked to make sure I had called. There ended up being some miscommunication about bringing my car around and to me the wait wasn't that long, but the valet apologized for the delay anyway and made sure I was credited back for parking, just goes to show they have a standard they want to keep in order to make their guests happy. I would definitely stay again, wish I could have stayed longer.
The people, the service, the accommodations were excellent. We stayed in the executive level and it was just anything that we wanted was there for us. We love the valet especially we always would call and our vehicle would be there immediately. We spend every anniversary here they always accommodate us by giving us the same room on the same floor and we just absolutely love it. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to enjoy a nice quiet respectable place to spend quality time with each other.
Touring comedian Jake Daniels stayed here while performing in Dallas and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the rooms are very nice. There's a restaurant, rooftop garden, and a Starbucks onsite, as well as a masseuse! Just for the night or a couple days this place is perfect for our clients in the entertainment industry and any traveler at all! We look forward to sending our future clients here again when in the area!
Top notch service! I was upgraded when I arrived. I had personalized bottles of lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in my bathroom. Received a note under the door giving me a head's up on the following day's weather, so I could be prepared. My experience has been great! Thank you Fairmont.
A nice hotel we've stayed in. It's located at a convenient location if you need to do something in the downtown area. Parking is only valet but nothing to worry about. Rooms we nice. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe so that had more space and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We did enjoy our stay and will come back next time.
What a beautiful hotel! The location is within walking distance of almost anything you would need. They also offer shuttle service to and from the airport if needed and will also take you anywhere you need to go within a mile. The staff is very friendly and helpful! The rooms are very spacious and the beds feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. The view from our room of downtown Dallas was breath taking. Great place to stay! Thank you!
The hotel has acensores very despacios and also problems with the bathrooms.
My stay at the Fairmont Dallas was an excellent experience. Immediately upon driving up the valet had our room key and our room was ready, for which I was grateful after the long drive. Everyone we spoke to was nice and professional, going the extra mile to get us reservations for dinner and anticipating our needs. The room and view we're beautiful, and the gym is well equipped. We we're especially grateful for the punctual and efficient shuttle service that took us back and forth to market during our stay. I have found my favorite hotel, I highly recommend Fairmont Dallas and will definitely stay at the other Fairmont locations during my travels!
I love the Fairmont! Its romantic and professional, the staff bends over backwards to make sure you're happy and it offers great rates compared to lesser hotels in the 4 star and above class. Though I dont care for valet parking, their valets are very contentious and take great care of my cars.
Beautiful place, very good service I RECOMMEND it.
The amazing staff at The Fairmont make it my go-to Dallas hotel. It's not the newest or fanciest in downtown, but the stay is always 5 stars. It's also much more accessible to Uptown than many of the other downtown hotels, where the complimentary Suburban and friendly driver can get you to many places you might need to go.
We stayed for 5 days, was our last day today in their king suite with the downtown view, service was great, staffs were polite and great food as always for fairmont! had my sweet dreams notes almost every night which never expected. Shout out to the front desk "symeon" if I haven't mistaken! thank you to u and to fairmont! was indeed a well spent bday vacay!
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was courteous and made sure we were comfortable. The rooms was spacious and had a fantastic view! I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the Dallas area.
I had no idea after driving for 5 hours straight, that valet parking would be mandatory and an additional $36 per night. I couldn't access my Jeep if and when I wanted to, except to leave. The entire air of the place reeks of pretention. We had a long road trip and arrived in sweats (comfy travel clothes). When we walked in we were stared at by staff like we didn't belong in their fancy hotel! They even asked "here? " with wide eyes and condescension when we said, "yes we have a reservation. " For the price, the room was lackluster at best. The bed was so small and uncomfortable, the sheets made me itch all night long, the pillows are flat, the bathroom tiny, no mirrors to sit at to do hair or makeup for a night out, awful yellow lighting, the tub so small I couldn't stretch out my legs, and the shower literally trickled out of the head. I've been spit on with more force. To top it off, they put a hold on my card for twice the price, despite the room being paid for well in advance. I would trade a continental breakfast and a warm smile for their stuffy marble facade any day. My husband and I thought it would be a nice little treat for ourselves, but we will definitely find a comfortable stay elsewhere next time we visit Dallas.
Beautiful downtown Dallas hotel that is great for events or a nice place to stay if you are in town for a few nights. Staff is friendly, prompt and informative. Valet parking is easily accessible and quick whether you are coming or going. The Fairmont is highly recommended!
I really enjoyed my stay. I was there for a week. Good room service. Clean room. Nice bed. They even helped my boyfriend with some rice to try and save his phone he dropped in the pool. Helpful staff. The only downside to me was the toilet. You could hear when. Someone went. But we just played some music to insure privacy. I will say tho, it seemed to be a general thing on the basis of public restrooms.
The hotel is beautiful and food is good. The room we have is for handicap cap persons. Which is great however I find a few missing items which I'm sure handicap people would also like. First there are no make-up mirrors and only the bathroom mirror can be used if in a wheelchair it's so far away I have trouble putting in my make up. Second there is no full length mirror. Third the closet is for brooms you can't hang freshly pressed clothing as it would be wrinkled and possibly damaged due to how the hanger hooks have been set up. Finally the bed is way to soft for my liking.
The hotel itself is located in a great area of downtown Dallas, there are many great places to see and eat at within walking distance of the hotel. The room was tidy and well kept, water pressure was good and ac worked fine. Every employee we interacted with was courteous and helpful.
Thanks to Bryan the doorman and Michael the bellman for helping us get our car parked and our things to our room. Such sweet guys! Our room was so comfortable and we rested we rested well. Love the hospitality!
I booked my stay at this hotel through a third-party site and chose a Jr. Suite. When I arrived I was offered an upgrade to a full-size suite for a small additional charge and I accepted. The room was enormous — far bigger than any other room I have ever stayed in. Everything inside the room was very nice and very clean. The view from our room was amazing, too. It felt like a very good value for the price, I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is classy upscale hotel, the crew were exceptionally nice and accommodating (not snobby at all like some fancy hotels), everyone from the bell man to the valet to the front dest & receptionists were really nice and helpful. The Fairmont is really well located if you like down town attractions with museums, restaurants & anything you might want or need available within walking distance. The room was spacious, bed was super comfy, great view and even the art on the walls was nice. They offered some different sweets and water when we arrived — Nice touch! Be prepared for $32 Valet parking but in the heart of Downtown Dallas there aren't really other options. Great Hotel, would love to stay again!
Touring musician Howdy Darrell stayed here while performing in Dallas and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the rooms are very nice. There's a restaurant, rooftop garden, and a Starbucks onsite, as well as a masseuse! Just for the night, or a couple days this place is perfect for our clients in the entertainment industry!
Good hotel but it all costs up to the internet and the parking.
Stayed at the Fairmont on Sunday & Monday nights. Staff & valets get an A++; they were professional, friendly & extremely accommodating. Great location. Within walking distance to great restaurants, museums, Cathedral of Guadalupe & First Baptist Dallas. Our room was quiet, clean & comfortable. Felt safe walking around downtown. There was a nice Starbucks in the lobby area. ☕️
Nice and clean with all the amenities you need. Large out door pool is very pleasant and stays open late. The gym downstairs is not as large but offers clean and well maintained equipment. I used it late at night, early morning and no one was there. The down stairs bar and restaurant, The Pyramid, is excellent. Staff is very friendly and top notch. Oh and they have brand new automated minibars which was a pleasant surprise! Love the guest room amenities offered! Brand new flat screen tv's as well. Oh and their soap and toiletries are very unique to the Fairmont brand and a must try if you have not already. Highly recommend the Fairmont Dallas when you are planning your next visit to Dallas.
Excellent place, but you have to pay for it all.
Quiet hotel with lots to offer. We were greeted by the hotel staff member. Kids are offered toys from their red wagon. The rooms were average size and the in-room amenities were about the same as any similar hotel. The closet was a walk-in-perfect! Bathroom could use a little updating-mostly the toilet. Still the old school H. S. Lever type. Bathrobe was a little stiff and rough. Views were great. Located across the highway from Perot museum. Pool was large and there is a small pool for kids. Very impressed with their gardens on the terrace. They are growing lots of vegetables & herbs (peppers, tomatoes, figs, okra and squash). I think they even had bee hives. Very cool! Staff was super friendly and attentive. Would stay here again to try the bar and restaurant.
The hotel was great. The staff was super friendly and made me feel important. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The restaurant had good breakfast (all other meals we ate out). They offer a courtesy car that takes guests to many of the interesting attractions nearby. They also have a shuttle from/to the Dallas airport. Technically, one may not even need a car.
Fun for a half marathon. The hotel was a good experience. It was a little pricey, but had fantastic service. The room had a beautiful view and was very clean. Restaurant food Pyramid was satisfactory, but the waiter was wrong and not happy with their work.
This is a nice hotel in downtown Dallas. My room had a cool view of downtown and everything was clean. The soap offerings were high quality. There was a pool but I didn't go in it. The fitness center was adequate.
I decided to stay at the fairmont with my significant other for our vacation in Dallas. So far I havent had any neccesarily "bad" experiences. The staff have all seemed fairly friendly and kudos to the cleaning staff. They even went out of their way to plug in our laptops. However, I do believe that certain amenities should have been afforded to the guest… even at lower class establishments they have things such as a microwave and fridge available for free. Not what I was expecting for my birthday.
Customer service was very good. From valet parking to check out the experience was smooth. The package amenities that I had requested were all met and wonderful. There are two reasons that I can't give five stars. First was the disappointing view. I had requested a higher floor for a better view, and was greeted with a view of the ugly building next door and a construction pit. Also, the room smelled as though someone had been smoking in it.
Beautiful room and lobby, great bar and room service options, only complaint is the bathroom is too small.
We went to the Fairmont for drinks. The wine selection was nice the portions were good and the price was fine. The one challenge I faced was having to pay $14 to valet parking; that was a bit spendy for drinks after work. I also enjoyed the fact that while I was waiting for my car to be brought around the valet team offered me water on the very hot night as I was leaving. I will probably go back for drinks with friends.
I have stayed here a few times since last year. It seems like each stay has gotten progressively worse on customer service and hospitality. That's the one thing you think a hotel the caliber of the Fairmont would excel at. I have medical conditions and special dietary needs. It has caused issues for the staff to accommodate for a simple request of providing a fridge and microwave for me. The last stay the hotel staff offered to reheat my food at $5 per meal after declining to provide me with a microwave. This stay the staff forgot to bring the fridge and I had to call again because my medications and meals began to thaw out. I brought my own microwave to avoid bothering the staff and having to pay to reheat my own food. One of your staff members brought the fridge and had to unplug a lamp and the microwave and said there wasn't enough plugs and he'd be back in 5 minutes with an extension cord and I stayed 3 days and that cord didn't show up until the night before I left. The Air conditioning in the room did not work and I had to request a fan just to get some sleep. The last night of my stay it was too late to check out and I stayed at a different hotel. A luxury hotel Should not have these type of issues this is my third stay and every time I've had issues with accommodations. I will not be returning for my other trips to Dallas and neither will my company. I sincerely hope these issues are corrected.
Good experience, Starbucks inside, seemed to have a great pre-party bar that was full of people. The room was nice, clean and a good size. No free Wi-Fi.
A great place to bring the family. From the moment you walk in concierge will treat you like you're their most VIP client, and the folks at the front desk are very very helpful as well. There's a bit of a price to as far as food is considered, but that's all understandable giving it is a high end hotel. Plus the ample amount of restaurants and activities in the vicinity of the hotel makes up for that just fine!
Great hotel, overall nice staff. Except Shannon, she was extremely rude and left me with a bad impression. After I checked out I was waiting for a friend in the lobby and she was incredibly rude with hurrying me out of the hotel. "You can't just hang out around the hotel if you're not a current guest, you have to go now! " She was clearly not up to Fairmont standards. I don't fully mind being told to go but if I just spent several hundred dollars at the hotel I at least expect a little courtesy in hurrying me out.
Very affordable luxury hotel, with good accommodations and comfortable beds. The room was a bit small as well as a dated TV, they charge you for everything. Other than that, service was excellent.
We attended a wedding at Fairmount. The rooms and attached bar were beautiful. The service was fantastic and friendly. Very nice atmosphere.
My 8 yr son and I were in Dallas for WrestleMania. We also attended the Monday Night RAW at the American Airlines Center. The hotel was a great location to the arena. We took a taxi there but it was close enough to walk back. The roof top pool was gorgeous. Very comfortable beds and an amazing staff. This will definitely be a future top pick on a return trip to Dallas.
This review is only about the brunch. Not that it's bad, it would be perfectly great, but at $69 a person, this is easily $40 overpriced. There are tons of options in Dallas, and if you're going to be charging this kind of premium, you'd better bring it. Save your money and go to breadwinners, or even The Mansion. Just as qual and much easier on the pocketbook.
Everything seemed to be just normal for a hotel. There were a few things that will make me never stay there again. The big issue I had was the air conditioning in the room was horrible. Other issues were uncomfortable bed, scratchy bedding, and I am required to pay $15 for internet. Those are probably not big issues for some people, but for me they are big enough to make me never stay there again.
Stayed at the Fairmont after attending a Dallas Stars game. Very nice hotel within walking distance of American Airlines Center and Victory Park. Comfortable and clean room/bed. Would definitely stay again.
Amazing service. Valet workers went above and beyond to make sure we went to the best restaurant in town. Service desk was stuck up though. I'd just recommend pandering to your actual customers instead of basing service on how people look. (white male in cheap old clothes that frequents the area)
Our room was not properly cleaned and prepped upon our arrival. The ice bucket was not cleaned out, there were no soap bars, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion in the room. The sheets were not placed on the bed properly. The bed was not made. Things were clearly out of place. However, the gold club was great. If it was not for the good experience at the gold club, I would have given this Fairmont one star.
The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and there is a lot of spacein the suite. The staff are fantastic and its nice to have the Starbucks in the hotel! We had a few drinks in the bar and they were excellent cocktails.
The Fairmont Dallas never fails to exceed our expectations. The best service of any hotel we've ever stayed in. The Gold Level is worth every penny!
Nice hotel. They added a lobby bar since the last time I was there. The only thing I don't like is that they don't allow guest to self park at their hotel. They make you park in a unsecured public pay lot down the street.
Great staff, excellent room, and room service breakfast was delicious. They even caught that we were there for our anniversary and left us champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries.
Came for a conference although I didn't stay at the hotel. A LOT of meeting spaces and lots of variety. Staff was so-so, I felt at times like I was inconveniencing them. The food had room for improvement. Great place to host a conference, however.
The last few times that I stayed in Dallas, I've stayed at the Omni. I wanted to try some place different, which is why I figured I would give it a chance… First of all, what really disappointed me, was an elevator experience. I was in the elevator with an employee, maybe bell hop/ valet. The elevator stopped and instead of him being polite and letting me go first, he darted in front of me. (It was only us two in the elevator) I know, not a huge deal but not what I expect from a 4 star hotel. There was wallpaper in the bathroom peeling off. And it was super hot in the room. I know it's summer time in Texas, but it was hot! And lastly. We were waiting for the valet to bring us our vehicle on Sunday morning. The whole time that we were up front, one of the valet's was on his cell phone the whole time. Just unprofessional and would not recommend. Go stay at the Omni. Way better experience.
Nice looking lobby. Huge suite room. But place is run down. Bunch of TV channels dont work. Have the a/c on full blast but isnt cooler than 74 degrees. Tiny bathroom. No water pressure i. Zhower.
Outstanding place. Treated me like a king.
Nice my mom and dad stayed here before and it was pricey but better than the W in Dallas but like mist really nice hotels they charge you for everything.
I will never stay here again. Unless your company is paying for your stay don't stay here. 1) The price makes it seem like you get a lot for your money but that is not at all true. It is nothing special at all. 2) Basically nothing that is provided, is free. Most outrageously, NO FREE INTERNET. 3) Everything that they make you pay for, is outrageously expensive. Just to put what I'm saying in perspective, to have a simple grilled cheese brought to your room = $12. Grilled. Cheese. $12. Not including tip. 4) My room lacked some things that I was expecting to be able to use. Mainly, a microwave. Also, though I'm over the age of 21 they felt the need to lock the mini-bar that is attached to my refrigerator, making it impossible for me to use the refrigerator. 5) Every person that I came in contact with in this hotel, especially the employees (save the valets who were nice) was snobby and looked at me like I was going to trash their hotel because I look like I'm a teenager. Its possible that this is just the famous Dallas snobbishness, but this hotel is the only place that I came across it. Mainly, almost everything about my stay at the UnFairmont Dallas angered me. Unless you have someone paying for your stay in Dallas, stay away from this hotel.
While on the outside, it might look like rundown apartments from the 1960s, don't be fooled. The Fairmont lives up to everything that you'd expect. A couple downsides. While they have an outdoor pool, it's unheated. It was so cold while I was there that I couldn't muster the strength to check if they had a headed jacuzzi. Also, The Fairmont isn't afraid to nickle and dime you. I guess that's expected from a downtown luxury hotel. Parking was $25 a day and valet was mandatory. On top of that, valet service was hit or miss. Usually pretty prompt. But one time, I left my car for the valet, even told the doorman, and what do you know, but 25 minutes later, I get a call in my room asking why I had left my car downstairs.
Beautiful hotel with an exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. I highly recommend this place. I stayed here with my teenage daughters for two nights and we absolutely loved this hotel. From now on, I will always stay here when I visit Dallas. The hotel is just gorgeous. Clean and well decorated. The staff members could not have been friendlier. The location is perfect, as the hotel is within walking distance of the museums in the Arts District and the restaurants and bars on the West End. Deep Ellum is just a short cab ride away. My only complaint at all is that I wish the Starbucks on site remained open later (they close at 5pm). It was freezing cold outside and we were craving hot chocolate or a nice latte in the evening! Overall gorgeous place, perfect location, and exceptional customer service.
My wife and I along with our 2 year old were in Dallas for a wedding at 5pm on Saturday. The Fairmont check in time is a late 3pm but I figured that would be enough time for us to get ready and go once we arrived in town, and I hoped we could check in early. We arrived in Dallas at noon and I called to check on the possibility of early check in. I was told that the hotel had sold out the night before so early check in would not be likely. Fine. We went to the Perot Museum and had a great time. We arrived at the Fairmont at 2pm to check in and was told they would call me when the room was ready. I asked if they had an estimated time because I had a toddler that needed to nap and a wedding at 5pm and was told it wouldn't be long. At 3:15 (after waiting in line for 30 minutes) I again asked what what going on and when it was estimated that we could get into a room and was told that they were backed up on cleaning rooms and that they could give me no estimated time. The issue was that the Notre Dame football team was staying in this hotel and had a game at 6:30pm. The hotel was allowing the football team a late check out and that is why there were no rooms open at 3pm. The problem was that no one on the staff would admit to this and just played dumb. We left and went to the Hyatt and it was great. We made the wedding on time and I got a call from Abigail from the Fairmont at 6:00pm telling me my room was ready. Ridiculous.

Terrible customer service, rude employees who lie and whe. You ask for the security footage to prove your point, they will not provide it. Rooms are dated and overpriced.
