Review of Hyatt Place Nashville Opryland 3*
The hotel was adequate, but I'm taking a star off of that due to the strange corner-cutting that was evident everywhere. Any one of the issues listed below is, by itself, negligible, but the overall pattern is of a hotel that has let things slide a little too long:
-the bathroom shower door didn't close all the way and water would run out.
-the shower (2nd floor) took several minutes to warm up. Alot of wasted water.
-the dehumidifying fan did not work
-the AC made the entire room smell musty
-the fitness room provided no means of cleaning the equipment
-the "a. M. Kitchen Skillet" might have been great, but I never saw it. Breakfast, minus the skillets was served at 6 AM. The first morning the skillets didn't appear until around 6:30. When they did appear, it was only 4 pancakes and sausages. Who knows about the third skillet. The second morning I gave up when at 6:30 they were not out. I didn't try again.
-speaking of breakfast, the packaged yogurt was, at 6 AM no less, already room temperature, except for the two they had set outside the bowl on the cold-plate that was to keep everything chilled. Those were completely frozen on the bottom.
-the skim milk was actually 2% milk that they had just poured into the skim milk containers.
-partially eaten food on the elevator floor one morning.
Again, these issues, individually are trivial for the most part (excepting the room-temp yogurt and fitness center cleanliness). Add it all up and it is a pretty poor experience for something like a Hyatt.
