Easy check-in and check-out, nice continental breakfast, clean rooms. The pillows in my room were a little lumpy, which made it difficult to get fully comfortable. Great location close to the interstate, very walkable to Chattanooga Whiskey Co. The river and the River Walk Trail, and lots of great restaurants.

Location was good. Pool was small. No hot tub. Friendly staff. Plenty of places within walking distance. Free parking. Comfortable beds. Prices were a little high, but still a reasonable deal.

Very clean and modern hotel. Bed was comfortable, TV had a sleep timer, and breakfast was delicious. Staff was very nice and helpful.

We have stayed in this hotel twice while visiting the Chattanooga area. Very friendly and helpful staff, Rene Baker, was especially helpful in booking our room. The room was spacious, clean, quiet. We enjoy walking the city so this location was fantastic for us. We took Uber (approximately $4 — $6) for the places we wanted to visit when the walk was too long, or too hot. Highly recommend this hotel!

It was clean, and the rate for a suite sized room was low, $113. It's in downtown, but a few blocks away from where the primary tourist areas begin, situated between the interstate exits. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but there's a decent selection of cereal, egg beaters, yogurt, cheap sausage, etc. Some will not like it, I found it acceptable especially considering the room rates. The Wi-Fi was fine, as was the TV. You know, it's nothing fancy, but a good deal. I would stay here again.

Rooms were nice and clean and modern, but the electrical left some to be desired. The lamps next to the bed were plugged in to outlets controlled by the switch by the front door, which also controlled the entry light, so you couldn't have the lamps on without the entry light. Also in order to get power on the outlets in the lamp you had to have the entry light on. Luckily the lamp outlet didn't work anyway…

Jamal was out customer service rep when we checked in… He was kind and very welcoming. He made quick work of checking us in and was very helpful when we asked for suggestions of places for late night snacks and drinks!. The room was clean and updated but the bathroom had some mold in the shower… Almost a perfect stay! Would go back again!

The breakfast is amazing. Most deffinetly best breakfast I have ate at a hotel! The pool area was nice. Staff was very excellent when we needed something. They even have the shampoo and conditior which is from bath and body works! Truly impressed with this hotel!

This was the most disgusting hotel room I have ever seen in my life. The room, which was over $100 a night had white stains all over the carpet. Even the hallways and hallway mirrors were dirty. Please see the following pictures. I immediately had to book at another location across the street. I do not know how in the world this hotel has good reviews. DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff was not sorry, did not apologize, did not come check on the room when I was there. Horrible!

Very nice room. Very spacious. Staff here is very pleasant and helpful. No view of city or mountains as our reservation stated. Also is not in the downtown area like we thought. Need to have transportation to head into downtown at night anyway. Otherwise great place to stay.

We were treated with open arms and smiles all around. The GM Rene ensured our happiness and comfort were at a max after an unfortunate heating issue at our home during — 2° weather. The breakfast was tasteful, pillows and bed soft. Our room was spotless! Such a great experience.

Location is great! It's only 5 minutes from the aquarium. The beds were comfortable. The staff we dealt with were helpful and nice.

Clean and comfortable stay in the middle of the city. Shower curtain was a little short but that's the only negative I can think of. Breakfast was nice as well.

We had an awesome experience at this property! Upon check in we had a minor personal problem and the Gneral Manager, Rene Baker, went out of her way to assist us. Her above-and-beyond assistance is NOT often found in this day-and-age of travel. This visit marked the end of my business travel week, and the beginning of a mini family vacation. This property jump started our time away with a super positive experience. All the staff was equally friendly and helpful. It's a great little property nestled close to so many Chattanooga attractions. We will stay here again!

The location was perfect for us. We were walking distance to a Starbucks. The staff was super respectful, professional and friendly. The room was perfect for just my wife and I. The breakfast was fantastic with many options to choose from. Overall a great experience.

This location was perfect for my recent business trip. The room was nice and clean. The shower was decent with good pressure (important to folks who travel often). The breakfast was in line with other Holiday Inn Express. Hotel staff was fine and friendly. I'd stay here again if returning to Chattanooga.

Stayed here for three nights on two reservations, and the front desk made that transition easy. Very clean facilities, nice staff. One front desk attendant said hi whenever he saw us. The breakfast was good and hot. The best part was, even though we put the privacy sign on the door since we like to sleep in late, we were left a bag of fresh towels and travel toiletries outside our door every day, which is the first time I've ever had that happen before. Overall, we had a very nice stay here.

Clean room, friendly staff. Room was facing the mlk road and it was very loud. Breakfast was disappointing compared to other places I have stayed. Over all a good value in all things considered.

Nice beds. Pretty clean. Wi-Fi doesn't work. Breakfast was pretty normal. Small tv. Awesome showers. Good parking.

Great location, clean room (with a jacuzzi! ), comfortable bed. And the cinnamon rolls are to die for!

Hotel room is great. The location is walkable to everything downtown. There is some road construction going on a block away which makes the sidewalk situation tricky but that's not a permanent problem — just something to plan around.

Good hotel. Showing its age a bit but it's clean. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Beds were comfy and tall!

I give this location because of the great service the stuff provided. Helpful and understanding, the hotel was clean, free parking and great amenities. Highly recommend it and I will definitely stay there again if I rerun to Chattanooga.

Overall good stay. Rooms were clean, and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was a good mix of food and fresh. The hotel is located very close to many attractions in an industrial park area. However the pool was closed for unknown reasons, so we did not get a chance to swim.

Better for a cheaper hotel option, location is a little further from downtown than the other holiday inn. Did not actually stay here — we just went in the lobby. It looked alright — just not as fresh as the new holiday inn express we had just stayed at elsewhere.

Clean room, right on the edge of down town. Good access to all areas of downtown and wick aces to interstate. Good breakfast too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it.

The hospitality, from the front desk to the laundry room and through out were amazing. Will stay here again. The breakfast was better than any restaurant. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Five stars.

Wi-Fi did not work. I had some work to do and I couldn't because it never got fixed. They kept telling us the lie that they were working on it. Everything else was fine, but I really needed the Wi-Fi this time to work.

Rooms were clean and nice. Problem with TV and they immediately fixed the issue by upgrading to a suite.

Friendly/helpful staff, clean room and bathroom. The location isn't great but we had no problems for the better part of 3 days. All in all a great stay.

Convient, clean, good people BUT, If you let the luggage cart loose on sloped driveway, it will travel 2-3 blocks toward Market Street before you can catch it. I know.

I was very pleased with my room. Very clean, staff was super nice. I found the TV remote was missing so I phoned the front desk and she personally came up, identified the TV and found a remote promptly! I expressed we could live without it but she insisted to find one. That is the kind of service I provide my customers and rarely see it in action else where. I typically look for a Holiday Inn Express when I travel for that very reason!

I emailed the day after this happened but never heard back after months so I have decided to post this: Around 2 AM on May 9 after driving all night from Paris, TN we chose Holiday Inn Express in downtown Chattanooga to spend the night. We approached the clerk and requested a room and were told an audit was in process and no check in could take place for 30-45 minutes. The clerk was NOT helpful and didn't offer any solutions at all. We were able to find another hotel that also had their system down but they were extremely helpful and able to check us in manually. We normally stop at Hampton Inns on our trips but decided to try HIE for the first time. If this is the level of service that is offered, we won't be trying it again.

The rooms are very clean. Good customer service. And a wide verity of options on the continental breakfast. I travel alot for work but I Have found Holiday Inn Express & Suites is my favorite place to stay when I'm away from home.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL if you dont want your vehicle broken into and contents stolen! At least 3 vehicle's were broken into including ours during our stay. They tended to target trucks with bed covers or work trucks. The manager did not give a care and was not helpful.

Never been so disappointed in my entire life. Watch your credit cards they charged us almost 200.00 in "deposits" even after paying 143.00 for one night. And they refuse to refund the money.

Awful experience I didn't even stay here and they charged my card for $169. I called the manager curry to get an explanation and he says his hands are tied and tells me to his boss Greg, then lies to me giving me a random persons number.

This hotel is not really downtown like we thought. It was a 5-10 minute walk to the trolley. The smoke alarm went off about 11pm the first night and someone else's alarm (in an adjoining room) went off at 7am the next morning. Our room was great and the breakfast was good. But we'd probably stay somewhere else that is actually downtown next time.

What a pleasant reprieve from the other hotel we had planned to stay in (but left after problems with door lock and unfriendly response)! Super friendly and polite staff, CLEAN room, lovely pool — no chlorine smell, perfect temperature; tasteful art. Overall, made me want to choose Holiday Inn Express wherever I go next.

I made a reservation for myself and 3 kids to come into town to see the aquarium. We decided to get away and give mom a weekend to herself. The hotel is packed, and as it turns out it's packed with kids out for their prom weekend. Needless to say that this stay has been a total disaster. High schoolers roaming the halls scream and shouting, slamming doors, and generally making noise until 4am isn't the best thing in the world for someone who's trying to put three kids, including a 5 year old, to bed in order to get up to go to the aquarium the next day. I don't blame the staff. Every time I called the front desk to complain the one, single staff person on duty was running around doing something. He was very nice, very very apologetic, and very very overworked. Management knew that the place was booked, and who was booked into the rooms. They should have anticipated the issues and brought in one or two more staffers to help. I also don't blame the prom kids. After all, they paid for their rooms, and this is what kids do for prom. More power to them. But there should have been enough staff on hand to help keep the peace. Or maybe the hotel, knowing that kids have booked the place for prom night, should either schedule more staffers, or require chaperones. At 4am the noise finally subsided and we were able to get everyone settled. At 7am clock alarms began going off in the unoccupied rooms. But we couldn't figure out which rooms, so we couldn't stop it.

We too were a bit leary, especially when our mapquest directions dumped us off in a rather isolated, rundown area. Had we come from the Aquarium, the approach wouldn't have looked quite so shady. It is not in the thick of things, but still a nice close location. It was a pleasant surprise! The rooms were beautifully decorated. Beds and bedding were AMAZING and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Check in and out was, as another said, "a cinch", have NEVER had it so smooth coming and going at a hotel. Service. Not overly friendly (i. E "Welcome, enjoy your stay" or "Hope you enjoyed your stay". None of that) but neither rude. Due to lack of talk. Our stay felt very private. Not a lot of guests that Sat/Sunday before Christmas. Very quiet. Just what we wanted. Only complaint, the room a/c heat was very loud when the heat would kick on. Down bedding made heat not so necessary.
