Such a great place and welcoming. We came here as a last minute booking for part of a bucket list trip. Very clean rooms, extremely helpful, and understanding. Highly recommended. Gabby was so sweet and caring. She helped me through step by step with how to get around and answered so many questions for me along with some great advice. So awesome how she made a trip that much more special.

It is located in a great spot. Very close to awesome restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful. The rooms are extremely clean. They are modern and very spacious. The beds are so unbelievably comfortable. The amenities are great. The staff is wonderful. You won't be disappointed if you stay here. You will be very satisfied.

I absolutely loved the fact the room was perfect, the beds were plush, and the shower was to die for. I didn't want to get out the shower. Love the view and I will be back again.

The staff are really wonderful, they are so friendly and obliging, nothing is too much for their guests. There is a free shuttle bus service into the downtown right out front of the hotel. Beds are comfy and great breakfast. Concierge service is outstanding. Would certainly stay here again.

Great location downtown and right on Chattanooga’s free bus service route. Only a short ride to the Aquarium. Rooms very quiet. Convenient if you’re attending functions at convention center.

The hotel and room look nice, but I'm sweating in my room because our air conditioning isn't working. Also, I asked for two double beds (there are 3 people) and they gave me a king sized bed and a cot. This hotel is way too expensive for what you get!

We just stayed for one night on our way home from vacation. The room was nice. There was no information on check out or restaurants menus, which would have been helpful. The hotel was so cold with the air blasting in the elevator lobby. Ate on site and that was a huge mistake. One staffer, who was very nice, who disappeared. 3 other groups came in and had to go in the kitchen to find someone. Next morning, housekeeping walks in the room before 830 am while I was in the bathroom and my son was still sleeping. Front desk didn't seem to care. No answer as to why. The trainee at the front desk had no guidance and needs to learn word choice. Her comments were very demeaning and insulting. I would not recommend this place.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years. The rooms are recently remodeled and quite nice. The bedding was above average for hotels. It is on the Electric Shuttle route so easy to get to anywhere that takes you. The staff I encountered this time we're fantastic. As like other stays, I had the breakfast buffet and the food was great. The hotel is a convenient walk to two of my personal favorites — — the Pickle Barrel and City Cafe. I was attending a concert at the Walker Theater (upstairs of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium) and considered walking but the weather was iffy. All in all a hotel I have stayed at multiple times and am always happy to stay at.

You need to stay here. Stayed one night and ate in the hotel. Nice standard Marriott room. Hotel restaurant was very good and waitress was super friendly. When we got a flat tire the day we left, everyone in the hotel found a way to help us. From the managers standing outside, calling their head valet (Brook) to come on his day off, we couldn’t believe the service. Highly recommend. (Also nice location with shuttle to downtown right from hotel).

We had an excellent experience here. The hotel was clean and attractive and our bed was incredible. In fact, the bedding and bed was so comfortable that we are looking into buying one of the Marriott mattresses that the hotel uses. The bathroom was beautifully appointed and the shower had plenty of hot water and excellent water pressure. The shower head was really pretty terrific and I'd like to get one of those electric mirrors for home as well. I thought that perhaps the hotel was slightly closer to the aquarium, but regardless of that we were very happy with our stay, especially once we discovered the free electric shuttle buses that take you all over downtown. The food on site was quite good and all of the employees were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was that I believed the pool to be closed because there was no mention of it on the website and a previous review two weeks before our visit said that it was closed, but it was actually open. However, since I thought it was not, I didn't bring a swimsuit and was not able to take advantage of it, which was disappointing. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a conveniently located and VERY comfortable room.

This hotel is a treat! The amenities are numerous. The staff is amazing. Even the bath products and bedding provided are luxurious. And the location is spot on to enjoy the entertainment that brought us into Chattanooga for the weekend. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Very nice hotel. Exceptional front desk workers, custodians, and house keepers. Everyone was pleasant, well posed. Bradley is an awesome front desk person. However; this was the worst place we have stayed concerning check in and check out as a group. District sent check for payment. Check was not applied. Front desk tried charging credit cards and debit cards of the group. Group Director thought she had problems solved at her check in, but when checking out we found out that rooms were placed on room Incident card and the parking we thought was validated… Was charged. What a mess. You would think all personnel would be trained In How to handle large group payments. Also. Room 828 shower did not train accordingly. Flooded floor. Hopefully all issues will be fixed quickly.

M today and asked for the maintenance person to come while we were out. Returned to our room at 6:00 PM with it being two degrees hotter than when we left. Notified the front staff again. Said they would send someone up… Upon reading the most recent reviews on the hotel website, this has been an ongoing problem for nearly a week for several guests. In addition to the room temperature, the indoor swimming pool has temperatures that will make your teeth chatter. Supposedly that's from the heat pump taking longer than expected. My guess is that it is broken. Shame. I can say that the maintenance guys were very nice when they arrived. Waiting 30 minutes to see if the room cools down any since maintenance left. Fingers crossed but I won't be holding my breath. Update: Air was not fixed. After calling one additional time, we ended up have two box fans delivered to our room. Upon check out the next morning, there were no luggage carts available. When inquiring, was told that no carts had been seen for hours. Was issued partial credit for the inconvenience we experienced.

We are loving our stay! Front desk staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. We also ate in the hotel Restaurant and it was delicious with wonderful staff, The only down side is that the indoor pool is closed for maintenance. And I have 3 kids with me that would of loved to go. Still a very pleasant, clean place to stay.

Booked a king bed online and after check-in, we noted the room is two double beds for my husband and I. Still unsure how that’s possible they would book it as king and somehow it gets switched to a double without ever notifying us… We asked if there was ability to switch in which we were told there was not. We are so tired and just decided to stay anyway. Inside the room we noticed it’s a conjoining room in which we can hear literally every single word of the loud guests next to us… I have never experienced anything like it… 100% clear like they are standing in the room. If there had been another hotel nearby with availability we would have left. Never will plan a stay here again.

Nice hotel. In mid renovation and it has caused no inconvenience. Room is clean and good sized. Very centrally located to walking Chattanooga. Only issue we've had is air conditioner not cool enough. Food really good too.

We really enjoyed our visit. The accommodations were wonderful and the view was AMAZING. Great location too. They did overbook king size beds, but were able to upgrade us to a presidential room (which I think means we got the great view). The reason I'm giving 4 stars is the room we were attached to had very thin walls. We could hear the couple next door talking, although it wasn't so bad that we could understand what they were saying. Still, we would have liked more privacy. We also got a complementary breakfast which was pretty great.

During my visit to a conference, the meeting rooms were pristine, though very cold. Staff responded quickly and provided excellent service. Catering was delicious!

Not the best location if you are wanting to walk to waterfront but excellent for convention center and even Lookout Mountain. There is a free city bus that will take you if you want to get around that way. Bathroom redone and the shower is great. Air conditioning wasn't working but I'm sure they wouldve moved me if I'd asked. Room was small but clean.

Booked online aquarium package. Arrived to find renovations with no indoor pool access nor spa. We're told indefinitely closed. Sent to wrong room accommodations. Not impressed at all with the amount of money spent for 1 night. Love Marriott and have stayed at many. This one has not impressed at all. Came in t. V had no signal went to aquarium and to eat came back at 10p. It still wasn't back on. Finally at 1130p came back on. Had a note also under door that due to remodel water would be turned off at 11am in morning and back on at 5p.

So bummed. We wanted to spend a couple days not too far from home for Spring Break so we ventured up to Chattanooga. We sprang for the Marriott because we get points and it said it had 2 pools! The kids were so excited! Right up until we arrived and all amenities are closed! No notice of any kind on line. Their only suggestion when I voiced how pissed I was, was to take the public shuttle to Courtyard Marriott 2 miles away. They would “let” us swim there. I also firmly believe that if your property is undergoing ANY kind of renovation you should warn people before reserving and charging them. We let the kids stay up late and we’re woken at 7am by pounding and hammering directly above us. I nearly lost it. So disappointed. Should have stayed at the Westin for $10 bucks more.

Waitresses touch all the doors at 8.00 am just to annoy you.

Food was fantastic. Valets were super nice. Was there for a meeting and the setting could not have been better.

Came here for a wedding that was held at the adjacent convention center. Location of the hotel is convenient to the downtown area, Starbucks in the lobby. The rooms are your standard Marriott style rooms, they are the newer renovated style so everything looks good inside. The convention center is connected by an indoor walkway so it's great if you are attending an event there.

The room was good with a comfortable bed and bedding and plenty of room. The brunch was tasty and the bar had reasonably priced drinks and food. Staff was super friendly! The only drawback was there was construction going on in the hotel. Saying it was loud was an understatement. I had to talk very loud just to be heard. Once this is completed, I am sure it will be an oasis in the city, but until then, I will look for another place to stay.

Location is ok, directly off the highway. Concierge service for gold and platinum members is excellent, great buffet breakfast for working travelers on the go and the evening service is a welcomed treat. I give a 1 star review solely because of the rooms, they are terrible. Really worn down and old, the hotel should have been renovated 10 years ago. Bathroom is so small, the door barely clears the toilet. Shower is dark and small, water temperature is variable and doesn't stay on a consistent temperature. Water flow in the toilet is by far the slowest I've seen in a hotel. Mattresses and pillows are very mushy and the room has a weird smell when the air or heat is turned off. Hotel is going through renovations right now so hopefully these things will be addressed.

We went for a few days to get away after Christmas. They did let us check in a couple of hours early and we had a great room. Service was friendly. We had no hot water the first night and next morning so we told them we would have to find somewhere else to stay. They called Residence Inn across the street and booked us a room that was ready immediately. Just couldn’t believe a hotel would not have hot water for 2 days!

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Water temp fluctuated from hot/no cold to cold/no hot — bad when you're trying to shower. Best part of breakfast — the omelettes! Coffee in the hot water dispenser (I was making tea). Queen beds a little small, more like doubles.

Location is the best attribute of this hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is an onsite coffee shop and parking. The parking fee is reasonable and they let me stay in the parking deck all day while I worked nearby. They even accommodated my late check out request.

I called the hotel the morning of my arrival and requested a top floor room at the end of the hall and she assured me I was all set. Upon checking in they did not place me on the top floor so I repeated my original request. She did put me on the top floor but two doors from the Concierge lounge and I can hear expressway traffic. I travel a TON for work and sleep very light. I am very loyal to Marriott but my last several stays have been disappointing with Marriott. I went above and beyond to nicely request what I needed and they still screwed it up. Where is the customer service and listening to the guest in this scenario? In addition, rooms are outdated and the price is high for what you get.

The Chattanooga Marriott is located downtown near many of the cities main attractions and trendy restaurants. That makes it great if you choose to save on parking and get out and walk. Their staff was both professional and attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was the mushyness of the bed pillows. That said, it was a restful and stress free stay and I highly recommend it.

Good overall experience. The room was great and the front desk/valets were all very helpful. Only critique is the elevators as they are very slow and would make unrequested stops of sorts almost every trip. Would recommend this hotel overall though.

Location was right downtown with a bike share rack right outside making it easy to get downtown without a car. The staff were all very friendly and any questions asked were met with a smile and sincere answer. First day I was there every employee I passed asked me how I was or if I needed anything. Breakfast buffet on the second floor cost 15 dollars which felt a little pricey for what was offered but that was the only downside.

Definitely the worst Marriott I've stayed at thus far. No microwave or refrigerator in the room. And they give a big runaround when you request to have a microwave brought up. And their "community" microwave on the third floor isn't cleaned often. If you need the shuttle to take you someplace, they may or may not accommodate; they want you to call when you're ready to "find out" if they can service you. Their attitudes seem anti-customer. Fancy building worth multiple millions of dollars, but they can't seem to accommodate the little things to paying customers. I hope I never stay here again. :-/

I'm a taxi driver. I do a lot of airport to hotel shuttle services. Is a great Hotel. I'm full service. They do have a Starbucks. We have a very clean Lobby. Restrooms are always very well-maintained. Excellent valet service. Whenever I have family in town, this is where I recommend them to stay. Fast friendly service in valet. My smiling faces at the front desk. And great amenities.

It was a nice stay. Very clean and comfortable and conveniently located. I was able to walk to a spot nearby for dinner. I will likely try to stay here again, on my next visit. I would have given 5 stars, but there were a couple things I did not like. The biggest lamp in my room didn't have a light bulb in it, so it was very dark in there. The lemon verbena air freshener they use in the lobby is very overpowering. It's a pleasant fragrance, but it's too strong.

Nice hotel, very clean and comfy. I kind of expected more out of a "deluxe suite, " as the bathroom was tiny and the room was rather small. The "view" was a bit overrated, being mostly of other rooftops with some mountains in the background. Outdoor pool was nice and the bar/restaurant was pretty good.

Good hotel. Comfortable beds, clean. Bit disappointed that the website says there is a fridge and microwave in the room; neither are in the room. I'm sure they could be made available to us, and it's a soldout weekend I'm pretty sure, with the eclipse and all. But it would be good to change the website to say available upon request or something if there's not one in every room. Also the breakfast time needs to be made clearer: service stops at 9:00am apparently but the lounge stays open until 10:00am. That makes perfect sense, it just needs to be made clearer to guests, heard many others remark about this after coming up to breakfast at around 9:30. Overall a good stay. Can't comment on if it's worth the price as we paid with rewards points. But it's an average hotel I'd say.

This is an incredibly beautiful hotel with gorgeous artwork. I requested a higher floor and they gave us the top floor. The view was incredible! The only downside was the air wasn't as cool coming from the A/C as my husband would like. Every staff member we encountered was fabulous. They really know how to have good customer service!

Great location, free shuttle bus outside the door. Great friendly staff, the were running low of moon pies they give to guest, no strawberry, and Brook went to store and bought some for our daughter and a T-shirt too! Love the heated indoor pool. We always stay here when visiting Chattanooga.

My family stayed here for a family reunion trip. Overall the hotel is very nice. Great view of the mountains from our hotel window. The outdoor pool is on a roof and is very nice not to mention there is an indoor pool as well. The gym is nice as well with free weights, elliptical machines, treadmills, bikes and a cable machine. Lastly, the service was great from the bell boys to the desk staff. We also had breakfast every day at the hotel restaurant and it was very hoops. Our family also had a banquet in one of the banquet rooms and the food was delicious there as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was a little dated but still nice.

Nice clean room. The bathroom was a bit small. No bugs or stains. Room service served an excellent breakfast. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Great location with a nice view. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. I stayed for a conference at the attached convention center, and it was a little confusing figuring out how to get to the center (but not too bad). Conviently located near many fantastic restaurants, plus the in-room dining is excellent if you don't want to venture out. Would be nice to have a mini-fridge in the room for leftovers! Next time I'll check out the pool — it looks pretty nice. Overall great experience!

I stayed at the Marriott for the conference WIN. It is conveniently located next to the Conference Center. The service was great and I enjoyed my time there.

Comfy room, and great food service — — an unusually creative dinner menu, plus a terrific brunch! The fresh berries in January were a delicious surprise. And the oatmeal bar was awesome — — so many great toppings. Give 'em a try!

My towels were a bit dirty. My bed was comfortable. The frigador was very old. My wife found a hair in her bed.

Burn services but there is lack of acomodidades. No refrigerator or microwave.

I was kind of leary when I found out our price line hotel was this one. The reviews were very hit or miss. When we got here though, the staff unbelievably nice and accomodating. Rooms and hallways were spotless. Just a 10 minute walk to restaurants. This place is unbelievably good. Highly recommended.

The media center plugin panel did not work properly and the TV wasnt all that great for the price of the room. The bathroom had a few issues namely the toilet seat being super loose and felt like it was falling apart. Overall the location was nice and convenient as city buses regularly stop to pick up right outside to carry you to the downtown area, and the hotel has a (paid) parking garage to leave your car in a more protected area.

The rooms a great, but one of the maids had an attitude when we wanted to swap out our comforter and sheets. The Starbucks inside didn't have a nice lady either. The hotel is underconstuction between it and the convention center so it's a little more challenging than usual. But I've been here before and it was satisfying, the bed are supper comfortable and the service is usually good.

Top notch service. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom are very clean and sanitary. Being located downtown puts this hotel within walking distance of much of the attractions in Chattanooga.

The service was great, but the room wouldnt cool down, it wouldnt go under 70. There also wasnt a fridge in our room.

Beautiful hotel. Nice views of the city and Lookout Mountain. The free Chattanooga electric shuttle makes it easy to see the sights. The in room dining was fast, convenient, and delicious.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The pricing is Great. The staff is courteous, welcoming, informative, efficient and made my 3 year old granddaughter feel comfortable. Any issues I have had were minor and were promptly resolved beyond my expectations. The beds are Comfortable! The indoor pool is Heated and the pool bathroom has a shower! The restaurant food is excellent and priced reasonably. And the restaurant staff go out of their way to make certain the dining experience is beyond acceptable, especially Megan and the Kitchen Staff! Downside… No Jacuzzi, or Sauna. Don't order room service unless you are prepared to pay 18% service fee Plus a gratuity! Also, Note… Microwaves and Refrigerators are provided free of charge but Only Upon Request; they aren't automatically in the rooms.

This hotel is only good if you have to attend something at the conference center. Bathroom was tiny! Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms, and hallways, including the staff having rather loud conversations. To charge as much as they do for a nightly rate, their amenities are atrocious. I was charged more for parking here than I have paid at resorts I have stayed at. High fees for Wi-Fi, when every hotel I have ever stayed at has offered free Wi-Fi. Spent all day without towels; Housekeeping took my dirty towels around 10am, at 4pm still no towels. I called and was told they would be right on it, at 7pm STILL NO TOWELS. Called again and was told the same thing, 20 minutes later I received towels. The only saving grace for this hotel was a comfortable bed and it was clean. Overall not a great experience, would not stay here again.

We went to the Marriot for our Christmas party. The service was great as well as the venue, unfortunately the food left much to be desired. Nothing from out options stood out, it. Lacked flavor all around.

We went for a Christmas party and the space was great. It spacious and very well suited for all the guests. The bar was well stocked, however it's was a little pricey. The food provided was however the only part that was not up to standard. Overall I give it a 3.5 out of five.

It had a bed. Things that are a joke? No free Wi-Fi would rate up there near the top plus paid parking. It's kind of outdated. No high definition Tv although it has a lower end LG model capable of it. It's no Embassy, that's for sure.

Disappointed in the overall experience. The room was nice; however, there was not a refrigerator or microwave in the room. Parking too was an additional charge. Most hotels have, at least, a continental breakfast. This would again be an additional charge. For this hotel line and reputation, I expected a few more complimentary perks. I have checked other hotels in the area and found several in the close vicinity that include more complimentary items. I will not be staying here again!

The Staff! — Front Desk, Wait Staff (in restaurant and lounge), Valet and all through out the hotel were sooo nice. We planned a last minute anniversary get away and didn't expect much, But Jennifer and her front desk team made it really special. Our room was nice, big and bright on the 10th floor with a very nice view. We actually planned to stay elsewhere, but my husband now says we will definately be back. We have been telling everybody, how we were made to feel like VIP. Thanks for a great weekend.

43 dollars extra! I booked this hotel thru priceline. On top of the room booking The hotel charged 25 deposit for incidentals. Then an addtional 10 for parking. 8 more for. Leaving parking. They said the 25 was used in room service however The bank statement shows they charged the $19 from room service was charged separate? I tired to get priceline to help. Didn't happen. I leftessage at hotel. No call back. Never again.

The Marriott had a fairly nice stay! The only reason why I gave it a four star review is because the shower lining was pretty cheap which made showering kind of awkward because I was worried the shower lining would drape weird as the water hit it. Another slight problem that we experienced within our room was the shower drain. It seemed to have been sort of clogged and no one bothered to clean it, though the shower itself was clean. A bummer about our hotel room (a single king sized bedroom) was that the hotel did not have a microwave or small refrigerator. I was surprised that a hotel such as this could not provide something as simple as those two items. Everything else was great along with the staff.

Staff is great, but be aware that rooms with two beds have two unusually small mattresses that comfortably accommodate only one adult each. If you're staying as a family you'll need two rooms.

I have been extremely pleased by the service I have received from Angie Symington. The hotel is clean and professionally run. The location is great for downtown visits. She and the staff at the hotel are great.

Provided us with every amenity requested and an honest answer to every question we asked (and we asked a lot). If the whole hotel experience were only rated from its people, they would definitely receive 5 stars! But unfortunately the actual accommodations were only average. Given. This is based on my own personal opinion of what a $200 per night room "should" be. Bathroom was tiny. The door would actually hit the toilet when opening/closing. I'd call it more of a size of a bathroom stall than a real bathroom. And the shower head could have doubled as a pressure washer! Lol. Even at the lowest setting, there were places I made sure the water stream did not hit on me! The TV was small, old, slow, and 3/4 of the channels were fuzzy. No mini fridge. No microwave. Oh and Wi-Fi is NOT included in the $200 + $30 taxes per night charges which is just crazy to me! BUT. The hotel location was perfect. It was super close to every activity and restaurant that we wanted to go to. The city and the hotel staff made our weekend adventure such a wonderful, memorable experience but the room was just "meh".

The place was okay and worth the rate we found on Priceline; plus it is on the public shuttle route. The front desk staff was great, and I interacted with them a lot since I think I lost my wedding ring in a common area of the hotel. The Housekeeping staff however will not return multiple phone calls. I checked with the other businesses I visited that day just in case since I'm desperate, which included the Chattanooga Choo Choo, 212 Market Restaurant, Brewhause Restaurant, and the public shuttle. All were very nice and tried to help. Naturally the last place that I remember seeing it can't be bothered.

Nice rooms, but I have two major problems. 1. The TV was blocked from using AUX HDMI. So I had to watch boring programing. 2. Breakfast is $14.00+tax+TIP if you read this, please go to the DAYS INN across the street.

It is too bad that there can not be more that 5 stars. The staff was great. Everyone from Carol, the lady I booked with, to the last valet attendant my wife and I were treated like we owned the place. The room was spacious and the bed was one that you did not even want to get out of. Even the shower had great pressure and that is unusual for most any hotel! Thank you Marriott Downtown and your awesome staff for a great weekend.

After searching several hotels in the Chattanooga area, the Marriott was the best price and a great location. The room was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

By the photos this place looks a lot nicer. The place is nice and all to come back to from your adventures and just relax. The place doesn't have a bad smell to it like other hotels. The guest services are really respectful to you and other guest. Only thing I have a problem with is why they took out the hot tub? On the elevator it shows they still have on and I was so excited to just go in and relax from the day but then went down to the pool area and it was gone. This place has been worn in a little as you can see on some door handles and things such as that.

This hotel has been wonderful. It was busy with multiple groups staying at the hotel. It was just my husband, myself and grandson. They treated us as if we were special guests. Nice attractive clean comfortable room and located close to everything. For the first time ever, the hotel manager emailed me prior to our stay with restaurant and attractions suggestions! What a great idea. Every hotel should do this. I felt welcomed before I even stepped on the property :).
