Very clean and great view. Friendly staff. Unfortunately did not get to use the fire pits on the roof the indoor pool or have the breakfast because of covid-19

I can smell weed everywhere. I understand that smoking weed is legal in DC but the hotel claims that it is 100% smoking free hotel.

THIEVES! I left one of my belongings in the room and called immediately after my friends and I checked out ensuring the item was left in the room. When I called the front desk staff (OJ) stated the housekeeping supervisor (Raquel T) left for the day and to call back the next day. I had to call many times to request the housekeeping staff retrieve my left item and mail it to me. I was giving the run around for two days straight only to finally receive a call stating the item wasn’t found. (i know for a fact the item was left there) please, if you can book another hotel, do so! this was just one of many problems we encountered during our stay here! please make sure you don’t leave any important belongings if you stay because they steal!

I booked a room for 4 nights. As soon as we checked in we had people hopping the elevator that didn't belong so the security was poor at very best. There are crackheads living in the storefronts and all around front entrance and constantly bothering guests as they come and go and smoking their crack pipe right in front of you. I felt VERY uncomfortable and moved to a different hotel the next morning.

The night clerk we had he was awesome very friendly and very nice and helpful and the people around it was just awesome so friendly.

My daughter was discriminated against on March 11, 2020 and denied a room due to no other reason but the color of her skin. Although she just stayed at the hotel the weekend before, she was told by Cambria’s staff she could not afford the hotel and denied entry. A formal complaint has been made via telephone and a written complaint has been sent via email. I am asking Cambria to stop their racist policies. If you are a person of color do not frequent this business. We deserve better as a people and my family and I will never return back to any Cambria Hotels.

Seems good to me have a good night sleep, comfortable bed just alright for a reasonable prize.

Absolutely beautiful modern hotel! Our room was nice and clean. The indoor pool was also really nice. The roof top lounge area added such a great touch. This hotel was perfect for my family while we visited Washington, D. C.! Giants Food market is conveniently located right next door!

Great hotel. We enjoyed our one night stay. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. The pull out sofa didn't work, but our child fit easily on the couch. The pool was nice (but cold! ). The breakfast buffet was overpriced and should probably be complimentary. Great location.

This a really nice hotel. A little bit further away from the main attractions is probably why it is a lot more affordable. But it is designed in a contemporary way and the rooms are really spacious. Facilities are good and the roof top is a nice touch if you get to use it. We didn’t have breakfast as it was a bit expensive ($18) in my view and we could go to a local cafe for that type of price. In any case this is a great place to stay and recommended.

Stayed at this hotel with my sister for a weekend visit. This was my first time ever hearing about or staying at a hotel affiliated with the Cambria name. Neither my sister nor I had any complaints. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was walking distance to a lot of the tourist sites as well as transportation. Each night we were there they seem to have a event downstairs at the bar but we never had the time to attend. Also, we observed that almost daily the staff set out snacks or drinks for customers. The hotel also had a parking garage, pool and gym but we also never used these amenities either. I am not sure about the pricing because my sister booked our stay but I enjoyed my time at this hotel. When I visit the Washington, DC area again I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again.

We had a great time in washington (7/5-7/6 2018) and the hotel made it even better. Nice rooms friendly staff fair price… the 2 reason I don't a give 5 stars is because the price of the parking lot and the food was little over price… but is washington I could understand. Over all great place to stay…

Had a great stay at the Cambria last night. Ashley at the front desk was awesome, very personable, and helpful! The hotel room was large and comfortable. The pool was a little small and hotel food was a bit over priced, but the view for fireworks was the best and it was a short trip to the national mall. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to DC.

Love the ppl that work there! They are all amazing BUT the Rooms were just nasty! This is a new hotel so the blankets & sheets should not be stained and beyond nasty! They shouldn't even be put on a bed. Housekeeping didn't clean the room once. They made the bed and left 1 new coffee but didn't clean anything. That was the only bad part being there for a week & paying close to 4K to do so. Everyone else was AWESOME! They were the most helpful & FRIENDLIEST STAFF I've ever met in a full service hotel. Just wish their "continental breakfast" didnt cost $16 a person. This is the only time I've ever stayed somewhere that you couldn't get a free light breakfast. I was bummed about that and ended up not eating there before I headed to work a 12hr day. I will miss the people who made the stay bearable. Friendly 100% of the time but beware of housekeeping not doing anything. They even walked in the room without knocking. Keep your door 100% locked and latched at all times!

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… We came to visit DC with family for a graduation and stayed at the Cambria. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff helpful and the rooftop pool was our favorite. I also frequented the gym for running and I didn't find it lacking. The price was a little higher than we wanted but it was worth it being in downtown DC where we could walk anywhere.

Great staff! Very friendly and always happy to see you return at the end of a long day. They get to know you just enough to make you feel like you are coming home after a long hard day at work.

It's a nice hotel, I wouldn't call it upscale. The front desk was not aware of how to process Choice gift cards, and initially wouldn't accept them. There was a lot of back and forth before they figured out what to do. The long delay to check-in set the wrong tone for our stay. The location wasn't as close to the museums as I initially thought. There also were few restaurants within walking distance. UPDATE: A month later, we discover that they charged our credit card for the entire stay. I called the General Manager and had to leave a message. He doesn't call me back, so I call again the next day and he's in a meeting. So I ask for the owner's number; I'm told it's Concord Hospitality and given a number. I explain the situation; they call the hotel. First I'm told the money was refunded back to the gift cards (which are in Cambria's possession, not mine). After complaining that I bought the cards to use at the hotel and the hotel had the cards, I was put on hold again. The person comes back and says the credit card was charged because the gift cards were no good. NONSENSE, we purchased the cards on 4/15/18 and didn't stay at any other hotel before going to Cambria. They've had the cards since 5/27/18, now they want to send the used cards back to me? The person from Concord finally lets it slip that Concord isn't the hotel owner, when that's what I was led to believe by Cambria guest relation.

Hotel was a 3 star hotel. That's what I expected coming into it though. Picked it for the rooftop lounge but it was raining and didn't get to utilize it. View from the room was a construction site but they can't help that. Overall good experience.

This hotel was awesome! The only negative that I can share is that it's $45 a day to park. Other than that it was great. Close to a lot of things.

I was not an overnight guest and spent my time in a conference room the entire day. That being said, the conference room was extremely nice,. We were served for, which was really good. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful. I really enjoyed my time there.

Excellent hotel. Suite sized rooms are clean, large and perfectly situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Would easily be 5 stars except the food is dreadful. Definitely a good choice for a stay — just eat elsewhere.

Pros: We stayed in a suite, which had a great layout for our 3-person family. Fridge in room is nice for long stay. Location is next to grocery store and Union Market (go here for breakfast! ). Metro is short walk down street. Roof patio is nice. Staff is friendly. Cons: Parking is expensive: $45 valet, $30 for retail parking. Pool is salt water and cold. Breakfast in lobby is disappointing. Bit of a walk to get downtown.

Nice, clear rooms. For longer stay, missing storage. Coat hangers would be great. Pool is very cold. Consider retail parking instead of valet for $15 per day saving.

Good location. Silent. Our room is very spacious, with coffee and coffee to prepare daily.

The service was good. Staffs were friendly and helpful. We love hanging out by the pool on the rooftop. The roof top have tables and lounges where you can chill and enjoy the view of the city. Did I mention the rooftop fire pit? I could sit there for hours just chilling. The price was very reasonable for the location.

Very nice place would start again. Not as polished as some places but far exceeds expectations for price. No Bellman to help with bags which was fine by me. Had plenty of carts. Linens were a little scarce but we were 6 with the kids. So good place.

Room was vast and impressive, clean and really nice. The only issue was that the only parking is valet for $40 that kinda sucked but was able to find parking around the place so it all worked out. Still 5 stars tho great stay.

It was a nice apartment especially for the price. Split between 5 people each person paid $72 for 3 nights. Valet parking is $45/night. Expensive Room came with a TV in between the two main beds and another TV with the couch. Nice set up. Good service.

I stayed here for a long weekend work related trip. I had to share my room, and consequently, use the pull out couch bed. It was incredibly comfortable for a pull out. I slept very well, the rooms were excellent and clean. The decor was very modern and plesant. Overall a wonderful experience, I would come back.

The Cambria Hotel Convention Center is an excellent choice if you're looking for a clean, comfortable and reasonably-priced hotel. This newer hotel is conveniently located near a grocery store, coffee shop and a metro station. The views of DC are also spectacular in select rooms (I've stayed here on a couple of occasions). There is also a nice restaurant/bar on the main level. Will definitely return in the near future!

I'm quite disgusted with the level of customer service when it came to addressing the issue of several guys standing in the hallway 4:00 am in the morning. I called down to the office several times and to no avail. When I checked in the hotel, the service was superb but once the shift changed so did the level of service. But I will strongly encourage my fraternity and anyone else I know traveling to the great city of D. C to stay somewhere else.

While the facility was fine, I left a necklace, over a foot long that was my fathers. I called the same day I checked out to be told I had to wait until after the weekend. I did. Called first thing Monday morning to be informed by housekeeping they did not have it and probably threw it away. It cannot be replaced. I am left devastated. It was something they could have easily held on to for 24 hours but rather chose not to. While it isn't their fault it was left, it would have been nice to be able to retrieve it again. Unfortunately, it would from a great experience to ruining my trip and what good is left to say or recommend?

First time at this hotel, but this hotel was better than any hotel I stayed at by far. Very accommodating. Room was very clean, no stains on carpet or bed or couch. The room was fresh and clean every day. No musty smell. No mold in bathroom, everything was modern and the view was beautiful. I would stay here again. Hotel was clean from the entrance to the top floor.

We really had a great time. The rooms are comfortable and huge. I highly recommend it. My kids had great time at the indoor pool. Let me tell you the view from the roof top terrace is astonishing. You can see practically the hole city. Plus they offered us a very affordable price. I really like to stay here again!

The hotel mismanaged every step of my stay. My group spent over a thousand dollars at the hotel, and this is how we were treated: there were no spaces to check in to the hotel because cars were parked in the only 2 spaces the hotel made available for guests. We had to park in paid parking in the garage under the hotel which the hotel did not comp. The bathroom door in the room was the wrong size, and scraped against the floor, making it nearly impossible to push open for our handicapped room mates. It causes an injury that half a week later is still painful. When we went to the front desk to report it, they didn't see to the injury for a half hour. And we were shushed when we got up to ask how much longer it would take. They finally agreed to give us a comped breakfast, and that breakfast was terrible. The eggs were rubbery, the pancakes were hard. It was normally a 16 dollar meal, and not worth a quarter of that. When we went to check out, I was less than a block away, and a room mate was holding the space for us, and he'd already informed the valet what we were doing. I'm disabled and was less than a block away. When another family pulled into the space, the valet informed him that "it's DC, that's how it is. You coild park in the street" which is ILLEGAL, and we were told by the police earlier not to do so. That aside, the staff was obviously not informed that a huge convention was in town. The management didn't prepare any of their employees for us.

This hotel is modern and swanky, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. The rooms are gorgeous, beds comfortable, and everything is extremely clean. I'm deducting one star for a few minor reasons. The rooftop lounge closes too early for my taste (11pm), one light was burnt out in our room, and there were mosquitos in the lower level lobby?! Weird but true. All insignificant issues, I would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended even without experiencing the salt water pool and tasty sounding food.

Family trip with the grandchildren to Washington, D. C. The 5 of us spent three nights at the Cambria Hotels & Suites. We all had a wonderful time. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and professional, especially the front/lobby personnel (Erika, Ashley and Saleem). We all very much enjoyed their genuine hospitality in particular. The room/suite was very spacious and very clean. The Housekeeping Dept. Does an amazing job and when you need extra towels, soap, etc. They deliver the items immediately. Everything about the Cambria is outstanding. Location is pretty good and close (20 minutes or so) to the museums, the National Archives, etc. We highly recommend the Cambria and will definitely stay there the next time we're in Washington, D. C.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is very friendly. They came right up when we needed help and fixed the drain on our tub right away. It is about a thirty minute walk to the Mall and Museums in downtown DC. There is a Starbucks next door and a grocery store very close by.

We had a quick stay. Easy check in. Room was pretty clean, bed was not very comfortable, but the sheets and bedding were soft and warm. All the staff we encountered we're friendly and kind. The rooftop outdoor seating was really neat. Wish we had the time to sit up there for longer.

I had booked this hotel for two nights. My husband and I arrived after 11pm to check in after a six hour drive. When we got to our room, there was someone already asleep in the bed. The front desk told us there were no other rooms available and they would have to find us somewhere else to stay. We had reserved a king bed and, originally, they tried to put us in a double bed. Ultimately, they sent us to the Grand Hyatt Hotel for a king room, only a few minutes away. We returned to the Cambria the next morning to check in for our second night and were able to check in early. They paid for our first night at the Grand Hyatt and took care of our valet parking both nights. Zach was very apologetic about the situation and even gave us a bottle of wine when we left. What started out as a crappy situation turned out to be not so bad. Thank you, Cambria, for taking care of the error. We would definitely stay here again, despite the mixup.

Very unique. Trend setting type of hotel. Seems like whoever designed it wants to go the extra mile to impress. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Food may be expensive but there is a Giants grocery store right down the street within walking distance.

The location was super convenient in relation to the major monuments, all walkable if you don't mind a trek. We had a nice little living room space and two TVs. The products in the bathroom were high quality: nice blow dryer, and Bed Bath & Beyond for the toiletries. The shower was spacious. We even got a free drink token for the hotel bar!

Stayed a night on a business trip. The room I stayed in was somewhat small but of nice quality. I don't need a lot of room so it didn't bother me. The staff were all courteous and friendly.

This hotel is nice but the staff are liars. They lure you on by tell you that u can have parties. They are really friendly to get you in them after they take your money they turn on you. They cater to the wrong type of people and they are really rude. They put me and my guest out after lying and saying we ciuld have a party and did not give me my money back. We showed nothing but respect and they were really nasty to us after hearing a complaint from one person about laughing and talking loud which was not being done after the first time. The person next to us was very mean and disrespectful and so was the staff after they joked themselves about coming to the party that we weren't supposed to so called have. They ruined my sister's birthday. Don't go to this lying hotel!

Located close to tons of restaurants events, shops and more. No need to take your car out of the valet or self parked parking garage! We relaxed in the pool after a delicious dinner and a day at the convention center. Their King size bed was the best to end my day!

Fantastic, secure rooms and customer service. Location was perfect — pharmacy, groceries, bike rental were all next door. Beautiful view from the Penthouse deck with outdoor bar for all residents to access. Highly recommended!

The hotel is amazing! They're very nice and clean and modern. One of the best hotels for pricing I've been to. However, I can't say the service is that well. The hotel staff in the dining hall didn't give the correct knowledge to us over the phone about the prices for breakfast and parking. Breakfast cost was about 16 dollars per person and the parking is 45 a day which we were not given the knowledge of untill we came. The staff also seemed very rude and very unwelcoming.

Hotel and room was fine. The roof turns into a night club at night, which is fine just not at all family friendly. My niece wanted to watch the sunset from the roof but we were allowed to be u ok there past 8pm.

The room we booked was not the room we got. We were told there are no garentee bookings and we would have to take whatever room they gave us. Staff was not attentive. Room was small.

Stayed 2 nights. The staff was all very nice and accomodating. The room was very clean, near and modern. Finally a shower made for y'all people. We didn't have a single complaint. Highly recommend utilizing the valet parking. Very quick and very much worth the money.

I travel up and down the east coast and decided to stay at this hotel based on the reviews. When I booked a room over the phone I was provided a decent rate. When I reached the hotel, I was advised the rate had changed. Later that evening I checked my account and to my surprise I was charged an even higher rate. When I inquired about the charged, a manager advised that they add a "fee" until I check out and then I will be refunded. So to make the stay even more uncomfortable, After using the bathroom from being on the road for 6 hours, I lit some matches to rid the smell, I was constantly harassed by an employee about how the extremely sensitive smoke detectors are alerting them downstairs that there is smoke in my room. So after stepping out for dinner, Upon our return, once again we were approached about the smoke sensor still going off in our room, even after 4 hours. I was then warned I would be charged a $300 fee because their sensors were obviously malfunctioning. Now at this point I thought things couldn't get any worst, but it did. At one point I was stuffed in an elevator with several men that were just about naked with only wearing see thru shorts and little pink hearts which was completely inappropriate for a family hotel. We decided to head up to the deck to take some scenic night pictures of the city, seeing a notice on the door, we asked security for permission first and was granted permission to be on the deck.

Hotel had potential but the service was terrible. We declined housekeeping so needed new towels in the am for three people. They only gave us 2, despite asking for 3, and had the nerve to ask how many people were staying in our room. We paid over $400 for the room but hey, we might steal a towel. Ridiculous. Also, despite booking a room for 3 people, they gave us a king with a pull out sofa. What if we were strangers? But oh no, it'd cost us more to book a double Queen. The general attitude is that if a place pinching pennies. Which, for the cost of a high end hotel, I recommend you pass. Very irritating.

Just stayed there and it was the best experience at a hotel I have ever had. I felt like I was home. My suite was lavish and cleaned. The staff made sure to accommodate my every request. They were even knowledgeable about the area, as I have never stayed in d. C. The bartenders as well as the staff that served breakfast were also pleasant! I would love to stay at this hotel again! Also, when requesting uber, unless walking, they literally will take less than 2 minutes to pick you up and they will wait longer than the 2 mins suggested.

Hotel room is poorly designed as the default configuration makes it literally impossible to open the advertised pull out sofa. We were able to re arrange the room to compensate, so not the end of the world. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The room was gorgeous and so spacious. It was located in a perfect place. It was a 10 to 15 mins walk to Chinatown and 20 min walk to the White House. We paid $130 per night and it was cheap for a queen suite. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Comfortable, nicely furnished room. Really like the suite design for staying as a family. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and happy to help answer questions. Convenient two block walk to metro station and grocery store a block away as well.

We arrived on a Saturday. The front desk was very helpful in telling us about the area and things to do nearby. Their suggestions were perfect and definitely helped us out. We didn't eat at the hotel, but they seemed to have some nice amenities. The room had a modern style and a very comfy bed. We didn't spend much time in there but the mini fridge came in very handy and wasn't just filled with a bunch of markup items like other hotels. The metro station is only a few minutes away and it is just one stop to gallery station which has a great selection of restaurants. The area isn't as nice as right around the capital, but it is soooo much better than other areas of Washington. There is a Starbucks immediately next to the hotel, but also an amazing coffee shop called La Colombe a block away. I hope this hotel maintains it's standards because I'll be looking it up again next time we come to visit. If I did have to complain about something, there seems to be an issue with housekeeping. On one night they left us with no washcloths. The next night we were missing one towel. On the third day, they're supposed to change the sheets but the pillow we left on the couch wasn't even touched. I'm not sure if this is due to pressure from management or just poor work quality from the housekeeping staff. It didn't bother us enough to warrant a lost star, but it was a noticeable event.

While the hotel was very modern, the staff was rude and untimely. Our room was not clean (for example, make up on the phone from the last guest and to top it off the phone did not properly work). They do not have room service, even though they advertise as such. Housekeeping came to the room at 6pm, as we were heading to dinner. They handed us some towels and said have a great night and kept walking. The parking deck is actually shared with a grocery store and it costs 30 dollars to self Park. Not a good experience at all.

I have stayed here three times now. The first two times after they first opened were pleasant experiences. Now that they have been opened for a year or so, everything seems to be falling apart. The front desk staff seem clueless and are VERY slow. My room key stopped working every time I came home from work, super frustrating. The water pressure in my shower was embarrassing, the water was barely coming out and it took them 2 days to fix. Considering it cost me about $225/night, I will be spending that money at hotel where they make me feel special and actually give me some sort of service.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and modern. The service was great and the food was delicious (may be a little pricey for some's taste). We arrived in the evening and was greeted by Brad. Brad was friendly and helpful and always asked if there was anything he could do for you. I stayed at the hotel for 4 days, so I had the opportunity to really get a feel for how things ran. I'm not sure what Brad's salary is, but that man deserves a raise. So polite and cordial — hard at work every time I passed him, and always a welcoming hello and smile. I was very impressed with him. My husband has a small welding business and I know first hand that good employees are hard to find. Brad is a keeper — he represents the hotel well. Regarding the hotel itself, we did have to call for towels daily, however, we received them very promptly. I am disabled and had a roll in shower which was nice (no drop seat) — no place to put soap in shower — had to put soap on counter next to shower, however, the grab bars in the shower were very secure (important for people with disabilities). Bathroom floor had a slightly texted surface — great for preventing slippage. Wide counter space for sitting personal items and a phone by the toilet for emergencies. Trying to navigate the elevator for a person with physical disabilities could be a little challenging… you have to use your room card to activate the floor you are staying on.

The staff was so welcoming and extremely nice. The room and hotel area were very clean and well maintained. Excellent gym, pool, and roof top patio. Great location!

I had the worst experience trying to book my reservation. When called to reserve my room I asked to send a confirmation email that I never received. Called the following day to see why I did not receive the email I confirmed my email with spelling and was told yes that's what we have and that will send me the confirmation. Again never received it to make a long story short; I actually had to call 5 times before I could receive the email of course no they did not have the correct spelling as I confirmed 5 times. Once I received my confirmation email my reservation was wrong they had me arriving on July 23rd insted of the 24th leaving the 28th instead of the 27th. Call AGAIN very frustrated now spoke to a gentleman that was very nice after speaking to him I asked to be speak to a manger to go over my bas experience. I spoke to a rude manager zack that thought I wanted a free room or something. I just wanted him to know what a bad experience not only I had but most of the family/basketball team that reserve rooms they are getting paid alot of money we are reserving 10 room and not only did that happened they had someone else name under my reservation wrong choicepoint member#. BAD BUSINESS… ZACK nneds customer service training. If we had enough time we would have gone elsewhere.

I thought the room was nice, and the location was good. The front desk staff incorrectly told me that I could check out early and get a refund on my bill — and that was completely untrue. So. I paid $300 for a night at a hotel that I did not use. Needless to say, I don't think much of the hotel now and won't plan on going back. Be careful of the front desk.

Where to start? The place gets a star for its location, but otherwise it's a disaster. This place is like an Ikea decorated overpriced motel 6. The fixtures in my bath are nearly coming off the wall, the tub doesn't plug, the safe doesn't work — and on top of this the service is poor. They couldn't initially book my reservation right, and there's no room service. Sat at the bar in a less than half packed hotel restaurant only to be ignored for 10 minutes. Would NEVER recommend.

The hotel room was nice BUT the pool is full of Dirt and gross Build up on the floor. 2 Doctors at the hotel checked it out and said it was UNCLEAN and to stay out. The front desk has issues on getting things right and often pass the blame to others. The breakfast buffet was 15.99 each adult. Today had pancakes eggs and sausage and basic cereal. WAY OVER PRICED and the hotel is clean but lacks customer service. Expect loud parties on the weekend to keep you awake till 4 am and ALSO the corner rooms you can hear deliver trucks at 2 and 3 am. BY far over priced for this place. I have traveled around the world and this is by far the worst customer service EVER. We asked to have a late check out as I have a foot injury. We were told if we were not out by 1:01 pm we would be charged another half day. At 249 a night this place is a joke. Take your money somewhere you are treated like a guest and not just seen as $$$ OH and the toilet paper is pure HARD as tree BARK.

Amazing rooms, Amazing lobby and pool.

Room layout was great, bed comfortable, really liked the bathroom. Very thoughtful choice of materials, outstanding service despite having no good ideas of where to eat. Decent breakfast. Beautiful roof top patio, pool, and Gym area. Tip: Grab a cigar and a bottle of your favorite beverage from the shops south 9th st. And enjoy by the gas fire pit later in the evening. The entry did have a odd smell to it, probably just industrial cleaning materials, not a significant thing to worry about. Reasonably close to most places, but not high heel close.

Fantastic place. We loved the rooftop patio and pool. We also used the grocery next door to get breakfast items to keep in the fridge. It is brand new so it is clean and very neat. Would stay here the next time we are in town.

Great hotel. Very clean, modern rooms. Roof-top patio with a fireplace and beautiful view. Also excellent staff. I forgot my cell phone in the room, and they are shipping it back to me right now.
