We enjoyed our stay very much and are looking forward to going back. Spotless and charming. Breakfast was delicious too!

We stayed again for New Year's Eve. Had a great time and even met people who live in the same neighborhood as we do in Jersey. Fantastic place, hospitality is wonderful. Can't wait to go back!

First B&B experience and it was perfect. It felt like home, quite, private, very personable host and great food. I highly recommended it.

After eight bed and breakfast is the best bed and breakfast we have stayed at. We had a lot of fun. The owner Robert made us feel very welcome and even made me gluten free food. One day we had a spinach quiche and some pancakes and eggs. Then another day there was german apple pancake with eggs and bacon plus fresh fruit. Also there were beverages aplenty for the taking. The suite we stayed in was stunning. The after eight is super clean and they stay on top of everything, something I love to see. It is conveniently located between different attractions and restaurants, along with shopping. It was a perfect 4 day holiday away. Definitely highly recommended and would love to come and visit here again.

The absolute best Bed and Breakfast in the Lancaster area. Robert is the best in the business, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

What a perfect place to stay in a visit to Amish Country and all the sights around the area! Robert, the innkeeper, was warm, welcoming, more than helpful and has the best sense of humor! Our room, as well as the rest of the inn, was decorated to perfection — warm, all around comfortable, beautiful and charming.
After a terrific meal out, and a stop for a drink at a great place Robert recommended, we settled in for the evening working on a jigsaw puzzle in one of the comfy downstairs rooms. We then headed up to bed in our roomy room. Although there was a bit of car noise since our room overlooked the road, it was nothing that our ear plugs couldn't handle. Plus, the bed was so comfortable, sleep was no problem at all!
Our breakfast the next morning was delicious, with an egg casserole, banana bread topped with homemade Chantilly cream and fresh fruit. Also, delicious coffee
I would be remiss if I didn't also mention that the toiletries awaiting guests in their rooms were both thoughtful and luxurious.
Basically, you want to stay here!

Great staff, extremely clean place. As it's an older house it has a few quirks but the prices Is right and the food is very good. If we ever need to stay in the area again that's where we will be. The owners mom was there when we were and she is a wonderful lady and added positively to the experience.

Inside is even more charming — cozy parlor with a gathering room for conversation, board games or challenging puzzles. Our bedroom was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast eating area is quaint for all visitors to enjoy the fantastic food prepared and served by Robert and Luis! Their hospitality is second to none and they strive to make your stay as if you where at home. Very friendly and knowledgeable about where to go and see in Lancaster. Robert also talked a little about the Amish life style. I would definitely go back to stay. It is definitely an awesome place to spend quality time with you spouse.

Just spent my mom's birthday weekend in Lancaster, Pa. And had a wonderful time. And after two wonderful nights, we HIGHLY recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Lancaster area in Pa. The owner and host Robert Hall, is a funny and wonderful person and makes you feel welcomed into the B&B. He also serves up delicious, satisfying breakfasts! This is now our new favorite place to stay whenever we visit that area.

Super clean rooms and the breakfast was fantastic!

My wife dragged me here because I did not want to stay at a B&B. I'm so happy she did. We had a very nice and relaxing time. It was so nice being able to go downstairs to the living room or dining area to hang out. Our host Robert was funny, attentive to our needs, and very helpful about what to do in the area. We go to Lancaster once or twice a year and will never stay anywhere else. By the way, breakfast was pretty good too.

Very nice and clean rooms, balcony room is the best to me, enjoy a glass wine and wach people working in the fields. 7/31/17 return again for 3d time Robert make you fell like home is maintain the property very well. After Eight Bed and Breakfast is such a pleasant stay. Perfect location in Lancaster, close to anything your heart desires: delicious food, shopping and tourist attractions. Not to mention the beautiful view of a working Amish farm backed against the property and a very old Amish barn on the property itself. The best part is the owner who not only provides squeaky clean and comfortable accommodations but also a scrumptious breakfast and all the recommendations about the area you could possibly want. He's also very funny.

Excellent, great place to stay. Feels like your at home. Robert has a great atmosphere here. The breakfast is wonderful. Just a wonderful place. It's also quiet.

My wife and I visited Lancaster area last weekend from Harrisonburg, Va and decided to try "After Eight B&B". We had a FANTASTIC stay. Bedroom, bathrooms, common areas and dining room were immaculate and very tastefully decorated. All with beautiful antique decor and modern conveniences in appliances and fixtures. Individual room climate control was a wonderful feature too. Robert was a fantastic host, with stories, humor, recommendations for local activities and attraction and great guest services. The food was delicious every morning, so much so the we had to buy the cookbook featuring Robert's and many other area Inn and B&B secret recipes. Convienant location and parking plus wonderful on property gardens, fountains, porches and swings made it relaxing and serene. We met several other guests and my wife made friends with many of them at the puzzle table. We will definitely be back, in fact we're already making plans and have been recommending "After Eight" to all of our family and friends. See you soon Robert, Thanks Again for a wonderful stay!

The house was absolutely charming. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was positively delicious! I can't wait to return.

Wonderful place to stay. The decor is great and there is a really home feel. Rob is awesome and an amazing cook. He has thought of everything to make yourstay warm, friendly, and a great time.

Robert was Fun, entertaining and accommodating. I feel you get so much for a great price and you really feel at home. The area is so nice I feel like I'm in the middle of everything I wanted to go to and great eating spots near by, great location. Building has great history and peaceful in the back with a view of a field with horses. Thanks Robert&Lewis for the great stay definitely coming back.

My hubby and I have been three times, this was our first time staying in one of the rooms versus the cottage. It was beautiful, romantic and perfect for us. Robert is the perfect and hilarious host. We will be going back in February for my birthday so excited!

Our stay at the After Eight Bed & Breakfast was wonderful! Robert, the owner and innkeeper, was very welcoming. He suggested places to go based on our interest and he was spot on! The rooms are all very clean and beautiful with great decor. The outside view from the back porch is breathtaking! And it all felt like home. Robert was funny and insightful beyond words. We will definitely be back and will continue to refer friends and family here. The location is perfect!

We stayed one night but had a great time. Nice room, gorgeous property, great host and really nice homely breakfast. The owner listened to our interests upon check in and had suggestions for what he thought we would like — he was right! Would definitely stay again.

This was my first experience with a Bed & Breakfast, and I don't know if anyone could compare! Robert is an excellent host. When he gave us the house tour upon check-in, he chatted with us, discovered our interests, and gave us many wonderful suggestions. We followed his suggestions and had a fantastic time! Robert has a great sense of humor, and After Eight is immaculate and tastefully decorated. The breakfasts are absolutely divine! We enjoyed sitting outside and relaxing. I would like to visit again, and will recommend After Eight to anyone interested in a B&B in the Lancaster area.

This Bed and Breakfast is perfect! Our room was perfectly decorated, spotless, and comfortable as were all of the common rooms. The innkeeper, Robert, was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. His only rule was — relax! He knows the area well and can make lots of recommendations. There was a beautiful garden in back and a relaxing view of the Lancaster County countryside. Breakfast was delicious (Robert caters to individual dietary needs of his guests and was flexible with times). We will definitely be back!

The owner is way too strict. Sign on the door says "Don't knock before 3pm, I won't answer". Then, we were assigned a time for breakfast, there was no choice of when we wanted it and no cereal either. Room was nice but there was hiway noise. In this place you have to follow the rules… I was scared to find out the alternative. too many other choices in the area, I would stay away from this one.

My wife and I got married in June of 2010. We stayed at After Eight B&B at the end of October 2010. My wife and I had tickets to Sight and Sound. She gave me the go ahead to choose the B&B. There are a lot of B&B's in the Lancaster area. I liked the pictures from After Eight's website and I took a chance. It was a hard choice. After Eight made me look good as a new husband. We had a great time. If you are looking for a B&B in the Lancaster and beyond area, choose After Eight! Robert the keeper of After Eight was very friendly, funny and extremely informative about what to do for food, fun and relaxation. Our room was well maintained, very comfortable and relaxing. There are two sitting rooms downstairs, an amazing kitchen and dining area. Robert provides board games, cards, puzzles, great snacks and free beverages. The view of the backyard is a true Lancaster painting. The breakfast he provided each morning was grade A. My wife and I even purchased the cook book he and about 40+ other Lancaster B&B's put together. We are looking forward to making for our family what Robert made for us. Robert makes you feel at home. His cookies are amazing. After Eight might be the only B&B we ever go to now. Thanks Robert!
