Great little inn that will leave you scratching your head as to why it was so cheap. Sure the decor is a little dated but everything from the inside of the room to the outside parking area is very well kept. Anthony and Ciara at the front desk were also extremely nice and friendly.

The Inn itself was okay, the beds we're all new so it was a good sleep. Though the room itself felt a little dated it was great enough for a good rest and all the essentials one would want for a night. The bathroom was good, my only complaint is that the shower head was definitely too low, I expect most semi-tall people would think the same. The hotel also has a pretty nice coffee maker inside it and there was a very small continental breakfast. Pretty much a few pastries and juice in the office. The best part about this hotel is it's location. It's practically across the street from the entrance to Wildlife Safari which is a must, and there were many places to eat all around it.

2 stars because the employee we met was very friendly and understanding, but as soon as we got to our room we found a large black insect inside and didnt feel comfortable staying there overnight with a child. We are still waiting on a refund and also trying to sort out an additional unexplained charge. Most likely will not visit again.

For the most part a lovely stay in a newly remodeled room. The odors from the out gassing were to strong to sleep with the windows closed and unfortunately our room happened to be on the first floor closest to the roadway so it wasn't a peaceful evening. Room was quite large and reasonably priced. Hotel is located close to The Wildlife Safari and offers ticket discounts to guests for that attraction and a couple others, check their website for details.

The Wildlife Inn of Winston, OR is an fantastical place. My fiance and I stay here frequently. The staff are so friendly and I love the aesthetic. Not much wildlife in the rooms, but excellent landscaping. There is a really nice view from one side of the parking lot, if you look past the powerlines and at the hillside, trees, sky, etc. I believe there have been cows (or something) visible in the distance. The furniture seems a bit varied from room to room and the appliances are also slightly different. It's cool. The deluxe room, that we normally get, has a two separate compartment fridge and rare Toast n Wave™ microwave/toaster combination machine. Having a toaster in room is really nice; Wildlife Inn inspired me to buy an $9 travel toaster. Aside from trivial differences, all the rooms we've had have been consistent in theme (Donna did a nice job on those flowers she painted in the bathrooms). The furnishings are great. Comfy beds, fancy wooden tables/desks, plenty of chairs, cozy lighting, big enough TV w/enough channels. I do miss the animal print throw blanket that used to be on the couch in the deluxe room, the new management must not have liked it so much. Lol. The new toiletries are really nice, though. Breakfast has a grab and go feel. There are Caprisun pouches, pastries, and some fruits. We like it, because immaturity. Other customers probably like it, because Wildlife Inn is a tourist destination for families, most likely visiting the Wildlife Safari.

Pros, The room was clean and newly remodeled. The staff was helpful. The location was the best for seeing the safari park. Cons, The shower has a high pitch shriek. Very loud when you are trying to sleep and neighbors are showering. Floor boards above squeak and beds were lumpy.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and both times had an excellent experience. The website is easy to navigate and I was able to make my reservations without any problems and had plenty of reminders to reassure me that my plans were secure. (I was also able to purchase discounted tickets to the Wildlife Safari along with my hotel reservation. Even better! ) So, I appreciate the convenience of technology in booking my room, however, when it comes to my check-in and stay, I want it to be PERSONAL service! And it is! Warm friendly staff on site, ready to help and answer questions. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable with any convenience you might need; microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, air conditioner, etc. It's an older hotel so the decor is a little… vintage, but I don't care! I'm not going to live there! Nothing is shabby or worn or stained. Everything is fresh, bright, clean and well cared for. I want to point out that there are two hotels in Winston: one is this one, the WILDLIFE Inn. Awesome, wonderful, highly recommend it! The other is the Safari Inn. I couldn't even get past their website; they had so many spelling errors on their homepage. I couldn't even… After talking to a couple people in town, I'm wondering if maybe the few bad reviews about THIS hotel were people who got confused about the hotel in which they stayed. Wildlife Inn. Nice little motel. The building is older but the rooms have been refurbished. They had nice touches, such as the hand painted bathroom sink. Our room smelled of burnt hair and seemed to go away a little after I unplugged the hair dryer. Comfy though.

This is a great little place! It feels an aweful lot like staying at a nice bed and breakfast. The only negatives were the lack of a hot breakfast and the staff accidentally double charging me for my stay. I'm assured that will fall off my card, and you can bet I'll update if it doesn't. The staff was really sweet and super helpful. I was able to buy Wildlife Safari tickets at a discount at the front desk. The property is well designed for the awkward hill it's on. The room was so comfortable and spacious and clean. The tub was big enough for my plus size self and 5 year old sized toddler to take a bath together. Beds were somehow soft and comfortable, yet firm enough that I slept comfortably — and I need a very firm matress normally. I will absolutely be staying here again the next time we're in the area.

Newly redecorated and under new ownership, but with the same helpful office people. Vastly better than the other nearby lodgings, too.

I'd rate the room a 4. It's a solid room, quiet, and had three chairs. This made it easy for everyone to have a space for their luggage. The lock was tricky, so opening the door to the room was hard. I'd rate the bathroom a 4. The showerhead was nice. It's just a cheap one, but the spray was really drenching. The shower was visibly dirty to the point where I went and bought cleaning supplies before we took showers. But the bathroom was roomy, bright and the towels were nice. Negative: There was supposed to be a light breakfast of danish, muffins, juice and coffee. That sort of thing. There wasn't. Not even juice or coffee. This was a disappointment because we had planned on that for our time schedule. For this reason, I'm tempted to rate the inn overall a 3. But it seems harsh to judge on this, which I was told was a one-time miss. Overall, for the price I'd stay there again, but I wouldn't count on danish.

It's a small but very clean place and the price is just right for it's location… The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are new so can't complaint definitely would recommend and stay here again.

I was very pleased with our stay. The man at the front desk was super nice and friendly. Our room was plenty big for the 5 of us and the location can't be beat if you're going to the Wildlife Safari.

Highly recommended for a family stay! Dan is super funny and kind they have a park near by for kids, they offer bord games in the lobby for your stay. The room was clean and decorated so fun! It made are experience even better! Ps for all the people complaining it's clearly a none smoking facility and they offer to bring more towles, pillows ext on request. Thanks wildlife inn!

My wife and I came to this place for my birthday weekend. My really wanted to see the Wildlife Safari in Winston. We loved our stay, the rooms were very spaces and clean. The staff were very cutios and helpful. All for 80 bucks a night, can't get any better.

I came here this week to stay for a vacation. Wildlife Inn is an amazing hotel to stay in. The room in 18 is big, very clean and cozy especially with the added fireplace. I had a great sleep. The gym, spa and conference room are great added amenities. The manager, Dave, is always helpful and accommodating. It's a non-smoking hotel. Free Wi-Fi and lots of Tv channels. Highly recommended!

Not clean, mold around the shower floor. After walking on the carpeted floor for about 5 minutes we noticed all our feet were black and dirty from filthy carpets. No water pressure and the ac/heating system is a joke. We cooled our room down in the middle of the night by opening the door and fanning it to create a draft. We wanted our kids to enjoy the safari theme. Haha. The shower curtain and comforters on the bed are dated leopard skin pattern, that's the extent of the safari theme. They should advertise that it's a 70's theme.

Room was comfortable even though it was quite dated. Beds were comfortable — they had foam toppers. Linens were clean and fresh smelling. We had the family suite (rm 18) and there were 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. (couch did not have a foam topper) There was a mini fridge in it and a microwave. Owner/operator was super nice.

I highly recommend staying at Wildlife Inn. The room I stayed in last week was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. There's a fireplace as well which made the room very relaxing and cozy. The staff were very polite and friendly, especially their manager, Dave. I used their full-house gym — a great addition to this hotel. This is centrally located and very close to the freeway. Overall, my stay was awesome!

For a two star hotel it has a three star feel. Sure the look inside is a little 90's themed but for what you pay and for the customer service you receive it can't be beat. Also keep in mind if you are going for the Wildlife Safari, if you book here you get discounts on tickets :)

There are two hotels in Winston. This is the only one worth paying for. The other hotel safari inn is … not worth mentioning.

I would give this a 3 star rating for the area, if you're going up against say a Hilton at Bonnet In Orlando I'd give it a 1 star, but for what it was it was okay. First off, the staff was very friendly and helpful! As far as the room: 2 queen beds, a functional TV (but not remote), a microwave and small fridge. The A/C unit worked after figuring out there was a switch across the room for it, but every time it turned on it woke me up. No coffee maker! The beds were fairly comfortable and the fan in the bathroom worked well, always a plus when traveling ;-) Though the property was non-smoking, it had an odor that was definitely smoke and a musty smell, too, obviously the carpets need a real cleaning! They had "free" Wi-Fi, however, my boys could not log-in because of a "weak signal" as their tablets both said. They did have wildlife decor which sets them apart from most places in the area, but the question remains, would I stay there again? Probably not.

I would never stay again! First I thought I was getting a good deal with groupon that included two tickets to wildlife safari but the hotel in no way was worth the money I paid. First we got our room and thought it was nice big decent room, beds were comfy but non of that was worth it. Sat down went to turn the TV on and the remote didn't work. That's just irritating housekeeping should be checking those things, so then I get up start flipping through channels they had less then 18 channels half of them were all fuzzy so not even clear and no kid channels so I'm like okay I'll get on the internet and let the kids watch something on there, nope no Wi-Fi working. Not having this planned we had nothing for the kids to do for the evening after spending the day at wildlife safari we just wanted to relax the kids were so bored trying to play hide and seek. In a small room. I do understand the no smoking policy but come on not even on the property at all, we are very respectful and don't smoke right outside doors etc. We would go where no one was at but instead you had to go stand on the sidewalk of the busy street. That wasn't a huge deal just annoying. Also had to pay extra for the kids come on hardly any hotel charges for kids anymore so over all we paid $129 + tax to sit and be bored for the night. Also received breakfast vouchers for noah's ark but before we left a read reviews and it was all bad so we didn't even wast our time trying it.

A perfect fit in a small friendly town.

This is a great place for it being older. I didn't expect it to be something like the Hilton, but it has great management! At the present time, there is no pool or laundry services, but there is a laundry mat right down the road. However it is quiet and nice! Definitely a great place to rest your head.

Stayed here on a field trip. All I can say was it was cheap. We didn't have a microwave or fridge in our room, but I used another room's microwave and it smelt horrible and was dirty, like someone cooked blood in it or something. I didn't see any bedbugs, so I can't say that I hated it.
