This is a nice hotel but… Their "River View" rooms (which cost extra) have a very obscured view of the river. You're mostly looking at a parking lot and some large buildings in the Old Mill District. There's no particular added value in upgrading to a River View room. The rooms with a balcony are on the second floor. If you like to have a top floor (the hotel has three floors), you should forego the balcony. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay in Bend.

GREAT LOCATION just had a few glitches… The lobby is beautiful, the location is superb… however when we arrived, I asked for an extra pillow and a couple of extra towels. The person at the front desk told me sorry they couldn't get those to me until the next morning… Okayyy… also we had upgraded to a room with a balcony and the table and chairs and balcony were very dirty. I used one of the towels from the bathroom to wipe down all of the furniture outside so I could sit in the sun… later that day I was overwhelmed by the smell of pot… I guess our neighbors were getting high… overall, it was a great room, but service was lacking and could have been cleaner. I'm giving it 4 stars though because the location and lobby were amazing!

Everything was fantastic. Rooms are clean, bed is very comfortable. Only complaint is that breakfast doesnt start until 6.

Beautiful. Exactly what you would want in Central Oregon. Stunning wood work and stonework. Entry is warm and inviting. Staff is superior at making you feel welcome. Rooms are large and fully accommodating.

First impression was great. Friendly/welcoming front desk staff. Lobby design was inviting. Room was clean with plenty of room to move around for 2 people. Great location for access to shopping/dining.

The having to settle for a less desired type of room (I slept on an unsleepable sofa bed — my friend paid the bulk and got the bed) is this hotel's biggest star loss. Other than that, the pool and hot tub were great. The non-complimentary breakfast restaurant didn't open early enough to my liking. However, the french toast was incredibly delicious.

They offer great services and the folk here are outstanding and helpful! The bar off the lobby has good drinks and the rooms are very nice!

Great place to stay. Walking distance to movies, restaurants and shopping. The staff here is exceptional. On a few occasions I’ve asked for help, they have delivered above expectations. Very clean facilities. Comfortable beds, lounge areas, cozy fireplace, tons of light and color. A productive place to work and relaxing spot for a vacation. I will stay here every time I’m in Bend.

Great place to stay in Bend! The rooms are great, and I loved the view we had from the balcony. They really pay attention to quality, and I like the Neutrogena products (including a small vanity kit) and the Keurig in the room. This hotel has a path leading right down to the Old Mill District shops, and it is also near a lot of great trails for running and walking right from the hotel!

Quiet, clean and good location, right next to the Old Mill shops and restaurants. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable. UPDATE: Having been a Hilton Diamond for a number of years, I that the dining staff at this location to be inattentive and oblivious to customers. I am quite cross about this, as my mother and I went to breakfast and essentially were passed-over by the staff for service. Further, the staff didn’t really acknowledge our presence. I am MOST unhappy. Other customers were and some of the staff spent excessive time chatting with other guests. It felt to me as though they didn’t want customers. If I was still a Diamond, I’d call Hello From Dallas.

The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. There was a mix up with check in, and they were quick to fix the problem. The location was also perfect for access to restaurants, shopping and trail space. The Hilton Garden Inn will be our first choice when we're next staying in town.

Great service from all of the employees. Really clean all around. The restaurant has a really good menu! We went to Greg's grill and it was really expensive and the steak did not compare to the steak at the hotel grill I was impressed. The bar definitely needs to be upgraded and remodeled to be larger. Maybe a long bar against the back window and remove the window. This really could be a nice lobby restaurant and lounge with great food and service. Either way I enjoyed and was very pleased.

Great location next to the Old Mill District. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast variety is pretty well planned and the hot grill foods are a plus! Rooms are decent and comfortable without the sterile new feel. The views are great if you have a river view or balcony!

I like the hotel. Bilevel suite is very spacious, and whirlpool helped me to relax. Breakfast is tasty with high quality service. Especially I liked omelette with ingredients I selected from the menu. Since I'm Gold Member I got it for free. Location is convenient in Bend downtown. Five stars.

Awesome room, very clean and modern. Only complaint would be that the fold out bed is very uncomfortable. Aside from that would highly recommend!

Lovely hotel with quick access to Old Mill trail, river, shops and beer! Hot tub room was fantastic with great views. Can't wait for included breakfast!

Come back early from skiing to watch the end of the Seahawk Playoff Game and they dont get the channel. A local network channel. Excuse at the front desk is "its not in the package we subscribe too". Youre a Hilton Property subscribe to it! Will stay at the Homewood Suites on my next trip no questiuon.

Parking was easy to find and the Lobby was very nice and clean. The restaurant was slow, but they were very apologetic and gave the delayed meals free. The room was very clean and the bathroom was great! Though, if we left the curtains open, the outside light would shine in since we were on the ground floor.

My favorite hotel in Bend. All around a great hotel. Good facilities, excellent staff and great rooms.

The hotel is walking distance from the Deschutes River. There's a really nice walking path that abuts the river. There are also plenty of shopping opportunities and fine dining walking distance from the hotel. The hotel room is spacious and nothing but excellent service from the staff.

Very beautiful entrance and main lobby. Great room and very friendly staff. My only complaint was that we couldn't sleep in because we could hear everything that the neighboring room's guests were doing and saying and they were talking at a normal tone. Other than that great stay and I would stay there again.

The hotel is very clean. The hotel restaurant management was a huge disappointment. My group was coming back from the Alvord Desert with an eta of 12am. We called for room service at 9pm via. Phone, an hour before the restaurant closes, but the restaurant refused to provide us with food. It's 2016 and the restaurant manager said that he cannot take a credit card via. The phone nor could be charge the bill to the room. After going back and forth for almost 15 mins, we ended up at McD because every restaurant in Bend would have been closed by the time we arrived. Very disappointed in the lack of flexibility in the service. The manager even asked if understood his procedures. Sadly, no, I still do not understand how it's possible that you can't take a cc over the phone.

Great location next to the Old Mill District. Comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast in the lobby with continental as well as made-to-order. This is my go-to place for staying in Bend.

The Hilton Garden Inn Bend, is a beautiful, clean hotel that is a short walk to the Old Mill shopping area. The staff is kind & eager to make sure we had a memorable stay. Our room was a bi-level King suite with river view. The room feels clean & new. We got a better rate prepaying online. The jacuzzi in the loft was clean with a great view. I have stayed here multiple times and have had a great experience.

Great hotel! Our room was clean and everything was in working order. The lounge and restaurant staff were great. Make sure you ask if the cook is making anything special for the day. She can whip up some amazing food :)

Hotel is in good repair. The for purchase breakfast was good and reasonably priced. I would have rated it 5 stars but for some reason they have installed the bathroom towel rack inside the shower.

Comedo and in a central area, close to several restaurants and a promenade next to the river.

Large, comfortable room. Check in was fine. Location is a bit corporate.

The staff is amazing! Tom, the front desk staff understood our situation as we had a decline on our bank card because bank systems were down and he worked with us, of course we paid cash but had no problems trying to figure out the situation. Amazing rooms, great views and will be staying another night. Even if bank systems are still down. So note to self, plenty of cash on hand helps in situations like ours that we had no control of. Would recommend this place to anyone and will be staying again. Kudo's to Tom ;) Edited: to quick to post 1st review. My card kept declining because hotel over charged it twice after I paid cash. Could not use bank card while on trip because hotel took all my money after I paid cash. Bank was having delays in real time posting so had no clue hotel was to blame until Monday morning when I called bank, Hilton said they have nothing in their system to show they charged my card but my bank cleared it and returned charges. Tom is still great but rest of staff seemed clueless. Beds hard and whirl tub barely worked. Very stressful 2 day stay. Not even offered a complementary breakfast for the troubles. I believe there moto is "If we can't make you happy, your stay is free" nada, just a apology for my stressful stay on vacation.

Nice place to stay. Clean rooms; comfy bed. All the usual amenities. Kinda small but adequate fitness room. No complaints at all, really. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at.

We had made plans to stay y the river for Spring Break with kids. We called at least a week early to make reservations directly to hotel. Not to a 3rd party. We live 4 hours away so at 630pm when we left I called hotel to let them know we are on way hold our room. They said no problem we have your room ready for you. We arrived around 1030 and was told we have no rooms left. Of course this was after we confirmed our stay and they sent a confirmation email as we were traveling to hotel. They sent us to another hotel that they arranged for us to stay in without even asking or notifying us and yes they had our cell phone number. The reason for 3 stars was they put us in a nice hotel and paid for both nights. We could of booked there ourselves but we wanted to be by the river. Bitter sweet but this practice of how the events turnout was frustrating.

Great food great service hottub could have been warmer other then that a all around good stay.

Very friendly, and nicer than many of the flagship Hilton properties. But the king bed was soft and lumpy, and there were only 3 pillows which is where they lose a star.

Best hotel in DT Bend I have stayed at.

This hotel was formerly the Ameritel Inn. It looks like it was recently renovated when it became a Hilton Garden Inn. It's located in the Old Mill District, which makes it super convenient to the shops in the Old Mill District and downtown. Our room was comfortable and spacious. I used to stay at the Fairfield Inn but will probably stay here on future visits.
