Amazing staff. Full of Aloha. The condo we had was perfect and the view. We got to hang out in the rooftop because we got here so early. Excited to be here. Amazing front desk Shirley sweet and full of Aloha. Makes you feel like home.

We stay here with my family for 2 weeks it good places close to every where and good service.

Extremely well placed in Waikiki, rooftop pool very nice for the panorama! Very attentive staff and really very pleasant! Go there with your eyes closed!

The most exquisite hotel ever been into in my life.

We arrived in Waikiki after a 30 year absence. Our PH condo was everything we were hoping for. It was convenient to beach and shopping as well as having the kitchen facilities we appreciate so much. There was construction below but not beyond ignoring. We loved our views of mauka, makai, Diamond Head and the Honolulu City lights at night. We watched the surfers in the morning and could see the Royal Hawaiian, an old friend.
Our room was well appointed with everything we needed. We would have loved a King size bed but made it work. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi gave us stunning views and a chance to make new friends. Thoroughly enjoyed our Welcome aboard cocktail hour and pupus. Altogether a lovely experience.
Our only recommendations would be renegotiating the parking fees for the building. We actually ended up renting a space down the street for half the price. Not a huge problem but could have been a little more convenient.

This place is great. Great people friendly and outgoing. Great desk staff and help. Gave a little salmon out and some smoke fish from alaska.

When we arrived, all went well. Staff were more than friendly. We didn’t get into our room until 12 which was pretty good considering it was to be 2pm. Room is very suitable, has everything, it’s clean and comfortable. It’s location to most things is excellent.

If your budget is priority it is a great bargain location loc3 location.

Great location and having a full kitchen is very helpful in keeping your food costs down.

We had a great time there recently! very nice kept up place with great staff ;) we had room 602, partial ocean view, 1 bedroom with king size bed and a hide a bed which was comfortable. I would for sure stay there again. The views from the swimming pool were amazing!

The power went off during our stay and we discovered: THIS BUILDING HAS NO EMERGENCY LIGHTING AND EVEN THE EXIT LIGHTS WERE OUT. This building would not pass fire code back home. Every noise from the street was audible from our 12th floor room. The sirens never end, the heavy garbage trucks start before 4 AM and the buses run about 20 hours/day and you hear it all. The roof top deck has great views and the pool is wonderful, but motor for the hot tub screams like a jet engine and eventually becomes hard to ignore.

Have just got home from a 2 week stay here. It was absolutely perfect. Had everything you could want/need in the rooms, rooftop pool with sun all day and amazing views! The staff were so so friendly, always had a smile on their faces especially the maids! They always asked if there was anything we needed and made sure everything was perfect for us! Is also in a perfect location, beach 1 min walk away if that, along with all the shops/restaurants you could dream of!
Would highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully be back one day!

This hotel was great! In a wonderful location for getting around Waikiki. Plenty of shopping and restaurants very close by. Also a bus stop right out front! The air conditioning unit is loud but we were grateful for it in the heat and humidity! The desk was very helpful and kept all of our bags (7 people) until our room was ready so we could go sightseeing. It was waiting in our rooms when we got back to check in!

Great location on kuhio just a blocks stroll to the beach. Updated modern entrance, friendly staff, rooms very nice, large and clean. Pool sauna and spa on rooftop. Large hospitality room for hosting. Insider top: condos in building available via air bnb for a great rate.

Very well priced high quality suites! The low garage clearance does not allow all SUVs to park inside. Parking price a bit steep.

Definitely worth visiting again, on one side you have the River, on the other side you have the beach. Paradise.

Cleanliness needs improvement. Pool was noticeably cloudy and dirty for almost the entire 2nd week of our stay. Staff notified and never got cleaned. Entire hotel dated however kitchenette very convenient as food nearby shady. Other than the lack of cleaning staff was friendly.

Arrived yesterday so still here. So far So good. Have lovely clean apartment, good views, wonderful swimming pool on roof, great system for getting beach towels etc. Close to beach and shops, great staff, recommend to anyone. 5 star rating from us.

Stayed at an AirBnB on the 27th floor in the Pacific Monarch with a beautiful view of Waikiki beach. We really enjoyed the unit and the building. The musubi cafe located on the 1st floor was a sweet, perfect spot to grab some fresh, warm spam musubi. There usually is a line so prepare for a small wait. The rooftop swimming pool is warm and perfect for a night swim. The hot tub fits plenty of adults. We would be happy to stay here every time we are on Oahu. One minor negative, finding free parking in the area is no fun but the building does has a $25/day option.

Lived up to this in Sheraton price big someone either in a quiet smokes or ORT kids through the wall here I felt really rest all at home on the cane there are All the necessary nearby restaurants and Japanese Food Fest (omosui) height of the shower who the little things from the main street no Noise on the roof up to 22:00 swimming pool sauna and Jacuzzi Thank you for your stay.

We arrived yesterday after flight from Oz via NZ. Booked 4 studio rooms for 2 nights and we where upgraded to 1 bedroom apartments. Given early check in which was greatly appreciated after long flight at 10am. Staff couldn't have been any nicer and more helpful. Rooms all very clean and beds comfortable. Air con could be updated into split systems but great breeze through doors was all we needed with ceiling fans. Hotel is very central for beach/ resteraunts and shops. Food pantry supermarket just a couple of blocks walk along the street. We would definitely recommend staying here.

My fifth time to this location absolutley prime location. Staff are wonderful they remember you which makes you feel at home. House keeping do a wonderful job. In my opinion 10 out of ten.

The age is showing somewhat but overall it is a nice place. The rooms are nice and have good amenities. It's everything you need and it's a 5 minute walk to the beach.

Great views, average rooms. Due to a plumbing issue in my original room, we were upgraded to an ocean view suite. The view was fabulous. The beds were comfy, and even the sofabed wasn't bad. The kitchenette was a bit oddly laid out, but had everything we needed. Housekeeping was not all I might have hoped for — things got pretty dusty during out 2 week stay, and the vacuuming was pretty slapdash — but it wasn't terrible. The rooftop pool was warm, and you can see for miles from the pool deck. Turning on the hot tub aeration created a noise like a siren, but if you can live without the bubbles, it's quite pleasant. We spent a lot of time in the courtyard of the sister Aqua hotel next-door, which is lovely. It's about what you'd expect for its price point.

The parking is horrific! The staff was helpful and nice but the rooms are falling apart… tile is cracked everywhere, exposed plumbing, cracks in the drywall. Mixed and match lighting and the worst is the hidden fees! Roughly $60 a day in hidden fees. Do not go to Pacific monarch save your money and go somewhere else anywhere else like maybe even a motel 6 is better quality!

Purchased through Groupon and was expecting the worst (you never know what you'll end up with on Groupon), but was impressed! Rooftop pool and hot tub are nice and you get a beautiful view of the city. This hotel is a bit dated, but the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, rooms have all the amenities you need the kitchenette is well stocked. If your not requiring anything fancy this is a great place to stay. Location is perfect too only 2 blocks to the beach.

Lovely and clean room. Well serviced, nice rooftop pool and spa area. Excellent staff. However on the higher levels of the building, we experienced rattling and whistling nosies that made it difficult to sleep. Highly enjoyed our stay.

Pretty nice convenient hotel with kitchen and a dinning table and chairs. Self parking is a bit tricky but $30 per day is reasonable. Rice ball restaurant at lobby floor was really great.

It's true to its 3 star rating. They've tried to update things here and there, but there are certain key things that they've neglected which would otherwise have increased my rating of them. There is one window that is not sealed. It wouldn't necessarily be a problem, except for the fact that the weather is always warm and humid. What makes things worse is that he AC unit is located right under that window and the entire setup is in the most isolated corner of the room. So what happens? Air coming from the AC unit escapes straight through the perpetually unsealed window and the entire room stays hot and humid i. E uncomfortable. Also, asking for a wake up call is useless as their system is always broken. Otherwise, not a bad place to put your feet up after a long day of sightseeing.

Had the best time in Hawaii as usual. The staff at this hotel where the best. And our room was amazing It felt like home.

We enjoyed our stay at the pacific monarch as it is a central location to Waikiki beach, local shops, food, and transit. It's worth it for that convenience alone. The staff are really friendly and helpful, excellent people working there. The hospitality room was a great addition as you have a place to hangout & shower before and after checkout. No food included but you do get a mini fridge and a hot plate and microwave, rice cooker and dishes. I give 3 stars because I've been to a 5 star and where this hotel lacks is hugely in the cleanliness. The staff didn't clean the mirrors or shower (basic stuff). There was no vaccuming or sweeping done either during our stay. It was made obvious by the little things that turn up while u stay there over 9 days that didn't get cleaned. When we checked in there was still popcorn under the mini fridge from another guest before ours. I could have complained but this is basic cleaning to me. That's my only real issue with having stayed here. Since I take cleanliness seriously, I docked two stars. Basically everyday they'd make the bed and give new towels. The shower room lacks hugely as the standup shower is tight but gets the job done. Overall it's a great location for tourists with staff that are very helpful. There is a shuttle to the airport so ask for that info instead of paying a $45 US cab ride.

The hotel is very nice and also spacious. In the rooms one comes to a key card, which proves to be quite difficult. The service could be a bit more helpful, with friendliness being capitalized here.

I have stayed in Waikiki many times and this hotel is by far the best I have encountered. Clean, brilliantly located, great staff, awesome amenities, excellent for a longer stays. As another reviewer said "feels like home". Will be my go to place for future visits for sure!

This place was super nice! Great location and fast check in. It was spacious and clean. Could not be happier.

Had an excellent time here recently! Our room was nice and tidy as well as excellent amenities, even though we didn’t checkout any DVDs or games. Only real issue was the air conditioner didn’t seem to work great, but our room was in direct sunlight all day. The pool was up and running during our visit. It was a great place to relax after spending the day out and about it after the beach to cool down.

Me and my family stayed here for a week and they did not even clean the microwave the cleaning services is really bad…

Due to this place previously being a condominium, we were originally placed in a more run down room not identifying to the rooms advertised on their website. However after speaking to the very kind employee at the front desk we were very quickly placed in a beautiful room just as desired. The location is just a short walk to the beach and right in the middle of anything and everything else. The views are great and the employees are very friendly. Definitely a great value for the price and will most likely stay here again when we visit again.

I cannot possibly recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel itself was nice, however my overall experience was horrific, the security was extremely hostile for no apparent reason. My elderly mother (age of 88) was denied entry after 10:00 for having no id and then while she was sitting on the sidewalk outside after, not even in the lobby was threatened by the security guard that he would call the police if she tried to enter the hotel. This same event happened again with my son the next day with the same security guard. I stay at hotels 100+ days a year and this is the worst experience with security I have ever had in any hotel. The strict rules and lack of aloha spirit have fully dissuaded me from ever staying at this hotel again.

We are currently staying here. At time of booking or more recently, there was no mention of renovations taking place during our 15 day stay. In fact, on your Facebook page you still posted photos of the pool suggesting the pool was in use. These posts have since been removed from your thread. After a 10 hour flight, all we wanted was a hot shower. Twice now we have asked and enquires about our shower water temperature. The response (or rather attitude) from reception was poor, second request — the maintenance man said he would enquire? and get back to us? Given that I have just checked your bookings tonight and you are offering to waive the service fee (due to renovations), I find this practice unacceptable. In Australia, we call this poor trading. We have saved for over 3 years for this break, we are hard working people. We rarely complain but today we return from our tour to find our room had been serviced but staff had not locked the door behind them, in fact it was clearly ajar which we noticed coming out of the lift. We had cameras etc on the table. Poor service can ruin people's holidays — please don't reply with the usual apologies/blurb. We request General Management email address — Mahalo.

We visited family who is staying at the hotel. The room was clean, really liked the kitchen. Only downside is the pool is still under construction.

Spend a week in the hotel on family vacation in Hawaii. The hotel is very convenient located just two streets off the Waikiki beach (the most touristy beach in Honolulu). The hotel has its own parking lot (though managed by other company) and thus is very convenient if you are driving. The rooms are average, but spacious and offer good views and natural light. The rooftop swimming pool and spa were great for for the kids.

I stayed here 5 nights, rented a motorcycle for three. The front desk told me they can't let motorcycles park in their garage, so I was instructed by the clerk to park at the Pacific Beach hotel. He said they charge less than the $30 rate at this hotel. I was led to believe they had something worked out between hotels to take care of their guests, but apparently not so. I got charged $150 to park for one night! When confronted the front desk, the lady tried to claim it was only a "suggestion" and there's nothing they could do. No effort to try to make things right.

Lovely housekeeper! Very very sweet! Okay partial ocean view, mostly overlooking the Hyatt's. Front desk was nice, very accommodating. If you need a bigger rice cooker, you can ask for it. AC was a bit weak.

Excellent experience with a helpful staff! I came here on my honeymoon and I could not have picked a better location. As soon as we came in they upgraded our room at no extra charge and gave us a box of chocolate cover macadamia nuts. The staff was great at pointing us to great restaurants and attractions. The rooftop pool was perfect for swimming and laying out in the sun when you wanted a break from waikiki beach but still wanted to be in the great weather. Definitely coming back next time we visit!

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Pacific Monarch. A great stay and so relaxing. The staff are all so top notch, friendly and helpful. The rooms are nothing fancy, but clean and have a homely feel. The kitchens have the basic cooking necessities. Although, I'd highly recommend bringing a sharp knife unless you're good at cutting pineapples with a bread knife. The location in Waikiki is amazing, 2-3 minutes to the beach, grocery store & bus stop. Pizza shop next door, sandwich, smoothies & bubble tea across the street and an ABC at the end of the block. Plus only 5-10 minutes to the fancy hotels or Zoo. The only downside is the hospitality fee of $15… That being said, would most definitely stay here again.

Good location and great rooms. We got a room that slept 4 it was a great size and considering that most hotels are outdated in Waikiki this place isn't too bad. Pool is small but you don't come here to swim in a pool. Expect to pay extra for internet and other utilities when you get here. They will Charge you $15 a day extra.

Stayed here for two week in November 2015, great location for the beach and all that Waikiki has to offer. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the staff were pleasant and courteous. This place has amazing views over the city and had me taking photographs night and day!. The bus stop is just across the street and from here you can travel all over the island. We did. I would have no reservations in staying here again, and as a matter of fact hope to return in 2017!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a week in May and were really impressed with the hotel. We got a travel package deal through Expedia so it was pretty cheap overall. Despite having a city view room, the balcony still has a partial view of the ocean if you're up high enough. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You can get a clean beach towel every day if desired. There's always a jug of cold fresh lemon water in the lobby. The kitchen has more than you could possibly need, including a full size fridge, oven, coffee maker, rice maker, and large sink (with dish soap and drying rack included). There are also all sorts of utensils, plates, and cups. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the room as a whole is very spacious. On the day we checked out, our flight didn't leave until the evening and the front desk let us store our bags in an employee room while we went out for lunch, as well as allowed us access to the upstairs lounge to hang out until the bus arrived to take us to the airport. Parking is expensive but we didn't rent a car so that wasn't a problem. Parking is expensive everywhere on the island and the public bus system is really the best way to get around anyway.

This hotel was perfect for my family. We had 5 people staying and we booked a one bedroom hotel. The fold out couch was perfect for my brother and my sister-in-law while the roll out bed was perfect for me. The weather at night is really nice (no bugs or flies to bother me), so I rolled the bed out to the big balcony and slept outside all week. The staff was attentive, yet I feel that they could do better. The renovation of this place is great, and I really liked the kitchen which came with pots, pans, dishes, dish washing soap, etc. Also, I loved the bathroom soap. Actually I've never been into bar soaps that are provided in hotels but this hotel has really nice bar soaps! This hotel was great for the price and I feel that we got more than what we paid for! I would highly recommend this place. We got the partial ocean view which was great because we had the view of the city, the hills, and the ocean to the side.

My kids and I rented 2 studios both with partial ocean view. We were on the 19th floor which provided stunning 2/3 city view and nice 1/3 ocean view. The rooms are clearly old with some newer items featured. Adults should avoid the near-worthless sofa beds. One room had a very noisy AC and one didn't. High speed internet was $40 for the week via an ethernet cable (good anywhere in the hotel). Parking was $60 for a week. Location vs price is 4.5 stars, but the worn out hallways and very cramped and borderline dangerous parking garage bring it down to a 3 overall. This is my 3rd time to Oahu. If we do this again then I will probably opt to pay more for the same beach house I had in 2007 at the north shore.

Found this Japanese restaurant walking from nearby hotel one night and have been been again two more times. Friendly and diligent service, tasty food, clean and moden decoration lines, and attention to details. In addtion, a place to have a dish I have not had since last visiting Japan: okonomiyaki! Marvelous; I am going again tonight.
