Was disappointed the pool is closed all year for COVID. Room smells like cigarettes but we brought air fresheners.

Very clean & respectful housekeepers!

Do not stay here they are stealing money from people accounts they took 900 dollars out of my account after me and my bank got off the phone with them Friday it was refunded and then on Saturday they took out 450

Requested non smoking room, yet blankets had cigarette holes in them & when my husband went to the front desk to ask for another blanket the front desk attendant offered a sheet. The attendant rudely said they could not give him a blanket.

Good hotel and roomy suites with complimentary breakfast and a pool.

I like the rooms here. Very quiet and spacious. Only 4 stars however because of the smell that you have to bare on your way to your room is terrible.

Laura, the last who checked me in was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was really good with many choices from scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, sausage, and bacon. Can also choose from cereal, waffles and yogurt among other things. The room was clean although there are some maintenance issues that need some attention. The bathroom was ok, probably could have done a better job cleaning the sink and shower but wasn't horrible. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to stay. We did have a scare between 3 and 4 in the morning. The fire alarm went off and that was scary. It was a false alarm but the firemen came and checked everything out. They were there within 5 minutes. They never figured out what caused the alarm to go off. When we left it still hadn't been reset because of some glitch.

Very nice place to stay. Indoor pool, weight room, game room, don't drink but they have wine and beer you can purchase in the store. Huge lobby to just hang out in. Breakfast is delicious with many items to choose from. Great place for a travel baseball team to stay.

Air conditioner unit in my room was only blowing cool air. When I notified the front desk was told to go back turn it off unplug it wait a few minutes plug it back in and it should work. Never did they say sorry for the inconvenience or that they would send somebody to look at it. After not only paying for my room but also being the maintenance man the AC still did not work. The manager then came to my room and discovered that the thermostat within the AC unit was not properly attached. Was told I would be moved to another room. An hour later I had to go back to the front desk and complain again because I was tired of sitting in this hot room. After 2 hours finally moved to a room that had a properly working AC unit. Not only did the AC unit not work in the first room but the walls of the shower were practically coming down. They were barely being held up by tons of caulk.

One of the better quality inn's that I've stayed at. Rooms, amenities, and breakfast was great. Priced well also, with a great staff. No complaints on my end!

Housekeeping added a special touch. People were nice. Room was clean.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The free breakfast is a nice thing and the food wasn't to bad either. I would recommend it to anyone needing a decent place to stay.

This is my second stay here. The rooms are spacious and, as the bed, comfortable. The room has a small kitchen area with a microwave and frig and a sitting area. This room actually has a Jacuzzi tub that was an added surprise. Both times the staff had me with a key to the room in about 5 minutes (I did have reservations). The breakfast is excellent with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and waffles. The other standard items are a notch up also. There is a Cracker Barrell right beside the hotel and a Kobe Japanese restaurant beside it with other choices nearby. This is a busy hotel but still quiet. I will stay here again when business brings me here.

Good place to spend the night. Very comfortable room and quiet. Love that the entrance to the room was indoors. Stair well smelled like an ashtray. The complementary breakfast was nice. I will stay again.

I've been staying here for the last 4 yrs. Any time I'm in this area I stay here. Staff here is great. Nick the owner cares about his guest. You want a good place to stay then stay here.

The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. The breakfast is hot and fresh. The housekeeping staff are friendly and consistent. The front desk staff are always willing to help and very friendly. Close to I40, near stores, and restaurants. Great place to stay.

Suite sized rooms for a cheap motel price! Great food in the area! Can't go wrong here. Great Wi-Fi also.

Not a bad hotel. Laid out kinda wonky, but comfortable bed. Tiny bathroom and the AC acted weird. But the price was great.

We made a last minute reservation. When we arrived, an hour later, we were given a free upgrade because the room type we requested was full. The bed was amazing! Made up perfectly with wonderful linens. The accommodations could not have been nicer. The pool was lit for night and very clean. Everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. The staff is so friendly and helpful. One of the best Hotel experiences I have had and I travel a lot.

This hotel has been updated. The rooms are comfortable. The facilities are clean. There is a breakfast bar that offers a wide range of the usual breakfast items (eggs, sausage, grits, cereal, waffles, COFFEE). The staff is helpful and provides good customer service. There is no elevator. All the rooms are accessible from outside or via stairwells. There is a decent swimming pool and outdoor area. All around a good hotel.

Currently working in the area so I used this hotel to crash. It has done it's job, comfortable beds, friendly staff. So far I have absolutely no complaints.

As a family, we have stayed here for the past 8 years. We thoroughly enjoy the staff, cleanliness, and amenities for the great price. They have a free hot breakfast with choices for all diet needs. We appreciate the hospitality of Nick and his awesome crew!

Very nice room and excellent breakfast. Bed was decent, but one side was a little sunken. Didn't use they pool, but it looked like it was clean. Well worth it for the price that are charging.

They gave us a smoking room to begin with. They claimed that the smoke was coming from the downstairs floors. I can't imagine how much one would have to smoke to make it that powerful of a stench! They were kind enough and gave us another room. The rooms were nice enough, but we then had someone else they tried to assign come in the door to our new room! Overall the establishment is fine but maybe the staff could use some work.

This hotel is conveniently located and has been updated. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a pool and a fitness room. There is no elevator for second floor rooms. This hotel offers complimentary breakfast.

Best kept secret in Hickory. Spacious rooms, sessional pool, exercise room, hot breakfast. I've been staying here once a week for two years, great place, great people.

The hotel room layout is interesting, as it's a mixed indoor/outdoor layout, but the rooms themselves were an extremely enjoyable place to rest. We had jacuzzis in each room, showers have curved rods for extra space, the beds were quite cool and comfy, and the breakfast was actually quite nice (fresh waffles and orange juice are immediately worth 5 stars in my book). I would very much recommend this hotel and can see myself returning to this hotel in the future.

The absence of elevators is a nuisance, but they serve my favorite complimentary hot breakfast! I keep coming back for the grits and baked apples! I'm in the area often and this has steadily been my choice.

The location was great and the room was nice. I just wish they had given the option to hook up a DVD player to watch movies.

The hotel has been renovated. The rooms are nicely updated and the hotel facilities match. The hotel features a pool, a coin operated laundry, a gym, nicely updated lobby and breakfast area. The rooms are spacious and come with all the standard amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is laid out as separate buildings. The few draw backs: There is no elevator and the breakfast is only served until 9 AM weekdays and 9 30 AM on weekends.

This hotel is fantastic for the price. People were very nice, room was very clean and spacious, free Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, good breakfast buffet, and very easy to get to and convenient to shopping, restaurants and most importantly to Krispy Kreme. Highly recommended.

We got there kind of late, but it wasn't a huge deal because check in went smooth and fast. Rooms weren't all that fancy, but had TV, cable, and was clean. Price was very reasonable and if I'm ever in Hickory again I would definitely stay there.

I don't know if all rooms are the same but where they put us the room was great. It was very big, it was a typical size double with an additional area separated by a partition wall with a fold out sofa and coffee table. Also the room was direct outside access which is convenient for all the smokers.

This is my favorite hotel to stay at on the road. Not only are all of the rooms suites, but a lot of rooms are drive up, the location is convenient (located next to highway, with a lot of food and shopping locations within a mile of the hotel). My only gripe with the hotel Is they don't even offer a wired Ethernet connection, which means I can't use my own secure router. Other than that, the beds are comfortable, the shower hot and the pillows soft. Recommended!

Hotel is in the middle of a renovation. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was nice. When we checked in the desk clerk was attentive and we got into our room quickly! The only issue is that if you are staying on the second floor, there is no elevator to help you get your bags up to the room. Nothing wrong with walking up, but if you are older or have an issue with getting up and down stairs, you would need to stay on the lower level. The breakfast was included and was good! Overall, for the value, it's a good place to stay! Nice people!
