Review of Mountain Vista Inn & Suites - Parkway 2*

DO NOT STAY HERE! This app needs a rating for no stars. If you are looking for a run-down nasty room with poor service than this is the place for you. We checked in and literally threw our bags in the room and left for a dinner and a show and a night out. We returned to settle in and the room was completely disgusting. Stains from god knows what on the bed covers, dust caked in the vents of the A/C unit, cigarette holes burned in the carpet, general trash left in the room from who knows when, and more of that god knows what stuff all over the curtains. I went down to speak with the front desk about checking out and getting a refund and he stated that there was nothing he could do about it and to come back at 10am and speak to the manager. I assured him that my daughter would not be sleeping in a room with some unknown substance all over the bed and we would not be staying there. He said again that he was just a night man and there was nothing he could do about it to get some rest and come back in the morning. Not even an offer to get someone up to clean the room or even change out the sheets for that matter. This was completely a waste of time apparently to speak to anyone. So the next day after purchasing a stay in another hotel I returned to speak to the "manager" at 10am who pulled in the parking lot with music blaring so loud I could hear it while sitting in my truck down the row with my windows rolled up. Then get told she was not the manager and why did I not make a complaint last night. I told her I did make a complaint which to her reply was why didn't you make it as soon as you checked in. I explained to her we had just left our stuff in the room and left. She replied that it was too late at that time and that she could only refund us for one nights stay and we would have to pay for the first night even though we did not stay there. I would absolutely make sure if this was the only place in town left with an open room to make sure to just sleep in my vehicle. Again this place gets no stars and if you do get stuck in this nasty run-down shack of a hotel I feel for you.
