We went this past Sunday to celebrate our friends 40th birthday and had a terrible experience. Starting with not being able to get into our room until almost 530 pm. We got to the room and the room was nice. We had a 630 reservation at Portico. We got there and the waiter kept pushing alcohol. We told him we were not drinking and ordered regular drinks. The people who ordered water got room temp water, no ice. We ordered our meals. Most of the food was good, but the one person ordered a medium steak and when it came out it was Gray. It was sent back and 30 minutes later the food was still not back, To make things worse when they took the steak back they took the whole plate leaving him with no food. The rest of the group was finished eating and the steak was still not back, He told the waiter he just wanted it off the bill. The manager then came over and asked why. He told them everyone was done and he didn't want to make everyone wait. The manager then scoffed at him and walked away without saying anything. No apology or anything. When we got the bill they told us the bill could only be split evenly. Some people had 50-60 dollar dinners other had 20 causing everyone to need to use their cash to pay. We then went to the casino and there were only 6 blackjack tables open. 2 25 min and 4 15 min. Bet tables. I specifically called the casino a week before and was told there would definitely be 10 dollar tables and possibly 5 dollar ones. There were many unused tables. When we did finally sit the dealer we had was the most miserable person I have ever met. I spoke with the floor and he agreed the dealer was not personable. He ended up getting a new dealer in there and he was better then the 1st. After playing for 4 hours betting a minimum of 50 dollars a hard and progressive from there I asked if we could get a discounted room rate and the pit told me he could get me a better rate of 334 dollars a night. Great discount since we got the room for 197 anyways. He then told me they don't comp rooms but give great points for comps. I said how many points do I have and he said 482. That equals $4.82. Nice I can almost get a hamburger. I am a gold card player at 2 different casinos and have never been treated like I was at del Lago. As I left I dropped my players card in the garbage as I will NEVER go there again.

Nightly rates from $129
