The front deck service was on top service I must say and the hotel it’s was great love the design of it and the room we stayed in.

I remembered going there in 2011 to watch the ball drop and a as always had an amazing. My two friends had never been there before and they really enjoyed their time as well. Loved the entertainment and the people I danced and took pictures with.

Definitely NOT a 5-star hotel! The rooms are old, ancient, and completely out of date. Upon arrival I was forced to haul 3 huge bags up to the 45th floor on my own. There was no bell service, no food, and no drinking glasses (or cups) in my room. I called the front desk and asked for a bucket of ice, and I was offered a bag, and was told to go get the ice on my own! Far from a 5-star experience.

NY could be so great bit it is soooooooo dirty! I even wrote to the mayor once. I did receive an answer telling me they were working on that. That was maybe 2 years ago. I come to NY very frequently. I see no change and even I see that it gets worse. In the street it’s dirt garbage food. You have to educate your people! How many times do I see people buying food, take off the plastic cover and just drop it on the street! This is chocking! Change people and clean your city!

Kids loved it they didn’t want to leave.

It is a wonderful and different experience, the opportunity to meet places full of tourists who move enjoying the parks, bars and restaurants of the area is unforgettable.

I have been staying at W hotel in different locations. Have always loved the decore and atmosphere. Recommend it very highly. Not a cheap place if that’s what your after but worth the money.

It was an amazing place @ Times Square, to visit but it wasn't a hotel; especially after coming out of a Spectacular show, 'Tina'! 3 snaps up!

So many movies and shows have been filled or mention Times Square. It’s a Must and absolutely gorgeous at night!

As a son of a retired supervisor of a housekeeping attendant, and having some very close friends of mine that have actually stayed at the hotel, from what I have heard about the hotel, I heard that the hotel is pretty decent, the staff at the hotel are very nice, respectable, and they treat you with common courtesy, and they really make you feel right at home, and I have heard that the rooms are very nice and comfortable, now I really don't know about the price of the rooms, but from what I have heard about the price of the rooms are that it is somewhat expensive, but they are very good and spacious rooms, and the service is magnificent, maybe one day, when I get enough dough, I might get a room at the hotel myself and experience a stay at the hotel.

Very cool hotel and exceptional staff and room service food. It has a Glam Miami vibe to it. Very cool little lighting and sink fixture details. The bed reading lights worked just by lightly touching it. I wish I took pictures. The sink had a water fall spout. The hotel soaps were Bliss and very nice selection. Hands down the most quiet elevators ever! We were in a corner room on the 23rd floor, right across from the elevators but never heard the elevator been at all. And I have chihuahua ear hearing. We had a great view and they had black out blinds, so we were not kept awake with the neon lights.

Very nice hotel! Excellently cleaned and very polite and helpful staff, both when checking in and during the stay. Beds were good for me, and I noticed good water pressure in the bathroom during the entirety of my stay. Very pleased with my experience here, next time I'm in the area and needing a hotel, this will be it.

One can see whole world here. Every country man I met here. Too lively & busy area. Great place to kill time.

The server was very friendly. A fee of my friends and I came in and had a few drinks. The lounge area was amazing. The drinks were nice. I had one drink with orange puree in it. I tried out the picture booth they have in the back, it's so interactive. I am looking forward to staying in this hotel in the future.

It’s been about a decade since my last visit, but it was an enjoyable trip. Plaza’ were clean, plenty of trash cans, shop keepers were polite and mostly helpful. There were a few too many homeless people panhandling aggressively, but otherwise felt safe throughout Manhattan in general.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. Nick is the first person that we met and his service at the front desk was impeccable on check-in. Wonderful room, exquisite view from the 51st floor, great overall service. Would do it all over again. Great job W! Another wonderful visit to your great brand of hotel.

Fun, hip Times Square hotel. From check-in to check-out everything was great. Desk staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Made us feel like we were valued guests and not just another paying customer. Room was well appointed and decent size for Manhattan. Would highly recommend.

Most people’s needs! My only complaint was that is was 110 degrees and some shops has their AX on with the doors open!

Great location if you want to be in the center of crazy busy times square! If your looking for a quiet stay this spot is not for you. Bright lights shine in the windows even when the single shade is closed. On the 10th floor, my room was located near the elevators where the elevator noise kept me up all night. That coupled with people yelling on the streets and car horns honking as they drove past the hotel, I didn't sleep well. Service was good. The room was small. Not the cleanest but not the dirtiest either. Robes were nice. Mini bar and amenities were expensive. Food was good at the hotel. Breakfast was expensive at the blue fin.

Cannot fault the location. Amazingly located right in Times Square. The bed and bath really comfortable and good with friendly staff, but that is really where the positives end. Put in a room which had an adjoining room where you could basically hear every single sound coming from next door, which included loud moaning. Dark corridors that made the hotel feel like something to match the sounds coming from the adjoining room. A Motel would have been quieter. Breakfast in room was very pricey for what it is with very limited selection. Basically eggs or pancakes or muffins. Maybe was bad luck with the room but would certainly thing again before returning as did not live us to the W brand.

The service was absolutely amazing. They're so friendly and kind! The rooms are to die for! Definitely worth the price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Plus they have a bar downstairs in the lobby which is very inviting.

Beautiful place. There are all kinds of shops where there are big posters with propaganda. Bright. You can't miss it. That's where they make the party all 31/12 every year.

If you are on holiday the location is great, just get out and you are in Times Square. If you are in town for work the location becomes a problem for the mole of people who transit by the way, for the slalom on the sidewalk every morning and every night, for traffic if you are in taxis. My room was spacious and always clean but they have very small so I recommend to inform you when you book. Free Wifi and good connection. The attached restaurant is overpriced and the food and nothing to it, if you don't have a voucher, out you find it much better.

Right in the middle of Times Square. How can you beat that? There were two theaters on the same block, two Starbucks on the same block, a multitude of restaurants and plenty of New York. It is a bit noisy, so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. I was on the 35th floor — great restaurants in the hotel, very friendly staff. Bar and lounge are a very cool environment. Can't wait to go back.

Stayed here for one night. Service was really great. I had a red eye and arrived at 9 am with sleepy eyes. The room was available so they let me check in! I could have kissed the gal that was checking me in I was so happy. I had a great room with a view. It was small, but that is typical for NY living, right? Very clean with a comfy bed. The only somewhat negative thing I would say was how dirty the windows were. It did take away from the awesome view just a bit. The location is just about as good as it gets, right in the heart of Times Square. I saw 2 shows. One at the The Booth Theatre and the other at Brooks Theater. Both were just minutes away from the door step. Side note: They give you a $20 bar credit and a $20 laundry credit to make up for those pesky fees hotels charge these days. I thought that was nice. I will most definitely consider another stay here next time I am in town.

Great location but multiple small things that make the stay inconvenient. Such as: 1. No direct lift to room floors. You always have to take the first lift to reception — which is on 7th floor and then change lift to room floors 2. No place to have complimentary breakfast except your room. Driven by space crunch I assume. And of course room delivery comes along with $8 flat fee for room delivery + state taxes 3. Room size is quite small for a standard room. 4. In my case, the hotel even charged my credit card wrong at the end if the stay, which I didn't realize at the moment. Later, had to deal with their finance department, which was quick to rectify the mistake but something that shouldn't have happened at the first place.

Hotel is quite ok. Very friendly staff but very thought for young audience. Although we are young we like it rather more quiet. Great location and very friendly staff. But please do not smoke in the entrance area that is not at all like seen.

Love the hotel's lobby lounge (upstairs). Very classy and hip. DJs spinning good music. The hotel is very chic and modern. Can get a bit pretentious at times, but have had both chill and fun times there.

W New York is a perfect hotel for a weekend stay in time square. W is right in the middle of time square. Wake up in the morning and grab some starbucks right across the street before you head out on the town. Valet is very easy, but Self Parking is difficult. When self parking look for cheap parking and get a cab to hotel. Hotel is beautiful, very modern, upscale.

Right on Times Square, clean and center of everything. Rooms have a very modern-metro decor, gym and amenities was very nice. My only "issue" was the lounge. It was open to the public every night and very crowded and basically turned into a mini club. It made the lounge and seating unavailable to us and most every other resident. Wish I could have enjoyed to lounge with my wife!

My stay at the W Hotel was made incredible by the way the staff makes you feel. The front desk called me by name each time I entered the lobby. My room was cleaned by a caring staff. Even the doormen took excellent care of us. The restaurant was also amazing.

We went to a friend's suite for some drinks and to relax. The hotel surprised me as a New York resident as to how nice the suites are. Noisy as in we could hear lots of noise from outside the window. But lovely room, well furnished with a comfortable sofa. Would recommend the suite at least.

Well-located Hotel in the Times Square of NY, so imagine the views, with good restaurant and spa, plus bar with cocktails. Highly recommended and fashionable since 10 years ago in Manhattan.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Can't get a better location than right around the corner from the best place on Times Square. The price is high for the room though. Strange bathroom too where you can see the person using it through the shaded glass. Registration went well and they were helpful but next time we would for sure look for lower priced hotel a block or so away.

Perfect location especially for those who stay little time in NYC. The hotel is able to meet the needs of any traveler. We recommend it.

Cons: Rooms lack robes, slippers and coffee maker. The windows have only a blackout shade, so it's either all the light or nothing. The bathroom is only set aside by thin pieces of frosted glass and a sliding door. Not much privacy if you are travelling with others. The bed is maybe 6/10. Ordered a glass of white wine and a gin & tonic at the hotel bar and it came to $34. Ouch. Pros: location can't be beat for theater trips. Hotel staff has been friendly. Lobby has a very modern and fancy feel to it.

As expected, W times square is chic and upscale, right in the heart of all the action on Times Square. For a tourist there may be no better place to stay than times Square. The lobby and the bar of the hotel was particularly impressive. My overall experience was comfortable overall. However, here are the negatives — I was surprised to see that there was no coffee maker in the room :/. Another gripe I had was the blinds are these Opaqe up-down curtains and for all practical purpose, either you are have to pull them all the way up and give a full view into your room from the surrounding buildings, or pull them down and have no natural light come in. Translucent layer of drapes would have been nice that gives some sense of privacy without cutting out all the natural light. For a ritzy hotel chain, they should have considered this.

Great staff and location. The view is also amazing. The only downside, which is not the hotels fault, is it's extremely busy in the area. Just need ready for heavy crowds. However, the location makes it great to get anywhere.

Location is A1 — The atmosphere is very cool and funky. I loved the vibe the staff gave you and the rooms were very nice and well appointed. We had a room on times square which was quite noisy. I would stay again but not on the time square side.

This is a very nice, modern hotel right in the heart of the Times Square area! The rooms are stylish yet cozy. I loved walking in and being welcomed in by the rushing water on the ceiling. When you get in the elevator, look down because the welcome mat will greet you with the time of day, Good morning, Good afternoon and Good evening. Wow someone changes the elevator mats twice a day. Such great attention to detail! There is some noise from the streets and of course lots of lights if you are facing Times Square but well worth it. The view and rooms are awesome!

I have always love the vibe at W, and this is no different. Location wise; it is right on Times Square, which means getting to all the broadway shows are really easy; as well as to the Starbucks across the street and the M&M store diagonally across. It's near the TKTS booth, and to everything Times Square. But being on Times Square means you have to also content with the noise of Times Square during the night. Didn't really bother me much, but could be an issue for some. Ambience wise is as per a W. Hip. Happening. Party. Almost nightly while I was there, the lobby bar seems packed with people (a wedding perhaps! ) and being in the midst of it all in Times Square kinda make you feel like not going to bed and just get up and party. Room: Was clean and what I have always liked about W is the thoughtful use of space. The rooms may not be as big as I would like it, but the one things are arranged, didn't feel very cramped at all. I had a family of 4 in the same room (double bed) and it was comfortable. All the amenities was there and it was nice. View: We had the view towards Broadway and can see some parts of Times Square. It's nice, but I think I would have loved the view from the other side, which is of Times Square itself. Staff: The staff there are really friendly and helpful and I must say, more friendly and helpful than a lot of hotels I've stayed in. So this is a big plus point for me; especially when I have a family with young children.

Great location. Great, accommodating staff. Lobby where you check in is very noisy at night as there is a mini club/bar in the same area. We were in room 3809 (38th floor). No noise issues. Only CON's were A) The room was a little warmer than I expected during the day (thermostat read 65 degrees but it felt between 70-75). At night it was fine. B) There was no restroom counter space. Not a big deal for me but there was no space for my wife's make up, etc. All in all, great location, staff, and room decor. Would stay again.

Very disappointed that my room wasn't ready when I arrived to check in (as the rude front desk attendant told me). It took a message to the Starwoods Twitter account to make a room available. Almost 2 hours later, I did receive an upgraded room (just on a higher floor) which has a good view of north Broadway. The room is nice, but don't expect lots of light or a clean hallway. The housekeeping carts and vacuums are in the hallway at all times. This is the first (and probably last) time staying at this location as it just isn't up to the standards of other W hotels that I have stayed in.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Times Square and provide easy access to Manhattan. This hotel is very expensive and not your ideal hotel if you're on a budget. Just remember Location, Location, Location, you pay for comfort here. It's very hip, very clean, and very cozy. Overall a fantastic hotel with a lot of amenities.

I'm bias because I've been a fan of the W brand for a long time. This hotel centrally located, not too expensive and very hip! The bar isn't as happening as some of those other Ws, but you have so many choices in walking distance that it never bothered me. I've stayed there many times and hope to do so again soon.

If your looking for somewhere right in the heart of Times Square that is fancy and high end, The W Times Square is the place to stay. We got lucky enough to book to Presidential Suite at the top floor over looking the city and it was worth the extra bucks!

The hotel is modern, trendy and very loud. The reception desk is just off the bar area and is noisy. The rooms are clean, minimal and in fairly good condition. The location is very convenient but rooms facing Times Square are louder and can't stop all the light from coming in, even with blackout shades.

Celebration in the heart of New York Times Square with the perfect view for tourists in NY. W New York Times Square is an oasis away rom the chaos of the busy street. Rooms are comparable to most USA W Hotels. Perfect place to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday!

I had been staying at W Times Square due to business meetings. Our company has actually pre-paid my room/tax/Wi-Fi, however didn't know why the hotel had wrongly charged my credit card for the room charges and tax again, now turned out to be quite nasty situation as they refused to refund the exchange rate difference. The attitude of staffs are not professional, I was expecting W as the member of SPG group, it would be better than I expected. My suggestion to all travelers staying at W is pre-paid your room then don't give them your credit card as deposit. Let them to lock the mini-bar, what they are going to charge for the deposit is USD25 per room per night. Don't expose your credit card detail to the hotel as they are not very honest to the customers.

Booked a corner suite told them I would be arriving via red eye at 8am as it showed on my paperwork, arrived to hotel greeted by two horribly rude receptionists that told me the only room they had was a tiny room with double bed, I took it as I hadn't slept, once I got to the room it was horrible, tiny nasty tub, gross carpets, furniture from Ikea as soon as I went to bed the jackhammers started on their lower lobby rehab that resonated throughout my room like a fish tank thumped on by a terrible child, I called the front desk they said there are no other rooms and nothing they could do about the noise. I showered and left the hotel. I returned at 3am laid down in my hobbit bed to be awaked at 5am by jackhammers, I called the desk again they said theres nothing they could do. They charged me $550 bucks for a room I was tortured in for 3 hours even if the noise wasn't an issue, the rooms are God awful, I'll being staying at the Plaza next trip. What really sucks is I'm a Starwood Resorts owner and The W is owned by them, the W in DC is awesome, this W, horrible in all aspects, avoid like the plague. This review is real not like the paid for reviews you'll read before and after for this hotel. Sorry for typos etc sleep deprived, trying to help others avoid this dreadful fish tank.

They are undergoing some construction right now. I trust it will be beautiful when it is finished. The staff did their best to ensure a good guest experience. We experienced some what I would call minor issues during our stay. When we brought them to the attention of management — they owned the issues and remedied them in a prompt and complete fashion. Their response "wowed" me and changed my feelings about the visit.

The people who work here were so professional and kind and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Clean and beautiful rooms! Loved it can't wait to go back.

STAY HERE IF YOU DARE! My husband and I stayed here last week with our son. My husband was in town on behalf of his firm ERNST AND YOUNG to meet with clients. His firm made the reservation. We called to see if we could get a Nanny service to watch our son. We were recommended the Nanny Guild (they were GREAT) and also was told they were not liable and the company is separate from the hotel. The next day we ordered the Nanny service again. My husband went down to obtain the Nanny like he always does to bring her up to the room. To his surprise he was met by the Nanny who said the FRONT DESK gave her a Key. I was HORRIFIED and SHOCKED and so was the Nanny. When I called to complain that this is UNACCEPTABLE to give a complete stranger a key to our room. Brianna offered a bottle of wine to squash the situation! REALLY a CHEAP BOTTLE of wine (which we never GOT! ) I take it a step further and go down to management and spoke to Janine the manager who apologizes and get this Says" It was a miss communication because she also was giving the key the night before! " I'm sorry did you just say you gave my KEY TO A COMPLETE STRANGER TWO DAYS IN A ROW! IN NYC in the middle of TIME SQUARE the height of crime! " So I suppose anyone can walk off the street and just get a key! ARE YOU SERIOUS! What miscommunication? Who gave this complete STRANGER permission certainly NOT I OR MY HUSBAND! Was her name down for the KEY! NO!

Checked in at 12:30 which was a good thing. However, there are quite a few visible damages to the carpets, walls, loose handles and so. The shower head is extremely weak and the bathroom layout design is quite poor. The bed is okay. Hotel is conveniently located at Times Square though. Internet Wi-Fi sets you back $14.95 a night which is a robbery for a city hotel nowadays. Overall a disappointment for the price value and this being a W Hotel. Would not come back.

A wonderful hotel with very good service.

Holy Week 2015. It is a perfect situation. In full Times Square. Close to all shops and theatres. We were on floor 47 and not hear any noise. Large room, we were 2 adults and 2 children. It sleeps great. Bathroom very new and clean and with details. Perfect Hotel if you do not know much English, because many employees know Spanish and they do not know strives to help you.

Great location if you are fond of Time Square. Easy to get to anywhere in Manhattan. Rooms are spacious enough, and blinds thick enough to block out the crazy lights outside. Amenities are adequate. Modern design with no fuss. Good for a business stay.

Excellent hotel, divine host to absolutely do.

After I stayed at the W Hotel and I used the therapist service through the concierge at the hotel, my back hurt for a few days. Later on, I found out that the person who performed the massage on me was not licensed to do it. I wonder if the W Hotel concierge is aware of that.

While not generally a Starwood fan, this hotel nearly has me converted. From the gorgeous check-in "atrium" on the 7th floor (it shares a space with the uber chic Living Room lounge), to the modern guestrooms with Bliss toiletries, to the onsite gourmand-worthy Blue Fin restaurant, everything about this W outpost gets it right. Tip: request a higher floor if you want to ensure a good night's sleep — you'll still have amazing views of Times Square, but won't hear a thing.

Sucks, I've been stolen there be aware.
