Excellent hotel, amazing experience.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the end of October. All staff were brilliant. I really can’t speak higher of them. The room really exceeded our expectations. We can’t wait to come back. I even got a complimentary dessert and a card from the manager for my birthday.

A NY landmark! Stayed in the Eduardian Suite. Large rooms with separate living room and bedroom. Also nice having two separate bathrooms. Great customer service.

My husband and I just stayed at the Plaza last night, 12/20/19, in room 1038 and were very disappointed with their care for customer service regarding an issue we had when we retrieved our car this afternoon from their “professional” valet service. This may sound silly but we opened our car to a missing bag of candy that we had in the glove box, and candy wrappers thrown all over the two front seats and floor of our car. It’s concerning that one of their staff would even have the nerve to go through our glove box, and one thing that the candy was eaten, but having the trash left behind in my car was just straight disgusting and disrespectful. When we notified the Plaza they said it wasn’t their problem since they hire an outside party to valet their cars. That’s very disappointing, as my husband and I just spent a very good chunk of change to be guests there for the night, and the Plaza doesn’t think they are held accountable. We trusted our vehicle in the hands of their valet service to only find it in the condition that we did. Amongst other reasons, it’s safe to say we will not be staying there again.

My mom and I came here on our mother daughter trip because it’s been a dream of mine since I was a little girl! The staff was so amazing and the door man Kevin and the bartender in the rose room Sean were so hospitable and welcoming to the mother daughter duo from Austin TX! Dream come true!

Beautiful, historic hotel especially at Christmas time❤️. My daughter loves the Eloise shop and the food and drinks are excellent! Highly recommend even if you just stop by for a bite to eat and a drink or two!

Had a dinner reservation at Palm Court; only to find out that they have a very limited menu; featuring only a few appetisers and entrees. We left to have dinner elsewhere. Rude service with an attitude from staff. Not worth it.

Our time at the Plaza Hotel was a lovely one. We went to the Palm Court for the New Yorker tea on the afternoon of Labor Day, and it was a delight to have such a luxurious high tea experience. The hosts in servers were friendly and attentive, the tea sandwiches and pastries were absolutely delectable, and there was nothing spared in making the visual experience a picturesque one. I particularly enjoyed the fruity green and white teas on the menu as far as the beverages, and among the spread of finger foods, the surprising stand-out favorites were the lemon scones, served to warm, decadent perfection along with freshly whipped butter and preserves.

I cannot say enough about about The Plaza! Stayed in the Tower room and was blown away. It is definitely a MUST! The room was very clean and the service was beyond compare! Truly my best stay in NYC! Afternoon tea in the Palm Court was the best tea experience that I have had. And I have had afternoon tea in some pretty well known places.

First time at the Plaza since the "residences" renovations. I preferred the old lobby (as seen in Home Alone) but new one is still beautiful. Loved all the staff from being greeted by Freddie as we drove up to Patrick at reception. They all treated us very well. Lovey "ionic" hotel. Very posh. You'll love it. Only crack would be the concierge staff. Never smiled. English not their first language so you had to repeat requests and it was difficult to understand them sometimes. Would have expected more proficiency given the job description. Overall an amazing and memorable experience.

Definitely Not Up To Par! We were supposed to have an early check in at 10:00, were told the room was not ready but they would call us when it was ready. 11:00, 12:00 still no room available. The people staying in our room checked out at 12:15, we were told housekeeping was working on it at that time. 1:00 no room, 2:00 no room. By then we simply asked to be put into a regular room so we could change and clean up, received absolutely no assistance from the front desk. Were told the room would not be ready until at least 3:00. At that time, we canceled our reservation and went back to the basic hotel we normally stay at. We expected far better service at a place which was going to cost us $1, 700 a night. Sadly, we receive far better service at a hotel costing $275 a night.

We stopped by The Plaza for lunch at the food hall. There is SUCH a variety to choose from. There's something for everyone. We decided to eat at Luke's Lobster and had a great meal. We also sat and had drinks at Todd English. I'd also recommend Billy's Bakery. The staff here were kind and very helpful and the food was excellent.

The Plaza Hotel has always been a dream of mine to stay at. We stayed the night before our wedding in a deluxe king. The smell they have going through the hotel hall ways and lobby is amazing. We did not have the time to eat in the Palm Court, we ordered room service for breakfast. The service and food was great. It was a little pricey for us but worth it. I love the tile flooring in the bathroom. I do wish the bathtub was bigger. All in all it was a dream come true.

We came here 6 months ago and were just here for the food hall, tried the bread pudding so had to come back for some more. The hotel itself is fabulous will have to save a lot to stay here, but will get there one day.

We went for High Tea this last Saturday. Great atmosphere, service was ok. When had the Royal tea $298 for two with tip. The sandwiches were just ok, the pastries were absolutely horrible, dry stale and some tasted like perfume. The servings were really sparse for the money. The champagne was great, dry cold and they did fill the glass up so that was nice. We have been here a few times now and it seems the service and quality keeps going downhill every time we go. A few years ago high tea here used to be a wonderful experience. I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.

Hotel of undoubted notoriety. You expect something more especially from the value for money. Clean and pretty rooms and food not bad. Recommended.

Mythical New York Hotel we stayed there on 24th and 25th December 2012 on our honeymoon I dreamed of going there since I was little.
I was not disappointed. The rooms are perfect and the hotel just as much.
The Christmas tree at the entrance gives the ambiance of the moment the location near Central Park is ideal.
I lived one of my dreams and hoped to return one day…

It's too bad they close off the interior to people who aren't guests now, but the marketplace underneath the Plaza is cool. You enter through the east side and take an escalator down. Lots of trendy, delicious eateries in an underground marketplace/mall style. You can't really go wrong, so take a look around and eat whatever looks good to you. Coffee is great, deli food is great, cakes are great. We will come back.

Wonderful! This was my first trip to NYC and this was one of the events I was most looking forward to! The staff, the tea and treat selections, the setting — everything was So So Nice! Please go and treat yourself! (It is pricey, but completely worth it! ) I Love NYC!

One of the most beautiful hotels in New York, with beautiful chandeliers and a small shopping center inside with various possibilities to eat, take an aperitif or rather make a small snack.

I went downstairs to go visit the Eloise store. It's a nice clean area with a lot of restaurants and different places to try cool things. There are nice public bathrooms down there as well.

This place is really good, quiet and the service is perfect, nevertheless Internet is disappointing, free with a small debit or paying to enlarge, this service is also lagging since we have access to the NY Wi-Fi completely free with a throughput more than sufficient:)

I'm not sure how to rate this. First I will start with the food hall located in the lower ground floor, the variety and food are great. I will give it 4 stars. For the hotel in general itself I will give 1 star. The staff there wasn't friendly at all, I tried to get a table in the "palm court" and the maitre d' was really rude and very unhelpful. The place was almost empty but he said it was fully booked. I checked online for tables and the website gave me lots of options and times. Very bad experience I had there, I wish I could rate less than 1 star.

After booking our rooms to stay we tried to make reservation a week in advance for high tea. I called first and left a message which no one called back. so the next day we called the receptionist took down our name and number and said she would call us back as the system was down. Two days past and we called and found out she had not. The hotel is beautiful, service downstairs is great. (Day one of checking in. ) My only complaints would be they gave us a room where the bathtub was completely broken and we called down to change rooms and they said they would call back, but again never did. And the hair dryer was broken. As well update your house robes they feel very old and rough. We love the Plaza lounge area and bar, but wouldn’t stay here again.

It's a beautiful hotel, I visited it and I thought it was great. Large, seemingly comfortable and very practical, with giant lounges to eat and have breakfast.

Beautiful environment but very bad coffee and hood and expensive 7 and 12 dollars.

If you go to New York, it is a place that you can not stop visiting, magical and advisable. It has a food court in the basement. If you are not staying in the hotel, unfortunately you cannot access the lobby, but you can tour the public facilities.

A whole Manhattan classic. Located on the corner of 5th Avenue and Central Park, it is an emblematic building. It is now an apartment complex with hotel services. In its basses there is a gallery of restoration with all the variety possible, although in no case the prices are cheap. Still, it is highly recommended to visit it and have a drink or a beer as high on the way before or after a walk in the park or the fifth.

One night costs almost half a fortune, but it was worth every penny! Together with our children we enjoyed very nice days at the hotel and can recommend it to anyone.

The room itself could use some updating (i. E new wallpaper, carpet, and furniture) but the bathroom was very beautiful. The room was very clean, just a little outdated looking, bathroom was clean, sheets were clean, staff was really nice and checking in and out was really easy. The car park was spacious and had plenty of room. It has a bar that is accessible through the lobby and a restaurant that is on the first floor (which is more like a loft area). If the room would have been updated, this place could easily be a 4.5 to a 5 star hotel.

The most exciting hotel in New York, so he recited the advertising in the movie mom I missed the plane, we obviously do not pernotravamo there but we went into the lobby to take a stroll through the shops visited by all tourists.

On my birthday I went to visit the hotel. My boyfriend was touched on the shoulder by a random guy in a suit and we were told we can't take pictures without permission. I see 200+ pictures by visitors so I'm not sure why we were the ones who needed permission. He told us we could sneak some really quick while his back is turned then leave. I could tell we were not welcomed there. Just wanted to experience this "Home alone" landmark hotel and have a nice memory picture for my birthday. I guess only the rich guests get permission.

Great place to go for lunch or snack. It is the food court of the Plaza Hotel. Excellent ambience and very good gastronomic alternatives. It's No more expensive than any other place in NY.

So where to begin, have just returned back to the UK from an epic 4 days at the Plaza hotel. The trip was for my daughters 8th birthday. From the moment we arrived it was like a fairytale for us both, the doorman Neil and Kevin were both so polite and swiftly took our bags inside. At check in Alison instantly made us feel welcome and interacted with my daughter highlighting it was her birthday. The room was incredible and that’s down to the immense effort made by Kristin in reservations for making the room so tailored towards my daughter. All of the staff in the hotel are lovely and polite and engaging, everyone knew my daughters name and on her birthday an extra fuss was made. The concierge team deserve a mention for the efforts they made in helping me with reservations. The staff at breakfast and lunch all very polite and kind, a special mention to Elvis for all the help and kindness and of course the biggest mention is to Tony and Laura in the Palm Court bar you guys! Thank you everyone at the Plaza Hotel for an incredible trip one that has really left my daughter and I feeling blessed, it’s not like what is portrayed in the movies, it’s ten times better! We had afternoon tea. It was a nice experience. The food was cute and delicious. I went on a busy weekend and they told me they were pretty much booked and that they would have a hard time accommodating a party of seven, but when I got there at the time slot they gave me, they were able to seat all seven of us together which was fantastic. The teas were just okay I didn't really enjoy the one I ordered and the one I wanted had an extra surcharge so I didn't order it. I tasted my friend's tea and it was also mediocre. It smelled nice but it was flavorless.

We went into the shops and cafeteria of the plaza for lunch. Although all the seats were full, it was a beautiful day outside and central Park is a 3 minute walk away to eat outside. There are a wide variety of food places so it is great if you are not sure what you want to eat. I can't comment on the quality of each, but the healthy plates food shop had amazing pulled chicken, potato salad, and tomato and white bean soup. We also had a latte and cheese cake from a cafe that was delicious. Everything is a bit pricey and some things look like you are paying double what you should for the quality. Take your time and remember it's NYC so it's just going to be pricey.

Nice and the ambiance is well worth it. Go inside make yourself at home. You will be treated as a VIP guest. I had my shoe polished, the guy does an awesome job. Need to go back again next time I'm in midtown. We sat down at the champagne bar, the snacks were awesome, the usual pop corn, assorted nuts, then the chocolate with some chili pepper in it. Wow, and it's free! I got to take some home. Ask and you will receive. Great Place. The food court downstairs, with a variety of choices well worth going there!

We stayed at the hotel! And there are no words to describe our delight! It's wonderful. Courtesy staff, cleanliness, good spacious rooms (category suites) with living and dressing rooms, nice smell, good cosmetics in the bathroom, interiors are designed in the same style. Everything is done for your convenience! Incredible aesthetic pleasure!
Tourist breakdowns have a place to be. Many come just to see the hotel. And I understand them. There's a lot to see!
Pleasant restaurant, but a weak bartender (cocktails so-so, but for America good) to the lower floors do not need to go, it is for running tourists, there is nothing to do. And it is worth breakfast or lunch in the main restaurant!
A lovely jewelry store with helpful and unobtrusive staff! (You can buy excellent jewelry at a good price with Gia certificate)

I am with my friends in New York and we find the hotel from top to bottom just perfect. It is, in my opinion, the best hotel I have ever been in, or in general, in the inside.

Five stars! Because the light numbers, there was Donald Trump and the fact that here they were filming "one house 2"

Had afternoon tea here with my wife. It was very nice, but I expected a little more for the price. Very good tea selection. Docking a star for the bathrooms — none nearby you have to hike around though the lobby to a different bar. Huge line for the ladies room. Men's had only one stall and the lock didn't work so I was walked in on three times.

Nice hotel, but a ok breakfast. It’s not worth 200$ for 4 people, w only egg and bacon:-)

We only came in for a drink. We found it to be too pretentious. We are young and not dressed up. My wife was disappointed as she had great experience before. Maybe they should consider that young people not dressed up may have more money than older people. In fairness, the drinks came with some nice dark chocolate on the house.

For 800 a night with nothing included you better have a beautiful room but this place looks like it's seen better days. Old looking carpet from the 60's, average bed, small room, no view and the restaurant is open to the public. Staff is careless and as rude as most New Yorkers.

When we checked in to our hotel they lost our luggage. It was 2 hours before they found it and brought it up to us. That's 2 hours in NYC wasted. The front desk was helpful but the security is another story. We had a security guard stalking us telling us not to take pictures. He was following us around the whole hotel. Did not feel safe at all but instead felt harassed. What kind of hotel doesn't allow taking pictures in a hotel that we paid for? We've stayed at other Fairmont hotels and have had amazing experiences but this by far is the worst hotel I've stayed at.

The floor is dirty. Under the stairs napkins, food nibbles, plastic bottles. The tables don't wipe. People like in the subway during rush hour. There are a lot of kids in wheelchairs. Crying and roaring stands if you're around. There is no feeling of calm rest. There is a feeling of a large dining room with a laksheri dessert.

The Plaza Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous. The food was delicious. The staff were all so friendly and profeasional. Highly recommended.

The hotel, operated by Fairmont, is conveniently adjacent to New York Central Park and Fifth Avenue. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious, and there are plenty of snacks to choose from on the ground floor.

The best oysters! Littlesburgers! Fry & New York Cheesecake! But above all the attention and the atmosphere!

I loved it and I was fascinated by this hotel. Beautiful for its large, comfortable and practical facilities. With escalators in the first and second subsoil for the giant food court. Don't miss the opportunity to visit it is wonderful.

A Dream hotel! Very close to Central Park! I have not stayed but I have visited the open part to the public! Spectacular!

Amazing hotel with great architecture in the public spaces. The rooms are beautiful and tastefully designed. The customer service is exceptional. The prices for the meals are over prized. Hotel is across from central Park.

Upscale bar with one TV and attentive staff. Could be a bit stuffy, for instance even moving a chair from one place to another will get you reprimanded by staff and chair will likely be taken back. Cocktails are good. Atmosphere is good if you like upscale type places.

Life of the Great and "historic" ambiance. Otherwise it's just expensive.

My girlfriend and I went to the Plaza for something to eat. There are a lot of choices to either sit-down or grab-and-go. Ended up getting Luke's lobster. Price was good, and quick. Would love to eat here again. But probably try another spot next time.

First taste of New York & what a grand stay! Beautiful 2 & 3 bedroom apartments made our stay as memorable as can be with the luxury of privacy while traveling with guests. High tea is a must and the 5 star food Bellisimo! Grand Central Park is a beautiful view in the midst of the concrete heart, New York. Loved it!
