Reviews of Staybridge Suites - Times Square - New York City 4*
The staff very friendly and nice. Always accommodating.
Nice view I love it here nice costumer service they treated me and my family so sweet.
Bad room service, poor cleaning, no breakfast service.
The suites are very clean a bit small but comfortable.
Units have complete kitchenette. Easy to cook or buy food and just reheat.
the room had refrigerator, microwave, stove, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, plates and cuttleries.
Beautiful place to stay room very comfortable.
Nice hotel with great breakfast. Sometimes a long wait for the elevators.
Great central location, helpful staff, really good breakfast (even gluten free without any fuss).
Would definitely recommend for couples and families.
Have booked to return as our stay was so good.
Friendly staff and great location. Would definitely stay there again.
Great location. Comfortable room. Friendly staff.
This was a very convenient hotel to get to Time Square and it had some nice perks, like the evening reception with food, beer, pop and wine. The breakfast was good, but the orange juice had a funny taste to it. The hotel charges you $35 to park yourself and $65 for valet. They also charge $5 for maid service if you use it. Be sure to check your bill if you don't use it, because they will charge you anyway. I loved the space in the room. The building is old, but the room was very clean. Make sure you extend your stay in advance. I was not permitted to keep my room at the last minute for an extended stay.
Overall I give this facility a 3.55
Rooms with all the amenities, appliances (full fridge and 2 burners) who doesn't want that?! Free full sit down hot breakfast? YES! We'll be back to this hotel when we come back to NY! Oh happy hour is Monday through Thursday 5-7pm (if you care to)
Very small elevators with 1 of the 3 not working. Every elevator full of people each time the door would open which would take forever. We had to cart our stuff down 32 stories of stairs to check out. It was ridiculous.
Beautiful place and very clean — в городе New York, New York.
Great hotel right in the middle of Times Square. Good amenities and service.
Nice hotel. Clean. Great location. It was nice having a small kitchenette in the room for food and goodies you bring back to the room. Beds were comfy too. The breakfast they serve is okay… we ended up going to diners instead.
Nice rooms. Sloppy management The room I stayed in was very nice. Relatively spacious for Manhattan. There are 32 floors and three elevators. One of the elevators was out of service when I checked in and also when I got to my room after a day of business. My key didn't work and so I had to go back down to the front desk to get my key fixed. The front desk clerk just asked my room number. Not my name and not for ID. She just gave me a new key. When I got into my room around 5:30 my room had not been serviced by housekeeping. At 5:55 the maid knocked on the door.
First time in NYC, stayed here for one night. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is across the street from the Port Authority bus terminal, which made our arrival quite painless. Our room wasn't yet ready, but the staff offered to store our bags while they prepared the room. The hotel is very close to Times Square, so we were able to walk to just about anywhere we wanted to go, or to any of the nearby subway stations. The room itself was spacious enough for our needs and included kitchen accommondations such as a stove, pots and pans, dishwasher, and full-size refrigerator. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on — an excellent night's sleep after a day in the city. The view from our room wasn't great, as we faced another building, so we didn't get a lot of sunshine in the morning. But all in all a very pleasant stay.
Loved this hotel. From the moment we pulled up till the moment we left everyone in the staff went over and above to make us feel welcome and loved. The valet was just phenomenal. The front desk people stupendous. The breakfast crew just fantastic. One of the best was the last who was bartending. She was engaging, entertaining and made us feel like we were her best friends. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
Beware, this place scams you! When we checked out, we were charged a $15 room cleaning fee per night for three nights. We were not told that there would be a room cleaning fee! We booked on Expedia and there was no mention of this fee. Nor did the hotel tell us about this fee when we checked in. And our room was cleaned WITHOUT us asking. If you are planning on charging for room cleaning, NOT cleaning the room should be the default. If it is a paid service, you should have to ask for it. They scam you out of your money by having them clean your room without you knowing or asking for it then charge it for you. BS! Further, our room was only cleaned one time, not three. By chance we had the 'do not disturb' sign on two of the days when the cleaners came by. But (since room cleaning is the default and they are scamming you out of your money) they assumed it was clean because the staff checked it off… which was a lie! And when we called them out on this BS, they were very rude about it! Beyond this POOR service, the beds are not comfortable and you spend your day either waiting for or on the elevator.
Wow, this place was the cat's meow. I love the rooms. They were comfortable and very very updated and luxurious. The concierge and the front desk were amazing. They stored our luggage while we waited to check in and promptly phoned me when we were able to get our rooms. I like that I didn't have to keep checking back. I like that they had the Little Pantry available for my late night snacks. Only two blocks from Times Square. Kudos Staybridge!
The best place to stay in NYC. It’s so close to everything, the staff are helpful and friendly. Our apartment overlooked the Empire State Building.
It’s the place to stay.
I only gave three stars because they tried their best to fix the air conditioning unit to some avail. This went on for two days. They tried their best. Second time with this company and not truly satisfied with the stay again… Holiday Inn family need to get it together … before you end up bought out by your competitor.
It was ok. We came for our honeymoon and Was promised a room with a view and the “view” was of a brick wall. Disappointing. Breakfast was terrible. We stayed here specifically for the morning breakfast as we had many tours to head to and also didn’t want to spend extra money but ended up having to every day or wait until lunch. The breakfast was totally empty and so picked over by 8am… every morning (4 days). We tried all the different spots they serve breakfast level one and basement and it was the same. Every time barely any food left at all except bagels and cold eggs. One day there was pancakes but they were almost black and the ones that weren’t totally black were so hard we couldn’t cut into them. Such a let down. Elevators aren’t great, takes 20 minutes to get from top floor to the 1st floor. We won’t be back next time. Only plus was housekeepers made the bed and picked up our room daily and I appreciated that. Also front desk was rude. Overall wouldn’t recommend for similar price you can find a better hotel.
I liked the location and how clean the room was. It's really close to Times Square and other popular restaurants. Also the breakfast was good and fulfilling! The only downside to the hotel is rooms are closely placed so opening and closing of other door is clearly heard even inside the room. Otherwise, staying here was great and I really enjoyed the stay.
Not bad but various details to improve.
The Hotel is pretty standard. The rooms are clean and the room service is good. They have a pretty nice fitness room with free weights and a cable trainer. The hotel is located centrally.
The Wifi is free but pretty bad. A lot of disconnects and it is pretty slow and inconsistent.
All in all a recommendable stay.
The room was small but very nice. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was a full buffet with lots of options and was delicious. We parked our car with the valet but just wanted to walk around the city after checking out. The hotel let us leave our bags with them all day. The staff was friendly. All and all excellent hotel. I would definitely stay again.
Good location. Room equipped with kitchenette. By cons Deco a little outdated. Breakfast was good. And the elevators are also problematic.
Very good. Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, good sheets and towels, kichinette very complete, and very good attention.
Great location, clean, quiet, highly recommended. Breakfast 1a, I would book again and again.
Room clean Service 1a, kitchen fully equipped dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee every day fresh in the room. I'm very happy.
Stayed two nights, friends had the adjoining suite. While the rooms were not large, there was enough space for four adults to be comfortable. Front desk staff was knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. Though the breakfast was a little above the standard buffet you see so often, the dining areas were crowded, tables hard to find and clean tables non existent. The hotel was a few block walk to Times Square through what I would consider a safe area. It fit our needs fine. 359$ Both nights taxes and surcharges included.
Excellent hotel, very well located, full breakfast and a brunch three times a week with which you can dine, but want to leave in the room has full kitchen and a large TV.
The employees are very attentive and attentive to our needs, it is a bit expensive but if they can afford it it's worth it.
Superb location on the 40 Rd Avenue Time Square. 200 m from the subway. Spacious room. Watch out for the Wi-Fi bug sometimes.
I LOVED staying at this hotel. The service was exceptional. The manager Elizabeth was extremely helpful and patient with me, took out all my doubts and answered all my requests. That made all the difference in my trip. ;) I arrived early at the hotel, around 10am and my room was cleared. The room is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very varied and also has happy hour from Monday to Thursday, with wine, beer and food. The location is great, and has an entrance to metro 200 mt from the hotel (on the same sidewalk). They keep their bags at no cost after checking out. I still had a 12-hour connection in NYC at the end of my trip and was no longer staying at the hotel, but Elizabeth still allowed me to leave my bag on board the hours I was in town. Tell me if this kind of attitude does not go beyond expectations? Usually hotels make everything difficult and do not usually make exceptions. In this case they did everything to make my trip easier and made my stay in NYC even happier. I highly recommend it and next time I will return to this hotel. Elizabeth, thank you for your patience and unmatched attention to me! Eternally grateful!
Great week-long stay. The breakfast bar is complimentary and very nice. You get a complimentary drink at certain days of the week. We were greeted by a guitar-playing employee that was very helpful in getting us settled. Only thing was that the elevators were a bit slow. If staying here, stay on a lower floor to help with this. Otherwise great stay.
Ideal location, good connections and ideal the theme Q has kitchen, very complete room and kitchen.
Very nice apart. Great location Only need more sweet offer in breakfast.
Located in front of the Port Authority, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, three times in n the week from 5 pm to 7pm one social hour with lunch, free reception of mail packages, very attentive staff and willing to solve the inconvenience that arose. I would go back to the same hotel without hesitation! Highly recommended!
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… I LOVED staying at this hotel. The service was exceptional. The first room we had faced a brick wall and an ally with garbage cans. We asked to be moved and though they stated they were overbooked they moved us to a room with a partial view. The rooms were pretty sparse and basic but the manager was helpful and amazing, and the location made it possible for us to walk all over and around Times Square.
Was phenomenal! See images. Had most necessary items also in the kitchenette. Extra pillows and throws. Plenty space. They even had a special where they served food and drinks for happy hour all month in January. Room was clean. Only little minus was the bathroom glass doors could have been cleaned better. Otherwise enjoyable stay.
Really a super hotel with top views — especially the location. All means of transport were directly on site. Only the seating at breakfast were a bit too shallow.
I was there for two consecutive years Innoccasiine of the marathon of New 2016 and 2017. The rooms are very small. The breakfast in the morning buffet is great and they also allow you to prepare something to take you away for lunch. The morning of the cooking Marathon open from 5! Perfect for marathon runners.
Amazing staff! Always helpful and always polite! I stay here for work and pleasure when in NYC! Breakfast every morning and weeknight apps and drinks are a nice benefit! Rooms are of a real decent size for NYC and are recommended for extended stays. Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of all major subway stations and landmarks. Really need to check them out when considering a stay in the big apple!
I stayed for 3 nights and I have really enjoyed my time here. The check in was super fast and the lady at the front desk was very nice. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet and also serve complimentary snacks and drinks on a couple of nights. The room was clean and modern, I loved the bathroom and particularly the close up mirror. My room had a huge window and the view was okay, nothing spectacular. The room also had a kitchen with a full size fridge and freezer, a microwave, toaster, kettle, stove top and a dish washer! It came with tons of China and even pots and pans. Wish I had stayed longer to really get a use out of all the great equipment. The hotel is in walking distance to Times Square, it takes you about 5 to 10 minutes and the area around the hotel is always busy, so I never felt unsafe walking alone between Times Square and the hotel. The only real downside (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was that my room was in front of the elevator and it was constantly beeping. Also the fridge just randomly made noises which was very distracting at night. All in all I would always recommend this hotel and definitely come back next time I'm in NYC.
Excellent! Breakfast very complete
Attention fabulous. All of his staff! Happy hour Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 7 to 19: sensational free laundry facilities… would always!
Very disappointed with this hotel, waiting time elevators on average 10 mins, breakfasts without any interest, no good products, fridge and heating that make a plane reactor sound, outdated bathroom, staff not at all to customer services makes believe That some person who put good opinions does not travel much to compare single positive point the geographical location.
Hotel a little tired! Breakfast not very attractive! Not a lot of choices. Noisy air conditioning as well as the fridge during the night. Good location to visit Manhattan and the small in case of 5pm to 7pm is nice.

Excellent apart hotel, their suites are equipped with full kitchen. It is very cute and comfortable. Has a very good free breakfast and there is available coffee and tea throughout the day for guests. Every day they leave a bottle of water to half a pint in the room. Perfect! I loved it! View from the window of the Empire State!
It is a very good hotel, is conveniently located. Close to everything. In addition you can cook and there are grocery stores nearby. Yes, the elevators tend to atocharse in the times of the breakfast, so that you should have patience.
Hotel is nice but the food is cold.
The hotel is overall very good, especially because of its super central location. Especially the bed in the room was hammer. The wardrobe was far too small for two people. Drinks that can be bought downstairs are super expensive in addition, a mistake was made at the front desk so that we had to pay the money twice, once through the travel agency and once it was debited from the credit card without prior notice. We're still going to fix it. Otherwise the staff is very nice, the rooms very clean and the internet also works perfectly. With the TV we had some problems, but a technician showed us how it works.
A nice hotel but the breakfast is poor!
It is a very good hotel, the location is excellent, the attention good, I liked visintenlo.
The staff is amazing: always kind and helpful. The best is the location : is close to everything! You will no spend anything om bus, metro or taxi. Plus the breakfast buffet is good and you can grab extra frut or yogurt for later. And in the afternoon they have like a happy hour where you can have a soda and sandwich or a glass of wine for Free! Extra savings! Love this hotel.
Excellent location, it is a place with good services, the rooms have a kitchen and a refrigerator. Good breakfast. Very good quality for the price.
Very good relation price / product.
Great place! Right now I'm here and it's very good, I recommend.
Excellent Hotel in all respects. Ideal location, few minutes walk from Times Square, subway stations, Port Authority, shops, warehouses and different types of restaurants. Large rooms, comfortable, clean always and very complete. Have beds super comfortable and spacious, fully equipped kitchen with utensils, stove, coffee maker with complimentary coffee every day, dishwasher and refrigerator large, and full bathroom with amenities free. It has free Wi-Fi in the entire building. The breakfast is very complete, varied and with fresh food and high quality, as the service of snack is offered from Tuesday to Thursday in the afternoon. In addition, there are service of free coffee and tea 24 hours a day. The staff is multilingual, and is always willing to help or resolve any issues or concerns that you may have the passenger and advise the same about what to do or how to get to attractions or places of interest in New York. In addition, she is always very friendly and provides personalized attention to each and every guest, making the stay even more warm. It offers free laundry service, and rooms are cleaned daily. There is a small pantry which is open 24 hours that sells food and basic items. Despite being very busy, the elevators are insufficient to carry all the passengers without delays.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Small but well kept rooms. I felt like it was very clean. Especially the bedding was white, crisp, and it has a small efficiency kitchen. Including an apartment size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, stove top, dishwasher… cabinets with utensils, plates, glasses pots. Close to Lincoln tunnel, fair walk to Times Square and Hells kitchen, perfect walk to enter the North part of High-line. Serving a nice breakfast buffet in 3 areas of hotel as well as a nice 5 pm selection of drinks and finger snacks. Enjoyed and would return.
Excellent location, close to everything, room very comfortable and clean. The next time you go to new York is where to stay.
Excellent the care. The rooms very comfortable and the breakfast very complete.
Very good location just a few steps from Times Square. Nothing to say: Clean, quiet, and with a kitchenette. We always come back here when we come to NY!

Rooms clean and large … Breakfast sufficient, also for the German appetite, something can be found if you don't just want to have breakfast … All very friendly and helpful.
It was very small and the staff were very friendly. Slow and insufficient lifts compared to the clientele.
Rough cleaning.
However, excellent location, a 5 minute walk to Times Square and opposite the Metro.
First say q the staff is very friendly and care about in every moment of your stay to be pleasant, but the hotel has some shortcomings that, for 225 euros per night, does not seem to me to be acceptable. Breakfast is included for everyone, although it is not great thing: bread of three types, cereals, eggs with bacon and potatoes and little else; there were no croissants or pastries. The coffee is good. It is USED. If you want a good one go to the Starbucks in the bus station which is just across the street and order a Double Shot Expresso. On the other hand the hotel has 3 elevators (staff and customers) and 32 floors with 10 rooms each. This means that in high season they come down to breakfast some 600 people. They have three dining rooms, but the wait time for the elevators is high. When you ride down to breakfast never turn up for things, you would lose a lot of time. It is very well located, close to everything, but it's an area with quite a lot of begging, dirt, and tourism. It is like staying in the Plaza Catalunya of Barcelona. The rooms meet expectations, with a fridge, coffee maker and amenities of a small apartment. The bed is rather small but comfortable and the sink is very good (amenities included). In short, if you want to be in "all the heart", this is your hotel. We do not think q let's go back but only because of the location; now that we met NYC, we prefer neighborhoods such as SoHo.
Hotel is located two blocks away from Times Square. 20 minute walk to American Museum of Natural History and Central Park. Service is awesome. Beds and pillows are so comfortable and the concierge helped us with everything. We had never been to New York and they helped us plan the whole trip for the whole week we were here. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Not much of a view unless you like starting into other buildings. The room was nice, the shower was weird to say the least. It doesn't come with a tube they basically just put a curtain up and a drain into the floor in the bathroom. They have nice offerings at the hotel. Special nights with free food and wine and beer. It was okay.

Perfect! It's a mini apartment! Clean, safe and convenient is this hotel. Staff treat you very professionally and friendly. My rooms in the past have been quiet. There is a full kitchen with a full sized fridge, oven and microwave. Pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils are there I had a King sized bed, a view and a huge tv. The bathroom was clean and ready for use. There is a shower rather than tub. I'm fine with a shower as long as I have that kitchen.
We thought it was a fantastic place to stay! The staff were very friendly, helpful and when the fan in our bathroom stopped working, the guy was in our room on the 22nd floor within 5 minutes of us calling the front desk! How's that for service! Nothing was a bother — you just had to ask. Free breakfast everyday, happy hour usually tues, wed and Thursday between 5-7, with free drinks — beer (on tap to pour your own) wine, and of course soft drinks. They also have free food like mac and cheese, salad etc. And it changes depending what day it is. It was walking distance to Times Square and most places we neede to go including hop on, hop off buses, food places etc. Would love to come here again and stay here. Thank you Staybridge Suites and staff. Much appreciated!
Hotel highly recommended. Monday to Thursday, Coffee free, refrigerator, kitchen, coffee maker, dishwasher in the room. Receiving economic packages from Amazon. Prime location. Patience with the times of the elevators only. Barbarian!
Good location and very close to most attractions. Our double room for four adults was on the small side. One of the beds was propped up close to the air-conditioning unit which was loud and very cold for the person sleeping next to it. On two occasions we were not supplied with the correct amount of towels and took time for them to arrive once the call was made. Breakfast is good and although there were many guests there are three dining rooms to chose from (one is located in the basement). Great complimentary drinks and snacks available after 6pm on weekday nights.
Basic and clean with subway at 100 meters. The studios offer a viable alternative to the expensive diners out American albeit ensuring thanks to the great location the easy reach of the pulsating heart of Manhattan's "Times Square" for a after dinner. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Fabulous beds. They could only give a little more panache to breakfast… it is always said that the good morning you see from the morning…
Excellent, I never attended better. Very good breakfast, coffee all day free, and brunch from Monday to Thursday with beer included. The rooms are large and spacious, the beds very comfortable and above take you to the room what you ordered for free from the internet!
The staff was extremely helpful, polite, and friendly. They watched our luggage after check out and provided transportation to the airport. Our room had a great view and was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others.
We had a very good. Complete rooms with kitchenette where nothing was missing. Large bed, great cleanliness. Service always at the top.
Very nice hotel. Excellent care.
Must-see place, compared to the subway, breakfast buffet, exquisite and best of all, a brunch for us and a gracious dinner!
Always with a smile and always available. Very good value for money. Just 10 minutes from Time Square and the subway station. Good breakfast I recommend it!
Gran relación calidad/precio.
This is the first time we came to this hotel, we think it's good value. Here room New York room, also with a small kitchen region and a foot of the refrigerator. Here from the subway's just a block, walking quickly to go to Times Square.
First holiday alone for me and my sister. New York was very daunting for us. The hotel stall helped make our stay amazing. Made us feel welcome and at ease. Helped us to plan trips and gave advice on what to do. Amazing. Clean rooms perfect size.
This was our first visit to this hotel, we thought it was a good deal. The room larger than ordinary rooms in New York, there is a small kitchen area and a full size refrigerator. Only one block from the Metro station, within walking distance you can quickly go to the Thames square. Free breakfast (here in New York you go elsewhere for breakfast, then spend at least $15 per person), since it is better here.
Nice hotel situated near the heart of times square. Very easy to get everywhere. The hotel itself isn't overwhelming so do not go expecting that, but for what you pay for its good. The staff are all lovely and the breakfast and snack options are decent. There is also a gym in the basement, but the machinery is limited.
The room is very well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher), attention to was perfect, very good location; It is a very good choice for longer stays.
Room was good size for in the city. Free breakfast was horrible. Never enough space to eat and staff was miserable. Elevators took forever so used stairs since we were on a low enough level.
Great place to stay if your into the tourist time square thing. The elevators are incredibly slow and unless you want to walk 20 flights your going to be waiting as much as 15 minutes. Also the breakfast selection isn't great. Sadly no waffles. Pretty close to the subway but a good half a mile walk to the main time square subway station. All around a pretty good place to stay.
Nice staff and nice location. The rooms are ok but nothing to write home about. There was a noise from the ice machine and elevators beeping all night. There are no rooms away from the elevator. Free breakfast is not good you would be better off spending money and trying something on the city.
Super location, great rooms with a beautiful view of price performance for NY absolutely okay best choice.
Clean rooms, good Breakfast and nice staff. What more could you want.
Gave us a good room, breakfasts are good for health conscious, beds are comfy, people are hospitable and all for excellent prices. Will return.
Great location just blocks from Times Square, and reasonably priced for Midtown. Close to Penn Station, across the street from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and just a block from the entrance and exit to Lincoln Tunnel. Rooms are small, but have full kitchen with fridge, stove and microwave. The comp morning breakfast is very good, and the evening receptions with food, beer and wine are great! With those, we only had to buy one meal for the 3 days were were there. We have stayed here at least 3 times or more over the past couple of years. Only negatives is do be alert when walking to/from hotel at night along 40th Street heading to/from 8th Ave. As you have a low-end liquor store that sometimes attracts homeless. We just walk by and they have never bothered us. The elevators are SLOW especially at check-out time, so be prepared to wait. Also, housekeeping left our room door open all day, so when we returned it was ajar. We reported it, and the hotel did send up a bottle of wine and chocolates.
Me and my boyfriend spent 2 nights 3 days there. The TV connection was horrible we called twice on the Monday for assistance and the Tuesday no one came up to help at all. The worst part of the stay was the night before my boyfriend woke up because of an itchy feeling on his leg he examine the bed and we notice bedbugs we told the people at the front desk they really didn't seem to care worst experience will never come here again!
A well located hotel close to Broadway but away from the noise.
The rooms are spacious, clean and well decorated.
The breakfasts at will are provided.
The staff is attentive and helpful.
Room was nice and clean, great when you factor in the price. Complimentary breakfast was better than most. Excellent shower, hot water, pressure. Bed was comfortable and feather pillows were available. Elevators were the worst part of the stay. There are only three and all small. Expect long 5-10 minute waits during breakfast. Caution:: Hotel messed up the deposit charge when checking in "of only $50" and booked an extended stay costing over $700. They quickly fixed but the charge held over 3 days.
Through the IHG clients in the development, a total of the ten nights. Choice of studio suits, and twins bed with. Advantages: from Times Square, Fifth Avenue, very close to the Central position, traffic is convenience; the room within the kitchen Workbench, you can make your own dinner. Drawback: bed special, recommended, king bed, Foreign and domestic, bed size standards is different; not Central Air Conditioning, noise, and wind speed are not controlled, go next to the sky hotel to see, like this; the Elevator during peak hours is not enough.
Great hotel, awesome breakfast and afternoon happy hour is a welcome bonus. Location is perfect, subway is close and you are right in the heart of times square. Very slow lift, suggest using the stairs if you are on level 10 or below. Would stay definitely stay here again!
The service was great. They set everything up nicely, they cleaned everything nicely, the food for breakfast and dinner was great. Room service woke me up while I was sleeping in late though, but it doesn't deserve a star less because of that.
Reasonable price (for NYC). Room spacious with two queen sized beds, bathroom and kitchenette. Location perfect for major sights, Times Square, Empire State etc.
Love this place, cheap but full equipped room, good internet, laundry room you can use and they seem to have non stop little events great ihg place to stay in NY.
Very good hotel at great location… Public transport is easily accessible.
Good hotel for a visit to NYC. Location is great. The room was not as clean as I'd expect it from my past experiences at other Staybridge locations. Breakfast is unexceptional, however I was positively surprised at the evening reception. Since the building is about 40 floors tall, it can take some time to go from one of the top floors to 1st with the elevator (depends on the number of stops). The hotel is next to the Port Authority bus terminal, so there are convenient options to go from/to the airports by bus (it took slightly longer than 1h to go to JFK with the Airporter bus). Would stay here again.
Dreadful location, right next to the port authority, the neighbourhood is bereft of decent restaurants and late at night you will need to navigate past all sorts of unsavoury types to get back to your hotel. The staff are not particularly friendly (or competent) ; on check in I was given someone else's room — just glad that they were not in the room when I let myself in! I immediately went back to the reception to complain about the error expecting a very embarrassed front desk to apologise but was greeted with a shrug. Makes you wonder how often this mistake occurs.
Nicely sized rooms, passable breakfast, and really close to The Times conference center. Great value for NYC hotel.
Great hotel — top notch service and staff! rooms were very nice. Great breakfast and fitness facility. Great place to stay in the city.
Highly recommended, excellent location.
The rooms are ok, but in the ratio that is much too expensive. I would forego breakfast in the future, because it has not ever tasted me. The hotel is centrally located close to Times Square and thus. It is noisy at night and you can't sleep with the window open. The air conditioning, this is however not necessary. The staff is friendly. The Internet is slow for heavy loads, but free of charge. Overall, the hotel for what it offers, is very expensive.
We were there 5 nights back in September and the location was great right near Times Square and the subway. Breakfast was great. Would stay there again.
I almost never write negative reviews, but felt so personally swindled by this hotel that I felt the need to warn others. I made a reservation through a discount site at this hotel but had to cancel (with more than 24 hours notice). They proceeded to charge me the for the entire amount of my stay — not a cancellation fee — the ENTIRE amount. Taxes and all. No offer of a voucher or chance to reschedule. I was shocked and felt completely helpless — their attitude was essentially "We're taking your money and there's nothing you can do about it. " Awful experience.
Best hotel I went to for now! Big rooms (for NYC), breakfast was good and a walking distance to Times Square! Area a bit sketchy, but I still felt safe. Awesome place (the elevators weren't SLOW) and I will definitively return! See you soon.
Could not fault this Hotel. Had the pleasure of spending 3 nights recently and took advantage of the the evening guest drinks and morning buffet to meet some really nice fellow travelers. Evening drinks turned into a night of fun and laughter. The staff were all very helpful and attentive to our every need. The location was perhaps a little shady but it was an easy walk to many New York attractions.
We just returned from a 4 night stay at Staybridge Suites Times Square. It was our first trip to The Big Apple. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It is a perfect location — — convenient to walking to Times Square, using the subway, parking, etc. I never felt unsafe. The room was amazingly clean and was quite roomy considering what I had heard about other hotels in the area. I'm pretty picky about hotel rooms and this was one of the best. I honestly cannot think of anything bad to say. Everyone was helpful and considerate. The breakfast and afternoon meal was amazing. We didn't experience the problems with waiting on the elevator that I had heard about. I used the complimentary laundry room (GREAT amenity, by the way! ) twice. All in all, Staybridge Times Square was a GREAT home away from home. If we every go back to NYC, we will stay at Staybridge again! Thanks again for making our stay so wonderful.
