Great location but as a lifetime titanium member customer service and security need improvement. Not welcomed back; not recognized, thanked for my loyalty; next in the designated elite check in line and the desk person calls three over from the regular line. WHY have an elite line? then to go in the M Club lounge the person on duty loudly asks my room number while several others, including single men hanging near could hear my answer as we were several feet apart. The last name and last two room digits should be given for security purposes. Even though elevators are theoretically locked down anyone can tag along.

Great service and close to the theater district.

Super friendly, the hotel rooms were spotless. We requested a room on TS and the view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again and I would recommend anyone to stay here!

The good news: Clean, quiet room. Customer-centric service. Great prices courtesy of Covid. 3 blocks from subway. The bad news: In the middle of Times Square. All restaurants and room service closed (one exception, see PS at end of review). Thermostat did little to nothing to control room temperature. Info: When you arrive at the ground floor lobby, go to security and let them know you are here to check in. They will direct you to the 8th floor for check in. Once you have your key card, swipe the circular sensor at the elevators, and it will automatically take you to your floor. PS: The "Times Square Market" is open, on the 8th floor, in the gift shop. They have pastries, sandwiches, coffee, etc. See pics for menu.

Since this was our first time in NY we asked to be placed in a room where we can see the TV screens of Times Square and man did they deliver. Our room had an amazing view of both the TV screens and Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Marriott for helping our first time in NY a wonderful experience.

Best customer service and very clean.

We have stayed at the Marriott Marquis many times over the past ten years. It is our absolute favorite hotel in NYC! Everyone who works there is professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We always have a wonderful experience when we are there! Our view of Times Square during our recent trip was the best we have ever had!

Beautiful hotel — the check in experience was great. The receptionist was friendly and so helpful. We asked to be located near our friends, and despite how booked they were — she was able to accommodate and get us on the same floor.

There aren’t enough stars for this Marriott hotel. It is wonderful! The best location for theater activity, access to all and every thing at Times Square. Our room was across from the New Year’s Eve ball with exceptional views. The staff is top notch service oriented and very informative. I give a special thank you to Vanessa, the manager, who made us comfortable under a special situation. My family thanks her for her kindness and caring for my granddaughter from the bottom of our hearts. She should be snatched up by the cream of the crop elitist hotel chains. Customer Service is in her blood! We loved the hotel as much as we loved New York, NY! We will be back! It was wonderful!

Great hotel, nice ambience and bar.

Marriott nailed it again for me! The best location with Time Square right out the front door. Great food, only rooftop restaurant/bar in NYC, big gym with heavy free weights, clean rooms, view, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. Michael in the concierge lounge went above and beyond for us. Michel is the best! Thank you Michael for making out experience a 6.0

I didn’t even have the opportunity to stay here and refuse to because of the way I was treated by their staff. If you can’t speak to me like a human being or with respect, you don’t deserve my $350 or more a night.

Great hotel. Very friendly and accommodating. ONLY negative… elevators are HORRIBLE! During high traffic times (check out) wait can be 1/2 hour… we walked down from the 32nd floor. My fat bum needed the exercise but if my elderly mom had been with me it would have been a problem.

Don't expect this hotel to have your room ready at 4pm. No apologies or drinks on the house. Disgusting greedy business. They do not care about the customer at all!

Located 1 minuet from Times Square close to many attractions, numerous shops, restaurants and theatre district. Room was big, bed comfy, superb view, meticulous room service. 1st, location is amazing, our room looked down on time square, gorgeous view. The room was spacious, clean, lovely with a great bathroom & TV. We loved the layout, the internal glass elevator was great fun. Thrilling & fast. The breakfast was gorgeous, great selection, the blintz was yum. And finally staff are so important & here the Marquis excelled, they were excellent, knowledgeable, helpful & just lovely. Will stay again & will recommend to others.

Absolutely fabulous hotel in down town New York. Great architecture and superbly decorated. Lots of friendly helpful employees. We went there for dinner at The View but also had time to just look around and were wonderfully pleased with what we saw. Unfortunately we had booked rooms at the Downtown Marriott, which was also nice but the Marquis is much more upscale. I can't review rooms but can say that on our next trip to New York it will be here or the Algonquin (both Marriott hotels).

Birthday Trip for my sister Constance Fairley! This is the most beautiful, clean wonderful hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is wonderful also!

This place is a bad place if you are a tourist. I had the worst experience in this place when it comes to service. Front Desk and room service are a mess. How me and family got treated at this place is very awful. This has been the worse stay I had. They don't communicate with each other and we were not able to utilize our package. I have been told so many things and how they will make everything right but at the end of our stay there was nothing done. I was even surprised that nothing was recorded according to the agent. How the front desk agent attended to my concern was very upsetting. I have been told that a manager will be reaching out but nobody did. I can't even express how frustrating it was to be at this property.

So disappointed. The hotel is a perfect location and is totally beautiful. Sorry to say on our 3rd day there, we had 2 bags of brand new clothing stolen. I had just purchased it that morning, ran up to the room to throw the bags in before we ran back out for more sightseeing. Upon our return later in the day, housekeeping had been in the room and our bags were gone. Filed a claim with hotel security who gave me excuses about how housekeeping “might have thought we were throwing clothes away” even though the tags were still on and the bags were nowhere near a trash can. Also I might buy this story if we were checking out but we still had 2 more days. Went down later to speak with the night manager who gave me more excuses and defended the staff and gave me a number for corporate claims. I’ve been trying to reach her for 2 days and have not received a call back. I am an elite Marriott member and a loyal customer. This is Motel 6 treatment!

Wow, what a fantastic time we had staying at the Marriott Marquis! So many wonderful people working here: Sue at the front desk who helped us upgrade to an amazing room (view of the Times Square NYE ball and — I swear — The Statue of Liberty. ) The bellmen and door staff were so kind and accommodating, getting us ponchos for a rainy day. Derrick and Charlie in the concierge lounge were wonderful. And Patricia sent some much-appreciated treats to our room. The beds were comfy, the rooms were perfect, and we are very grateful to be Marriott Platinum Elite members.

It’s a superb location and within walking distance from many a thing. Unlike many hotels in NYC, the staff is really friendly and try everything to make you feel at home. The staff again is multilingual and I remember a customer being helped in Chinese by a water who was very helpful. It’s above the average in terms of price but still worth it. It’s comfortable and beyond any expectations.

A Marriot. C clean and correct nothing exceptional. The elevators were designed by freaks controls, a grotesque and slow system. You have to be in line for the rooftop…

Probably the best panoramic view without paying except for a drink in the bar and enjoy the time.

Our favorite NYC hotel & they have new (for that hotel alone) vacation club! It's a 3 night stay & instead of normal rate, it's total of $399! So reasonably priced! What a surprise! If elite status, because lounge is closed weekends, we were offered room with a view — fabulous+ & makeup in other ways for it being closed. Elevator system is awesome! Enter floor desired upon entering elevator area, it tells you quickly what lettered elevator to enter & it takes you quickly to that floor without entry of any further info. I have never mentioned elevator system in my life but it's exceptional & otherwise, it's a wonderful hotel & every inch I saw had attention to detail — I enjoy their detailed approach. This hotel has it all — location's superb!

A hotel with an unbeatable location. The best in Times Square. The rooms are very good and the service too. The staff is right, affable. However the print Center is not up to par, some impressions must be paid. Weird for a hotel of that category. Keep in mind though it's not cheap.

Fantastic hotel with great views! Smack dab on Time's Square! The View restaurant, on the 48th floor of the Marriott Marquis hotel features the only revolving restaurant in NYC! Phenomenal dining experience, featuring breath taking views of this vibrant city! The View bar and lounge is not too be missed for a nice night cap, or a leisurely cocktail. Featuring great city skyscraper views!

Very nice hotel. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. They offered great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Rooms were extremely clean. Wonderful view of the city and room was a nice size space. The only reason why I did not do 5 stars is the hotel overall is a bit dated. Other than the location of the hotel, there was no wow factor about the actual hotel and room.

The price is quite high but you pay for the quality of the food and of course the view that toene to be the only bar/restaurant Girarorio in all New York.

Hardware of the hotel is all right. Location Is excellent. But there is room to improve service. I requested a fridge for my room when making reservation, but when I checked in, staff did not say anything about it, I asked about that request and was told they are out of fridge. Staff did not show any care of not being able to fulfill that request or apologize/offer any alternative solution. Then I called Service and I was told I would definitely get a fridge next day when people check out. I called next day for it and was told I will get it within 30 minutes, but it never arrived. Talked to house cleaning lady about it, she said she will follow up with it. After 2 hours still nothing. I called Service again and was told they did not know why I did not receive it but they will check on it. Not sure why it takes multiple contacts with hotel staff on one issue. There was no circling back in communication. If you are out of fridge, please call to let me know instead of just letting me wait and wait. Have a follow-up system internally to ensure the task is executed, if there is difficult to complete the task, communicate with your guest promptly. Show that you care. That would be my recommendation to improve the service of the hotel.

We have stayed here on several occasions. Whether you are in New York for business or for pleasure this hotel is located in the center of it all. If you are in NYC to see a Broadway production then this is a great hotel to be in for the duration of your visit. Accommodations are nice and clean, and each time our customer service has been good. Several airline vacation travel services (ex. United) have some great travel packages that always have the Marriott Marquis as their hotel of choice when staying in NYC.

Growing up, I had the pleasure of staying here twice: once tagging along on a business trip with my dad and a few years later with my mom. The view is amazing. The breakfast buffet is great. Centrally located. Doesn't disappoint in any way!

Horrible environment or water give away.

Very nice place, clean room and large, with a view of times square. Your right in the heart of New York City where all the action is. You can walk three blocks in any direction for a restaurant bar Pub or even to see a show. Can be a bit pricey for a room During certain times of the year but well worth it if you want to be in the center of where it's all happening. Service was excellent everyone was very helpful the upstairs rotating bar restaurant is really nice get the cheese platter that's worth it.

Shameful! The cosmopolitan at 33 dollars while it is announced at 18 on the map, organized scam but legal. The view is paid but good anyway… stunning view and addition too.

Comfortable and well placed. A few steps from Time Square and Fifth Avenue.

A parking charge of $65 was put on my credit card without verification. As a guest of the hotel, I was surprised to find this charge when it wasn't even my vehicle. The vehicle belonged to someone that visited the room but was not a guest of the hotel. I was informed by hotel management that because the person provided my full name and room number that was all the verification they needed… really? I wish I could give less than one star for customer service some damn common sense!

There's a nice lounge on 8th floor overlooking times square. If you're lucky you can get a table along the window and be in view of bright lights of times square. The food was good. We had the Peruvian wings and short rib flat bread. Both delicious. Their drinks are pricey but that's expected in NYC. perfect place to go to have quiet conversation and relax after a walk in times square.

This hotel was gorgeous. Very clean and upscale. Great view of times square. It's connected to the lion king show. If you need a car service it's very easy entrance and exit. Great amenities. The gym is very effective. You will love it here.

We visited the View restaurant via the Marriott Marquis. This was a fantastic, unique experience, and one of the highlights of my trip to New York. Not only was the rotating restaurant unforgettable, but the food was exquisite (huge, unpretentious portions in quite the pretentious setting! ) and the service was simply out of this world. I have never visited a restaurant where simply turning my head would result in a waiter immediately offering his assistance (I was only looking for the restroom! ). From start to finish, the evening was wonderful. Most recommended.

Pricey but luxurious stay in the heart of the Theatre District. Accessible to all the shows and the nightlife of Broadway. Don't like the additional "resort fee". Found it ridiculous. The food service to the room was delicious and fairly priced. The staff was friendly and helpful. The linens and bed and pillows were so comfy that I had the best nights sleep of the month. Definitely worth the stay.

A different and unforgettable experience.

There is no central hotel. Various Metro stations in the vicinity, with which you can reach all the important lines. The bus station is also just two blocks away and restaurants are on every corner.
The only wistful drop is that the Marriott is relatively expensive.
If you are lucky enough to get a great deal here, you should definitely access it.
The rooms are very large, just like the beds. The bathroom is American, with a shower tub. Everything is what you would expect from a hotel of this price range. Every morning even a newspaper is at the door.
Breakfast should be done outside the hotel as this is very expensive. The selection looked great, but did not justify the price. You can entertain in the surrounding Starbucks & Co.
The service at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Around the suitcases was taken care of both at and departure. Also a taxi to the airport.

It's a bustling full service hotel, but you can't beat the view and accessibility. We paid a little extra for a room facing Times Square and it was worth every penny! We could even see the Statue of Liberty from our room! Can't beat the price for safely parking your vehicle either. We were able to get parked prior to check in and store our bags, leaving us free to see 2 nearby Broadway shows and spend 2 days getting around midtown, theatre district, hells kitchen, etc. On foot. This hotel is perfectly located if you plan to do the same (particularly during the holiday season). Room was clean and staff was friendly, just as you'd expect at a Marriott property. The View is their top floor revolving restaurant and we plan to come back and try it next time.

Met some family members who were staying here for brunch in The View restaurant on the 48th floor. And you definitely get a view. The restaurant completes a rotation every hour. The food was fine and the staff very friendly and attentive, but it was definitely about the experience. The rest of the hotel is impressive as well. The room was decorated nicely, comfortable and had an incredible view of Times Square and the Ball. It would be the perfect room for New Year's Eve. It was small, but not as small as I've seen at other NYC hotels.

The Marriott Marquis is a great place to soak in NY lifestyle. Right on top of time square you get to have great food and awesome views. It's conveniently placed minutes away from all Broadway shows and all of time square amenities. The view restaurant offers a cool experience with their rotating restaurant. The staff are very nice and knowledgeable of the area, you won't hear "No I don't know" from anyone. All in all, great time.

Although the revolving restaurant is mythical and seems a must see, in my opinion, the views are not the best or the most spectacular in Manhattan. Prices of exorbitant food and drink and quality and quantity shine by their absence. 21 Dollars (no fees) for a plate with 3 pieces of cheese, 5 slices of ham, 4 slices of salami and a couple of pieces of bread.

The hotel is very central but despite the rate so high, the rooms are very dirty. During your stay, just tend the bed and fix the towels but do not wash the shower or sink, or sweep the bathroom or aspire. And not a bottle of water is in the room.

Lindisimo I love to visit this place excellent view of the city, on Saturdays they had buffet at very good price 22 dollars excellent.

Only nice thing is the 360 degree view. Yes because while you are seated a platform wheel so you can see N. Y. In a circle with all its skyscrapers. For an Italian the kitchen is bad. Personally I was also bad. The 200 dollars are excesses for the culinary quality, giustoficabili (but not justified) for the location.

"Revolving" Restaurant roof top world view! Located in Times Square It is definitely worth a visit for an aperitif or a dinner with an amazing view of the city!

This hotel is in a super location, right on Times Square. The hotel is very neat, clean, and comfortable. The room is very spacious, as is the bathroom. The glass elevators are very fast. The area around the hotel feels very safe. If we come for another visit, we will stay here again.

It's a bit of a factory in this hotel but very well placed with spacious rooms and a very nice breakfast.

And true a beer costs $20 though and a top class.

I'm a little confused with the great reviews I've read on there considering my experience here last week… First off, I will say the location is obviously great and they have a Starbucks inside which is also great. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. But then we walked into our room and it smelled like mildew — so gross. There was hair all in the sink and the bathtub like it hadn't been cleaned. The mattress was as hard as a rock. Looking back I could have probably slept on the floor and it would have been more comfortable. The pillows were the same except feathers were poking out at you. Not pleased and won't stay here again.

The location is great, in the middle of times Square and walking distance from the different Broadway shows. The rooms are quiet, clean and organized, they have a lot of elevators to provide a better service. They have a safe in the room. The bathrooms are really clean and spacious. The food at the restaurant was really good and room service with excellent quality. It was an overall nice atmosphere.

It was a first class service! Hats off to the incredible staff who helped with our presentation. They even provided an extra room to accommodate additional guests. The suites were fit for a king. I will be using you next year. The Best of the Best.

I went for a conference, deserves a stop for its lift worthy of a science fiction film and its panoramic restaurant.

I had a very good time at this location celebrating my Anniversary. All of the holtel staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel was in the perfect location, in the heart of all the main attractions. I had a beautiful view from my hotel room of the city from both sides of my window. These photos are the view from my window in my room! Highly recommended!

This is a crazy hotel. With a breathtaking view of Time Square from the room! The elevators are glazed, you discover this hotel from top to bottom. It's better not to get dizzy. You also have access to the panoramic restaurant on the top floor. Breathtaking!

Good super market in American style with so many varieties of food ready to take away.

The location is great. It's puts you right in the thick of things. We stayed on the 43rd floor which gave us a great view. The elevator does make your ears pop. It also reminds you of an amusement ride due to the pace in which it moves. The rooms we had were nice and the staff was on their jobs. We ended up staying an extra night which was great.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. I have a fantastic memory of this place and the spectacular view on Times Square that I had from my room! The lifts are beautiful: circular and glass and fast as cannons. Not to mention that you can have all the cookies that you want for free (for cookies however you should also go around from those parts: there are shops that make only cookies and that can not be visited) :) :)

Great hotel in the heart of Manhattan. I've always been here when I came to NY and didn't regret the choice.

Overall the hotel nice and in a very convenient strategic location. Wi fi in the rooms does not work except for a fee: it is free only in the lobby. The most important thing in my opinion is that it is not to be trusted by the staff and this is my main motivation for the evaluation so low. The guys outside the hotel promote the use of a shuttle to go to the airport stating that the service is included among those offered by the hotel, except then find out at the destination that I agree with Uber and therefore absolutely not free. Personally when I pay for a service, in this case the hotel, I would like to have in return at least the honesty and courtesy of those who in the hotel uniform are at his service.

This place is very cool, not only because of its design, but because of its location. It is located in times square, giving you easy access to some amazing shops and restaurants not to mention that you are on Broadway. It is also cool after staying at this hotel to watch a movie or TV show, and be able to point out this hotel in the background, and brag to people that you stayed here. Over all, an amazing experience.

Very nice hotel and excellent location. Love the cafe and the 'View' restaurant at the top. Seeing NYC from the top of this hotel is a must at night as it revolves around giving you a 360 view of Manhatten. Staff is friendly and rooms are updated and very clean. Right in the heart of Times Square and the theatre district so be prepared for a crowd when you walk out the front door.

The rooms are standard for a hotel of this sort the Wi-Fi however has been incredibly slow. If you are platinum you plus 1 guest have access to concierge lounge and they are strict on the 1 guest. The TV does not have HDTV which I thought was strange. The work. Out room is top notch for a hotel. Lots of shopping nearby great restaurants near by and in the hotel, close to all of the theaters, if you have tickets to Hamilton this is the place to stay as Rogers is right next door.

Wonderful hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. We stay here every year for the Five Boro Bike Tour and they are very accommodating with our bikes. Any problems are presented with transparency and dealt with in a timely manner. They had no hot water when we checked in, but they were upfront about it and solved the issue (I'm assuming) ASAP. Great location with easy access to the Hudson Trail and Restaurant Row.

Terrible Experience! Our bathroom was gross, hair all over the shower and the toilet clearly wasn't cleaned. Was over charged $700.00 from a Bar tab that didn't belong to me. Charged me twice for Parking. Took over 3 weeks to get resolved and multiple emails back & fourth. Front Desk staff became very rude when I requested a break down of charges due to the $700.00 false charge. I would expect better service for sure. David Salcfas (Hotel Manager) never followed up with concerns after he dished us off to another staff member. Very disappointing! Would not recommend!

This is one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is ideally situated at Times Square so if you can walk to just about any place you want to in the Broadway District. The Concierge Lounge is great it has a fantastic View and a very friendly staff. Train get a room has a view that overlooks Time Square you won't be disappointed the elevators are super fast and you typically don't have to wait long even in a busy time. It's a great place to attend a conference. The front desk staff is nice and they're carrying and they want to make sure that you start out your adventure the right way.

Come and live here, twice, adds up to many days. If you want to stay in Times Square, the bustle, the crowd, so this location was great. Want to appreciate many of the popular Broadway musical is also convenient, in which Hamilton is just next door. The gym is in a hotel. Hierarchy of elements. The VIP room was amazing, but at the weekend not to open the door. In peak periods, the elevators will be crowded, so if you're going to eat, gonna have a few more minutes go past. Overall, given the location and amenities, the money spent was worth it.

At first my experience here was as expected great! Unfortunately when it came to check out things went from great to just plain bad. Danielle and Farinda are the worst individuals in hospitality EVER. Farinda was not just rude to me but to my group as well. I explained everything to someone I thought would help. Unfortunately Danielle the front desk manager made the entire experience worse. I was handled like some animal and not a guest. For a manager to display such rude behavior is beyond me. I see how that behavior has trickled down from management to the staff. If you are going to stay here and run into any issues don't call Danielle because she won't do a thing.

The Marquis is among my favorite hotels in Midtown. I've stayed at it numerous times given its central location im Times Square, nice amenities, and large rooms (by NYC standards). I was upgraded to a deluxe room with an amazing view of Times Square (I have Platinum status). Very convenient location with a nice Exec Lounge and gym.

Wonderful experience. The room was clean, I was offered a veiw, and the staff came to my room twice to accommodate my pregnant girlfriend with more water bottles. In addition, they were always ready when I called the operator and had the lounge available during the hours they displayed. Only thing that is unfortunate is how they close the lounge over the weekend. They refund you like 1000 points but if you spent 45000 to stay the night that really isn't any solace.

LOVE LOVE LOVED it! The rooms were surprisingly quiet for the noise that come from times square not to mention that fitness room with a view! the staff were excellent and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel right on times square. We travel in a 4 night stay here. The hotel, everything is almost perfect. We in America live a lot of the hotel, no one can and New York Marquis MARRIOTT match. The hotel staff gave us great help, the rooms are very nice (with nice view), the hotel buffet Breakfast I've ever tasted the best. Only you can only experience here is so great. New York Marquis MARRIOTT Hotel will not disappoint you!

Everything about this hotel is perfect, except the breakfast. I was actually embarrassed for the number of foreign guests staying at this hotel during the Christmas holiday. The staff was rude, the food was cold, what there was of it, as they ran out of most everything. Having just returned from a 5 month holiday in Europe where the breakfast buffets are such a delightful way to start the day, this was quite a disappointment. Hopefully this is not the impression our foreign guests, along with the Americans took away from this hotel, because in every other respect it is quite nice. I was actually hoping the general manager would take a tour of the breakfast area and see how poorly it is run.

Of course the hotel is uniquely beautiful, as far as skyscraper hotels that overlook times square center go. This was the big appeal, and annoyance. It was like daytime outside, even at 3 AM! The accommodations were spacious for the location.

Expensive, but it's tough to beat the location and view. Nice rooms, really comfortable beds. The elevators are a logistical nightmare. Don't even try to check in early either. Also, if you're with a large group and in a vehicle bigger than an SUV be prepared to be dropped off at the curb and drag your luggage to the hotel. Your driver will be barked at by the security out front too.

The location was fantastic. Right on Times square, I couldn't ask for better! The rooms were great, very spacious and we had a great view of Times. The service was good as well, the staff we talked to were very courteous and pleasant. My only complaint is the elevators. They take forever, and I feel like only two or three are used. I can't count the amount of times we got "dead floors" where someone who pressed the button outside couldn't fit in the elevator. With that aside, it was a great place that I would stay at again!

I've been to this hotel a few times before and always look forward to returning. The rooms are wonderful as well as the location. It doesn't get better than being right in the middle of Times Square. Right now (Nov 2015), they are doing construction so getting to the entrance is a little harder than usual. I would have given five stars if it wasn't for the elevators. If you are on a higher floor, you really need to have your patience with you. We waited as long as 5 minutes for an elevator just to have it full when we tried to get on. It's a minor thing really and I'm not sure they can change it. Just don't expect to rush to your room and back out. The staff is wonderful too. Everyone we encountered, even if extremely busy, was willing to help. Overall, a great hotel for it's location.

Huge hotel in the heart of Times Square. If you get a room high up with a view, it makes for a special stay. Otherwise, its still a great location within walking distance to Broadway shows. We watched Lion King down the street.

My experience at the Marquis was a pleasant one. I enjoyed the Service, the rooms were always ready when I got back for the day as if we never messed it up. I loved the breakfast they served. The chef cooked me up a wonderful spinach egg and mushroom omelet with a mountain of bacon on the side. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Stayed here during the week of 9/11/15. Valets were very rude. Over 1.5 hours to retrieve a car. No microwaves or refrigerators in the room. Mediocre turn down service. Great view though…

If your looking to have a great bird's eye view of Times Square then this is the place! You have to take the elevator up to 8th floor then walk towards the bar. Be aware that you will pay $14-$16 per drink. It is worth it, since you are paying for the interior decor and the grand view of Times Square. Make sure you tip the waitress.

Had a great time this past weekend (7/24 — 7/26/2015). Very large convention hotel. The romance book writer's convention was in town when I was there. Very friendly group! 'Had a great time interacting with them. Great hotel in the middle of Times Square. Be mindful, the hotel is very big. The lobby is on the 8th floor and the elevators can be slow to arrive and crowded at times. But, once you're on the elevator, your trip is very quick. The transportation guys out front are very friendly and resourceful. I had 5 people in my group and needed to get roundtrip car service very quickly for a trip to the upper west side. I got a driver within 5 minutes at a reasonable price. Thanks for saving the day guys! The hotel has a restaurant/bar/lounge which great overlook views of Broadway. The staff is friendly, but was very very busy the night I was there (due to it being saturday and a convention in the hotel). The View restaurant on the 48th floor is a revolving restaurant with great views of the city. You can't see Broadway from there (you're to high up), but you'll definitely see the skyline. Ask for Pete as your waiter — friendliest waiter I've ever met in NY. That's for the great service Pete! Prices at both restaurants were surprisingly reasonable.

Great Hotel. The room was average and arguably small, but for the location, was nice and quiet. The staff is pretty friendly and even though thousands of people go through the hotel a day, it is clearly well handled and well controlled. I would recommend and would go again.

I'm sitting here writing this in the lobby, because they want to charge me $20 a night for internet. For freakin reals?!?!? I have *never* had to pay extra for internet, and I travel all over. (Yep, just called around… 2 blocks away… $161, free Wi-Fi, includes continental breakfast) Coffee system hits a new low. Take the usual package and filter garbage from hotel coffee, and add a Keurig pod. Because, you know, neither method is wasteful enough as it is! And then put the creamer, sugar, sweetener, and stir stick all in a package together, so I have to throw out 3 things if I just want the sugar. Edit to add (dropped 2 stars to 1) : I just got harassed by security. Pursuant to the whole "free Wi-Fi only in the lobby" I've been sitting here half the night (I'm a night owl and I typically stay up into the wee hours, surfing the web). Eventually the cleaning crew made me move so they could clean the space, and then security came and demanded to see my room key. I'm sitting here with just my laptop, no purse or anything that I would normally have if I was "out. " It's pretty obvious I'm staying here. It's not my fault I can't stay up in my room unless I want to pay ridiculous fees!

This hotel is really neat inside. The elevators are a little confusing and the rooms are a little worn but it is very clean, comfortable and the staff is very nice. You do pay for parking however it is not as expensive as other hotels or garages. It is in the heart of Times Square and very close to the Subway which is great! I appreciate that they have a Starbucks inside the hotel. Definitely a great hotel to stay at.

The 2nd largest hotel in NYC behind the Hilton Hotel on six avenue by Radio city music hall. In terms of rooms. Very professional! Especially the view rotating restaurant. Is the only rotating restaurant in Ny. Very high class!. I know I've worked their for about 3 year's.

This hotel is a nightmare! Upon checking in to my hotel room, I found a flip flop underneath my bed. I called the front desk, they transferred me to some department in charge of maintnence. The man who picked up the phone was not friendly at all. He told me someone could come up to take the flip flop away. But my concern is — — do staff really cleaning the room! This is a Marriot hotel! I though there is a standard! After shower I took out the blow dryer underneath the sink, the back of the dryer is covered with dust and hair. You cannot imagine how dirty it is! I took several photos of the dryer and I am shocked that this is a Marriot Hotel charging people $300+ per night. The wallpaper in the bathroom has moles and stains all over. I called the front desk, they deliver a new blow dryer to my room. I just cannot take it anymore. I request to change to another room. I have a gut feeling that people here don't really clean guest rooms. This Marriot hotel is the worst I have ever experienced! Please go to the Residence Inn in Midtown. It is so clean and the staff are professional and helpful. I stayed there four night before moving to the Marquis because all rooms in Residence Inn are fully booked for the rest of the week. I have no choice but go to the Marquis! Nightmare starts! The marquis is at the heart of Time Square, so they have tons of people coming in everyday. But this should not be an excuse to compromis Marriot standard. Try to avoid this hotel at all cost.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Ive never actually stayed here but I had a friend who stayed here. The glass elevators are so cool. You can see everything going all the way up to the top floor.

Perfect location for the lovers of Wall Street! It's absolutely awesome the hotel, everything's close. The hotel view it's not so good, but there's nothing to complain if you're in New York.

Wow — this is definitely the largest hotel I have ever stayed in. A little daunting at first — you punch your floor number into a key pad and it tells you which elevator to go and stand at. Cool idea. Got people moving very quickly. Obviously a great location. Wasn't super impressed with the restaurant on the 8th floor. Service was average and food was meh. Service at the adjacent bar was good — but they were a little understaffed. Rooms are nice — nicest bed I've slept in for a long time. Curtains are blackout curtains which I'm sure contributed to me sleeping in a few times. Could hear neighbours talking through the shower vent — shutting the bathroom door fixed that. I would definitely stay here again — the boss is paying — not me. There's no fridge in the room which I was disappointed with — and the coffee/tea offering is meager — but with the number of coffee shops around outside, not really an issue.

I enjoy visiting Times Square and staying at the Marriott Marquis. I find it expensive in cost. And I think it is worth it as an occasional treat. I stayed here before and each time the rooms were clean and comfortable. When available, I truly appreciate the early check-ins. I would recommend this hotel to a friend who is willing to spend money and want to enjoy the overnight Times Square experience.

Excellent experience, I love the option of punching in your floor and the arrow points to where your elevator will come. Sue at the front desk is AMAZING! She was my highlight there, wonderful person, knows her stuff and very very helpful. Thanks Sue, your the best. The rooms are very peaceful and relaxing.

I really thought I would like this hotel but overall my experience was a bad one. First, Nicholas, the guy in charge of the valet parking, told my mom they no longer had available parking spots because of a dentist convention they had this past weekend even though we were guests at the hotel and my mother is an Elite member. I also found it odd that when we called twice before to find out how to get to their parking garage, no one told us it was full. Anyway, after a series of mysterious dropped calls and constant ringing from the hotel, we managed to find another parking deck on our own right around the corner from the hotel that was reasonably priced compared to what the Marriott was charging ($42 a day vs. $70 per day). When we called to complain again, Nicholas rebuked the whole "we have no parking" which by then had been too late. So we were forced to drag all of our luggage to the hotel. Ms. Lu who claimed she was the manager wasn't very helpful and asked us what WE would like for HER to do to resolve the issue. Ummm, shouldn't YOU be telling US what you plan on doing to rectify the situation? Her solution was for my mom to go back out and get her car (mind you it was lightly raining/snowing) and have them park it in valet. Ridiculous. This hotel was not what it was cracked up to be.

I travel for a living and am a Marriott Gold Member (have also been a long standing platinum member in the past). So have stayed quite a bit at a few Marriott properties. Also have stayed at the Starwood Properties (along with the W Hotel across the street from Marriott Marquis at Times Square). My experience at check-in, very disappointing. Was not greeted or even welcomed as a Gold Member or just as a simple courtesy. The lady at reception called Luz, seemed was having a very bad day and equally bad attitude towards guests. I hope she understands that its that she gets paid because of the guests checking in and isn't doing anyone a favor. She asked me for our AAA card at checkin which I said I could give it once we are in the room, but she was extremely rude and went back to get the manager (Kevin Ruiz), who seems had already decided that he's going to be even more rude and un-accomodating than his own staff. Seems like he was already briefed by Luz and wanted to just repeat what she said. No customer satisfaction or basic courtesy! Is this how you guys treat your customers? We had a 16 hour flight and to deal with this kind of behavior and pay as much as they charges us is unacceptable. Will ensure that I do lodge a formal complaint at Marriott customer service along with spread a word about the lack of basic manners of the staff. If you have a choice, stay at the W hotel across the street. Much better customer service and the staff more than accommodating.

We love staying at this property. It has everything to offer that you would need to conveniently get around Broadway and NYC, though I miss their fabulous sushi bar. Great Time Square View.
