The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and it is in the perfect location in NYC.

I just want to thank Mourad for the EXCEPTIONAL job he did as concierge/doorman throughout my stay at the Ameritania. What a treasure! He helped us in so many ways. He went out of his way to help, and did so with charm and style. We were truly grateful.

Great location on Times Square, rooms clean and pleasant. Toiletries and bottled water provided free. Coffee also served free in the morning in comfortable foyer until 10.00am and you are welcome to bring food in to eat with your coffee. Concierge Jeffery was most friendly and helpful with directions ect. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible hotel. Lovely staff, extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough to help. Gave advice on which subway and stops to get off for certain things and provided a map to help get us around. Free snacks from 4-6pm. Lovely clean rooms, would 100% stay again. Made our first stay in New York amazing and definitely won’t be the last.

Excellent Hotel in a fabulous location just off Times Square. This hotel has a very friendly welcome, very fashionable decor. The room itself is very clean, warm and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Ameritania Hotel and can’t wait to return! Thanks again Nina and Harry.

Perfect hotel lovely staff & great location.

Fantastic from start to finish. Location ideal 10min walk from Times Square and Central Park. Subway entrance within a stones throw away. Broadway shows literally around the corner. Iconic eateries all within minutes of walking. Rooms comfortable and clean. Staff friendly, accommodating and personable. Special shout out to Julian and Jeff whom made our stay a home from home experience. Will definitely stay again when we come back to New York.

We stayed here the end of September 2019 and were very welcomed. The hotel is gorgeous very clean and the staff were fantastic, so friendly especially Julian, Jeff & Gerard. They were very good at recommending places to eat and visit. The beds are so comfortable we had the best sleep, the shower is amazing. The hotel is so close to everywhere that you’d like to visit. I would highly recommend this hotel, we had a very enjoyable time. Will definitely stay next time we visit New York. Thank you so much,

Great location. Kind staff. Simple room but clean.

We already pre paid our room before we stayed there. When we checked out we owed $19.95 per day Residents Tax plus sales tax plus city tax for an additional $68 which came out of our $100.00 deposit that they made us pay when we checked in.

We loved staying at this hotel. Great location and perfect walking distance to Central Park and Times Square. Spacious rooms and a city view as well. The staff were welcoming, especially Jeff, the doorman. He was so helpful. I look forward to staying there again.

We stayed here for 4 nights arrived back home Monday morning and what can we say everyone was extremely friendly and helpful! The rooms were spotless and beds so comfy! It’s in a great location! And within walking distance to almost everything! I would highly recommend it to anyone! We will be back and stay again for sure!

Omg… loved this hotel. Quiet, clean and quite roomy. Bathroom was roomy and updated. I was upgraded to a king size room and loved it. The front desk was so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay there again. Great area right off Broadway. Thank you Ameritania.

Great place. The staff were lovely. Jeff gave us a great welcome, giving us loads of tips on where to go and what to see in our limited time. Jeff's the guy to see when you arrive.

I had a pleasant stay here, with only a few nitpicks. I'll start with the good stuff first. The area the hotel is located in is great for anyone who wants to travel to Times Square. It's also right next to where Stephen Colbert does his shows, so that's an added bonus. My fiance and I tend to go through the Times Square area whenever we visit, so the area was perfect for us. We were also wanting to go through Central Park, which is close by as well. Our room was clean and comfortable, and everything like our TV and shower worked well. For any couples, they also include a "Lover's Kit" in your room. It's an added $25 to your bill, but if you're really in the mood, then go for it. Now onto my nitpicks. I know hotel rooms in New York can be small, but this was the smallest room we've ever stayed in. We nearly tripped over the bed upon walking in, since it was that close to the door. Speaking of doors, if you don't have yours locked, it'll sort of rattle whenever someone closes a door outside. The first time it happened, I thought someone was trying to come in. They're also kind of thin, so they don't block out much noise in the hall. There were people slamming doors despite it being late at night. I was startled awake multiple times because the sound was that loud. We had housekeeping knock twice in the morning, despite us saying the room was occupied. They even tried to come in, but we had the door locked. Not the best way to be woken up.

The hotel staff is extremely helpful and nice. Go visit the bartender! He is so friendly and helpful as well. When we got there our AC unit didn't work and they had someone up within 10 minutes to fix it. This hotel is close to other bars, just blocks from Time Square and close to major subway lines. The rooms are a little small, but that's NYC and we were never in our room. Great hotel, great service, great people!

Great location right near times square… lovely rooms… very friendly and helpful staff some of the best I've come across and can't do enough to help you… third time in New York but first time at this hotel and it's probably my favourite. We're in the city to get married and the hotel very nicely upgraded our room for us and we have a lovely suite which is amazing and for which we are very grateful! Would definitely recommend this hotel it's been a great find and happy we booked here, thank you Ameritania!

We stayed at this hotel from 3 to 10 may 2018 and when we arrived we were surprised by a person not at all friendly and not at all professional who was called Scarlett, it does not make you want to stay especially during a first contact with the hotel! but fortunately it is the only one because we were rescued by MAGID who recovered our file because she had reversed the rooms! Magid is great, it has always been attentive and caring, it's nice to see very professional people! and a mention as special to Jeff who was adorable and so friendly, thanks to them and to other people who make this hotel is clean, very very well placed, we will come back one day I hope! My experience with this hotel is quite good. It's location is very good, right in the middle of Manhattan. It is quite clean, and the room was comfortable both for resting and working. The Wi-Fi is good and quick, and they provided ot for free. Guests have the option to have breakfast for $18+ taxes or to get complementary coffee or tea during breakfast time, which kind of compensates for the lack of coffee/ tea facilities inside the rooms. They also offer free water at the lobby. The room has enough towels and the shower is pleasant.

Near Central Park, on Broadway, next to the Metro, this hotel is well maintained.

The service is impeccable, plus Saïd, Mourad and Jalal speak French and are always at your disposal, an added bonus!

The most: very central hotel. The big minus: very very noisy hotel, plan earplugs. The doormen are nice and speak French. There are other hotels as centrally priced comparable but much less noisy.

Very friendly staff. Especially Saïd, a smiling and pleasant gentleman who communicates to you the good plans, itineraries for shopping or monuments.
The hotel is nice without more but has the merit of being very central; everything is within reach of a good Walker… For the other Metro 2 minutes.

The location of the hotel is perfect for a city break. Room facilities are also totally fine. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, a bit noisy at night, but for a few nights it goes.

A hidden gem of a hotel, tucked around the corner from the Ed Sullivan Theatre where The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is now taped, was the perfect spot for us to stay. Located minutes from Central Park and Times Square, you will have tons of restaurants and shops to choose from. The staff was helpful with recommendations on highlights close by and on the many restaurants in the vicinity. The rooms were clean, comfortable and bigger than We expected. We loved the walk-in tiled shower! We will definitely stay here again!

Perfect location (in between Time Square and Central Park), modern design, room is small but didn't bother us much. Had free water in the lobby but we could not find the free coffee that was supposed to be provided as well. The staff were very friendly. A great experience overall for the price!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience here. We were in walking distance of Times Square, Central Park, Broadway shows and everything in between. Our room was clean and surprisingly quiet! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they even provided us with a free upgrade to a larger room. We will definitely stay here for all of our future NYC trips!

Positioned next door to the "Ed Sullivan" theatre. Two minutes away from Times Square. And two minutes away from Central Park the other way. Right in the heart of Manhattan. Rooms very small!. But hey! you are in NY… what do you expect! Clean, friendly, helpful… breakfast OK… $18 sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, potatoes + pastries, waffles, yogurt, fruit and cereals. Free coffee and iced water in lobby. Plenty of places to eat and drink and theatres all around … try Angelo's pizza restaurant next door on Broadway… possibly the best pizzas in NY… plus try the pasta and meat balls!. OK I like my food! For the price, the hotel and the restaurant, are really good value! Would definitely go back… that says it all.

A good hotel with a great location! Special thanks for the Russian-speaking staff at the reception, who responded to all requests promptly and helped in all matters. Nice room and great bed. Very close to all the attractions, Central Park, Broadway and Times Square! Recommend! The only question is one to the hotel, when will you return the deposit of $100? The hotel has stayed since 09.1, 2018 — 13.1, 2018.

Perfect service Room excellent just a problem on soundproofing.

Good choice for downtown Manhattan Sorry we did a double charge and it has been cumbersome the paperwork for the return.

If you are going to stay here in winter, do not agree to the room 504. It has a problem with bottom part with the window which cause cold in your room — it's not isolated at all. Thermostat is not helping well — we're keeping it on 26 °C and getting dry air in the room and cold water in the bottle on the table. Even zipper of jeans is cold. When leaving bed for a bit, it's getting cold immediately. Hotel stuff didn't help with this. Concierges aren't opening the door on time so can't understand their purpose there. But they helped with luggage delivery to our room in the begging. Cleaning service is very good, thank you for this. Location is very nice. On walking distance to sightseeing and nice places to eat. UPD: Engineer came second time and just closed window well. Be aware of such cases — it's not visible at all so 2 nights we spent in cold.

Central location great place to start. The staff The rooms are very small and very clean. (under the bed empty bottles, a previous guest's t-shirt, handkerchiefs. Breakfast in line with the price of 18 dollars. If you leave early in the morning ask for a shuttle to the airport directly to the reception, the doormen make us otherwise the crest.

The hotel is very modern and clean. Very reasonably priced. The rooms are very tiny, but it's NYC, so that's to be expected. The bed was amazingly soft. I did not want to get out of it in the morning. They have all of the basic amenties that you would need. It is in a great location. Everything is within walking distance, or the subway stations are very close by. I would stay there again and I would recommend it.

A very central hotel at 5 minutes from Times Square and center park staff very friendly expensive breakfasts for what is served.

It was a very nice Hotel. The only courteous ones were the goalkeepers, I stayed a week and every night they came out of trouble for the room and asked for money and bails every night despite booking online. As for the payment to me have accepted only a credit card attached to the bank account with name in relief do not accept prepaid or cash money. And the rooms were cleaned and arranged at 17/18 in the afternoon. I only recommend the location for the rest avoid this place.

It's worth it. Central location, content prices, clean rooms… Internet very expensive yes.
You have free Wi-Fi on the street, you can pass without paying the Wi-Fi in the hotel.

The hotel was really nice. The bellmen were great. However, the customer service was extremely poor at the bar. The front desk told us drinks were 2 for 1 and then the bartender (Javier) wouldn't honor it. It became quite the fiasco. He was very rude and tried to upcharge us on everything and made a scene in front of everyone else at the bar.

Sadly we did not have a good experience at Ameritania and when I tried to handle things discreetly the hotel did not cooperate. I was not able to sleep at all in the room on our 1st night, Nov 30th. The bed was too hard, the pillows too odd and lumpy, the air system would to cool the room and due to the noise outside I was not able to simply leave windows open. Additionally I have allergies and sensitivities had asked for a room without carpet deodorizer or fragrances but there was a strong smell in the room that I could not get rid of even after hours with the windows open. We were in town for a group event and I could not afford to go more nights with no sleep and with fragrances/ chemicals that could make me ill. I spoke to the front desk and the manager and told them that I would have to change hotels since several of the issues were not things that they could fix. I told the manager that I did not want to make a big deal about my moving out nor did I want to draw attention to it in a way that would reflect poorly on the hotel or the group. I moved out and unfortunately the billing department has been unwilling to work with me on refunding the nights that I was physically unable to stay. Therefore I am making these issues known to all and letting folks know that I do not recommend this hotel at all.

We stayed here last weekend Nov 30-Dec 3. Our stay here was amazing. This a beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean and not too small. Close to Times Square and within walking distance from a lot of things. Having breakfast in the hotel worked out fantastic for us. Everyone was so kind and willing to help with any of our questions. We will remember Rob from the front desk, our great doorman Ja’la & Jeff. Jeff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and answer our questions. We definitely will be coming back. Thank you Ameritania for being apart of our great 1st trip to NY.

I'd probably award this hotel 4.5 stars instead of 4 and you will see why that is later on in this review. I think this is a great hotel. The staff there are very friendly and are committed to customer service. This was evident in an issue that was resolved by the manager in an expeditious manner. I also found that the guest service agents were welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very clean which was very important in my decision to stay at this hotel. Sometimes it's extremely difficult to find clean affordable accommodations in the big cities. My only gripe is that that there are no coffee machines in the rooms. I had a peanut allergy reaction to food that I had purchased at Cascades. I had to get up at 4am in the morning to buy ginger ale at the Subway restaurant as there was nothing to boil water in my room to make tea. The hotel is in a very noisy area of Manhattan but luckily each hotel room has ear plugs for their guests. I used them the second and third night that I stayed at this hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Manhattan and close to the theatre district. It's affordable, clean and the hotel management/ and other staff are friendly.

I give 3* for the employees who are really kind and available. I do not have personnally had a good experience. Breakfast is not included. I did not like the bed, not hard enough (my friend liked it so it depends). Rooms are really small. Not possibility to do a tea on your room. No tools for that. Well…

We had a great experience. Hotel service was great. We asked to be moved to an interior room due to noise and they quickly accommodated. Rooms are normal ny size but still spacious.

We were with my wife at the hotel, the truth the location is spectacular, the overall service of the hotel is good. The size of the room is where the more problem there is since we touched a room too small to give a chance to move around and with the suitcases it is a truly uncomfortable, little place to put the clothes on.

After 1 month of waiting for an explanation of the extra costs that have been applied to us, we still have no news.
So I confirm: to flee.

Middle class hotel near Times Square. We had a fairly small room but with a relatively large bathroom. Large shower, but as in many hotels with much too small separation, so necessarily after showering the half bath is set underwater. As usual in the states, everything costs extra. Only Wi-Fi in the lobby is free. Disproportionately high room rate, even if ´ s was September. Recommended with restriction.

We stayed here 2 years ago in March for 1 night and I have yet to write a review. The room is small, BUT it packs a punch in style, and it is really clean. Plus the location can't be beat. The lobby has a cozy fireplace and the front desk was amazing. Plus for $129, it was a steal!

Hotel to flee!

I put a star for the location that is ideal. Halfway between Times Square and Central Park.
Apart from the location, the rest is catastrophic:
1/Impossible to sleep! The noise from the street and air conditioners invade the room. No window isolation. A roof for a 4 star hotel. I met a person on the spot who left the hotel because of a sleepless night caused by the noise!
2/The reception is simply non existent. We can not say that the staff is friendly Mas, it is simply disrespectful. No hello, thank you, goodbye. The employee tone is dry. When we left, we were charged breakfast. I explained that we didn't take any. The person was annoyed, a height!
3/worms in the shower!
4/Tiny Room! Barely 8m2
5/horrible decoration! The walls are dark brown, it accentuates the smallness of the room, and the carpet is disgusting
6/bed is saying for two people bcp too small! Intolerable!
7/A day in the week was not made
I note today that the hotel has unduly levied the sum of €66 without any legitimate reason. Besides their incompetence, they are simply thieves!

The location is great. Just a short walk from Central Park. Times square and all the shops. The hotel is nice and updated style. They only have showers though. They changed our room at last minute to give us a better experience but did not let us know so we were surprised.

Location of the hotel is great and the staff are all amazing. We did have a hiccup when we first got there with our room which wasn't ready and after traveling 20hr+ hours it annoyed us. Apart from that great so far.

This hotel is perfectly located. The staff are very welcoming especially Mourad who gave us plenty of advice for our stay, and is really great! The room was very comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely recommend this place. The staff speaks in part French.

Super Hotel Well positioned, good service, only bemol at the level of the chamber which seems smaller than what one reserves and which requires a small restoration especially for the door of the bathroom.

Great location for a trip in the heart of Big apple. Be careful with the drinks and stuff already provided. But polite and helpful team with good service. Room was clean and well equipped. Ugly backside but quiet. (who stays in the room in NYC? ). Recommend this place.

So my stay at the hotel was great the reason why I am giving this 2 stars is because when I just got home and checked my credit card statement they put an extra charge on my bill. Upon checkin everything in the room was labeled and we took pictures and went shopping to avoid getting any extra charges.
I call to find out what the fee was for and they said it was from mini bar. They said something was taken. I said that is a lie because I took a picture of the mini bar as soon as we got there and right before we left… everything was still there. What really upset me was when the person said the mini bar staff told her that things where missing. I explained nothing was missing and I can text her the pictures to prove it. She said she would rebate back the money and I explained thats not the point. Is your mini bar staff thiefs… or do you know that they do this so that the hotel can charge their customers extra fees and if they dont checked the statement they they made out… This hotel was fabulous but I am concerned about their staff… keep in mind this was for 2 missing drinks.
I am so disappointed because my stay there was great otherwise.
Everyone check for extra charges on your statement and take pictures of the room.

Great location 10 mins to times square and central park lovely room comfortable king size bed we were very lucky to be upgraded to a king room as we were there to celebrate my 30th but the best thing was probably the staff who were all very nice and welcoming at all times the staff who made our stay better were elizabeth rodregiz, jeff and julian cant wait to stay again.

Centrally located, stylish hotel between TImesSquare and Central Park, perfect for a NYC trip, room well equipped (we had a rather large).

Excellent location that makes less attention you to the other which is very good. Nice, spacious and very cool. The shower is great especially when you get tired of walking.

The hotel is centrally located in time square. It runs 5 minutes up to the Red grandstand. The staff at the reception was sometimes a bit annoyed, but that was okay ^ ^ super cool was that the staff at the door (door-men). On our way from the airport to the hotel, there was a little disagreement with our taxi driver for Of the price. Because the staff but seemingly knew such problems, the door men came directly without prompting the rushed up to resolve the ambiguity and after that, everything was great. In other words, the input of staff, tipping is definitely worth ;) Otherwise, the hotel was quite ok. Our bathroom was a bit small, but still aktzeptabel for 1 week stay. The breakfast was not so dolle. Little selection and a rather depressive atmosphere in the breakfast room. We had breakfast in the hotel also just once, and picked out then again a different dinner us. So for a pure tourist trip, hotel ok was real.

Location is perfect. Front desk staff is nice. I was given a room facing the inside, so no view for me. Tries to a Brita filter because water in the hotel has chloride smell in it, but was kinda rudely declined. Sure, you don't have it. But there are better ways to say that.

Dirty hotel with staff boor and unprepared.
Trip for 200 days a year for 20 years and never in my life I allowed myself to make a comment on any structure. I had prepaid 2 rooms for 5 nights from Italy in I gave up to over 2000 dollars allocated and the morning of the second day I moved.

The hotel staff is wonderful. They ran out of rooms that met our needs and upgraded us (comp) to a room that did. The room was spacious and modern. They also comped us breakfast.

Although the hotel is not conspicuous, neat Hall of sorts, this hotel is near all landmarks and subway stations in New York City. Staff is very friendly. They let us check in several hours in advance. The room condition is pretty good, but not very soundproof the wall. No free bottled water in the room. However, Hall has free ice water. Concierge service was great. In particular, Jeff, very friendly and helpful.

Hotel refurbished, with a fairly detailed decoration, whose prices are those of the area. Although it is not a luxury hotel is well equipped and above all has an exceptional location since it is just in the middle between Times Square and Columbus Circle and surrounded by several subway lines.

We had a great stay, the kids loved the jr. Suite and so did we. Location, service & cleanness was perfect. We would totally stay there again.

Dont be fooled by the pictures its one of the worst. Its like your staying in a stand alone motel. Location is good but who cares if the room sucks.

I spent with my 24-year-old daughter for 5 nights at the Ameritania Hotel. The location is simply awesome! 5 minutes to Times Square, 5 minutes to Central Park. Well with the Subway to reach, and all the cultural opportunities in the immediate vicinity. The Hotel's original furnishings. The popigen red furniture in the Lobby, the asymmetric mirror with silver Sideboards are original. The rooms are small but very appropriately created. The room service is excellent, all very clean and we had no problems with sleep of the noise due. The Breakfast bar of the Hotel-affiliated made us a loveless, uncomfortable, even a bit dingy impression. We couldn't decide there is a Breakfast eating. I would like to highlight the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff in the reception and also the men, the Luggage to manage and organize Taxis were very friendly. Unfortunately, a not to unterschlagender downside is the expensive W-Lan. This has given us a powerful annoyed. Per Person, mind you, not per room. 10 dollars per day! For three days, $ 25 each additional day $ 10. I did not enjoy 120 dollars for our stay only for W-Lan hingeblättert. This is one such hotel is not worthy, and in this time and age is simply not compliant! You call it a rip-off! In a next trip, this will be a criterion! All in all, but we had a wonderful time at the Ameritania. We can this Hotel definitely recommend.

Great value for money! We found this hotel by incident and got a great welcome (thank you Rob! ) and offer, so we stayed for four nights. Nice design and ambience, and great location.

We were on honeymoon, great location convenient to almost everything. Just minutes from central park and times square. Nice modern rooms, friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Great! Close to everything you wanted, central park and the theater district and times square. Beautiful rooms. Small, I mean, its Manhattan. The lemon water in the lobby was a much appreciated touch and the staff were great.

Plane and Simple. I travel a good amount (60+ days a year) for work. If your used to the Hilton family or similar, you will be disappointed staying at this hotel. The front desk is friendly and welcoming, however the rooms are terrible. AC does not work. It recently snowed and I got to my room and It was 79deg. Tried to turn on the AC or fan and both are broken. I opened the windows, but good luck sleeping because the street noise is so loud. Next time I will be reminding my work to make reservations at one of the Hiltons near by.

One small note in advance: The politeness and service by the employees at the front desk would be worth five stars. However, I'm reviewing our stay at the hotel as a whole. Now, for starters, I wasn't expecting big, wide, open rooms. But the least I expect, is not having to worry, whether my bags fit into my room. We had ordered a king size bedroom, and apparently they meant bedroom quite literally: It was the bed and about thirty centimeters of space around the bed. Not a single centimeter more. The bathroom wasn't any better, it was hard to fit one's legs between the seat and the next wall. I could care less about a small room, but seeing that it's the only room on the whole floor that's that tiny makes one wonder. (It was the one next to the elevators, btw. If you see it, you know I'm not exaggerating. ) Also, this was the smallest — pun intended — of our problems there. — The air conditioning wasn't working, but getting someone to actually realize that the room was not too cold but too hot was the real trouble. There seems to be little conversation and coordination between the employees. — It was dirty, you could even find ants on the eighth (! ) floor. The cleaning person could be seen on the phone while occupying a room for cleaning. — You couldn't even get a postcard stamped and sent at the front desk. You had to get your mail stamped yourself, and then you could give it to the front desk person.

I rated this hotel accurately. First, dont have their joke of a breakfast. They charge you 11.99 for what ever hotel would give away. Toast and instant oatmeal packets is what they charge me for?. The hotel rooms are tiny and the bathrooms are even smaller. Im 6 foot and 200lbs and I could not fit on their toilets. I would never stay here again. 2 stars is what this hotel deserves. I really dont understand who or why someone would give this 5 stars. (maybe paid reviews? ) Maybe if you just got out of prison this would be 5 star worth. Next time ill stick with Hilton or Marriot. Don't make the same mistake I made by staying here, its a JOKE.

At first I was a little nervous about this hotel, because we have an 18 month old and I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to accommodate him, but I was totally wrong! They brought a crib up to our room 5 minutes after we checked in and a little fridge so I could keep his milk cold. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was so roomy that we were able to put the crib in there so we wouldn't disturb him while he was sleeping. The shower was amazing! The location was so perfect. It was close to everything! You're only blocks away from radio city, times square, broadway shows, rockefeller plaza, central park, the list goes on and on. The staff was super pleasant and very friendly. They even kept our bags for free after we checked out so that we could play around in the city before we had to leave. This hotel was great.

Everyone that worked there was amazing! So friendly and helpful! The room was Very clean and so beautiful! Amazed at how quiet the room was. Our room looked over broadway on 6th floor. Thank you Ameritania for our wonderful visit to NYC.
