Great location. Very central. Walking distance to Times Squere in a short time. Or next to Broadway. Room good king size bed and good breakfast.

Very clean and spacious. Better than I expected for the price. Only downside was parking but it is NYC.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and very clean. Definitely would stay here again!

Been back a week me and my husband had a wonderful week. 1st hotel room 803 wow the view made me happy the whole week see pic. Staff super friendly room clean great base breakfast was enough to get us on the way for the day and great to grab a lovely coffee on return. Great location central to everywhere 2 stations either side super easy to use. I loved our stay and have totally recommended hotel to friends and family for a great stay and great price. Also a great little bar round the corner John does bar and kitchen do there own lager (John does $5 a pint) and do nightly food deals the chicken wings are the best I have had in my life.

Close to everything very friendly and helpful concierge I’m coming back here again.

Just arrived back to Ireland from a 10 day stay at the Plaza, can't say enough to about the staff from start to finish they all make you feel at home, friendly and will go above and beyond to help you, will be back again without doubt Highly recommend.

The staff is spectacular! Even though the kitchen is small, the breakfast was really good. Nice and comfortable beds and neat room.

Just arrived back in the UK after a 4 night stay with husband and two teenage sons. Fabulous hotel. Excellent location. We had a view of the Empire State Building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms large and well maintained. We had a roll away bed and there was still plenty of room. Breakfast was a great start with fresh pastries, bagels and fruit. The hotel is currently being refurbished, but this did not affect our stay at all. Having had a chat with the owner about the improvements, it all sounds amazing. Will definitely recommend and would book again if we are lucky enough to visit New York again in the future.

I had a great great staff nice and clean room. When I get back to Ny, I come back here and ask for the same room. Position in the middle of manhattan so you can have all the points of interest at the same distance more or less.

Great location. Clean and spacious rooms. Very close to the metro and many attractions but not in the chaos of the center. Small breakfast room but you can take food and drinks and make it in the room. Recommended.

Friendly and helpful staff at front desk. Rooms are considerably spacious for 2 guests. Room service is tidy and appears to be clean. Best 3 perks in my opinion are one, the black out shades in the windows (rooms are almost pitch black, helpful for a time adjusting traveller), complimentary breakfast and lastly, while not whole, a good peek of the Empire State building from the room view. Only downside maybe that sound can still be heard from the streets, which is I suppose is an uncontrollable factor in all of the city.

We stayed at the plaza hotel x a week, very nice staff, very clean rooms, strategic location since close to the yellow metro, which leads all over the city! Walk you get quietly to Times square! If we return to New York we will definitely choose this hotel again. Recommended.

Service was great, the staff are very nice and the hotel is very clean. Water pressure was a bit lower than what I'm used to and the room seems smaller than pictures (but I'm not from here and would hazard a guess that those things are normal for this price point). Overall this is a great value at a super convenient location! Would definitely return. Slept quite well, which is what really counts.

Pros: 1. Great location 2. Super Friendly staff with big genuine smiles 3. Extremely clean and well maintained with soft beds and big bathrooms some with good views 4. Complimentary free Wi-Fi that actually works Cons: 1. Breakfast (complimentary) is a bit of a joke. However there are tonnes of great breakfast options within a few blocks so I'm not sure why then even offer it and market it and degrade an otherwise good experience. 2. Super slow elevators and inability to use stairs. Net net, great choice and very affordable.

Nice hotel very close the Subway on 28th street. Some rooms have a view of the Empire state building which is lovely to come back to in the evening when it's lit up. There is breakfast till 10:00 AM which is good but to enjoy it you need to take it to your room. Free coffee all day!

Clean and friendly staff. Looks like a expensive apartment building. Everything is just comfortable and modern. Love it there.

Location is great! It's a bit noisy on a night but it's very central so to be expected. Shampoo, condition, body lotion and bars of soap in the bathroom. Complimentary breakfast 7-10, bagels (pastrys and doughnuts if you are quick), fruit, tea and coffee. Drinks are complimentary 24/7, of British I'd recommend bringing your own tea bags as Liptons is quite weak! Staff are friendly and helpful.

Rooms were nice, staff friendly and helpful. Location not bad if you're interested in the area, and truthully, times square wasn't too far a walk. I'd recommend it.

We have loved our hotel! It is in a great location to everything we wanted to do. The concierge Anthony was an amazing help for getting tickets to activities and shows and giving us directions. Then tonight the girls wanted hot cocoa after our cold dinner outing and when we asked the front desk for the packets that were out at breakfast they went looking for them. To our surprise we heard a knock on our door and the bad news was the gentleman could not find the hot cocoa, the good news he knew where the nearest Starbucks was! Wow!

Very good service, it is a very clean and tidy place. I do not give 5 ⭐ because it had no place to heat food or a minibar to store drinks. For everything else it is a very nice place located one block from the subway.

Beautiful room, great enough service… My only complaint was that we didn't get service to get our luggage to the lobby this morning to catch the train and they didn't let us take the cart to do it ourselves. So we had to take our own with 4 kids… It was stressful.

I loved the hotel! Comfortable beds and the room is spacious, we were on the 4th floor (serious third floor for which we counted ground floor) and from there you have that beautiful view to the Empire! Magic! I will come back to this hotel when I visit NYC again. The breakfast was very good. And you also have coffee or hot and cold water all day to take if you want. Excellent location! The staff speaks English and Spanish. All very kind. And cleanliness of the room and excellent bathroom. Internet OK, it's not super speed but it goes well to talk to video or wasp and stuff. If you want better internet you have the option with a plus.

Nice refurbished hotel, but the Heat system could have been updated. Also I've seen bigger showers in a Winnebago. No microwave or fridge. The location was a little sketchy at first glance but was close to Herald Square which I loved. It was a great price for a clean hotel for a night or 3 but I couldn't have stayed much longer than that. Would come back maybe in warmer weather.

Huge room, friendly staff. Had a nice view of The Empire State building from our room. Walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. Breakfast is very basic, but enough to get you to brunch. Dining area is tiny, so you'll probably have to take your bagel back to your room. Block out blinds would've got it five stars.

This hotel is okay. Staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. The room is spacious although the bathroom is a bit small. My biggest issues is there doesn’t seem to be a “do not disturb” option so you can’t forgo housekeeping. I was in my room at 830 this morning and heard housekeeping knocking on each door asking if they wanted service. Seems like a small thing but I want to have the choice and not be woken up each morning unnecessarily. Breakfast area is very small and crowded so it’s a bit of a battle trying to move around and get your food prepared. Location is convenient.

We stayed at this hotel for a 5 night trip to New York and loved it. The room was very large for New York, small bathroom but it was perfectly fine. Nice location next to the subway (one runs right in broadway). We arrived early and they got us into a room right away. Very friendly staff (doormen, desk, housekeeping). They have breakfast ending at 10, only made it once and they had pastry options only. Freshly ground coffee 24/7 was awesome. No refrigerator though. Overall loved it.

Just booked out of here Friday 28 October 2017 and from start to end of our 5 nights here nothing was too much trouble. The room we had 901 overlooked the Empire State Building. The room was cleaned and fresh towels everyday. The breakfast was fresh bagels, doughnuts and muffins. Free coffee or tea anytime of day. Excellently situated for Maceys, Empire and many eating places. Lovely walk to Times Square. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is great, the rooms are big and comfortable, the view is amazing — we looked at the Empire State Building from our room on the 10th floor and the location is just perfect. I highly reccommend it.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was phenomenal. The room is simple and has just what you need. We didn’t plan to spend much time in the hotel room! Everything was clean and the towels are wonderfully soft! Complimentary breakfast is simple and just what we need. I can’t believe our luck finding this place! The price is fantastic, so we were skeptical at first! Definitely didn’t need to be! The location to the subway is another bonus. We really can’t say enough about this hotel!

Stayed here in October 2013 heading back in October 2017 loved the views from the rooms and easy to get around to all the major sites. The staff was really great and very helpfully. Cant wait to be in New York for the third time.

Awesome hotel! The concierge and front desk attendants were super kind and extremely helpful. Rooms and overall appearance of the hotel is superb. Not to mention, it’s just a few blocks away from Times Square and you have an amazing view of the Empire State Building! Definitely going to stay here again during my next NYC trip!

In the heart of New York, the staff are very welcoming, the rooms are large, it's very quiet, the breakfast is full. Nothing to say.

Great location and large sized rooms for a reasonable price. What more can you ask for? Stayed for 5 nights and we're very pleased with the experience. I see others complaining about lack of amenities but why would you need all that? You're in the middle of NY! Everything is just a few blocks away.

Standard Hotel, nothing exceptional but located in the middle of Manhattan. Breakfast served in a small room with very few seating. Very small rooms Non-existent view. Advantage of even walking to the main attractions of the island.

This is not a luxurious hotel, but it's still deserving of a 5-star. Here's why — great value, location, neighborhood, size of rooms, queen beds, nice renovations, polite staff, free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, great price, and proximity to subway. What else do you really need?

Great location, clean, really friendly, professional staff, interesting room details, room art that made me smile not shudder and a completely unexpected but appreciated view of the Empire state building. This place cares about customer service. Reasonable room rates/specials. Not overly quiet but I never expect that when I stay in the city.

This is a convenient place to stay if you want to stay in Manhattan. The rooms are slightly small, but that's going to be the case almost anywhere in this area. It's tasteful and modern and comfy and the service is friendly. The breakfast definitely leaves something to be desired, but just go down the street to a local place for that. My biggest complaint is that unless you book directly on the hotel's website, Wi-Fi is ten bucks a day. It's slow, too.

Free coffee, snazzy rooms, and friendly staff. This hotel is great, but there are two major problems with it. 1) the 24hr room service is actually provided by a terrible restaurant with terrible service, terrible food, and terrible prices called Cafe 28. It's not actually 24/7 because most of the menu is not available for most of the 24 hours and almost the entire menu is pre-made. 2) No free Wi-Fi.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The room was comfortable and clean, and the complimentary breakfast and drinks were much appreciated. The staff were very pleasant. The location of the hotel was very central and ideal for a tourist. There was a safe in the room which was free to use.

Very very pathetic hotel. Don't even bother to stay here. Stay in Comfort Inn in W 25 st instead. In the name of free breakfast they just have donuts and banana. Whereas in Comfort inn 99/night you will get varieties in free breakfast.

My stay here was decent, the rooms are clean and while average size for New York and recommended if you're staying in the city for a day or two.

Nice enough for one or two nights. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. The florescent lighting was weird, they should update. Also, the 7th floor where we stayed is where the ice and vending machines are and a busy maid closet, sound carries so you here odd noises at night and maids arguing in the morning. But all in all its acceptable for the price and proximity to the sites. It's easy to take the train anywhere in New York from this hotel.

Lovely friendly staff, our room was a great size and had lots of storage. Plenty of room for our shopping bags. Really liked having coffee on tap whenever we came back and pastries in the morning to eat in room before heading out. Really pleased to have a view of the Empire State Building. Central for walking to shops, Times Square, even a long walk to Battery Park! Plenty of train stations nearby. Felt safe walking in this area and lots of eating places nearby. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved this place, the people who work there are so helpful especially Antoni on the front desk he showed us where to go, how to get there hailed us taxis, even booked tickets for the thetre to see Wicked which was awesome, The room was large with two of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in, nice bathroom with a bath plus over shower so perfect … The breakfast room was a little crampt but the croissants, bagels plus a large selection of delicious pastry's and endless supply of coffee and tea make up for that … But you can take your breakfast up to your room if you want… The hotel is well situated for Empire State Building, flatiron building, Madison park and a nice walk to the lovely shops Maceys etc … We had a wonderful stay … Thank you Broadway Plaza Hotel.

Very pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable, and very large. The staff was amazing, specially the concierge. I don't think I ever opened a door by myself and they always have a warm and welcoming smile. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Pleasantly surprised for the price. We had a nice view of the empire state building. Clean rooms comfy bed quiet. Stayed the weekend of halloween. Cabs were hard to come by but the porter went out of his way to hail us one and even though the cab driver was reluctant to take us to then bowery due to Halloween traffic, the porter convinced him to take us. Really pleased with service.

Goods in this hotel recently. The stay was very pleasant. The rooms were always changed clean, the towels. The service was attentive and pleasant. Unfortunately, the only shortcoming was breakfast. If you like it sweet, is there good hands. For me, this was nothing unfortunately. But nevertheless it can be very good and cheap food in the area. We come back. Great stay and well located hotel. Came for the Chappelle show at Radio City this summer and we had to make a quick change for our itinerary and found this spot, which was great price-wise but amazingly accommodating. They were able to hold things for us even though we had checked out and went to see the the show, and the rooms were spacious and clean. All in All extremely pleased and will definitely return.

Only stayed there one night and the hotel is very clean, smells great, the room was big, the window view from my room was beautiful and there is a free breakfast, which is really strange in nyc. The staff is very nice, polite, very helpful.

I understand a hotel no-cancelation policy, but I don't understand a no-cancelation policy when the news headlines say "A winter storm warning has been issued for New York City and the surrounding areas by the National Weather Service from noon Tuesday through Wednesday morning, and Mayor Bill de Blasio said the city has activated all of its emergency preparation systems. " I called 12 hours before check in to notify them my trip had been canceled due to impending weather and that I would like to cancel the room. I was flatly told "no. " I later called to plead with the General Manager for leniency. Again, I was told that they only do that for "Acts of God" because they were fully booked, and the weather forecast is for only a few inches of snow. They firmly asserted that the weather was not their fault and that they would try to resell the room, but because of the weather it wasn't likely to rebook on short notice. (Double standard? ) My flight out of LGA the morning of the supposed check-out was canceled due to weather as I'd feared, but I'm still on the hook for paying the hotel room. Hey, at least I didn't have to pay them for 2 nights since my flight was canceled and I would have stayed an extra night. This property is not about customer service, but only their booking level. Beware.
