Review of Homewood Suites 3*

I would really like to start this off with a 1/4 star. We checked into our room, unpacked and got comfortable. We met the rest of our team at the front desk only to be told we were being kicked out of the hotel. They contacted the police to have us removed with no explanation. Now mind you I just drove 8 hours, I was exhausted and needed to lay down. Instead I'm being put out on the street as if I had committed a crime. The manager, frustrated over the patrons attempts to rectify the situation, said "your kind is not welcome here. " I travel with a Bowling group of approximately 20 to 25 people. After speaking with police it was explained, there was an incident with one room out of 11 that were booked. (king bed vs. Double bed availability) that needed to be resolved. The hotel reserved and confirmed a room that was not available upon arrival. Homewood suites management was extremely unprofessional and refused service. This could’ve been easily corrected but instead they chose to escalate their voices, demean our team members and cause chaos. I had no issues with my check-in. I was called a piece of Sh#! By management and taunted until police arrived. They were unwilling to offer information or a refund. Police took our information and offered assistance to locate other local hotels. No one should be subjected to such treatment. This is racism at its finest and people are bold enough to do it, expecting you to just accept it. The team is, composed of professionals, military personnel and Christians, unfortunately our skin color was enough to spike the situation. Right is right. Wrong is wrong. This entire incident is recorded and will be provided to the appropriate authorities. I am absolutely dissatisfied. What a vacation!
