We arrived and we’re never told there restaurant and bar was closed hence no room service however didn’t have a problem charging full price 319.00 for 1 night. They could not advise where to go for breakfast and everything in the town was closed. I can see this being a 4 star hotel pre pandemic. I give this place a 2 star rating due to the room being nice. We did not have any amenities for the price they charged.

I ate breakfast there and I had coffee. I put creamer in my coffee that curdled. I showed the girl that was working and she did nothing. She was not friendly and the food was gross. Never again will I make that mistake.

The Gould is a historical hotel that has been completely renovated and tastefully decorated. There are high ceilings and a chandelier in every room. We had a Queen suite that was very nice and reasonably priced. Will definitely come again.

This is a very warm welcoming place … I enjoyed my 2 night stay… it is so clean and so quiet definitely will return in the future… the summer would definitely be a great stay☺️

The first time I’ve been to a hotel that looks exactly how it is pictured! Beautiful decor, clean, and perfect location in the middle of town. Great for our weekend getaway!

We visited The Gould yesterday and were extremely impressed upon arrival. The man at the front desk was polite and professional and foyer clean and beautiful. When we got to our room we were in awe. Gorgeous. Unfortunately we had a family emergency and had to leave within three hours to return home. We went back to the desk and the man was very accommodating and caring. You don't get that at a chain hotel. We will be back and want to thank you for everything. I wish I knew his name but my mind was racing so I didn't catch it. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Staff were polite and were there when you needed them they were helpful the rooms are cleaned and big.

We stayed at the Gould Hotel for the Its a Wonderful Life Festival. Great location, right in town near all the activities. Beautifully decorated and very friendly staff. The food was delicious and “Martini’s Bar” aka the bar inside the Gould is an excellent location to have a mulled cider and visit with friends and make new ones too! We had a great time!

Wow. Great service, ambiance, and the food (Chicken Parm, Bucatili Pesto) was sooo fresh and tasty! NYC in the Finger Lakes!

Restaurant: terrible service. It took a long time to get our food and we were told not to order another appetizer because the food would be out soon, and then we had to wait a long time to get that food. Chef kept making mistakes (on 3 orders) and we had to pay for it anyways. They would not split our bill. We felt uncomfortable and it was all around a bad experience.

The Gould has that nice casual meets elegance feel to it. The building is historical but does not feel stuffy I enjoy the food selections and the overall atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and they work hard to accommodate my daughter with celiacs disease when we come for dinner.

The place was absolutely filthy. Fought to get money back. Got back after3 weeks, then 2 months later charged us again.

Our check in date at the Gould Hotel was on 8/30/18 and we had made reservation in advance and booked a suite as it was our anniversary. This is the same day as the new ownership took over the hotel. Upon our check in we were informed that we had been bumped from the suite, but they had a room available. This was very disappointing. I went back and asked why we were bumped and I was told that the new owners bumped us for their convenience. Now I have been in this business for 15 years at a four star resort, and if I know one thing you do not put the your guest out to satisfied your needs. If needed you make a bed in the restaurant to make sure all the guest are satisfied first. The service was terrible but not the fault of the servers as they were all ask to much. The bartender had to take care of the bar and wait on 5 tables in the restaurant. The servers were all very friendly and out going. We also order champagne and a cheese tray to be delivered to our room twice and never got it and they even charged us, but corrected upon check out. So shame on the new management and hope they can find some kind of training manual on how to run a hotel correctly.

The property is fantastic. Great location, cool old building, really lovely rooms. The visit was marred by a night clerk's attempt to defraud me of >$1k, but I caught it in time and it was taken care of by hotel management.

The room (suite) was beautifully appointed, the bed AND the pullout bed (surprise! ) were very comfortable. Everything worked. The staff was very thoughtful, professional and friendly, both at the check-in desk and at the restaurant. The menu was outstanding and the food and drinks made to perfection. Can't wait to visit again!

Great experience at the Gould! Friendly and helpful desk and reception team even with a midnight arrival and multiple lost luggage inquiries. The housekeeping team was great The Contential breakfast and bar are convenient and nice amenities. The location is great to walk anywhere in town from the Women's Rights National Park to Wonderland Life museum. Such a great collection of historical sites and community memories in Seneca Falls. Thank you ALl for a great experience!. And for mailing my forgotten items.

I have stayed here many times and have always left satisfied. The room decor is adorable. The continental breakfast provided is a nice start to the day. It is right in the center of town. This hotel is great and their staff is lovely.

Went in January, was a busy night waited and hour and a half for our food that ended up being cold when we got it. It was excusable, they were extremely busy and they ended up picking up the check for us and gave us a gift card to come back. Well, 6 months later we come back to almost the same exact experience! Waited 20 minutes for the waitress to take our drink orders then 30 minutes for our drinks (a glass of wine and a hard cider) before finally saying f*** it and leaving. It wasnt even busy! The waitress saw us get up to walk out and pretended to go to the bar to get our drinks. Didnt say a word to us while watching us walk out the door. Im not sure the issue with this place because everyone else seems to have had a good experience. Needless to say, we wont be returning or using the gift card they gave us.

I don’t know if we came in on an off night or what. But the service was very slow, the food wasn’t very good as others have boasted. This was my first time going there, and had brought 5 guests. Quite a few customers left due to the long wait, our food took a very long time. The presentation was very nice, the taste was not. The endless pasta was very bland and flavorless and expensive (11.99 a plate) The atmosphere was very pretty, but the floor is just so unorganized. The servers were running around doing their best to get things done, but help is needed. I’m sorry but I just can’t recommend going at this given time.

My family took me there for mother's day brunch. It was very nice, Tabitha was very sweet and my 5 year old took to her quickly. Our waiter Earl was also very good, we never had to ask for anything, he was right there to bring drinks and clear our plates. Would definitely go back again!

Beautiful hotel that has both quaint historic charm and trendy, modern decor. Went to events with meals served in their conference room, food was delicious and staff went above and beyond to give a great experience. Restaurant downstairs has live music at night.

This historical hotel has been recently renovated and it is absolutely beautiful inside. The beds are so comfortable and the room layouts are well planned. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were spotless. On site hotel and lounge were great. Perfect location to return after circling the Finger lakes.

Brought my family for Easter brunch after seeing great reviews about it. I know they were busy but our waitress was not very attentive. Never received water I asked for at the start. I didn't like the setup with food stations in different rooms. Some of the food was cold or overcooked or unappealing. My family was disappointed as well. At least they didn't have to pay for that awful meal as my husband took care of it. Thanks for an UNHAPPY EASTER!

Attended Easter Sunday brunch with family from out of town. While it is attractive inside and they were quick to accommodate our reservation, we were not able to enjoy the full brunch we paid for as we did not know tables of food were scattered in completely different rooms. We missed out on half of the menu because we couldn't find all of the tables that housed the food. Also, a large table of food was set up by the main entrance where guests were coming in and out opening the door. This seemed unsanitary as wind (and I imagine debris) blew in every time the door opened, then incoming guests would walk by with their coats dangling near the food, and it was very cramped if you were trying to get food from that table while others walked in. When we inquired about the location of this table, the response from our server was that it was cold food items so it didn't matter. Over all, the experience and food was just okay.

This hotel was a lucky find. Right in the heart of Seneca Falls this century old hotel is in walking distance from all the local historical attractions. We stayed in a Queen Suite. For being so affordable there is no skimping out on luxury. High ceilings, hardwood floors with well placed rugs, classic yet modern tiling in the washroom, tastefully decorated, and nearly floor to ceiling length windows that overlook the downtown area or Women’s historic park (depending on what side you stay on). This is easily the best for value hotel I have ever stayed in. The restaurant on the first level was excellent. I ordered the Chicken French and my partner ordered the Pulled Chicken Sandwich. Both were great. Hand cut French fries were tasty. My chicken was perfectly cooked and lightly breaded. I even appreciated the homemade cornbread croutons in the salad. Even if you aren’t staying in the hotel I can definitely recommend the restaurant. We don’t make it to New York very often, but next time we head this way we will definitely be staying again.

They ran out of crab legs at 8:15 pm on an all you can eat crab legs special night that went until 10 pm. Horrible planning.

Hi loved it here. Just came for dinner. But cannot wait to stay here. Classy historical elegance in a relaxed atmosphere.

When you walk in from Main St. You must walk through the bar area to find the desk. The hostess wasn't even ready for anyone. She asked us what time it was. The waitress was friendly. My friend ordered the Beef on a Wick. She asked it to be rare. The waitress didn't tell her it couldn't be rare. Due to being a smoked beef. It came on a brioche bun. Not the Kaiser it should be on. I ordered the shredded bbq chicken. It wasn't shredded. It was cut up pieces. Some still had burnt skin on it. There were 2 large chunks of dark meat. Bigger than my thumb. I couldn't cut them with my knife they were so hard. French fries are home made. They were delicious. The waitress took off the cost of the sandwich. That was very nice.

Our room was excellent, the check-in and check-out was smooth. The services were well organized. The breakfast buffet however lacked any quality food and was very subpar.

We chose to stay at the Gould Hotel instead of the casino; what an excellent decision on our part! Immediately upon entering, we were greeted warmly and the General Manager started a sincere conversation as he ushered us to the elevator. The design and feel of the place is roaring 20's, with branded decor and flavor. We felt special, much more than a typical holiday inn/Hilton type of stay. Plush, posh, perfection. Our room was spotless, decor was posh, mattress a firm cloud of heaven and the shower simple yet sophisticated with the rain shower head. We had an amazing dinner in the restaurant — one of the largest fish fries we have seen, and the crab stuffed halibut was beautiful in presentation. Prices reasonable, and we enjoyed listening to someone play the piano in the lobby. During our dinner, the GM stopped by our table to check on our experience, and again offered his assistance should we need anything. The shuttle back and forth to the casino was clean, entertaining, and punctual. Upon returning, the hotel bar was buzzing with sounds of great music and laughter. Continental breakfast was heavy on the carbohydrates, but hey, if that's the only complaint I can make then it sounds like a winner. We will definitely return, and will recommend the Gould to any and all of our friends looking for a trip to Seneca Falls or Del Lago.

I was just here for the food, and it was absolutely amazing. The lobster bisque blew me away with all the flavours. The whole time I was eating at this establishment, I kept thinking to myself, "I wonder if this could get any better. " and to my surprise, it did! The steak at this place is one of the best I've ever had in my life. I honestly mistook this restaurant for some old country joint. I am really glad I came here. The man that comes around (sorry, I don't know his name) plays his guitar beautifully and the restaurant gets a really nice mood from it. To wrap it up, I really recommend you eat here if you just want a nice meal for the weekend…

Forgot dad's food at family get together everyone was done when his showed up. Bummer for a once a year gathering.

Attended a holiday party and we were in the ballroom and it was a nice experience. Good food and great service.

Great boutique hotel. Beautiful modern rooms in a historic building. Large bathrooms with walk-in showers and everything was extremely clean. Also has a very good restaurant and great bar. Best martinis we have had out in quite a while and really nice bar tenders. Just be careful about ordering too much food because the portions are huge even though the prices are average.

We showed up for the All-You-Can-Eat Snow Crab night. I'm recently crippled, and my partner just had foot surgery. So of course we got the absolutely farthest table from the entrance to start. We had never been to The Gould Hotel so I only had high hopes and low expectations. I'm sad to say that they crushed my hopes and exceeded the low of a visit to McDonalds. From the great big open cafeteria style hard word uncomfortable seating, to the uneasy feeling I got from looking up at the ceiling slabs supported by nothing but the sprinkler system and some wire. We had a great waitress named Kayla, but the service was slowed by the style of ordering each plate and waiting. I was not even slightly impressed by the completely rock hard rolls brought to showcase their flavored butter. Next I was bothered with ignoring the stuffing "junk food" like soups and salads. I am paying literally $30+ dollars for all I can eat crab. I do NOT want to waste $15 of my stomach space on bread, soup, and salad! So I explained that I am only here for the crab and I haven't eaten all day in preparation for this meal. So while I sat staring at four plates of crab cooling on the table across the row from us, and waiting through my companion Michelle's bread, soup and salad… Drooling, I finally got my order. My first plate of crab was a huge disappointment even in starving condition as I was. It seemed to be overcooked for more than 2 hours in boiling water.

Rooms are clean and very comfortable with modern décor. The staff are friendly and very helpful. If I had to say anything negative it would be the access area off the elevators. Very tight and hard to get luggage from the elevator to the numbered floor that is separate by a double steel door but not enough to give it a lower star rating. Thank you Gould for a lovely 2 night stay.

Stopped here just to eat — very delicious food and awesome atmosphere to dine in. Nice outside deck that is on the main street. The Calamari was delicious and the crab cakes and salads were fresh and well made. Staff was super friendly and helpful in boxing up the large portions we couldn't finish.

Love this hotel, have stayed twice now and would definitely stay again. Beautiful rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff and an amazing location walking distance to most everything in Seneca Falls.

The room was cute and chic. The bathroom was dirty and the rug was stained but other than that we were very happy! Bed was very comfortable, food was outstanding! 5 stars on food alone, bar was nice and drinks were on point. The staff was friendly and helpful.

They sell more rooms then have and then relocate you to cheaper place near by. We booked room few weeks in advance for our romantic getaway. We carefully planned it and it was messed up when hotel called us an hour before we came saying that they overbook and we can not get room we paid for. Instead they moved us to Holiday Inn that located 15 minutes drive from them in the middle of nowhere. From conversation I understood that it happens pretty often and they alway relocated people in this location. That place is good if you are looking to spend night in motel, but not for romantic getaway that we planned. Fully frustrated.

This is one of those amazing places in New York that should be on everyone's Bucket List! I just Love this hotel! Clean, amazing Art Deco decor, friendly service and the restaurant is 5 star. Local wine, beer, cider and cheese! I had the ribeye and my husband has a strip steak and I can say the meal made my top 10 best ever dinners! Oh and the foundue is to Die For!
The manager sat with us and told us about the history of this amazing place and we will be back!

Food was alright, server made small mistakes but was overall very good, it was Friday so the live music was pretty cool.

The ho hotel is beautiful on the rooms are newly redone we did have a lot of trouble with our room keys but each time we went down they did give us a new one to correct it everything was very clean the wedding food that we had was very good my only complaint is that they didn't come around to refill our water glasses we did have some trouble with the thermostat in our room which was never corrected overall it was a good experience.

Adorable room. Comfortable sleeping. Phone wasn't working and there was some confusion on the breakfast. It's mentioned in the menu under restaurant hours but as far as we can tell there's no breakfast room service. This wasn't enough to make the experience not enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Really love the style. Very central location. Super nice staff. Breakfast could use more substance but I am here during an off travel time so I am not really upset much about it.

The food here is the best I've ever had. I came here for a tasting of menu items for my wedding. The chef is from Italy and has quite an extensive resume. I highly recommend the Gould's restaurant staff and good for any ocassion!

We went for a tasting for our wedding that will be at Red Mill Inn. The food was excellent, and so was the service!

The staff was very pleasant. The room and hotel itself looked very nice. Room service was wonderful once we walked downstairs to find out if it was available. There was no info in the room at all. The bed was not very comfortable. The mirrors and shower were all streaked. The door did not lock or when it did it was after at least 5 minutes of struggle. Overall a little more attention to detail would make this a 5 star review.

Nice look to the place. We didn't love the mattress though. Also our door had trouble locking right. The staff was friendly though.

Beautiful hotel. Shame this happened. Every time I come up to Seneca Falls for work, they overcharge me for rooms and food. Then I have to hound them for weeks to get the money back. The last time I stayed there, they told me the initial credit card I put down was declined (which it shouldn't have been) so I gave them another one. Mysteriously, that so called "declined" credit card ended up being charged for a room and almost $300 in the restaurant! I never even put the card down in the restaurant, which is supposedly separate from the hotel. I debated this with the management for many months about it and his answer was that they "don't have a record of the charge" so it couldn't have happened. I sent them my cc statements that CLEARLY showed OTHERWISE. They reimbursed me for the rooms but never reimbursed me for the meal. CUSTOMER BEWARE because at this hotel we are NOT always right. I will never stay here again! I now stay at Holiday Inn at Waterloo. The staff is friendly and they are more professional.

Drift asleep to the whir of the air conditioner, the hum of a passing car on the street below, and the rhythmic thump-thump-thump of the bed above you. Ah yes, we’re all adults and adults have ‘relations’, but for as classy and elegant as the Gould Hotel would like you to think it is, my stay sounded a lot more like they should have hourly rates. I tried to be understanding, turning on the TV to try and wait out the amorous neighbors, pushing the volume to an uncomfortable level. But the sound was traveling down the wall that the couple was drilling into. What to do… oh, what to do? I called the front desk, and let them know my 10 year old daughter should really be sleeping instead of watching extremely loud Disney movies and listening to the metronome from upstairs. But there was no change in the situation. Sure, I may have been a little jealous, traveling with my family, not getting some of my own action at the time. However, there were zero breaks or changes in pace or intensity, which sounded boring. My family needed to sleep. I walked down to the front desk to again voice my displeasure, and even though it was quite late at night, I requested a room change. The front desk indicated they had nothing available. Even though it would mean packing up my room, I requested they book me elsewhere immediately, since they had apparently not addressed the issue. Instead, the front desk decided to find the night manager for me, who said he would take care of it.
