Reviews of Tru By Hilton Syracuse-Camillus 2*
Best hotel that we have stayed at. Reasonably priced Very clean Very comfortable beds Loved the soaps… Great customer service Awesome breakfast Wish I could give a higher than 5 star rating.
Awesome hotel, had a different atmosphere from your usual hotel. It felt very 2018 and seemed like it would so a great job of entertaining a family with children. I had never seen a hotel with a basketball court before, so that was cool.

It wasn't the best Hilton I've stayed at, but not the worst (the Skyler hotel by Hilton is the worst, I've done a lot of traveling). It is very minimalistic as far as 3/4star hotels go. I like more storage areas & this was smaller on room size so less space to place things. Since there's less room area, you would think this makes for more bathroom space, right? Wrong. The shower is tiny. The body care bulk products hanging in the shower gets in the way & I was always bumping into the walls. I'm short so the length of my arms shouldn't be a factor but that's how small the shower space is. It made it more difficult because the door handle is horizontal. Slamming your hand down on that makes it harder to preserve water because you stand there in pain for a bit. The height of the shelf was down by my calves & that doesn't make any bit of sense at all. Kids don't normally book hotels so why you'd place the shelf clear down there is beyond me. The brightness of the bathroom light was eye alarming during the middle of the night. It was nice, however, to have those lights on a conservation system so they'd go out of there's no motion after a while. But the only time it wasn't acceptable was when I was showering & it went out — twice. I did appreciate dimmable lighting over the beds. The TV was too big & too close for that size of room. I did change screen size to smallest option but the TV was too close anyhow so it kind of made watching it uncomfortable.
