The room I was in had a bed bug infestation. The owner refused to talk to me by phone or in-person, initially refused to provide me with a full refund, and threatened legal action if I posted a negative review. I will now have to throw away all of my clothes and luggage.

The Margaretville Motel is under new management. Though the building itself is dated, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the linens were of excellent quality and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay-

All is well kept clean. It is what you pay for _ not too much not too little. Cozy motel to stop by on the way.

They will charge extra for a list of things including garbage. Room condition is bad. Doesnt give you any cups. And too expensive ($159 a night). TV is like toy.

I also wanted to note. After contacting the so called emergency number about the rude elephant stampede next door absolutely nothing was done. They are now punching walls and laughing at 2 am. We may possibly call the police.

Terrible experience. I would never recommend this to anyone who wants to get a Good night sleep. This place has paper thin walls. You hear everything. The people next to us were so loud and obnoxious they came back screaming fighting and punching things. Sounded like an elephant stampede. Also the ironic thing is no one is at the front desk past 9 pm. When you call the emergency number listed no one answers or responds.

Inexpensive but shoddy motel. The room looked and felt like it would fall apart and the toilet barely worked. It is also priced by the person for some reason. I liked the price, but would rather stay somewhere nicer next time and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone else.

Needed a room for my mother. Nothing special, but the management put up signs instructing the customer not to waste heat or electric, which gave the room more of a "no-tell-motel" feel than the quaint countryside inn feel it is capable of.

Clean rooms. Good continental breakfast. Reasonably priced. No pets allowed unfortunately.

Clean, friendly, convenient but not upmarket.

Friendly people. Close to a ski/snowboard area. Have a very basic breakfast.

Passed through on my way to a camp site. Nice quiet town.

We stopped here for a night as part of a longer motorcycle trip. The room had everything necessary for our stay, but the TV was the tiniest we've ever found in all our travels. The staff were extremely friendly. The continental breakfast was pretty standard bagels, pastry, and cold cereal. It wasn't fancy, but, then again, neither was the price.

Stayed at the Margaretville Motel. And had a great dinner at the Inn Between Steak and Seafood restaurant. Got up the next and and backpacked the Big Indian Wilderness. Very beautiful area.

I have given 2 star because location was good. But motel room was very small and bed was smelling bad. Bathroom was also not clean. It is OK to stay unplanned one night.

Clean, reasonable in price, and conveniently located. Kinda kitchy, but I enjoyed my time there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room had 2 beds, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. There's a speedy mart and liquor store within walking distance.

No comment U have to see for yourself what little they offer U for the price…

I was there to catch a bus. They were very nice.

Great honest people, left a $60 controller in my room and they sent it to me, they couldve either stole that or stole my card info, but they didnt, rooms arent too bad either, not a holiday inn but it does the trick! Comfortable and a beautiful area, stop in!

Only place in town. Very nice rooms and suites!

Very reasonable pricing for modest accommodations. I enjoyed my stay, and they were patient booking me last minute in a pinch.
