you have to be kidding me.
It was so sour we could even drink it.
Bartender had to put sweetener in it to calm it down.
Great atmosphere but you need to calm down the prices.

We stayed here a couple of years ago and had such great memories decided to stop In the bar and look at the artwork. Great drinks and worth a stay and stop’

Great location and facilities.

Poor “pet friendly” areas. All waste bag dispensers were empty the entire stay.
Tv never worked and no one came after 3 calls.
Great bar service, restaurant had poor selection.
We had no water in the middle of a shower. Pipe busted and they wanted to know if I wanted to use the spa showers. With soap and shampoo all over me? Really? I’m going to walk all the way over there?
Room was quoted during phone reservation as a King, we got a queen.
Zero spa availability… at a spa resort. I’ll stay elsewhere next time I’m in town.

This location is wonderful. From the atmosphere to the staff, from the location to the amenities, I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Staff at check-in, bar, and restaurant are fantastic; exceptional customer service. At 2:30-pm on Friday, the bar was PACKED. ; the staff greeted every table and said they would get back to us quickly and they did… very professional.

We just spent 5 nights at La Posada. Had a wonderful time, the property and staff were perfect. Dining was excellent. The rooms do need a little updating but still very comfortable. I have to compliment the staff, there were several very rude guests and the staff remained friendly and professional.

We really like this hotel. One this, our 2nd visit, we found the staff very friendly and trying to make our visit enjoyable. The food at the restaurant is very good. The pool is pleasant and even has a staffed bar. Only complaint is the rooms, while charming, could be better thought out.

The hotel looks beautiful on the outside but the rooms are extremely small for the price being so expensive. I booked a deluxe room for my wedding day and once I got into my room it was such a disappointment. I paid extra for a room with a chimney and when we got inside there was no chimney. I returned to the front desk to ask if there was a mistake they responded with "The deluxe rooms were sold out". Never did I get a notification or a call saying it was sold out. I highly recommend going else where, especially on a day where you're suppose to relax and enjoy your honeymoon, instead we were extremely disappointed.

As a current guest, awakened in the middle of the night by flashing strobe lights in my room, I am genuinely disappointed. At the price point of this hotel you simply do not have room for these types of mishaps. I’m literally praying that our 6 month old baby doesn’t wake up. Furthermore, my reservation has already had complications due to booking outside of a room block and the hotel not being willing to honor the block rate for early arrival. As a result, we are stuck in a tiny queen room for the night at a rate that seems vastly overpriced… especially given the strobe light problem. As someone who travels frequently I can tell you at this point I do not believe I will be able to recommend this hotel unless things change significantly and I’m here for the next 3 days. I only haven’t given it a one because we had an enjoyable meal and the resort has a nice ambiance with so much potential… so I’m trying to be balanced even as I write this unable to rest because the strobe lights. I should have just stayed somewhere else tonight, all things being considered.

This was my first, and last time staying at this property. This was supposed to be a fantastic, celebratory weekend for a relative. Instead, our stay at La Posada turned into a nightmare due to rude and poorly timed service, sub par facilities, and hidden fees. I have never written a review with less than 3 stars before today. I hope to never go through such an ordeal again. Our nightmarish stay started when our room was not ready until after 5:00 pm on a Friday. We had already missed our dinner reservations with the rest of family, so we decided to order room service at around 7pm. More than an hour and a half later, our food arrived cold. We were literally starving with young children, and so we ate the food. It was nothing exceptional. For the price, I expected better. This was only the start. We learned my brother was not in the room across the way, as planned, because the stench was so awful, he said it reminded him of death. They finally agreed to move him to a different room (later on, trying to charge him hundreds of dollars extra, because of the hotel’s mistake — we were lucky to catch that one). The next morning, we decided to use the $40 breakfast credit which was included with the room-package. We waited almost an hour to get our food. It was at least warm this time. The next morning we sent one person well in advance to order food for everyone in our party of 12. These “breakfast credits” turned out to be a scam that did not include the tax and other “fees”.

Spa and resort, spent some time slowing down and enjoying the moments. This quaint place, just walking distance from the Plaza, was a great get away. The place was packed but we felt a million miles from everyone else. My wife was attending a conference for over a hundred and they were just a small part of what was going on there. The staff was professional and courteous, the check in took a bit but they were busy. The rooms were straight out of the old west, nicely kept and accommodating.

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a beautiful stay. Located a short walk from the main square, shops, restaurants and historical landmarks, you really can't get any closer to the action. The hotel itself is nice, cozy and clean. The staff is friendly and very accommodating and the grounds are beautifully kept with tons of places to sit and enjoy the environment. I will be back for sure!

Not what I expected from a resort. Disappointed in amenities and cleanliness. Stains on wall and fabric shade. Back rooms feel secluded which might work for you if that’s what you’re looking for. For me, I don’t feel safe walking to the back of the property because there are not a lot of people around, especially in the evening. The bathroom in my room is tiny. Front of toilet close to wall.

I stayed here for a works conference and the place was beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and made up brilliantly. The local grounds were lovely also and staff were very helpful. I would certainly come back here with my partner for a weekend or longer break. I didn't partake in any of the amenities but there is a spa for those that enjoy that. Amazing place.

Very relaxing hotel with rooms spread around the property amidst fountains and greenery. The staff was wonderful, especially the vallet who welcomed us to the hotel. We loves the fireplace in the room and the traditional wooden ceiling. Would stay again!

Go here if you want to relax. The rooms are peaceful; the beds are great. The restaurants and bars are lovely. Do *NOT* stay here if you need to twork or get around quickly. Mandatory valet (often with no one in the valet station and people milling around walking for their cars) and barely any internet access.

I was only there to hang out in the lobby, but even with just that, it was really nice. The employees were very respectful and it was well put together.

La Posada has not lost a step. Gracious 'cozy' room w fireplace is affordable, yet upscale. Furniture is either dated or timeless, based on your worldview. Beautiful grounds. Bar service is on point. Friendly valet service is taxed at 4pm, otherwise smooth.

Slow check in, small outdated room, sufficient customer service. Valet service only was inconvenient but the personnel were nice.

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Santa Fe. We stopped in to check out the hot tub scene, hoping there would be private tubs. Unfortunately, they don't have private tubs, just your usual outdoor-and-next-to-the-swimming-pool hot tub, but the spa staff who showed us around were very helpful and friendly. We liked the feel of the lobby, and hearing that it's haunted by Julia Staab added intrigue. Next time, we plan to stay in one of the guest rooms so we can really relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

Great hotel in interesting surroundings.

We got what must have been the worst room on the property. Small, cramped, backed up to street noise. Quite cold, except when the high — velocity blast furnace heater kicked in. You could wake up chilled but sweaty. Main building is very pretty. Their restaurant food is pretty good. Staff is generally helpful, but some are aloof. The concierge Lisa was extremely helpful and welcoming.

Let’s start with the good: Great location, valet staff was very prompt and pleasant. Great fireplaces in the room make for a fun element! Bedding was comfortable and adequate The not so good: Our room, 212, didn’t have a heater vent in the bathroom. It was low 20’s each night we were there. You literally needed a coat in the bathroom… made showers and sitting on the potty VERY cold. Shower pressure and shower head didn’t impressive. Overall we gave 3 as the staff works hard… property is dated and rooms are Tired.

When the nicest staff are the valets, who by the way hustle and are polite at the same time, you know there's a problem. I get it, we come on a holiday weekend and a lot of the staff probably don't want to work or things aren't as usual and they get stressed out. But don't take it out on the guests and make them feel not welcomed. The worst was their bar, The Staab House. But it wasn't just us. When we left without getting served or helped, another group of people left without paying their bill because they had been waiting for it for over half an hour. Avoid. The front desk woman, who wasn't that friendly or gracious, said we got upgraded to a king bed with a fireplace, like she did us a favor. It was still a queen bed. For the adobe wood-burning fireplace, you think so cute and cozy when you walk in. But if you have a neighbor whose fireplace is adjacent to yours, and they decide to have theirs lit, even if you don't want a fire, your room will smell so strong of smoke. We had to call the front desk to make sure this was normal, because I was afraid I'd go to sleep and never wake up. The rest of our stay our clothes and room smelled of smoke. Did I go camping? No, I stayed at La Posada Santa Fe. If you have sensitivity to smoke or the smell, good luck. So many other things but I'll spare you reader. Just so disappointed with the hospitality and the room that I had to say something.

My room was lovely, spotless, and so quiet. I don't think I've had a more restful stay. I've stayed in the main house and now this Casita. Both visits have been perfect.

I was searching for a quiet, uncrowded and elegant bar to have a glass of wine on a Saturday night when I wandered in to the Staab House at La Posada. Intimate, wood paneled, well-appointed rooms in a restored 19th century mansion, full of contemporary art, each with a small fireplace. The bar itself is old school elegance. Outside, are a couple of comfortable seating areas with gas fire pits in the center of the tables. Service was friendly and efficient, if a little scattered. The prices reflect the upscale, old world atmosphere, but all things considered, not unreasonable. One of the best places in town to have an intimate conversation in quiet surroundings.

Beautiful layout, went to a wedding there. The staff was friendly and the grounds were great for the ceremony. Dance hall was spacious and great for our use.

Overpriced! Rooms are small and maintenance is very slow. My bathroom had no functioning lightbulb when I checked in at 2 pm and I had to be ugly to get a bulb replaced at 9 pm. Location is great but I would look for other options.

Gorgeous grounds. Excellent — and I mean EXCELLENT service. Everyone is so helpful and yet leaves you to relax and enjoy the experience. It's the perfect amount of attention. The rooms are gorgeous, clean and well stocked. Love this place. We will be back!

Great hotel and location. Beautiful rooms (casitas). Two blocks away from the main plaza and Cathedral. Fair prices. Recommend it with no reservations.

For the price I was expecting so much more. Service was slow, especially valet which is the only option for parking. On average it took about 10 minutes to get my car. It took 30 minutes on the day that I checked out, and there were only 4 other guests waiting. Staff was friendly but, friendliness can only make up for slow service to an extent. Electronics in the room did not work. They had to send someone over to fix the TV. The Keurig would power on just to shut off after a few seconds without making coffee.

Great location convenient to Canyon Road and shopping district. The hotel grounds are great and the rooms met our expectations. The one negative is check in is unbelievably slow and it's a little slow when getting your car from valet parking, which is mandatory. The service was good and hotel employees very friendly. We will stay here again.

A beautiful, historic hotel in a great location downtown. Everything is an easy walk, or they have a shuttle (3mi radius). I've stayed here a few times, and only had an issue once of no cell-service in my room plus weak hotel Wi-Fi signal (it was a 1st floor room, kind of back in a corner).

The grounds and rooms are stunning. The grounds/operations manager, Mr. Baca is incredibly kind, helpful, & personable. The rest of the staff are hit or miss. If you are planning an event, like a wedding, buyer-beware. The location will be stunning and the event will be memorable, but you will HAVE to keep on top of them & double check EVERYTHING. Do not trust that because this resort is gorgeous & high-end that their staff are equally incredible. There has been turn-over resulting in some internal chaos that was not dealt with super professionally & hidden away from me, the client. I recommend for your event or wedding so long as you are ready for a not-super-smooth planning period & post-wedding detail wrap-up.

Tiny room. Shower head was very leaky. Hot tub was stinky. Concierge on the phone couldn't answer basic questions about the hotel. Far too over priced. Pretty property, that's it.

Stopped off to take a look at the property and visit the bar. It had a very interesting feel similar to an "old style" bar saloon. Very dark tones with adequate lighting and a fireplace in the corner to bring warmth.

My wife and I visited the resort and were using the hot tub. The security guard tried to remove us three times under the pretenses that we snuck in. We are a young couple in our early twenties and were celebrating our anniversary. We felt very out of place and will never go back.

Staying at La Posada now. It's a lovely hotel on several acres of land with a gorgeous Santa Fe style. Our room is very spacious, with a living room and a fireplace. The bathroom has both a shower and a shower/tub. The staff are lovely and have been very accommodating. Very much enjoying our stay and look more to visiting again in the future.

La Posada is beautiful, with very kind staff and a lovely salt water pool/hot tub. We went for a quick weekend getaway. It's location is convenient to the plaza and has nicely tended gardens. The room had very comfy beds, plush robes, and nice art on the walls. The pool was the best. It is a saline pool with saline hot tub. My skin and hair were soft and unirritated after a long soak. The only thing I might change is the check in and check out process. When you walk in, the reception desks are on the left and are a bit easy to miss. They have chairs to sit at which is nice, but limited staff and space for reception. They give everyone nice individual attention, but this does mean you will wait a while to check in or check out. I think we waited about 15 minutes to check out. No big deal, but could be streamlined. Also there is fresh fruit, coffee, tea and hot choloate in the lobby so you can do that while you wait. All in all it was a lovely experience and I would love to go back again.

This is a really nice place, rooms are historic and small but the beds are super plush and the room is super clean. The spa is nice and the saline pool is too good. What sets this place off is the food. Unbelievable quality, I sort of forgot to eat anywhere else in town the weekend I was here, no reason to eat anywhere else.

Staff was friendly but management was very unorganized. Rooms are small, and the floor of our room was very loose and noisy. Our bed was loose and noisy as well and a constantly noise came from ceiling. I would prefer looking for another place to stay.
