Beautiful Resort with a great staff! Rooms are very clean, common areas are spotless and the outside is perfectly maintained. When I first arrived, I thought that the resort might be a year or two old and was surprised to find that it was 17 years ago. The food prices are a bit high but you are paying for the convenience of getting great food without having to leave the resort. They also have offers and specials which help reduce the cost. Excellent Resort!

I love the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort. I went there for yoga retreat. Nice rooms. Beautiful grounds. I love the restaurant as well. We went after hours and the staff were very accommodating and prepared a meal for us and sacked it up for us. The Check In Staff bilked me twice for my room which created some complications but they did figure it out and gave me a small discount as a result of the inconvenience it caused to my banking card. The check in staff were really great.

This place is so calm and so much things to do. It a great trip without going far. Kids love the pool and the staff is great. I've been staying her the last 5yrs and love spending time with my family. They been doing some up grades and place is awesome. Pool is not crowded like other places. Have a fun water slide for kids and grown ups. I try to make this a tradition now to spend time here with family. There always some thing that people will not like about certain things and mine was they changed the menu in the bar restaurant didn't have anything for kids and they changed the great cheeseburgers they made but it not gonna make me not come to this beautiful place. Every year now I end up staying extra night and be here for 3 to 4 days. Thank u tamaya employees to make this place feel like home. Can't wait to stay here again.

The rooms are decent… the water park is OK, the dining is good, the horses are fun, the golf is acceptable… what they lack in "excellence" is made up in a really good value priced resort. The property is very "zen" and it's a reasonable place to get away from it all. I find the staff friendly and accommodating. Go to the 4 seasons in Santa Fe and have close to the same experience for 4x the cost.

It has amazing views and great wildlife. Great feeling. All of the staff has had great Disney type training. If I'm near New Mexico again it will definitely be on my list to stay. I never got the chance to play golf, but I heard it was great. Was there for strictly business.

Most amazing place ever! The staff was on point! Kind and courteous. The property is so beautiful. Everything was clean and well cared for. We were greeted with a house Margarita made with local honey! The pools were beautiful. The veiws were unforgettable. A delightful stay. We hope to come back soon.

Not particularly clean. My daughter got a bacterial infection on her skin after crawling around on the carpeted hotel room floor. Non responsive management — they messed up our room service order a couple times during our 5 day stay. I was told the charge would be removed from my bill but they never removed it. The restaurants on site are not good. They really are not! They overcharge and the cooks are not good! However, of course, the location is stunning. Not a lot do do, but the area is beautiful. The hotel is one of the better in the area too. But it still has a way to go to reach even 4 star quality.

High quality Resort, however located far enough away from anything. It is isolated, which can also result in an advantage. The rooms are nice and clean, not very spacious but tastefully decorated, the bathroom also. The bed is comfortable. Very friendly staff. The restaurant on the other hand seems to me can be improved: poor choice of menu. Nice walk in the greenery, up to the banks of the Rio Grande, which starts right in front of the rooms. I have been there for a convention, and from this point of view it is very good.

We visited here in the off season in April and the staff and service were superb. The room and grounds were well kept, both restaurants served up excellent food, plenty of parking, and the staff in the spa were very helpful. This review was written in 2018 I am thinking this facility is somewhere between 15 and 20 years old now. Some parts of the building are starting to show some age and wear and need to be attended to. Other than that, an excellent experience.

Nice place. I like the southwest decor. Most everyone working there was friendly and accommodating. However, I will not go back to the spa. DONT pay in cash and make sure you check your hotel bill for correct charges. The spa ripped me off twice, almost three times but I caught the charge before I left by looking at my room charges. I almost forgot the only nice formal restraunt that was there was closed 3 days out of 4 that we where there. So we had to eat at the bar or go off the resort to eat.

Such apretty and nice resort. Stayed here for a work reunion. They are pretty friendly and always say good morning! The place smells nice and is nice and warm. If you're traveling from the East coast make sure to bring some coconut oil.

The Hyatt is a wonderful place to stay. It has a lovely bar and 2 very good restaurants. There is a lot to do including visiting the horse stables and taking a trail ride.

We've been coming here for about a decade. It is a wonderful place with great staff. I've recommended multiple friends & colleagues and they have all loved it. Most have returned multiple times. The bar is great and the spa is exceptional.

I love the Southwestern decor. Awesome that it is right by the river and you can go walking around the grounds and down by the river. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere if you arrive for the first time at night. Keep going, you will get there. There was a lot of construction and remodeling going on in my most recent visit, which is good in the long run but annoying in the short run. The food at the resturants is excellent.

This resort is perfect for couples. My husband & I had couples massages in the beautiful spa. We enjoyed horseback riding along the Rio Grande and our wrangler, Andrew, was very professional and made the ride educational and fun. Their fine dining restaurant, the Corn Maiden, was closed during our visit but the menu looked like a lot of fun for gourmands. Professionalism abounds. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This resort is in a very quiet and beautiful location, but it struggles with service problems and renovation disruptions. Unless you are getting a super discounted price for your stay, you may be disappointed, especially in winter. We were double-billed during our stay, and it took them more than a week to fix their mistake. Front desk staff were unenthusiastic about our arrival, and the complimentary margarita was a sugary plastic letdown. The restaurant staff had noticeable problems seating guests for brunch, and one of the bartenders seemed bothered to make drinks. There were mechanical issues in the room and gym, and half the rooms and lobby were shut down for renovations in December 2017. Only one pool was working, but it was not heated enough to enjoy a swim. To their credit, they try to schedule many activities for kids, but almost all of them cost extra, they skimp on supplies, and insist on reservations at least one day ahead. The quality of food in the main restaurant is outstanding, and the portions are large. Rooms are clean. Nevertheless, it’s hard to fully relax and enjoy the resort with many annoying shortcomings in service, infrastructure, and policies.

Tamaya Resort is simply AMAZING. It is the perfect getaway. Hit the trail on horseback and you'll feel total peace and calm. Visit the spa and your stress will melt away. Or just sit out and enjoy the views. The restaurants and shops are first class. The staff are very courteous, super friendly and helpful. Best weekend getaway ever!

Catered food at our event was cold and if you don't care for mushrooms, you were out of luck on food choices. Room was clean and quiet. The margaritas at check in were awesome.

We stayed for four nights during Christmas break at this hotel. Let me warn you, this is going to be a long review. I would start by saying that this hotel has a great potential: the location is great, the facilities are good, the food is delicious, the pools are good too (only one slightly heated pool and an overheated whirlpool are open during winter months, no slides). Now with the level of customer service they need a lot of work to be done. We were greeted by a very unhelpful lady named Sheryl, who made us feel like it was a huge favor checking us in. We asked our questions just to hear unclear answers from her, and she didn’t even bother to look at us when she was talking because she was too busy charging our credit card (somehow it took her a long long time and she of course didn’t bother to explain our charges). Ok, we thought it happens, people get tired, or have bad days. Moving on. The rooms are nice, the mattresses are comfortable. The view from the main entry area is absolutely great. Another incident worth mentioning is that they do offer an array of activities for the kids and adults, even mention they have childcare. However, you have to reserve it all at least 24 hours prior to the day. Except for a few things. Like craft making: my son chose a $12 package to make three bars of soap, all seemed well until the instructor poured the microwaved soap into the molds, she filled them 1/4 of the depth of the mold! You could hardly see any shape of the mold.

Thought this would be a nice place for family to stay from out of town. Great atmosphere but lacks a real luxury hotel spa feel. I think it is past due for updates. The evening patio setting is nice. The staff could use etiquette training. New Mexico does not seem to have a large pool of happy or friendly people to choose from for staffing. Not horrible but not all it is cracked up to be.

Classy hotel. I only got to see the meeting rooms, but it was nice. The staff was helpful. The snacks were unique and tasty.

Amazing setting. On the way up from the airport it wasnt very impressive until you get outside of town. The rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is excellent, very accommodating. The food was outstanding with the southwest flair. Would stay here again.

Excellent location. The view from the resort is A+ especially during an Autumn sunset. I was there for a conference event so I can't review the rooms but the common area was very clean and organized. The only thing I can complain about is slow Wi-Fi, but other than that I had a great experience here. Very close to Santa Ana casino and a bunch of excellent trails nearby.

Great place for a night away to be with your significant other or on your own. This is a fantastic location hidden away from the busy valley. It has a very relaxed and happy atmosphere. Wonderful food and very helpful and friendly staff. Just try not to be too sad when you have to leave this lovely place.

I am staying at this hotel for a confernce. It is a fantastic hotel. The room is cozy and warm. The conference rooms are great. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

The vast skies and beautiful sunsets set along the Rio Grande make Tamaya a favorite place to stay. The service is outstanding. From the moment you walk in the doors are held open for you, the aroma and warmth of the fireplace envelope you. It is like being transported back to ancient times.

Beautiful location, with many great outdoor activities such as a trail beside the Rio Grande, and a golf course. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The only "complaint" that I could make is that it is not very convenient for those who are looking to stay in for a good portion of the day, seeing as there are very limited television options, and 0 free movies available.

Beautiful hotel. Recieved complimentary margarita upon check in which I loved. Breakfast buffet was superb. Beautiful atmosphere and caring staff. Loved every minute of our delightful stay.

Clean, comfortable. Staff is friendly and attentive. Beautiful property. Far enough out of town to feel isolated but not too far to go into town.

Had a nice mountain view room. Tamaya is on the small size of all the Resorts we've been to. Only 1 bar with dining. Bar at Pool area with service from pool boys & girls. Found all run-ins with staff to be pleasant. Not far from other things to do: Take the train to Santa Fe for the day. Try a Hot Air Balloon ride. Old town Albuquerque. Casino. Must see: Horse Rescue area. Walk along the Rio Grande. Golf course. Would I go again? Probably, but not anytime soon.

By q I like the atmosphere of this place and also the chido of the staff.

The rooms were very clean. They have many swimming pools but you have to pay for most of the activities.

Beautiful hotel with New Mexico charm. Great views of the mountains with hummingbirds roaming around. The bed was comfortable. The TV was big. And the food was good.

Wonderful Environment. Friendly knowledgable staff. Beautiful pools with a fun water slide. The bartender has a perfect mix ratio. All around pleasant experience. Absolutely recommend.

I felt like having to pack a lunch my room was so far. The room set up was strange, No liners in trash cans nor were they located in the usual places making it inconvenient. For the price (& I had a special rate) I didn't think that particular room should have cost that much. While there is a resort fee, I don't think a complimentary tiny margarita is worth the $35 fee. Maybe they should have told me there were Smores and what else that included verbally, maybe I would have taken advantage of those items. Room was clean but don't believe I'll stay there again not to mention I'm a local and I could just go home. The hotel is kept up nicely and loved all the hummingbirds. The paths and grounds were great.

I was just outside the place and the view was beautiful. The super clean place and the customer service was excepsional.

Peaceful resort right outside Albuquerque. Room had a view of the sandia mountains, and seemed like no one else was on the sane floor. Balcony also showed off the carriage rides they offer. Not sure if it was extra, but looked romantic for couples, and fun for families. Did the massage, the golf, and the room. Would love to go back.

These guys have it down. Its an amazing place to relax for a weekend, they have 3 separate pools, one four every age group. The rooms are very well designed, and large. Most rooms if not all have a very nice balcony with a nice view. There are activities throughout the day including live music, horseback riding, trails to hike, and much more.

Spent a wonderful week in Tamaya August 2015 and will return for a repeat this August of 2016. Everything was enchanting from walking trails to staff, from vistas and dining, from spa amenities to surprised. The spirit of the place is inviting and peaceful. Truly have nothing but praise to share. Enjoy!

People whine about a lot and mostly negative feedback is what hits a place. People that are happy with a hotel, restaurant, etc usually don't leave feedback. I just wanted to take time and let everyone know that this resort is amazing. The food, setting, activities, managers, staff, and everything else is perfect. The overall feel has a very peaceful and relaxing self empowerment energy. They welcome nature as a whole instead of pushing it away. Too many hotels try to push nature away and the only reason we survive on this planet is because of mother nature. I love the herb garden and the humingbird/nature area. It was so peaceful and awe inspiring. (Add a couple of chairs so that guests have the ability to sit and relax). The completely fresh margaritas (no store bought margarita mix crap) are to die for. I had no problem paying the price for them because they are delightful and worth every penny. Katie (waitress in one of the restaurants) is amazing, she was on point and brought a calming and inviting sense to the dining experience. We are doing the camp fire story telling and the horse back riding. I am very excited for this. Thank you very much. This is the highlight of my 2 week vacation!

Very nice resort north of Albuquerque. Complete with spa pool golf course hiking trails and beautiful scenery. Great rooms nice restaurants friendly staff.

Such an amazing property. Fantastic service, quality food, incredible location and stunning views. This is a great luxury property and one of Hyatt's best.

I think the overall experience of this resort is great, which a few complaints which leave me from making it 5 star from the current 4 star. The pools need to be climatized, they are freezing. Minus the adult pool. And an addition to the adult pool, their should be an adult hot tub, so we don't have to cross over to the other side with kids screaming. Overall it's a great experience, but if these things were taken care of, I'd be a regular overnight guest with no problems.

I went to dinner for Father's Day with my family at the Corn Maiden restaurant. As always, the food was fantastic, the service was swift and impeccable and the atmosphere was lovely. I had the rabbit gnocchi for an appetizer, which was tender, the pasta al dente and with just a little bit of spice undercutting the sweetness. I also had the rack of lamb, which was again, very tender. If I would change anything, their beer selection is like a lot of fancy restaurants in that it tends to be a bit limited in favor of an expansive wine collection. It was a bit on the pricey side, but if you've got the money and the time to drive all the way out to Tamaya, I highly recommend it.

We ate at the Santa Ana Cafe. We have noticed the quality has degraded over the last year. The service and quality of food were poor. It used to be a gormet food buffet but now Golden Corral would be a better choice. I have given them multiple chances hoping for improvement but it appears that won't happen. I would not recommend Santa Ana Cafe anymore.

It's a very nice place and they take care of their guests. It's a little far away from society (we don't currently have a vehicle) but the seclusion is actually pretty relaxing. They have a shuttle that takes you to the casino nearby where you can call a taxi/uber/etc from if need be. There's golfing, tennis, pools, etc and all in all it is a nice place to stay.

Great customer service and very friendly staff. We had a great view of the mountains from our room! Pools were heated and there is a private "quiet pool", which is nice for guests looking to relax in a quiet atmosphere. The family pool included a large water slide and plenty of room for sitting and lounging. Room service was prompt and the food was good. There are several restaurants throughout the hotel. We had awesome green Chile cheese burgers. The outside fire pits and indoor fire places are a great place to relax in the evenings.

Room was awesome. We had the very end of the hotel but the view was amazing. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff was helpful.

We ate at the restaurant located in the hotel for dinner last night. The dinner was superb. The hostess and our waiter were excellent and attentive. The food was delicious and the presentation of the food was amazing. The restaurant itself is very clean nland nicely decorated. If I'm ever in the area again, I would eat here again.

This is a great resort. If you're looking for a nice place for your large group to meet, or you want a romantic getaway, this is the best place to come! The staff is amazing and the grounds are beautiful.

Extremely disappointed at the type of way they treated me. I obviously paid for the night and even so they still went up to my room in the middle of the night at 3:00 am and harassed me asking me if I paid for the night which of course I did. This is not acceptable they should manage their booking and customer information correctly right from the beginning.

Spent very little time at the resort but what time I did I was pleased with… 4 stars due to upkeep of rooms, not dirty but quite outdated. Please add outlets for guests as the only available in our room was the bathroom.

Stayed here during a conference. The staff was awesome. The food was great and the overall atmosphere was great I wish I had more time to explore the grounds.

If you are looking for a personal get-a-way or a company retreat I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa. We had planned a Company Convention here and it was wonderful from start to finish. Karen Gauze and Jena Brazil were amazing. From the planning phase to the last day of our stay nothing was missed. Thank you to Karen, Jena and the Resort for a relaxing and fun time.

A friend and I had the new Royal Treatment at the spa. Dianna was professional, knowledgeable, and so soothing I can hardly remember the details! It's a little pricey, but worth it for the amazing zen experience. I also thoroughly enjoyed the steam room and whirlpool too. The whole weekend was great. I will be back for the relaxation, and my husband will be back to hit some more golf balls.

I am a local and have been here many times. I've used the spa, eaten at the restaurants, and stayed overnight. The grounds are beautiful and we have taken pictures there many times. Thursday my Marine Corp. Son and his new bride went to take some pics between the wedding and reception. My son was in full dress blues. He was kicked out. He was told to pay a $2000 photography fee or leave. My son said he felt like a criminal. Apparently The Hyatt is not Military friendly! I will never go back there or to any Hyatt ever again.

Great service from the door people, chef, wait staff. Everyone goes out their way to be friendly and helpful. And the scenery is magnificent.

A great experience! I only wish I could've stayed longer.

Visited the Resort in July. This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I where visiting from Atlanta. The Resort is very beautiful and the service given to us was incredible. Upon arrival the bell attendant Francisco greeted us in. He was very polite and escorted us to our room. He help with our luggage and answered all of our questions. The rooms are absolutely fascinating and comfortable. The pools are best of seen. They are all heated and salt treated. The water slide is the funnest thing ever. The food at the Santa Ana Cafe downstairs in very delicious, especially their breakfast buffet. I am absolutely coming back next year.

My wedding ceremony on Saturday — Venue was beautiful! Service was excellent, food was amazing, and room was perfect.

Amazing resort with an amazing staff that bend over backwards to accommodate a family on vacation. We had a trip that we won't ever forget thanks to the beautiful staff and gorgeous surroundings on the resort. Can't wait to come back.

I had a birthday celebration at this property recently with a very unpleasant outcome! The waitstaff and management were unable to keep up with the pace of such a party. They were unable to keep track of orders from the guests and ultimately dumped the excess they were unable to account for on one persons bill! The bill consisted of 32 mixed drinks, beers, etc. For the 3 adults! I find this to be either illegal as for as serving laws or extremley unethical. Overall this was a very disappointing experience.
