If I could rate this less stars I would! Warning FECES AND COCKROACHES! AND STILL CHARGED FULL PRICE! Arrived in our room that was “ready for us” with old dog feces under a chair (supposed to be pet free), did they even clean the room for us prior to arrival? I think not with dust on counters and on shower shelves. Had to get ready for bed as we arrived late, then woke up at 1:30 with live moving cockroaches! We also had bed bug bites by morning! Immediately dealt with this by having to move hotels and the front desk… felt it was fine enough to charge full rates for our 2 nights! Disgusting on all ends. Never again. We want a refund! SO GROSS. Do not stay holiday inn express!

Large rooms, the lighting is fabulous, and its clean. The only thing is the restroom toilet needs to more quieter because when refilling you can heard the water refilling n traffic you can heard.

Very happy will come back. Has walk up breakfast. They will let you know what they have available and bring it to you. You do have to take back to your room to eat. They had pancakes, sausage, muffins, yogurt, hot and cold cereal, fruit, OJ apple juice, and coffee.

Under these difficult circumstances they were very helpful! No food service in hotel but breakfast snack bag per room occupant. Rooms were very clean & comfortable.
We have not stayed before at this location but we definitely will in the future if in Albuquerque NM.

I just had the worst experience at this hotel. I stayed on March 22nd and 23rd with my family in room On the 23rd I woke up and noticed round rashes on my arms. When I got in the shower I noticed I had more bites on my lower back. I opened the curtains of the room and went to check the bed as soon as I lifted the bed skirt I saw a few of these bugs crawl away and noticed there was a nest of them. I picked one up in a cup. When I looked at the sheets (which were very worn out, you can see it in the pictures). There was a blood trail and next to it a dead bed bug. I called the front desk and the GM Elizabeth Saenz answered. She told me that if I wanted a refund that I had to wait for an inspector to give her a report because she needed to know if it was bed bugs or fleas. (As if that would make a difference). I let her know I had one in a cup and she told me upset "You shouldn't be moving the bed because they are going to spread" as if they weren't all over already. I work at a Holiday Inn Express and I booked with my employee rate and I told her It was not about the money that this shouldn't have happened. Not once did they go and check the room. She did not take my contact information or offered to follow up. She did not look or sounded concerned whatsoever it was almost as she already knew or didn't care. She did give me her card and said that I could go to the doctor If I wanted and that I could contact her to get their insurance information.

Run down and shabby. Extremely noisy rooms! Neighborhood is nothing to brag about. Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Wow. On the way to the holiday Inn express one of my kids asked me why I always stay at a holiday Inn express. I told them because I know I'll always get a good quality stay, even if it is a few bucks extra. Well I stand corrected. Where do I start… For a thousand miles my kids talked about getting in the pool. The pool was closed for maintenance. I asked for a quiet room to get some sleep, they put me in the room on top of the boiler room, and the water pumps ran all night long, kept me and my three kids all all night. The sink was clogged up. The pull out sofa was so worn out and dirty… The shower walls were falling off and the pipes made this loud screeching sounds when you took a shower. The vent in the bathroom did not work so after a five minute shower you had come back out quickly or risk losing consciousness. When I asked to talk to a manager the guy at the front desk said they would come in later and would call me when they did. No one ever called. Avoid this place. I'm very disappointed, and will certainly not be looking for a holiday Inn express as my first choice for my future lodging needs. So disappointing.

Loved that it had two full size beds and the couch folded out into another full size bed. Worked out great for my family and I. My mother on the other hand had a different experience, but that may have been due to Hotwire not booking the rooms properly. Overall was a good stay.

The Holiday Inn rooms were okay. The customer service in Albuquerque was a bit lacking when we checked in so it was better in the morning with a new person that come in for their shift. I guess the night shift step probably tired and work overnight. It was disappointing that they didn't have enough wheelchair accessible rooms to offer us one when we checked in so I would recommend that you always make those arrangements as far as advanced as possible.

The facility itself was decent and up to expectations. However, my group had 2 rooms. One room had no towels (only some washcloths) and a pair of dirty socks on the floor waiting for us. The other room had no soap of any kind. We got in around midnight. The lack of basic items was not a welcome find upon getting into our room. When we informed the desk the following morning they did not seem too concerned about the serious lapses in their housekeeping. In fact, their response was to inform us that we are welcome to call and ask for more towels, as if having even a single towel in a 4 person room wasn't a normal expectation to have.

We stayed at the East Gallup NM Holiday Inn Express. Check in went great. The guy was great that checked us in. Room was great. We had everything we needed. Breakfast was a disaster! It was a tad bit busy but not over too busy. The lady that was doing the buffet never spoke to say hello, most food was out. Granted I have worked in the food service before and been a customer. I have never seen Someone to act as she didn’t care. She took her time to get food out. Played around with trays that already had food. We were sitting where we could see park of the kitchen. There were biscuits and eggs in the little oven. We waited over 25 mins to get biscuits. When we tried speaking to the lady at the desk she made up excuses that it got busy pretty fast. My committ was to watch the camera to see what the lady in the dining room was doing. The only thing the lady at the desk should have said that she was sorry and they would get it fixed. The food we did get was good but service was bad enough that I will never stay at this one again.

Come and see Tanya! She is amazing. Other than that its a nice clean hotel, comfy bed. Good shower with nice smelling shampoo. The microwave is super old but it works haha.

Can't Express how grateful we are. After an un"elegant" visit with your competitors, our whole group was welcomed with open arms by Tara at your front desk with nothing but accommodating words followed by actual action, later assisting us with pool needs. In the evening after a misunderstanding at the pool, Brian was able to inform us of the properties policies and assisted our group with maintaining alignment while enjoying our stay with friends, both professionally and respectfully. This was crucial for our group, being from out of state for tournament needs. Your team is beyond 5 star.

Conveniently located near the highway without traffic noise. Hotel has an outdoor pool, and it was freezing with no towels. Spacious room with separate seating area/sofa bed but the tiniest bathroom. You have to step aside to open/shut door and can't open the door unless you put away the bath mat.

I've stayed here a few times for business because of its location but no more. Bed was very uncomfortable. Heater/AC unit was so noisy I had to turn it off. Walls and floor are paper thin. I heard an alarm going off in one of the rooms at about 3 a. M. And it went off all morning. Just old and rundown. There are better hotels in the area if you have to come to this crappy city.

They have nice large rooms with kitchenettes, very good breakfast, friendly staff, lots of hot water. The Wi-Fi on our room was a little slow.

I booked a room for two nights and so far everything has been nice. The room is clean nice and spacious the bed and linings are very comfortable. The only negative thing so far is the lady the serves the continental breakfast was very rude when asking a simple little request. And don't even try getting anything after breakfast is over. Came down no later then 10 min after closing and was very rude when asked to if I could grab one more thing. And this was the day of day lights savings so alote of people wear showing up late and was rude to everyone (the tall black lady) (the little Mexican lady very nice)

Very clean, nice looking hotel. We arrived late to check in and although I had requested a king bed for me and my husband, we had been assigned a double bed instead. The very nice lady at the front desk offered to swap the room for a king size bed instead at no charge. The hotel seemed kinda empty too so maybe that's why. We forgot to pack shampoo and so even though the room came stocked with it, my husband has a lot of hair so he asked for some additional bottles and she obliged as well! In the morning there was a massive complimentary breakfast, the best I've ever had at a hotel! I'm definitely sticking to Holiday Inn Suite brand hotel from now on!

Review of HI midtown, near I25 and I40. Older HI express, but clean, kept up, typical breakfast choices like newer HI but with bacon. Friendly services. Check-in was quick, staff knows her job. Very spacious King bed room, seating area, kitchen area, big Desk. Washing sink separate from toilet and shower. The price matched older HI, which is just fine for travelers traveling from East to West US like us. We would return here again.

This was the most unacceptable appalling hotel experience I have ever had. I was told to leave the hotel after my girlfriend was told she was a hooker. They called the authorities and two cops were at the front lobby waiting for us. I am a premier IHG member. I own a business. I am well respected. This is not how you treat anyone, ever! I have a case with Holiday Inn from about two weeks ago. They promised to get with me within 48 hours. No one has. I am pursuing this and will not give up. It is tragic and should never happen to anyone ever again.

Great hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night but it was easy to find, plenty of parking, and the staff was very nice. The room was very nice and big. I liked the bed and pillows although my husband did not. Everything was clean. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. Shower water pressure was amazing. My only complaints would be that the bathroom did not have a fan for the shower steam or other smells, our 845 am wake up call arrived at 824, and they ran out of pancake mix for breakfast. Overall, great experience and I would stay again.

Stayed here last night on our way back to AR from AZ. Much better than our two days at Holiday inn Express in Banning, Ca. Breakfast buffet was actually taken care of well (fully stocked, and plenty of food, which is an important part when traveling). Friendly staff and fairly cleaned rooms. Also decently priced. No major complaints other than the 'hot breakfast' not so hot. I can live with that, compared to our bad experience in Banning where most key items were missing all together at the breakfast buffet. Will come back!

Holiday Inn employees make it more like Holliday Home. The rooms are spectacular, beds very comfortable and employees are the friendliest and most sincere, caring I've ever encountered.

Bathrooms are not fit for handicap. Had to use restroom in hallway. Pillows were lumpy. Need replacing bad.

I will never stay here again. My car was broke into and the hotel staff lied and said they called but did not. I was notified by the police banging on my door. Then I was told I needed to leave since my car was broken into. They wouldn’t refund my card so I could stay somewhere else. I would recommend that no one else stay here! So disappointed in the way the whole thing was handled by the staff.

Staying at this hotel is worth it just to be able to see miss Tanya in the morning. She makes you feel like family! Also it's a nice clean little hotel with good staff and the shower pressure is great.

Stayed here last night with my daughter & 4 yr old grandson. Room was wonderful. It had a fridge, microwave & sink. Very clean & wonderful breakfast. Fresh made pancakes, biscuits & gravy, cheese omelets and sausage & bacon. Highly recommend!

Holiday Inn Express, is exactly that. Express. The lobby is beautiful but the beds are uncomfortable. I know they aren't cleaned well because I found long strands of hair on our pillows from the previous guests. The shower head, settings cannot be changed, sprayed so much water that I needed to place towels because it was leaking out. Express shower indeed. However, the continental breakfast is good, the lobby is lovely and the guests are quiet. 3 stars. Will I stay again? Probably not, unless it's the only option.

Great location for this holiday inn! We were staying as a pit stop. The staff was very accommodating! Room was clean, lobby and other common areas were clean and well kept! The pool is open until 1am, which is great for the late arrivals and perfect way to tire out the kids from a long ride! The have a large HOT breakfast offered in the morning. There's tons of options and definitely accomidating to most dietary needs.

I had a very good experience with this hotel. My room was large for its type, and very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was both good and free. I requested and received a generously late checkout, as the front desk staff were incredibly professional and accomodating. This was a five star experience and I would happily recommend this hotel to others!

Comfortable beds, room was a King bed with pull-out sofa. There was a microwave and sink/wet-bar in the room. The room had a full-sized desk that made working from my laptop easy and comfortable. The shower/tub and toilet area were incredibly small, but the room overall was larger than a typical hotel room. The decor is a little outdated, but clean and functional. Parking is free. The hotel is easy to access off the interstate and there are restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Holiday inn Express & Suites in Albuquerque for one night. Rooms were spacious and fairly clean. Everything worked properly. There were a few stains and such on the carpet and drapes. The door to the bathroom hit the light fixture each time it opened and closed. Breakfast was fairly standard. One elevator was broken, but there are two, so we were covered. Pool was refreshing.

Consistently you can't go wrong staying at a Holiday Inn Express and this place is consistently good. Typical breakfast with hot eggs and sausage and the regular cereal and yogurt. A/C works all-be-it a little on the noisy side. The two bed configuration my room came with was interestingly only the size of a super single or possibly full but certainly not Queen or even Double bed sized. No problem as I travel alone so I enjoyed the 4 extra pillows. The pool outside was nice and refreshing, clean and quiet. With microwave and mini fridge in the room along with the complimentary breakfast, this hotel does well for those road warriors like myself.

Great hotel! It is right off the freeway, which made it super convenient. There are so many little restaurants close by. The room is quiet and clean. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast did leave something to be desired but as far as hotel breakfasts go, it wasn't bad. My kids enjoyed it and that's what matters. The pool was a little cold for my children, I wish more hotels had heated pools. But we would stay here again because it was definitely a good experience.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and decently priced. We did have an issue with the bathroom, and it being a holiday weekend, housekeeping was MIA so we had to take care of it ourselves. But the front desk clerk was awesome! He was very friendly, courteous and professional. He wanted desperately to move us to a fresh room, but after we decided that that would just be more work for both parties (it appeared he was the only staff on duty), he provided us with the supplies we needed to clean up. Then he went above and beyond and surprised us with a decent discount off our original bill. Russ is a one-in-a-million employee that Holiday Inn should be proud to have on their staff. If ever in Albuquerque, this is the place to stay! Thanks again, Russ!

The location is right in the middle of everything my family and I wanted to do. The rooms are always so clean and well presented. I also have no complaints about the service. Everyone that I've come across are polite and helpful. Holiday Inn is my number one hotel to book anywhere I go.

Rus the night clerk is always willing to help with issues even when I show up at 12am with no reservations. Then there is Tanya who runs the breakfast area. Good food and always pleasant smile and conversation.

The services and rooms were woderful. It was nice stay.

Room was very nice. Although the set up was a little wierd.

Very Clean and friendly staff. Normal hotel breakfast. What made it only a 3 star for me was the bed and pillows. They had soft and firm pillows in our room, I did not like either. The pillows were too big for me. I felt like my head was up too high. I could not get comfortable with them. The beds were hard. This made for a night with little sleep.

I has a bad experience in the parking lot opened the Doors of me car and stole my stuff and management would not help me at all.

DON’T STAY HERE THEY STEAL! I stayed here during the balloon festival for 5 days and they never changed my sheets and the bathtub was dirty I had to clean it myself. The toilets did not work properly. And despite my best efforts to keep my valuable safe the cleaning lady still manage to steal my perfume… and when I informed Russ at the front desk he laughed… Tanya the dining lady was very hospitable and Ron in reservations was accommodating. The two stars are for Tanya and Ron!

The staff is extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. Especially Tanya who works in the dining area. Because of some business that I had to take care of in the mornings I was late getting to the dining area but she went out of her way to get me something to eat. It's this kind of treatment that will keep me coming back! Leo.
