It was a great stay quiet and just Awesome.

Third time here in past few years. Always clean and affordable. Beds are comfortable, staff are excellent, never an issue coming here. Definitely recommended.

The rooms were comfortable and spacious. There is a welcoming entrance with a nice restaurant and lounge. It's a welcoming place if you're looking for something small and personal in Lakewood.

Read a few reviews before coming and almost decided against it. I don't know what they were talking about because my room was perfectly clean, no smells, the front desk people were helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back. Probably one of the best rooms I've had. Hard wood floors, spacious, pool was clean. No complaints whatsoever. 20 minutes from 6 flags and seaside hights. Plenty of food places around. Don't hesitate, stay here!

Had to ask for towels each day other than first day. They did not change bed linens. Should have stayed in a dive for more than half the price of what Ramada charged. Maybe people in New Jersey may believe this place is good. But not where I came from. First time in a Ramada and it will be the last.

My only complaint is that check in is at 3 and our rooms weren't ready until 7. But we did get a free drink voucher for the wait. We got the 2 queens suite and it was amazing! Like having our own apartment. It saved us money on eating out to have a full size fridge, dishes, etc. The place was clean and quiet. Great experience.

It's a 2 star hotel in Tom's River. Nothing spectacular and a budget hotel. Rooms are dated, some staff are attentive while others were disinterested. Had to stay for a work event otherwise I would have looked for other options. The conference room was large and accommodating for our training and the hotel kept the air conditioning nice and cool. Overall, a decent 2 star location with a McDonald's, Starbucks and other options close. The hotel has a bar/cafe with daily specials but I didn't venture in to check it out.

Drunken fools were allowed to scream & talk in the hallway in the middle of the night, for a long time, without the front desk or security caring one bit. Our non-smoking room also reeked of cigarette smoke, the safe was broken, and stranger hairs were on our towels & pillows. I will not stay in a Ramada ever again.

Room and service weren't bad… except for reserving and confirming day of that I reserved a King size bed room, and then arrived to be told they had no King rooms available so I got a 2 "queen" size bed room (in reality it's two full size beds). I was given no discount and the only compensation was a pass for a free breakfast because that helps make two people fit on a bed they didn't ask for.

Room was nothing more than a converted closet (still had the window in door-it was literally just painted over) cheap basement style stand up shower — and to call it a supreme king room is a joke. Worst hotel stay. Bed was comfortable at least… I guess 501 was the real room, and the 501A (the only room with an A designation in our building) was an afterthought.

Great stop for business travel. Clean room, quiet locale, friendly staff, and a fun hotel bar.

If you ever need a place to stay for a day, a week, or longer this Hotel is A++. Margaret who runs the front is not just helpful but goes way out of her way to help you. You need something you don't have to wait hour's she right on top of it. They do the best weddings, showers, any party you may have think about the Ramada by Wyndham in Toms River, NJ.

When we arrived at the hotel there was a prom or some type of event. We had to maneuver our way through the crowd blocking the entrance. At the end of the prom, vehicles were pulling up to the entrance for pickups with loud thumping music. Hotel front desk staff were friendly and courteous and always greeted us with a hello and smile whenever we walked by. Room was clean and comfortable but could have used a better chair. That being said, our stay was enjoyable. We would stay here again.

Was in town for a basketball tournament. The hotel was welcoming. Got to checked in early. Staff was great. Room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Wish there was a microwave in room. The only thing is the ice machine on the third floor was dirty and was getting dirty ice (and I love ice) overall me and kids had a comfortable time at the hotel and it was quiet.

A Comfortable Stop-off for Brunch; or drinks and Tasty vittles while staying near Lakewood, New Jersey; Tom’s River. Why not take a break from stressful traffic?

Went to a wedding and The bartenders Michelle and Gloria were so awesome and friendly, made the perfect drinks and remembered my order every time I went to the bar, definitely recommend A+++

Staff was fairly friendly and the rooms were clean and very nice. Wasn't too crazy about the super hard floors in the rooms (fake wood throughout) and the breakfast was ehhh… But very nice.

Nice clean great service. The attendant put us in a nice quiet room even though they were having a wedding on the first floor they put us somewhere where we won't be bothered by the music. I slept like a baby.

Very good hotel, but could improve some easy stuff. Comfortable beds, nice service and the breakfast is OK. On the other hand, the room is too dark, and the curtains don't have blackout, and the AC/heater could be noise free.

We have been at this motel several times over the years. It is neat, clean and a good value for the money. The staff is friendly and accomodating. We did have to request a new room for this stay, because our no smoking room smelled of smoke. Request was instantly granted and the new room was smoke smell free.

This was a beautiful hotel and nice roooms. The only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because there happened to be a wedding the first night me and my family stayed. The wedding party was extremely loud and obnoxious outside of our Windows and doors. The foundations of the building need to be updated to keep out noise. Other than that the staff was really friendly. The check in and out out process was fairly easy as well.

We arrived at the hotel very late after a wedding with 3 sleeping kids in the car, only to discover that our "suit" was a flight up with no elevator! We drove back to the front of the hotel and the man at the counter was very understanding and accommodating and gave us a ground floor "suite", however the next room we received smelled terrible and the thermostat was broken so the heat was blowing all night, even though I turned the thermostat to off. Needless to say it was not a pleasant stay at all. The lady at the from desk the next morning apologized and offered some partial refund. I booked the room with points and haven't noticed any refund yet. So overall nice staff, substandard accommodations.

Clean rooms, some of the staff is very friendly some not so much. Front desk does not follow through with request. Executive Suites are quite and the rooms are dark enough to sleep in. Pots are very cheap. Need to bring your own measuring utensils and a good knife.

I did not like the room that measured that I reserve it with time… and the price that page was not to medieran that crap room…

Stayed for one night to visit my girlfriend's family and everything was great. It appeared to have been recently painted, the room was clean, and the location was very quiet. Thanks, Ramada!

Very nice hotel. The lobby is beautiful and modern, if not a little crowded due to a giant plant in the center. The room was recently renovated and above average for a hotel room. I attended a wedding in the ballroom which was fine for any occasion. The food for the cocktail hour was excellent, though the filet at dinner was overdone.

PLEASE READ IMPORTANT… I just stayed at this Ramada Inn recently in Toms River, N. J. It was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel stay and I've been in a lot of hotels and cities when I travel for work. The rooms had a overpowering scent of perfume when you walked in or something which gave me a headache which affected my sleep, the beds were so high I was thinking of renting a ladder to get on and off and I am 6ft tall and my feet were dangling off the bed when I sat on it and the pillows were enormous and hard as a rock also there was no microwave for the price of the room $150 a night. I was on the 2nd floor and right under my window there was a tailgate party happening in the parking lot with a grill fired up with charcoal and this lasted the whole night until 11:00pm — 12:00am, how does a hotel let this happen on their premises, I would think sensibly that this would be a fire hazard if not anything and disturbing other guests and where was security. The bottom line is that I will never stay at that this Ramada Inn in Toms River N. J. I would rather sleep in my car and with the tailgate party and guys drinking I did not feel safe. I would recommend that everyone stay away from Ramada Inn.

Easy to find an easy to get to off of Route 9 in Toms River. The food and drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was beautiful. The hotel room was spotless as well as the bathroom. We had an awesome shower, and a very comfortable bed.

Very nice staff. Great parking. Catchy music in tropical style lobby. Clean rooms great price.

This is a nice hotel, but the room color was boring and lacked basic necessities such as a microwave. The pool closes for the Fall so that was disappointing. Guest service was welcoming and helpful.

I'll add photos in a little bit — main areas are all nice and clean. The rooms are spacious but super dated (mustard yellow walls vinyl the works) and contained a smell of old sweat mixed with heavy cleaner that may be just my experience. Mind you the rooms were clean linens smelled fine it was just a lingering odor heaviest in the bathroom. The beds were more so if you like a very firm mattress less so if you like some comfort.

My girl was hurt and I cry in the middle of the night at 3 in the morning, the hotel sent me to the police to get me out, they're crazy.
Aside the last day they came to threaten me to pay them at the door of my room.
I don't recommend it at all, look for another option.

The place is clean but the bar is very expensive.

Main hotel is fine for short stays. They have suits / mini apartments in the 2 separate buildings that are better for longer stays. The restaurant is a bit pricey for breakfast and did not open until after I had to leave for work each day. Would be nice to if the restaurant opened earlier.

Decent room but no sound insulation. Hallways smell of smoke (and smoke alarm inexplicably went off once… Nobody reacted). Wi-Fi doesn't work well On the other hand… all the other hotels in the immediate area seem worse.

The hotel itself is beautiful. We attended a family wedding in their Versailles Ballroom, which was amazing. We booked 3 rooms for a very premium price due to the holiday and 2 out of 3 rooms stunk of cigarette smoke. Absolutely disgusting. The managers offered no solution other than an air purifier which did not work. We ended up having to argue with the people behind the desk every night we stayed. We had a first-time mother pregnant with us in our party and this was an absolute nightmare for everybody.

Attended a wedding at Ramada Toms River. Rented a room for the night. The room was very nice. Spotless. The staff was accomadating and the wedding went off without a hitch. Highly recommend.

Obnoxious wedding party blocked our exit and hotel security did nothing. Keycards did not work at all entry points into building, and so we had to walk around a long route in order to find our way inside. Only one of our keycards worked to get us in the room.

Just left the mothers day buffet it's was outragous! The room was freezing, coffee was crappy instant. The "server" if you could call her that was no where to, be found. The one time she did show to deliver our beverages she forgot half of them and never returned. Had to get a manager to get a soda. Went there with my family breakfast was cold and roast beef was dry like a bone. Was not told that our large group could not split the check per family unit (4 families) when asking them why corporate added 20% tip to the bill and splitting bill would cause issues with, the tip. Are you kidding? How do they get away with, that? Since when do you include gratuity at a buffet? The server didn't do a damp thing and now she earns $80.00 tip? I will be sharing this tasteless visit with everyone I know! This should have been told when reserving as a group! The food and service were what I fear most about eating out…

Thee absolute worst! The overnight desk person Chris is the worst hotel staff memeber I have ever encountered! Not only was he rude, he was very aggressive with my wife at check in and made her feel uncomfortable. His attitude was disgusting I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

The room and hotel were perfectly fine. The check in was a nightmare. I reserved 6 rooms for me and my family. I was the first to arrive and paid for all the rooms with my card. I told the receptionist that my family would be arriving over the next hour. After waiting for about 10 minutes as the receptionist struggled with understanding what I wanted, I was checked in went to my room. About 20 minutes later my sister in law called me to please come back to the front desk. It seems my card was used in error to pay for 5 other rooms than ours. I had to wait while she went through the process of cancelling the other charges and checking me in again. I then walked my brother and sister-in-law and my mother and father-in-law to their room where 3 out of the 4 keys didn't work (of course these rooms were the farthest away from the desk). Things just got worse from there but I'm tired of writing about it… Suffice it to say I would not recommend this hotel.

The staff and atmosphere were great. Cocktail hour drinks and food were stellar. Dinner left too much to be desired. Other than that, this is the second event I have been to here and have never been disappointed.

I stayed in the executive suites (rooms 501-63? ) Heads up, these rooms not in the main building. They are behind the building past the tennis court, nestled right next to the woods… :-). This can be kind of creepy if you are staying by yourself. These two buildings have 2 floors, no elevator… so just back underwear and socks unless you missed your morning workout then this is the workout for you :). I can't say there was anything spectacular about this room, I was glad I have somewhere to sleep. It was clean for the most part, I didn't have any crazy sightings that would make me cringe. I will say they didn't give me a hard time when I needed to switch rooms due to the fact that the first room smelt like a cigarette factory, you know that moment when your breath is taken away… well that was that moment and it wasnt because I saw my prince charming. I hope this helps.

Front desk is dreadful. Took us 20 minutes to check in. Then later in the evening, I asked if they had some plastic ware or silverware I could use. The lady at the front desk was very short with me and basically shrugged her shoulders and said, "I'm front desk, what do you want me to do about it? " Other than that, there are no food options in the area past 11am unless you have a car and don't mind fast food drive thrus. Room is nice, laminate flooring, refrigerator, comfortable bed. So if you don't mind the horrible front desk, it's ok.

Beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Friends of mine were getting married and the event staff was great too. I wish I'd known about this venue when I was getting married.

I was there as part of a wedding. The hotel itself is beautiful and the wedding staff friendly and helpful. I'm not so sure how I felt about our service from the front desk however. There seemed to be a bit of miscommunication and we had a little issue getting into the bridal suite. Otherwise all around pretty descent service!

Attended a wedding at this location. The venue was spacious yet intimate. Great location for parties and weddings.

Dark and out of date room. There was no elevator so we had to carry it bags up two flights of stairs. The bed did not have a cofortable, fluffy blanket.

The main building is beautiful. Too bad we didn't get to stay there. We were sent to the building in the back, with no elevator, (we aren't disabled, but our luggage was heavy. ) And paper thin walls (with noisey neighbors). 2 out of the 7 nights we stayed in a non-smoking floor, it smelled like cigarettes. The staff seemed apologetic for the smoke, but that's as far as their hospitality went. There was a stain on the floor, and two of the light fixtures hummed. We also had to replace both our key cards twice, because they both randomly stopped working at the same time. (Imagine climbing up the stairs to your room, and having to go back down, drive to the main building then have the manager tell you it's not their fault. ) Wi-Fi kept going out. Oh, and BREAKFAST IS NOT FREE! We should have known, as there are not advertisements for it being free, but… come'on! Otherwise, house cleaning was very good, sheets and towels were clean. Some quick places to shop and eat nearby. But anything more extravagant you need to travel for. My suggestion? Book somewhere else if you aren't booking the main reception room as they seem to cater towards weddings more.

The front desk person, Matt, attempted to eject a large group of us for multiple noise complaints. We attempted to explain to Matt that we were not the cause of the noise complaints as we had just arrived after being getting back from a restaurant, literally less than a minute prior to his forceful attempts to remove us. He advised that he was be calling the police, and we (at least me) didn't think he was being serious, though, he was. Our group attempted to explain to Matt that there was no physical way that we were the cause of any noise complaints, though none of us were able to have any rational conversation with Matt, as it would continuously throw his arms in the air and walk away (similar to a child being told that he/she cannot have a cell phone). In the end, the police reasoned with him to allow us to stay, though we were told to "go to your room, don't leave, and don't say anything" — we were on hotel house arrest. Needless to say, none of us followed that and later found many others being loud in the hallway. The full story was too long to put in as a review, so this was the condensed version. I filed a complaint with the owning company.

Beautiful hotel. Newly redone. VERY CLEAN! Big bathrooms. Hard wood floors in the room. Very homey, warm feeling to the entire hotel. Will be staying here again! Highly recommend to everyone!

I stayed at this hotel last week for a wedding and I was very happy. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The bathrooms were nice and everything smelled great. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. I have no complain.

I stayed at this hotel 3 times this summer and have nothing but great things to say about it. Dell Sutter and Anthony Venice were extremely helpful and polite during our stay and I feel like I knew them for a while. The hotel was always sold out when we stayed and our rooms were always clean. The only issue was they didn't have "extra" pillows when the hotel was sold out which I would purchase more to have on hand. We stayed in the Suites behind the main building and they were very nice. No elevator though which if you have heavy bags or are elderly could be a problem. I would definitely stay here again and hope to see those smiley faces. One other recommendation would be have breakfast included. People like that extra bonus when staying at a hotel.

I booked this hotel through Hotwire and was extremely disappointed with my 1 night stay. The hotel was newly renovated, however upon walking into my room, the odor was unbearable. I called the front desk to ask for room freshener but they did not answer even letting it ring 25 times (there were 2 people working the front desk, 5 minutes prior). I walked down to the front desk to address my concerns and they asked me if I wanted to switch rooms. I did agree to check out one of the rooms that was available on the 1st floor. The front desk did advise me that it was a smoking room prior and it may still have an odor. Well, it did! I decided to stay in my room but asked to have house keeping come back in and deodorize the room. It was satisfactory but was only the beginning of my issues. Since I drove all day I decided to stay at the hotel for dinner. The soup was fair and the service was good. Unfortunately, I ordered a Shrimp Caesar Salad and only had a few bites. I am one not to complain, and quite honestly this is the first review I have ever written, but the shrimp was not fresh, it was chewy. The waitress did take it off the bill (even though I was not looking for a comp). She was very apologetic and maybe even a little embarrassed of the poor quality of the shrimp. After a disappointing dinner, I went back to my room to finish up some work. At this point, I was cautious and may have even been paranoid about the cleanliness of the hotel.

I stayed here for my friend's wedding. We were all madly in love with the bridal suite! There was plenty of room for all the bridesmaids to get ready there. My standard king bed room was great too. Everything looked fresh and new and clean. So glad they renovated and converted to 100% nonsmoking. Such a cut above the average Ramada, and tons nicer than the average jersey shore hotel.

This hotel is absolutely awful. Booked 6 rooms for a wedding months ago with a credit card. Unfortunately in the interim our Visa number was changed by the bank because of security reasons so when we arrived at the hotel to check in they had given away our rooms. Claimed they called me at 4:00 to explain the credit card issue. Hello! I am at the wedding! Wouldn't let anyone check in earlier than 3:00 but by 4:00 they gave away our rooms. Representative at the desk was surly. The rooms we finally got were noisy, couldn't turn on the air conditioner because the vent rattled. Couch was grubby and several of the rooms were smoky smelling. Yuck! Wasn't' clear when we reserved that the rooms were in another building a walk away. Would never stay here again.

We booked a room block for our wedding that we were having on site. The staff was very accommodating in getting us rooms, even though it was their high summer season. The feedback I got from my guests was all positive and the suite my husband and I got was spacious. Overall, it's not the Ritz, but it's a perfectly serviceable hotel and super convenient for on site weddings.

I've never been but would love m think go on this holiday.
