We had a wonderful experience at the Marshall Slocum Inn. Breakfast each morning was delicious and expertly prepared by Mark, and the rest of the staff was helpful and polite during our entire stay. The coffee was always fresh, a huge plus for someone like me who enjoys drinking it randomly throughout the day. Should we ever visit Newport again, we know where we'll be staying!

We spent a lovely three days here; the rooms, furnishings, gardens, food were wonderful! Mark and his wife were so very gracious hosts! I’d highly recommend it and hope to return again! Everything was in walking distance!

First off I am not a bed and breakfast kinda girl. Well, staff and bed and breakfast was amazing. Cozy yet large and super clean. Breakfast included and ️amazing and the parking my God the parking in the summer beyond hard to find with a quick walk your near shops, bar and the water. I would stay here for every visit to follow when in Newport. Great job to the staff and ill be seeing you soon! A must!

This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and we absolutely loved it! Our stay exceeded our expectations. The food was excellent and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved all the little details, like warmed coffee mugs and freshly made baked goods in the afternoons, and would definitely come back!

Loved staying here! Great location to walk and explore Newport. Incredibly friendly staff, clean rooms and delicious breakfast. We stayed in the apartment located next door to the main house which came equipped with coffee and kitchenette. Will definitely be back again soon.

Absolute diamond of an American b & b. Stayed here with family for 4 days this May while attending local wedding. Hospitality was wonderful and the breakfasts cooked to order by Mark the owner and chef were super. Felt like home from home and very comfortable. We will be back when next in Newport!

Beyond expectations. The host was amazing. Location is perfect to walk to town, plenty of parking. There is tea/cofee/water available anytime. Breakfast was amazing, not just one choice as many places but a menu. Great advice on where to go for meal, shopping and etc. The place was spotless, well decorated, it is one of the best inn I have been at. Would definitely come again.

This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and we are big fans! We were treated so good and felt so comfortable. Best night's sleep I've ever had on vacation. The french toast breakfast was unforgettable! We can't wait to go back!

The Inn was wonderful. Great location for getting around Newport. Chef Mark was very helpful with suggestions for dining and touring. Breakfast out on the deck was delicious. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Charming B&B. The owner is pretty relaxed and the back patio is great during the warmer season. It's location is okay and within walking distance of a the beach trails, but you're better off driving or taking one of their bikes. If the staff offers to help you get tickets for the house tours keep in mind that they charge an extra fee per ticket.

We had a great time. Staff is amazing. Breakfast is heaven. Recommended.

Although there was no brass in the brass room, it did make me feel like top brass when staying there, thus earning it's name. The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of all the shopping and sites of Newport. Kay Street is quiet and beautiful, especially during the daffodil days in April, when we stayed. The breakfast was very tasty, and well presented, yet on the light side. Perhaps I have been spoiled by other bed and breakfast s that I have stayed at, but we had to eat again by 10, while walking around Newport. The price was quite reasonable, and I would consider staying there again.

Great experience and great location.

First and foremost the owner was so friendly, and is also a fabulous chef! Don't miss breakfast on the back deck! The room we stayed in was so cozy, comfortable, and much more spacious than I expected. The historic charm of the room was enhanced with modern bathroom facilities. We enjoyed the front porch swing, and the peaceful neighborhood. This place gets an A+ from me and my husband.

Never been to a bed and breakfast. The owner was very kind and welcoming, beds were very comfortable, bathroom was modern and clean. Definitely would come back and recommend to anyone who stays in newport.
