If you actually enjoy New Hampshire and the rustic feel (which I'm sensing some of the other reviewers probably don't like because of their comments) then Maple Lodge is absolutely lovely. I spent almost an entire summer there and it was basically a dream. As far as the "noise" goes, all I ever heard during my time there was birds singing and guests enjoying themselves, with the exception of some rare evenings when you can here the close-by racetrack (which is actually a really cool thing to see if you're into that sorta thing). In reference to the cabins themselves, if you are a good consumer like most of us are, you understand that these are CABINS and not mansions. So yeah, if you decided to go with the most economical choice which is literally called "the baby cabins, " don't expect a ton of space to do yoga inside it or whatever. In reference to the bathrooms, specifically the one "reviewer" that said they're too small, the bathroom size absolutely depends on the cabin you decide to rent, and even the smallest bathroom is about twice the size of an airplane bathroom. When it comes to the cabins across the "highway" — — a car drives by like once every ten minutes, it's not a big deal AT ALL. If you're across the street and you have kids that want to swim in the pool, treat it just like you would ANYWHERE ELSE (including at your home! ) and make sure your children know to look both ways before crossing, and obviously supervise your offspring when they're swimming and crossing the street. The pool itself was actually better than I originally expected it to be — — clean, heated and all. I would 100% return, and in fact I have many times, everytime bringing someone new, and they've never had anything to complain about. I hope this helps anyone who is considering a stay in the White Mountains/North Woodstock area!
