Review of The Inn at Thorn Hill 3*

My wife and I booked a three-day stay at the Inn at Thorn Hill for our honeymoon at the beginning of June in 2018, a time when the North Conway area of NH has not yet gotten busy for the summer, and we had an absolutely wonderful stay! The Inn itself is beautiful and well kept, and our room was spacious and comfortable. It's also conveniently located only a short drive from both Mount Washington and North Conway. While there are a number of small restaurants and inns in the immediate area, the Inn at Thorn Hill is located just a few minutes from North Conway, a large stretch of commercial real estate with lots of restaurants and shopping including a number of Outlet stores all located in the same development. No matter what you're looking for you can certainly find it in North Conway, whether it's a place to grab a bite to eat or a good price on some new sneakers from the Nike Outlet Store (my wife's favorite! ). Mount Washington is one of the primary reasons people visit the area, and the Inn at Thorn Hill is only a short drive from the base of Mount Washington where you can drive the historic Mount Washington Auto Road and enjoy the view at the summit of the tallest mountain in the Northeast. We only ate at the restaurant at the Inn once during our stay, but the food was prepared quickly and was excellent. The menu selection is upscale for our tastes, but we were still able to find something that was to our liking. In the morning free coffee and pastries are offered in the lounge in addition to the formal breakfast served in the restaurant, and you can just sit and enjoy the beautiful view out the many windows in the lounge. The staff are what really make this place wonderful as they are not only extremely friendly and courteous but so very helpful! The Innkeeper, Nancy, suggested the White Mountain Puzzle store to us for souvenirs, and mentioned she thought she had seen a coupon in the weekly paper. Before we could protest she was calling the store and asking if they would honor the coupon, and although the coupon only applied to a specific item they agreed to honor the discount on our entire purchase anyway! The owner of the Inn, Steve Lambert, was there on a daily basis during our stay and was just as kind as his staff, buying my wife and I a round in honor of our honeymoon and later not only making our only meal complimentary, but also offering us each one of their beautiful coffee mugs as a token to remember the Inn by. If there was one thing I could change about our trip it would be how quickly it went by! I wish we had stayed for a week but we only had time for a short honeymoon before we both had to return to work. However, we will certainly be back to stay at the Inn at Thorn Hill again as we could not have had a more pleasant, relaxing and memorable experience especially thanks to all of the staff at the Inn at Thorn Hill!
