Reviews of Rodeway Inn & Suites Las Vegas Strip 2*
Don’t believe it’s as good as the internet says. The photos are deceiving. Most rooms have old bulky tv’s, they have only one hanger, one trash can. The was as hard as a box spring and sounded like it too, the pillows will give you a kink in your neck. They don’t give you extra towels and there were no pool towels. It’s a good location, you can walk next door to the Tuscany for a small casino and a couple restaurant because “the breakfast” here is horrible. I could go on but I’m running out of time. But hey if your really on a tight budget, like the tight owners that won’t put any money into it. If they would it could have potential.
Absolutelly not recommended!
The door couldn’t open at nigth and they said we should sleep in front of the door in the corridor!
What?!?!?!?
Good place and friendly people.
NO Don't book! Not only did I booked this hotel online when we arrived they informed us we didn't really have a reservation because they don't use that online booking service but "they'll match the price" I had to pay again for the booking and get my money back myself from the booking company. He told me his rooms were (we did not pay this amount) $200 a night because of the event that was in town. I'd never pay that much ever for a rinky-dink place like this. The room was old, no alarm clock, no do not disturb door sign, and on top of that on Sunday housekeeping stole my black pearl owl watch ring I had just bought and took my hair towel of all things. They even rustled through our things. We will not do business with them again. I've paid less for 10x better.
My car was stolen from their parking lot and the staff was incredibly unhelpful.
I thought most reviews were over reacting when I first got here, but it's pretty bad once you look around. Prices seem low, but are pretty high for what you get. My room was a jacuzzi suite. The jacuzzi has pink algae and black mold. There is an iron burn on the carpet, torn up walls, cracked tiles, tiny bugs everywhere, and the A/C unit is outrageously loud. Breakfast is a little worse than I expected, again seeming fine at first glance. They have some gross oatmeal, and then bread, pancakes, and toaster waffles. There are two pop up toasters, and a rotating toaster that doesn't work. Because there are only the two working ones, the line gets huge quickly. The hotel definitely needs updates, but even a deep cleaning would make a world of difference. There are better hotels around for much less.
I came from LA area in CA. We are dealing with triple digits temperature here and I knew that temperature will be triple digits through out the whole 24 hours Vegas life, I was expecting the AC to be blowing nothing but cold air, first night wasn't enough but after that we had to turned down. I see lots of bad reviews but I did my home work and for $70.00 a night "YOU WILL NOT" find better location, I get it, the place can look a lot better but for $70.00 within walking distance from the strip? I needed a place to rest after my extra long nights and this place gave me such a great comfort. I will come back with out any hesitation "I LOVE TO SAVE MONEY WHILE I SLEEP".
Friendly desk staff and somewhat worn but adequate and clean accommodations. We booked this hotel for the extended parking through parksleepfly and it was a terrific price! The hotel has satisfactory rooms, a very nice pool, a business center, a small complimentary breakfast and a free shuttle to the airport (and back again. ) It is also just a couple of blocks away from the Vegas Strip… but there is a casino right next door too if that is what you are looking for. I would book this hotel again just because the price was so good.
Well our room the AC wasn't working (current temperature 104), the TV, the oldest model I've ever seen, when I got there, the beds were supposed to be queen which they weren't, the complementary breakfast was awful, only waffles, boiled eggs, white rice, ugh l, I wouldn't come again.
For the very low price I paid ($40 including the weekday room rate and resort fee), I am impressed. This hotel is not on the strip but it’s close to downtown. My room was very clean and everything inside it worked including the air conditioning, the shower, the sink, the mini fridge. There’s a little pool outside that’s cute and would be fun for kids, nothing too special, but nice. The continental breakfast in the morning is kind of the same thing, a lot of cheap toast, oatmeal, Eggo waffle type stuff, but enough to fill you up I am impressed. That said, while I was here, the back windshield of my car got broken into. This could very well just be Las Vegas. But be very careful with locking your car and not having anything in visible site. The manager refunded my stay and was nice about it.
Not very far from the center… Good reception.
Don't stay here. It's a dump. I've stayed in dumps and this place is pretty freaking bad. We got a Jacuzzi suite. It was scary. Sure, it's outdated. Who cares, that's to be expected for the price. But when you walk in and the floor is so dirty your afraid to walk around barefoot. When the AC makes a god awful rattling noise that no one in their right mind could possibly sleep though and apparently someone tried to fix with packing tape. When you open the cupboards and the ROACHES scatter. It's a dump. I brought the staff at the front desk a roach I had killed as a present. I don't think they appreciated my gift. But they were nice, apologetic and dealt with me being upset in a professional manner and refunded my money. Don't stay here. If you absolutely have to, make sure you get plenty hammered so you don't care about where you sleep.
Absolutely the nastiest and most ghetto place I've ever stayed. Everything is outdated and falling apart. Carpets are disgusting and the grounds are dirty. The pool was too cold for anyone to swim in even though it was June 1st. The pictures on the site don't match reality. The breakfast was basically frozen waffles and toast. No cereal, fruit, milk, or juice. The handle to our building fell off when we tried to get in. All the residents has serious issues getting key cards to work. Don't stay there!
We had a one night stay. We were in a room near the pool. The room was clean. We enjoyed our stay. Two things I didn't like. We spent 20 min searching out ice machine. Finally asked front desk. And second There was a lot of leafs and stuff inside hot tub. It needed cleaned and filtered.
Very friendly the place is pretty comfortable, the pool not in use but it was clean and very nice. The bad breakfast very poor… only coffee and toast mermeladaz oatmeal, hard-boiled egg and white rice.
You can't expect much for a little money either. I would appreciate the cleanliness in our hotel room because you can't complain. In addition, the mostly friendly staff responded quickly to complaints. In our case, a defective toilet. In about 10 to 15 minutes you can walk on the strip. Breakfast is a disaster and you can safely dispense with it.
Room was ok. There was no safe that I could find. The pool was nice but the water was too cold (late April). Never got around to it, but there is free breakfast before 10am. Ice machine was on the second floor on the bridge between building 2 and 3. For how cheap it was, it was pretty decent.
Fair rooms, hot water, clean. Asian style Breakfast. If you are looking for an american buffet, not the place to stay, but still free breakfast and coffee. Rooms away from lobby area, need to walk through parking lot to get to rooms on second building. Good deal for the price, they have free shuttle from the airport.
It is well located, but the blocks are long. Spacious room, comfortable bed but smell of confinement. Building away from the reception. Breakfast very bad, poor, no fruits, cereals, yoghurt, without variety of baked goods, a few tables and at 10am promptly turn off the light even with passengers having breakfast… very descortes the deal.
Customer service is abysmal. My party had an issue with a reservation and they offered no help and at times were just plain rude. They do not widely post their asinine policies on any of the booking websites so you are completely surprised when you get there and then of course they don't offer any help. When you finally fix the problem yourself they offer you useless guarantees that they break the next day. To top all of that The rooms are dirty. There were dried French fires on the floor of my room. They shower had dirt and hair stuck in the drain and there weren't enough towels and the towels that were there were falling apart. Do not stay here. Any money you would save is not worth the hassle when there are literally a thousand other hotels in Vegas to choose from.
Spacious room with free parking. Breakfast.
The room in which I had stayed was dirty and smelled bad, the neighbor I had someone with a dog and it barked constantly. Asked me to change room but it was smelling bad. The breakfast very poor, no milk and the orange juice tastes syrup, the only thing good were the waffles.
Decent hotel. The rooms also have the necessary. We had 2 rooms next to each other, the first one had a nice flat screen, the second an old CRT TV, I guess they renovate the hotel room by room. Small negative: Waste remained 2 days in a row in our hallways close to our doors. We didn't have time to test the pool. The breakfast was the most disappointing for us, little choice, this is the first time we have not seen any eggs or bacon offered in a lodging in the United States.
Bissel come down… but otherwise OK.
Here's the thing; If you are going to Las Vegas to live it up don't go looking for the least expensive hotel. Fortune is a great hotel for a budget. Yes there could be a few updates but nothing to deter anyone from staying here at an amazing price. The hotel itself is right off the strip (10 minute walk-at most), decent beds (enough to sleep without worry), friendliest staff I have ever interacted with (always accommodating), great price (one of the best daily resort fees and lowest overall price), and good location overall (feel safe in the area). Yes could they maybe repaint the walls, have a better breakfast, add working hair dryers? Yes, of course, but why update and then increase prices. In my opinion you get a great hotel at a better price. Like I stated above, if you want fancy go to the strip and pay $150+ per night.
The room is similar to a Motel 6. It did have a fridge but an old CRT TV. A little aged but clean period breakfast needs to be improved on. No cereal or milk for the kids. No muffins or fruit. Basically waffles and pancakes that you put in a toaster and white rice and a little oatmeal but no milk to put on it.
The point is very good, near to Vegas Strip. The hotel is very badly had and dirty. The breakfast is cold and very basic.
This well located minutes from the strip, the rooms are spacious and clean, the common areas such as corridors could be improved. It is a budget hotel and go to sleep. The breakfast does not offer much but it is included and is very good at the pick-up service at the airport.
A cozy little spot reasonable and they have a free airport shuttle. A place to stay a quick night to lay your head. Walking distance to strip. They required a cash deposit of $100. I didn't understand that, but oh well. You got it back at check out.
The price is good. The sheets and room are clean. The location is decent. The front desk staff I talked with was nice. Nothing else is good. The hotel could have been so much better if the owner just invest some money to replace the carpet, change the furniture (including the mattress), have fresh paint throughout, and have a better breakfast. Not sure why it is not done. The return on investment is a no brainer.
The room very well, beds very comfortable. We have spent two nights and there has been no cleaning service in the room. The breakfast is not very varied, but something you can eat. The front desk staff is very friendly and you can leave your luggage the day of Check Out until you want to come back for them. In a 10-min walk, you arrive at the Flamingo, Belagio, Caesars Palace…
Very much in the years hotel. Room was clean and overlooked the strip, but without any problems I could have taken a bathroom tile as a souvenir. Moreover, the elevator does not work in the main building and it did not look as if it were working again in a timely manner. Breakfast is equivalent to American Standard (Tiefkühlpancakes & waffles, toast and hard-boiled eggs) but there are only plastic cutlery and cardboard plates.
The location is very close to the beach and the hotel is a short walk away.
I'm sorry to say that I have never been in a place that filthy or unmaintained. No coffee in the room, yucky breakfast, NO hot water! Thee 'pillows' were cases filled with lumps or rocks. The best part of the one night was the shuttle to the airport!
The fortune was well equipped for the price. It is only one block from the strip and is next door to the Tuscany. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. After travelling so long it was good to be able to sleep. Resort fees are low. Overnight parking is available without room :). The shuttle is quick to airport. Staff are friendly. Ladies, if your getting ready for a night out you should book one of the hair dryers. Good location.
A nice place to stay in Las Vegas, near to the strip. Good Place to be in Las Vegas, near the Strip.
Does not deserve to be called a Hotel! I stayed a week ago and it seemed to me a scam. The reception staff are very rude and irresponsible with the tourists. The breakfast is totally outdated (frozen waffles that at the end we were not able to warm up because the toaster was broken, drink Tang and cold coffee) or a single fruit, only flours of poor quality. The second night we stayed, the light is gone by 3 hours and we did not sleep all night because the fire alarm is active inside of the room, and never turned it off. They tried to solve the problem with a technician, we tried to get another room? no, not bothered in helping us, all night awake. For 70 dollars a night is better to sleep in any other place! totally disappointed!
Motel not terrible, to renovate, reception that requests a deposit already paid at the reservation, refunded by the booking agency.
Arrived on a late flight (around 1am) and needed an inexpensive place that allowed check-ins that late. Airport transportation was quick and comfortable. Friendly staff. Accomodations were pretty dismal, though it did the job and for what I paid you can't really expect much. Breakfast was included: frozen waffles/pancakes (toast them yourself), hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, rice and pickled cabbage, a few drinks (water, Tang, coffee, tea). Elevator had some issues. No bed bugs.
Room rates reasonable. The rooms are nothing to write home about but they're clean and tidy. When we arrived in our room it hadn't been cleaned from the previous cast. So the front desk quickly fix the problem and gave us another room. Then we paid for extended checkout. But they didn't leave the keys activated so we got locked out of our own room and paid extra to stay a little longer. So if you get an extended check out ask the front desk leave your keys activated.
The convenience of the hotel's location is good. The people at the front desk were all very friendly. The day we checked in we were told the elevator was out but would be fixed by the next day. We were here five nights and no elevator the entire time. We were on the third floor. The sheets on our bed were not changed daily as we expected they should be. We were always left two bath towels, one hand towel, and one wash cloth. We asked the housekeeper to please leave at least two wash cloths. It never happened. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. We only ate there one morning it was so bad. I would not stay at this hotel again.
Fortune was an okay stay. The room was a little dusty, and we didn't care much for the texture of the pillows/bedding, but the room was adequate and the location was pretty good… and for the price? It was great. Overall, we were very satisfied worth our stay.
This hotel was fine for a last minute, one-night stay near The Strip. The decor was pretty dated and worn, and the TV was a relic, but it did work with lots of channels. Everything was obviously cleaned, too. The breakfast was hardly worth going to the (surprisingly beautiful) lobby. All in all, it was precisely what I expected given the price, and not in a bad way.
This hotel is acceptable for the price that you pay, but I wouldn't want to stay there for an entire vacation. Thankfully, the negative reviews that I read online prior to my stay regarding dirty towels and sheets did not apply to me. The beds were comfy enough and everything was clean. It is also conveniently only a 10 minute walk from the strip. However, the hotel is definitely in a state of disrepair. The carpets were unraveling, the walls had peeling paint and missing trim, the doors were chipped away at the bottom. Our toilet clogged and overflowed and the front desk didn't even seem surprised. The TV was one of those old CRT ones you'll find for free on street corners that crops half the image off the screen. And breakfast was truly horrible (Tang, frozen Eggo waffles, frozen toaster pancakes, rice, and inedible oatmeal. ) But overall, it was fine for one night, especially when compared to the prices of other pet friendly hotels in the area.
The hotel is only a few blocks away from all of the Action that las Vegas has to offer. It is certainly a budget style hotel so don't be surprised to see a few things that are under maintained. I personally am using the hotel for the long term parking option they offer to the public. It is a very affordable option to park here as they offer a free shuttle to McCarran Airport, only 10 minutes away. So far I am pleased with their service.
The hotel was really out dated. But the employees were really nice. They offer free shuttle to and from the airport 24hrs. The location was in walking distance to the strip. Free breakfast no meats only toast, waffles, pancake boiled eggs and oatmeal. Late checkout to 2pm is only $10! Our flight home was 8 hours after checkout so they gladly held our bags and we return later to take the shuttle to airport.
It's nothing out of the ordinary, nice staff, nice pool, everything is maintained. I loved that their AC was working. It could simply use a spruce up to get a bit more with the times. Overall was a nice place not too far away from the strip.
The service is good we have caused a problem in the bathroom and we were helped directly. Top.
Pretty mangy room. For one night but okay. Advantage: 10 minutes walk to the Strip.
This hotel plainly just sucks! I've been to many hotels and this has to be the worse! Since we arrived to the room we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. My friend and I left for about 6 hours two nights in a row. When we we came back the first night, some stuff was moved around the room, which was weird. The second night the same thing happened but now my charger was missing. We flipped the room upside down but couldn't find it… On the first night I had put bags in the trash cans and they weren't there anymore. So I knew someone had been in the room. Also we had new towels and shampoo. I went to go speak to the unprofessional/useless staff they have, and they are no help! So please if you're staying here in Las Vegas choose something else, I know the price is cheap but it comes with sneaky ass people. So think about it when you're booking your hotel and find something else decent for your money!
I read through the reviews and decided to give this hotel a try. I wish I wouldn't have! The staff was rude and unprofessional. The door that was closest to our room was of course, broken. We ended up having to walk around the entire hotel trying to find any kind of signs to locate us to where our room was which was pretty miserable at 11 at night. When we finally got to our room, I was disgusted. The carpets probably hadn't been vacuumed in months so I'd recommend wearing shoes on your stay to prevent your feet from turning black. The room was hot and it took about 45 minutes for our room to be cool enough to even sleep. There was a hole in our bathroom door, the entire hallway smelled like weed, the fridge didn't work and our remote was broken. All of this aside, at this point of disappointment, I was just ready for bed. When I crawled into bed, the entire bed was covered in crumbs. I pulled up the comforter and noticed that the sheets had probably never been washed either. I ended up sleeping on top of the bed, out of the sheets. With all this complaining, I did have a warm shower and a convenient trip to the airport! Use caution when staying here!
For starters, I wanted this place to run my debit card as credit which every other business can do on this planet but this place could not. Since it had to be ran as debit I had to put 100$ deposit down in case we damaged anything. Funny thing was is the room was already damaged! We found some kind of food crumbs in our sheets which judging by other pictures wasn't surprising. We had cracks on our mirror and a hole in the bathroom door. The floor left our feet black just from being in our room for 5 minutes. Even if this is a cheap hotel you still expect some type of cleanliness. If it wasn't 1am and didn't have a flight to catch in the morning then I would have found another hotel.
The big plus of the hotel, it is located away from all the bustle of Vegas.
Inside, everything is clean, neat, but worn. The price is low for such conditions is quite adequate.
The room was small but adequate for what we needed. The brakfast was a little dinky but it made things really easy in the moring. The staff were super nice and helpful. I would stay here agin.
Very old, dirty stained carpet. Old 90's TVs, outdated furniture. The AC is noisy. And started leaking water at night, you could hear the water dripping on the carpet and on a bucket they placed behind the TV armoire, I suppose they knew it dripped. Anyway, if you're on a real real budget, I suppose it's a place to sleep. If you can pay 60 and up, go somewhere else.
As an affordable option just a few blocks from the Las Vegas strip, this is an appealing hotel for the budget traveller. But please keep in mind that the price you see in their online tool does not include all of the fees, etc. Expect another $12/night or so. OK, price aside, good location, quiet building, decent sized rooms, but dated. This hotel has not had a makeover in quite some time, it's not bad, but it's showing its age. Thing is, all of the above is acceptable, what wasn't, was the awkward stains on the bedding and the dog (I think) hair on the towels. The cleaning staff covers the basics, but don't be surprised by dusty picture frames and other such cut corners. I won't stay here again, but I hesitate to say you shouldn't, just come into this prepared for compromises.
I was enjoying myself up until I had only 1 towel in the room for 3 people; 2 children 1 adult. I will be complaining to the General Manager. Because the "acting Manager" tonight called me the "B" word under his breath when I said how disappointed I was with the hotel not being able to provide towels for their guests. I asked him to place himself in my shoes, and asked what he would do in my position. His response "well I don't know what you want me to do, I can't make them magically appear. " I explained how I liked him but that comment was just negative towards a guest who simply wants to put her children to sleep after 10pm. I am on a business trip, and I am completely not happy with the service of this hotel. Although I forgot this gentlemen's name, the employee working at this hour on a Monday night will be identified and complained about. Might I add he threatened to kick me and my children out of the hotel because I called him out on him calling me the "b" word under his breath and claimed that he was "looking" at his screen. This situation will be brought to the attention to the proper authorities. I do not expect for anyone to be terminated unless this is a habit; however, I want my money back from this night's stay and I want the appropriate General Manager to resolve this issue in a timely manner.
When we were checking in, the receptionist told us to go away because he was talking to someone. That was verbatim; his quote "can you guys go away until I'm done with this gentleman". The first rooms bathroom had holes in the sink and there were blood stains on the carpet. But the first room did not have a working AC. So we called for a second room. The second room did not have a functional AC either; but hey, no holes in the sink and no blood stains so I guess a win? The security came knocking on the hotel door at 1 AM, looked at me and said "whoops wrong room" The breakfast in the morning wasn't bad but it was interesting. Instead of orange juice, they had Tang. That's the closest I've come to feeling like an astronaut. Coffee wasn't bad. Oh. They charge a $12 dollar fee for reserving ahead of time and it's next to the "littlest gentleman's club in Vegas" (platinum club). The reviews there are mixed.
Customer service is not the best, rooms are filthy, sheets and pillows have stains, the whole place just feels dirty. Yeah Its old but they can at least keep It up. Every time we turn on the bathroom light it sounds like an emergency alarm went off. I am extremely dissapointed with this place.
When we got here the staff was smart with us and rude about our reservation. When we finally got passed the front desk and went up to our room none of the lights worked and no bags were in the garbage bins. The air did not cool the room off at all. There was stains on the bed sheets and chairs I was very disappointed. NEVER will I stay here again.
Good service for a cheap price per night. Free breakfast is terrible but you should expect it.
The staff was friendly and even though I arrived at 1am they were able to get me into a room quickly. Also the shuttle service to the airport was prompt and convenient.
The room was hot and the A/C didn't work very well. The beds were not very comfortable. Very friendly costumer service. Easy to find. Nice looking hotel.
Cheap, near to the main strip, breakfast was included, gets the job done. When you are at Las Vegas you should try to stay at the hotel as short as possible, it doesn't make sense to spent a lot of money on a hotel room you will barely use. I think Fortune Hotel offers the best value/price ratio.
Front desk staff not very friendly… really didn't make me feel welcomed just down to business checking me in and that was it. Some other staff members were friendly when I walked by. Room was decent for the price.
This hotel is garbage… eveything in the room is outdated. Walls are dirty, old dirty carpet, blankets look like they never been cleaned, old ass tv. Save your money!
Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Stained carpets, stained chairs, and stained bedding. Smell was horrible. It took almost an hour to get checked in after a long day in the car. Then our door wouldn't open it took three trips back to the front desk before we finally got someone to come try the door, they couldn't open it either. So they moved us to another room. Very bare bones. The whole place needs to be torn down.
For the price it was what I expected. It is a short drive go the main casinos on the strip and located off a major freeway exit. The staff was friendly and we appreciated the non smoking environment.
The price was cheap. The ceiling was leaking water from the floor above one time, and I the staff worked on it as fast as they could to fix it. They even offered me to switch to another room if I wanted. No smoking area indoors which is good. Wifi was so so, depending on the time of the day. Free Breakfast was adequate, not too many options beside waffle or toast.
The worst place EVER. My friend and I, two business professionals checked in and saw that the carpets were filthy and smelled mildew. We waited almost an hour for them to change us to a better room. We were ignored, then waited for another 30 min, no response. My friend was unhappy and asked for a refund, and said she would report the service, they claim she said she'd sue them, They called the police and had us escorted out. It was the most ghetto, and unprofessional response. I will tell any business professional I know to NEVER stay there.
I wish I could give this hotel a negative rating! This is a horrible place to stay! The first room they put me in was dirty & stinky. The king-size mattress was about 3 inches thick. I had to ask to be moved twice. The second room was even worse. The third room was slightly better, but still nasty. I only stayed because another party I was with had already made a reservation and we had to catch an early morning flight.
I did not like in adsoluto. The hallways are dirty. The bathroom sink was broken and horrible the cloth to dry they are old and worn. The sheets worn. Note: even if the price is too low is not a cause of lack of hygiene is the main thing. I do not recommend it. It is best to search for another hotel. Additionally they charge a Fee of resort. Now I wouldn't know which resort is this hotel? In conclusion. My rating is negative.
Horrendous place idk why this place isnt closed lol.
I have been to Vegas a few times but they were always turn around trips so I never stayed in a hotel. The one time I decided to stay a long weekend, it was also the same weekend as the Mayweather retirement fight so mostly all rooms on the strip are either over priced or sold out. I found this hotel, which is a nice distance from the strip and they were affordable. The check in was very fast and the receptionists were very hospitable. Despite what the reviews say, I will def stay here again.
I have been visiting Las Vegas for over 30 years and this by far was the worse trip ever. They didn’t code the keys so I had to go bad down to the lobby to get them RE-coded! Then the desk person was giving me a real attitude "like she was doing ME a favor? " Then upon getting into my room the TV remote didn’t work… I had to wait over 35 minutes for the maintenance/security/shuttle driver person to arrive. Two guests in the room and only enough towels etc. For ONE guest. A stain of what appeared to be blood on the box springs under the mattress. I called for a wakeup call and directions to the breakfast at the hotel in the next morning and the "night auditor" couldn’t tell me where in the hotel it was and started yelling at me in the phone. I went down to the front desk to give him a piece of my mind and he was so busy tending and texting on his phone he never knew I was there. Upon checkout (we left very early Sunday morning @ 4:30am). They held our credit card for incidentals. I requested a receipt showing a zero balance. The night auditor said since we booked on Kayak he couldn’t give us a receipt. I said that had nothing to do with the checkout only the initial booking. Again he said he couldn’t give me a receipt. I told him that I wasn’t leaving without a receipt as I have seen errors occur wherein credit cards get charged and it wasn’t happening to me. He took 15 minutes while I waited to decide to hand write me a receipt. Unbelievable.
Where do I begin? I came in with low expectations when I saw its location. But yet, they managed to bring the bar down even lower. Let's start with sharing the same parking lot of a tittie bar. But I still went in, remembering it's just a place to sleep while passing through town. Everything seemed to work just fine. The hotel room itself wasn't half bad. Better than most motels, yet I paid a $10 resort fee here. Not sure what considered it as a resort but that's common for vegas. But that's not why I'm writing this review. This is for the customer service. At 2am, the fire alarm is going off in my building, building 3. A hour goes by, alarm still screaming and security can't shut it off. During this time, no one is trying to accommodate our disrupted stay. So finally I just packed up and checked out. After a refund attempt was a failure, I had to go through the traveling site I used. They understood my concerns and still refunded me after the hotel refused with them as well. Their excuse was because I was there for 8 hours. Seriously, are you serious Fortune? If you're looking to redo this hotel (according to the inside construction) I'd also redo the staff. Bonus, only a 10 dollar pet fee.
This was the worst hotel I have ever been in! When we first arrived we were given a room that already had people in it. When we were given a non occupied room, the bath tub had black mold in it, the air conditioner did not work, the room was overall very dirty, and it had bed bugs. I am a nurse, and trust me when I say this place is hazardous to your health! When I asked for a refund they were very rude, but agreed to it. Just when I thought I was done dealing with them I noticed a charge on my credit card that I had not authorized. When I called to inquire about the charge they told me they would not refund my money, and the manager would not talk to me. They said they charged me because I stayed int the room half of the day. I was at the hotel for less than 30 minutes. I could not wait to get out of there! They absolutely stole my money. I hope you do not stay here, for health reasons and to not have your money stolen!
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. They take a mandatory $100 cash deposit for every reservation, regardless if ypu psy by cash or card. Wierd. When we checked in the hotel lobby was nice. The room was discussing. Very dirty and we found dog poo in the floor. The door barely locked and several outlets did not work. When I spoke to the front desk the night staff said she couldn't move us because they were full. But she did say the morning manager would adjust the $69 charge. Only because there were no other rooms available in Vegas, we were stuck. The next morning at check out, after discussing with the new front desk person the ordeal and showed her pictures She's said she could not adjust anything. I asked for a manager, who was sympathetic at first, I showed him my pictures than walked him to the room. In the room he apologized & proceeded to tell me he didn't have authorization to do any adjustments. Which is very funny for a manager to not make problems right. Back in the lobby I asked for the owner or someone above his head and he told me that if he got him, that " he would throw me out of his hotel". Very rude and unprofessional. Very bad bussiness practices. Essentially I thanked him for his time and left. I will be pursuing this until this wrong is righted. I would have expected that kind of thing from a $20 a night hotel, but wow, just wow.
July 3, 2015 — bed bugs, bed bugs, bed bugs. We arrived early at the hotel and were told that we had to wait til 3 pm. Back at 3 pm and we're told that if we paid with debit card, we had to pay a $100 deposit (when we made the reservation no one told us that). So we paid. Went up to the rm. Left our luggage and left to the strip. We came back at 2am and by 3am were awaken to the bed bug bites. We caught 3 on napkins and 1 got away into the crease of the headboard. We called the front desk and they didn't seem to concerned. They sent security/shuttle driver/rm inspector and he saw our proof. They offered us another rm and when we went to see it, it too had bed bug droppings the other one had a spider on the bed. That's when we decided, NO WE ARE LEAVING THIS DUMP. Later I caught a big fat one that came out of the headboard, it left a big blood stain. We asked the front desk for our deposit and were told that the manager had to approve it and he would be in at 9 am. Front desk personnel are RUDE, RACIST and UNCOURTEOUS. It was 4:30 am and we knew we were not going to find any rooms on this date or time so we waited at the casinos. We came back at 9 am and he never showed up. The rm. Had lots of damage to it, the TV was old, we only got 1 wash cloth, 1 hand towel and 2 bath towels (we were 3) they were very coarse and thin and the a/c made an awful noise. We didn't try the breakfast bar and are glad we didn't based on other reviews.
This hotel was very basix. Not many ammenities, really horrible breakfast, and kind of shady looking inside and out. But, it was cheap. Thats about all the good I can say.
Not bad for the price! We were scared by the reviews but for one night it was not awful. We checked the mattress: no bugs. The sheets were clean. Free breakfast even though minimal. Weird stain in the sink but it was not dirty. We slept fine and paid little.
Good hotel with regard to quality-price breakfast is very simple not to trust only bread waffle and paquecas! But with the price already the breakfast is extra! The location is excellent, two squaring of the strip I go and I come walking, the bus passes in front if you need to go further. The bad thing is the receptionist of the afternoon is a chinese super hateful good as the majority of the chinese did not have the charisma for the customer service!
We miss you already, Fortune! See you next time we're in Vegas… Best value for the dollar within walking distance of the strip and some mighty great staff too. Thanks!
I have stayed at the hotel twice, once last summer and once very recently. My first visit was for 2 nights and we got the basic room with a king size bed. I was happy with the room, the bed, the bathroom (the shower was huge and the water pressure was amazing! ) The room even had a larger sized mini fridge, and a great view of the strip! There was a small sofa and desk, so there was plenty of room to move around. I saw some reviews about bed bugs, so I checked for that right away and found no trace of any bugs. THANK GOODNESS! Aside from the carpet being older and looking somewhat dirty, the room was clean. And I am a bit of a neat freak, so this is important to me! It was due to this stay that prompted me to book again! The second stay was not as pleasant. This time we booked the more expensive mini suite with the jacuzzi tub and kitchenette. I was a little mislead when I got to the room and saw it did not have the separate stand-up shower next to the jacuzzi tub, like I saw in the pictures online. I guess they only have one room like that, and it is the executive suite. I was ok with the jacuzzi tub/shower combo though. This room had no view though. Apparently when the hotel was built, they put all of these particular rooms on one side of the hotel, so there was no possibility for a view, unless again, you got the executive suite. So another small let down. The first room we got, the a/c wasn't working, so we had to switch rooms, but it was just next door.
Never again! They charged me 10 dollars because I checked in before 3pm. They said it was an early check in fee. They did not have any sign for this. They also charged me 10 dollars for a late check out fee since I checked out after 11. Again no sign.
I dont know what happened during some others stay with this hotel but my partner and I LOVED IT! When we get into check into the hotel the clerk upgraded us to an Executive suite. We were first timers to Vegas and with the free shuttle and helpful clerks we managed to do some sightseeing and walked around vegas. The staff were so nice and friendly! The breakfast was yummy.
No Stars! Worst experience ever. If it wasn't because we got there a little early this Friday 2/27/15 and closed the curtains to fall asleep we would of never noticed that they were bed bugs in the beds! DISGUSTING! Service was bad and racist! Never again! Filty ass hotel.
Totally horrible hotel I have ever been, Hal way smells, bedshits are like paper, old fridge, outdated TV, sinks are not cleaned neither shoer, everything is yellow and pale Don't mislead by pictures they put on internet but real review before booking it I will say better be somewhere else than here. I wish I can give 0 start to this but I cant.
We stayed at the hotel for 3 days and were very pleased with the stay. The staff was very nice and clean the rooms were also in order. It is not far to The Strip — 10 minutes on foot. A good hotel which can be recommended for those wishing to visit the city.
I wish I could give this Hotel a zero, but it won't let me. I have read several of the complaints and I agree with all of them. I travel to Las Vegas quite often and I hope for the sake of the owner of this hotel that he checks the reviews. I don't even know where to start. Bed sheets didn't even fit the bed. I had the sheets (they felt like sand paper) come off during sleep. I don't move much, but it didn't help that you could already see the mattress before I even climbed into bed. The sink was filthy and rusted. I understand it might be an older hotel, but I have done maintenance in apartments before and I know you can get a touch up paint specifically for sinks. The hall carpets were very dirty. I felt gross walking through the hall ways. The downstairs restrooms had no soap or paper towels. I asked the front desk about this and the next day it was still not taken care of. Poor customer service. The breakfast bar had nothing good on it and the stuff I did see looked old and outdated. I never tried the food as it looked horrible. Now for the big one. I was appalled by the lobby music that they were playing (they said the manager turned it on). The song was literally saying the F — word and the B — word almost every other word. I thought I was hearing it wrong so thanks to Shazam, I was able to capture the song that was playing. If anyone wants to see the words (I would recommend you prepare yourselves) the song was "Loyal" by Chris Brown Feat Lil Wayne and Tyga.
Well the Picture says it all They only show the stair case! However when you get up the stairs and see the hallways VERY VERY DIRTY why even have house keeping? the room we asked for was not what we wanted the front desk clerk didn't have any idea what we were talking about? and said that was all they had WRONG! we checked with another couple and they had a larger room with a kitchen and even the maids said there were available rooms they charged us additional 20.00 for breakfast, internet and shuttle service also we left a set of keys to our car there and we had to send the envelope to them to send the keys back to us here in Az TO ALL WHO ARE GOING TO LAS VERGAS DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND GET BETTER THAT THIS PLACE NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY THERE.
I traveled to Las Vegas and checked into Fortune Hotel totally unaware that I would be charged a $10.00 to check in 2 hours early. I had to wait in the lobby for the hours to pass in order to avoid the fee. I then was charged $10.00 as a "recreational fee" in order to stay in the room. I was not told about any of these fees prior to checking in. Did I forget to mention that I paid $22.00 to have transportation from the airport to the hotel and was not even told that there was transportation via hotel shuttle? AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WOULD EVER WANT TO ENCOUNTER. I would definitely not recommend this place.
Our First trip to the front desk after checking in was to change to a king room that we reserved, not the queen beds. The second was to let them know the queen sheets didn't fit the king bed. When we returned to our room the new sheets were in a pile by the T. V. Since when do we have to make our own beds in a motel? The third trip to the front desk was to ask for towels. Their response was that their washer had broken and there they were out. My husband asked them to get some from the pool area. He said it was locked and he didn't have the key. He asked if there were some in rooms that were vacant and was told they had already done that for other guests. By the time I got there I was more than a little frustrated. We asked him to call his manager and he refused. He said housekeeping would be in at 9 am. We told him we were going to Wal-Mart to buy towels and he said to do what we needed to do. Another guest checked in after midnight as we were having this discussion and I asked for his towels as I checked in earlier and was told to be quiet. I made sure he heard my story. We checked out at 10:30 and still no towels. We asked for the manager and he said all he could do was refund the 10.00 resort fee. My husband pulled out the receipt for the towels and he said he couldn't do anything about it. Finally after some arguing he refunded the towel money and asked for our towels. As if this wasn't bad enough the room smelled gross and the carpet was filthy.
We paid a lot more than some others ($89/night), probably because of the particular week were were there (EDC and Van's Warped Tour in town). The staff at the front desk was polite and helpful. The shuttle drive, Chuck, was courteous, helpful, and friendly. The housekeeping left much to be desired. Our room looked like someone just through the duvet on the beds and it reeked of cigarette smoke. It was only made up 2 days out of five, and we had to ask for that to be done. There was one wash cloth, two bath towels, one hand towel. We had to ask for more (there were two of us). The carpet was in serious need of vacuuming. There was no restaurant, lounge or casino. But the breakfast buffet was well-stocked, although a little odd — — boiled eggs, hash browns and rice? — — but plenty of cereal, waffles, toast, juice, coffee. They are apparently still renovating, and plan to build next door. The pool was nice.
I stayed between 5/2/14 thru 5/5/14 This Hotel is very beautiful with an amazing pool and hot tub. My room was equipped with plenty of towels, clean bathroom, 2 sinks, and plenty of space along with a dresser to put our clothes. The bed is extremely comfortable. Don't believe what all these other people are complaining about. My only complaint is that the A/C doesn't work well in the lobby area or the hallways.
POSTED 12/28/13 STAYED: 12/21-12/27/13 I promise you guys if I could give a zero I DAMN SURE WOULD. Instead of bitching lets list the reasons: — > Crappy/Rude/Slow/Dirty Service — > POOR POOR Excuse of a breakfast — > Bed sheets stink — > Holes in furniture and carpet — > Pool yes, but not filled — > Jacuzzi yes, but not working — > Bed bugs, strong possibility — — — MOST IMPORTANT — — — FALSE CHARGES Now time to bitch, This place is not a hotel but a motel converted to mock a hotel. Piss poor job. Bathrooms horrible, staff are all rude, non compliant and catekring to guest needs and services. We literally had to beg them to come clean our bathroom. If you have three guests staying. Why are you bringing me two towels. If you run a hotel please tell me why you dont have toilet tissue. Had to beg for that everyday, smh thats a simple necessity. The pillowcases and bed sheets smell horrible, as if its been left in moldy water. The breakfast, oh they den got me started! The breakfast consisted of plastic tasting dyr reheated hash browns, watered down juice pitchers (2), dry cereal and small bagels. If you didnt get there at 7, you damn sure werent eating. The set up was horrible, not even presentable. The lady didnt have a cold station so she ran out every 20 mins with a pitcher of milk to refill cups smmfh. We asked them for an ice bucket, after 20 mins of searching they come back and say all they have is a water pitcher. Yall should have seen my face.
