Front desk have me wrong key to my room. This was discovered only after driving to the outback and lugging my luggage up the stairs. Carried it back down the stairs and drove back to casino. The staff was amused at my misfortune te he te he. They had wrote the wrong number down.

A good hotel, cozy room, and excellent cleaning. Despite some problems with the restaurant, such as the dirty lipstick cup, wrong order, and today it seemed that they were not so happy to serve. More otherwise okay.

I spent my birthday Here and had a wonderful time. I ate at the steakhouse and the food and service was great as it was for breakfast too.
The hotel and casino is spotless, so clean. And I can’t say enough about the staff throughout the casino, absolutely wonderful and VERY professional. Looking forward to my next trip which will be very soon.

So Carson Valley in Slot World and Bodines All owned by the same person in each of the restaurants they offer a chicken walnut apple salad with raspberry vinaigrette. Bodines and Slot World Nailed it every time delicious chicken breast walnuts apples blue cheese crumbles and croutons. I ordered it from Carson Valley Inn it was the saddest thing I’ve ever seen three little cubes of chicken not even a slice no blue cheese crumbles no croutons the saddest salad I’ve ever had in my life. Oh did I mention 11 dollars and I had to add my own stuff to make it edible.

The jacuzzi suite is beautiful and affordable. The food was alright. Everyone was really friendly. I will forever, remember this place for using good fabric softener on their towels.

I like it there they need to give more offer for their rooms they use to have better rates. We use to go a lot but when they charge in the 100.00 we couldn’t go anymore so we stay on the ca. Side go to the Indian casinos at least we can go home. We don’t have to worry about a place to sleep But when all said and done I like it there I like the people I like the food I like the rooms just can’t afford to go that often anymore thanks.

The food was horrible out of the 20 years we’ve been going there it was awful. The food was horrible for one the server was awful. I rarely even post reviews but I had to. The food quality was awful no one even asked us how the dinner was. This place went down hill fast. Worst place to dine worst service good job cvi you lost two long time customers.

First night out on the town since February. Hats off to Carson Valley Inn Casino… so clean, sparkling fresh and nice staff. Well managed place, put our mind at ease right away! Great dinner, great service. Would have paid money for a fun safe night out but didn't have to… walked out $500+ heavier. Thanks CVI ❤

The staff is exceptionally nice and wonderful at Carson Valley Inn. I like the restaurants I like the fact that locals are so friendly so that its really fun to play in the casino there. The rooms are nice. The indoor swimming pool in the winter months is great. And the summer concert season has been fun (not sure what will happen in 2020 but loved going in the past. )

I’ve been to CVS for many many events… Some convincing style and some just wanted to listen to some good music, rock ‘n’ roll in the evening on a weekend… Never disappointed.

I went mostly to eat at the restaurant, which was good. The food was of decent quality and the prices were below average by a bit. Spent less than $8 for a full breakfast with coffee. I have their special, chicken fried steak and eggs. A very hearty breakfast, large portions. The casino is a casino, didn't look very impressive in my opinion.

Always a fun place to stop & play. Food is always good & reasonable. Now why I gave Carson Valley Inn a 5 star rating: Customer service! Doesn't matter why you went in you will get great customer service!

Great Hotel and Casino. Rooms are always clean and well kept. I had asked for a microwave. It was delayed however but they ended up getting it to me. Pool was good. Two jacuzzi pools to go with it. And an outside balcony. Plenty of space for the whole family, even for parents who need a minute to get away from the kids. Steakhouse is great place for dinner. Cafe is a decent alternative.

Great local casino. The hotel has been redecorated and is nicely done. Very good food in the steakhouse. Good service and a nice wine list. Prices are very reasonable for a restaurant of this quality.

The rooms were very clean and large. It had a refrigerator but no microwave. The casino has 3 restaurants. We ate at Katie's Country Kitchen and the food was really good. Reasonably priced and you get a lot of food. The location is very convenient, easy to find and there is plenty of free parking. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel/casino.

Came in to gamble… they have good variety of games… waitress came with drinks quickly… ate at the cafe and the hostess was awesome… food was decent… will stop by again.

Got a room in hotel which was great, went for the night, food at Katie’s was great, (although my husband was moving our table at breakfast a little closer, and his hand touched a wad of gum under table, gross.
Slots were terrible, extremely tight, went through our gambling money in a very short time. I like to be able in sit and play at a machine that gives out (we eventually put it all back but at least you get to play. Don’t know if we will be back.

I go to Carson Valley Inn a few times per year usually after a hard day of work. I really enjoy the small casino environment and they have plenty of entertainment and good drink prices to keep anybody happy. I frequent the restaurant more often than the casino/bar and enjoy the food very much. Satisfying homestyle cooking for a good price. One recommendation I have for there service is that they accomodate patrons that request a breakfast item late at night to make an early morning easier. Beyond that, great service.

The Carson Valley Inn is a smaller venue as expected for a smaller town. But they do a great job of having bigger name talent perform there. They also have more than 1 food venue to choose from, making the choice to visit this historic town of Minden an easy choice. The Inn's proximity to Tahoe, Carson, Genoa or Reno can make this a great alternative to staying at some of the larger towns' casino hotels, especially if a slower-paced atmosphere is more to your liking. I don't know if I would necessarily recommend this venue in the winter for a Tahoe ski trip, as you would have to navigate one of 2 mountain road passes to get into Tahoe. But other times of the year make Minden a fantastic alternative to stay and take day trips to other towns.

My wife and I needed a break from the hustle of our very busy life, so we decided to try Carson Valley Inn and we had a lot of fun. We got a Deluxe Suite and the room was so clean and beautiful that alone was refreshing. Everything worked in the room and bathroom. The pool and jacuzzis were so much fun to go to and just relax with a beautiful view. Katie's the restaurant has awesome food, and you better have an appetite cause the meal are big and filling. There was a live band playing music and they were very good fun to sit listen too. We left wishing we had longer to stay…

I had a great time here. There’s a casual restaurant and a more upscale one, each offering daily specials which are a good value. The casino itself is friendly and you can enjoy yourself all night economically. The atmosphere is not frantic like the bigger casinos.

It was clean and the room was large enough for our needs. We asked for the 3rd floor and they accommodated us. It was quiet. The breakfast that is included was not very good. The eggs were really awful. But there were other things on the buffet so that you could get enough breakfast if you didn't feel like going out to a restaurant. All in all, a good place for the 2 days we were there.

I have been eating at CVI since I was a child. I remember late nights my friends and I in my late teen years would go into Katie's drink coffee and eat french fries. I discovered the Monte Cristo sandwich one day when my family brought out of town guests in to Katie's for dinner. I have been hooked on that thing ever since. Literally to the point of going out and buying a small deep fryer and working up a concoction of batter so that I could try to make the sandwich on my own. I actually got pretty good at it. I have been eating at Katie's Restaurant inside. I love going there. The staff is always amazing and the food is always fresh and delicious.

I stayed here as part of a golf package. I was pretty impressed with this place. Doesn't look like much from outside, but rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, wasn't that smoky, and restaurants were pretty good, especially the steak house. We are at the steak house twice and both meals were great! Parking was convenient too! Will definitely stay again.

I have been trying to get the housekeeping department to call me back. I left my shirt in the closet of the hotel room and have called multiple times and nobody wants to call me back. Horrible customer service. I am very disappointed. This is an update. They actually ended up shipping my shirt to me free of charge. So that is good I am a happy camper. Thanks cvi. I will be back.

Had the chicken fried steak and eggs with coffee. Big portions and the eggs were perfect. Coffee was enjoyable. The service was very nice and smiles on everyone's face…

Clean, new, not a lot of people around to help when you need direction. Takes to long to get a drink at the machines. People are friendly. I have quit gambling here because lack of payout. The food is pretty good. Always the same.

Very nice place. Older but well kept up. Black Jack table payed for our room. Slots payed for our dinner and breakfast. It was a Monday night and the poker room was closed. Will definitely stay there again.

Locals casino. The steak house is great. The cafe is good, try the fish tacos. It's nice that that have a coffee bar. Only down side is it gets pretty smokey when it's crowded.

We were only at the Carson Valley Inn for one night, but I would definitely go back. Everyone we encountered was gracious and professional. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was very comfortable. We ate dinner and breakfast at their casual restaurant, Katies Kitchen. Both meals were excellent and the service was great.

The food is more or less and the Servácio also.

Nice people, great food. Comfortable beds and their pillows are amazing! I always bring my own pillows from home, but I didn't even use them.

Don't really have any complaints. The room was okay. TV was pretty small but I didn't really care. Bed was comfy. Shower was fine. Casino is nice. Good place to stay.

1/2/16 We stopped in this casino twice today. Once in the morning where we found ourselves entertained by lots of slot machines and terrific drink service. We found ourselves sitting on a couple machines that just kept winning (even though we were placing very small bets, and winning small amounts, it was so much fun! ) Everyone that we encountered in the staff was very friendly, from the ladies at the desk for new playe's cards, to the floor manager, Jessica. We felt very welcomed! Perhaps because it is a holiday weekend they had a lot of promotions going on. People playing a slot machine with their player's card were randomly called for a free $100 cash. And we returned to the casino at 3:00 for a drawing where 3 people won different prizes between $100 and $1, 000. Even though we didn't win, it was exciting. And I'm glad we went back to the casino. Kind of thinking about going back again tonight, but that might be overkill. Better save some of our good luck for tomorrow.

This is by far my favorite casino in Northern Nevada. I am often found down stairs in the poker room with Mark and the boys (plus Karen). The food at Katie's is what you would accept for the price and is decent. The steak house is priced very reasonably and a great value for anyone passing by the CVI.

This review is for Carson Valley Motor Lodge. The motor lodge is owned by Carson Valley Inn. You actually check in at the casino, CVI. We decided to stay at the motor lodge because it's away from the casino and I believe it to be more private. The rooms had been remodeled since I had last stayed. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable with lots of space. Our room had a flat screen tv, a small table with 2 chairs, a rocking ac/heater unit, coffee machine, coat rack and even lamps that have plug ins on both the side tables. When we checked in they had no problem with our requests. Also, when we got to our room the remote didn't work, but we called the front desk and had someone at our room with a new remote in less than 10 minutes. Incredible service and great overall experience. We will be coming back.

Nice clean casino with a bar and entertainment. The restaurant is decent and the rooms are spacious and updated. The employees are kind and friendly. They have an indoor heated pool and spa plus a gym.

We where very impressed with our stay. We attended a conference here and I loved that I didn't have to track though the casino to get to the convention rooms or back to the hotel room. The staff was very helpful. And for the first time the food at the convention center was outstanding! I've been to a lot of conventions, some at large fancy places and this place has been the best.

Vrey clean, the staff is absolutely wonderful! The diner located inside has great prices and the staff is also very friendly. Definitely get more for your dollar here than any casino hotel I have ever been too. The indoor heated pool and hot tub was a definite bonus. I just wish they had an arcade for kids since we had our 6 year old with us.

Katie's staff are always way chill and accommodating to me and my crew — even when we we a little too turnt! The prime rib is excellent and the wine is always flowing. It is a terrific place to vibe with your people and get your grub on at an affordable price. Yatta?

Check in is easy, rooms big and clean. Beds are definitely firm… Coffee shop is quick and the food is good. Casino medium size, lots of slots but a few tables as well. Quiet older crowd. Attentive drink service. All in all just what you would hope for from a small roadside hotel in Nevada.

The motor inn had minimal amenities and is a walk to Casino area, hot tub, tiny workout area. You literally walk across their trailer park, gas station and parking lot to get to Casino side with entrance being on the far side or you have to drive. All we had was an ironing board. Heat/cold was inconsistent. Gets 3 stars because staff was nice and restaurant was excellent. I have no idea what the actual casino rooms are like, but only a $40/night difference. Casino side was full. We were in for a wedding.

It is a very unico place. Rustic style and country style. Casino resort, it has two hot tubs and a nice size pool. Weekdays are the best. The food is very tasty and very good price.

It can be smokey sometimes but they have fun games, the nicest staff, and their diner is always open (although it gets pretty busy. ) I've actually had a lot of luck there. Which is why I keep coming back. Their 4 big buffalo machines pay big if you bet enough.

Live music, great food and options, updated machines, and the most friendliest staff ever! The rooms are amazing especially for the price. Clean and cozy, and always prepared to expectation. The rewards program is great and they even offer outdoor concerts during summer time. Location is very easy to access and also is nearby shopping if necessary during your trip. Has a great pool and convention area separated from foot traffic making the property accessible with an ease. Vallet is amaxing and fast. Overall, this property is simply amazing and a must to visit!

Laid back hotel & casino. We have stayed at the hotel, motor lodge (motel), and the RV park. The restaurants have decent food. The CV steakhouse is great. The rooms in both the motor lodge & hotel are clean, quiet and comfortable. The casino? We don't gamble much, but we usually leave a "donation". Despite not being lucky, we can usually enjoy playing for a while on $20-40, I'm alright with that. Not like Vega$ where it feels the someone is using a high powered suction to siphon money out of my hands faster than I can get it out.

We had lunch one day and breakfast the next morning at Katie's. Excellent food, but the service was not good at all at the lunch. But we had a great waitress the next morning for breakfast with a group of 16 and she was awesome.

Went to the restaurant with my father who has a hard time walking. The hostess actually asked if we would like the close table. That is something we usually have to request anywhere we go. I was impressed the hostess at CVI asked us.

This is a comfortable casino hotel. I have been coming here for many years and always enjoy the stay. The restaurants are good and the casino staff are personable.

The food was half decent. My filet sole piccata was amazing, just they make minor cooking taboos in nearly every meal and when my grandfather let them know it they had to call multiple managers and make him repeat his issue and make it a huge issue which only made more irritated with it Lol. He wanted an authentic Reuben and they made it with toasted sourdough, velveeta-y thousand island, very very little kraut and corn beef that tasted like (or was) carved ham. They first gave him a cup of kraut and a cup of dressing, and then he noticed the ham, and then they made him a new one (exactly the same) and took away his extra cups. Omg lol. In my dish I enjoyed it, but the rice was cooked dry and the sauce was smothering the fish. The kids drawing was a little frightening for my niece because the pictures were of mentally ill sea animals, but she scribbled on it anyway. The waiters were mostly kind but occasionally irritated.

Great food, extremely well priced, best dinner bread we have ever had… it will leave u craving it when u leave. LOGAN Is the best server there:) Rooms are clean, and affordable. Love coming here with the fam.

Went to the restaurant for dinner and then to a concert at the outdoor stage. Staff was courteous. Restaurant was clean. Food was great. Service was Timely.

My girl and I had a delicious breakfast at Katie's Country Kitchen. She had the $5.99 steak and eggs. It came with a very flaky homemade biscuit, which she put butter and honey on. She ordered the savory gravy on the side, and I happily sampled it with my toast. I had the American Breakfast, scrambled, bacon, toast, and a buttermilk pancake with some bite! Overall it was a satisfying breakfast that got us past lunch on the road back to L. A.

I went to Katie's. It was an okay experience. I go there because the nostalgia associated with the casino. My server was mediocre and we didn't get drinks right away. I also ran out with no refill even offered. The price is great for the food though. You can't always have perfect service so it's not a deal breaker for me. The wait is worth it.

We live in the area, so we just went for dinner. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The staff are all very friendly. Before we moved here, we used to vacation here. We stayed at the hotel several times. The rooms were always clean and well maintained. Always enjoyed my stays.
