Rooms dirty. The hallway stunk. No ice in machine. On the up side the pool was nice to swim in.

Stayed overnight on a road trip. Staff was friendly, check-in was painless and parking was easy. The rooms were clean and the beds were acceptable. The building itself was dilapidated. All in all, for the price, it was worth it.

Was awesome service had trouble with card lock door and they were great getting it fixed and room was huge and comfortable.

It's ok. Half — a$$ed on the cleaning. Almost got sent to another motel cuz they were over booked and when it was cleared we went to our room and it wasn't ready. I think it mite have been someone's room cuz it looked like someone just got out of the shower. Good thing no one was there. Or we wud have walked in on someone. So we got another room, and it wasn't vacuumed and food spots on the bed skirt. Other than that, front desk staff were very friendly, and the room is great for the price u pay.

Front desk ladies need some training in customer service. They are cold and uninterested. The rooms are fine.

Pretty good service and good rate… the place is a bit rundown here and there and it smells of stale smoke and ass.

Everybody there for employees were very helpful on helping me set up things for my mom celebration of life with short notice. The rooms are very comfortable and very nice.

This place doesn't deserve a star. We booked a reservation online for one night and the refused cash for a deposit. So we had to call the travel agent and cancel our room. They would even help us out. Now we have to find a new place to stay. Not happy!

Stayed here in Jan. Comfy beds and pillows, nice pool and hot tub, interior is out dated but not the worst I've seen, the Wi-Fi is horribly slow and needs upgrading asap, could barely get my laptop to run a website. The peep hole in our door was poked out and there were large chunks missing out of the bottom of the doors but it looked like they were doing construction on parts of the hotel so they are probably working on this. All in all a decent experience and will be staying here again next time I'm in town, prices are really good.

We got the cheapest room which is not pictured online. It seems to be the area that has not been updated. For a cheap room it was fine. It was clean and old. The staff was pleasant and helpful. If you are looking for restful I would upgrade to the above $45 rooms. If you are just looking to crash, have a night out and swim, any beat the price and location.

It was good for the deal we got. We were just passing through and needed a room for the night, and it was fine. They did give us a room that somebody was already in and that was a little awkward, but overall it was good for the price and the time.

Room was clean and worth the price. So relieved there were no bed bugs. Pool was warm, kinda dirty. Jacuzzi was nice. Floor mats they had hurt to walk on.

I originally chose the room because of the price and I would absolutely stay there again it was one of the cleanest cheapest rooms I have ever stayed in the front desk staff was amazing convenient location.

Great pool. The kids really enjoyed it. It goes to seven feet deep so even the big kids had fun.

Myra the lady at the front is very helpful and willing to do whatever she can to make sure you enjoy your stay while you're here.

Older place. Good price. Clise to all amenities and good deals with the casino next door.

Beds are good, the hotel has a lot to offer, a inside pool, gym and a business office for those that needs to work while staying in the area, but some of rooms could use some more attention to the rooms when it comes to cleaning them FYI…

Love the room is a working man's room and there is a workout room I am told. Pool and hot tub. Great value for the money!

Stopped in for a room on our way home after vacation. We had not planned to spend an extra day so it was not booked in advance. Reasonable rate for a nice large clean room. I loved the double sink, one in the bathroom and one outside; it makes getting ready much easier with four people. Upon check-in we were given a coupon book for the surrounding casinos that are owned by the same company. Not necessary, but nice. There are both expensive and cheap options close to have a meal. The pool was clean but packed with people on a Saturday night. They have an adjoining bathroom with showers in the pool room. The workout room had a good variety of equipment all in working order. There were a few old arcade cabinets for our kids, but nothing stood out. All in all I enjoyed our stay at the High Desert Inn. I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. The pool is good size, and the hot tub was great. I was a little worried when we went in the back door and in the hall, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got in our room. The room was large, and clean. I would recommend this hotel, and would stay here again.

Extra clean, extra customer service, we enjoy pool and spa after long drive. Front desk lady Mayra was so helpful, with beautiful smile, perfect customer service, so politely explained everything, she is extra special. Thank you guys.

Took my kids there to go swimming. Enjoyed the pool. Front desk was nice and patient. The bathrooms at the pool were a little rundown, but I have yet to be to a swimming pool that has 5 star bathrooms.

We really enjoyed the room. Very clean, great bed. There was a little confusion on the price… one quote over the phone, then $20 higher when we arrived 15 minutes later.

It was close to the highway and a descent amount of food choices. The lady at the desk treated us like she had better things to do than her job, carpets were disgusting, beds had hair all over the pillow cases, and the bathroom was disgusting! When walking in the bathroom my feet were sticking to the floor and overall it looked like they hired a 12 year old to clean it. I wasn't expecting the Hilton for 49.99 but damn.

The hotel isn't that bad, they have nice rooms and several facilities. The only issue is that there isn't that many food places around.

Girl at desk was slightly sarcastic. Bed was uncomfortable. Heater didn't work right. Not nearly enough hot water.

Location was good: right off the highway. Rooms were as expected with comfortable beds.

Not sure what hotel the other reviews are describing and where the photo is taken. They do not appear to be describing the High Desert Inn. This is a very budget hotel. The budget price reflects the state of the hotel, it's not actually a a great price, you are getting what you pay for, a low end hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the High Desert Inn, the room was clean and exactly what we wanted it to be, but our visit risked being marred by leaving valuables in the room. Fortunately, the front desk operator Griff looked in the room and our valuables were still there! This was over and beyond the call of duty, and we are so very happy to have encountered an honest person there in Elko. Absolutely a great interaction.

We checked in today after a rough night at another hotel! We were very pleased with the size of the room beds look comfy! Towels are fluffy! The employees are super friendly! Front desk was a little confusing! But were very Happy with our room and look forward to our next two nights.
