My Family and I stayed here the week of the 4th of July (July 2nd to July 5th). Normally I used service like Priceline to find me the best deals as well as to cut through the headache of comparing hotels, etc. But this time around I found that the Hotel itself had the best deal at $89.00 a night so it was a bargain. We booked a Double Queen Premium room with a jetted jaccuzi (Room 241) as we were pleased with our accommodations. I was leery at first since this room was at the head of the hallway close to the elevators and was afraid of the noise but to my pleasant surprise, we were not disturbed at all by the traffic in the hallway. HOWEVER, we were kept up at least one night by the club next door. Not the Hughes Family Theater but the Mickey Gilley Six next door. The room felt a bit small, but it was cozy (considering that it had two Queen size beds). The bathroom was nice, esp. With the jaccuzi tub. At the time of our trip, the jacuzzi by the pool was out of service, which was a bummer for my wife and I, but for our three your old daughter it was a blast. While the pool itself is pretty large, it is not that deep, but that made it just right for our three year old daughter who loved the fact that she could go swimming with out her arm floaties. I found the pool relaxing as I could just sit on one of the steps and relax in the water as my daughter played. Location wise, this was great if you like the strip. Its right next to the "Heavy Metal" go-kart track, frozen custard stand, and just about everything else you can think of. The down side is the Strip itself, I strongly recommend walking if your up to it as traffic can be a pain. All in all, if your heading down to Branson for a quick get away (Weekend or so), I would recommend staying at the Lodge of the Ozarks.
