Worst hotel ever. Ive been here a week and cant wait to leave. First, the front door is heavy & must be pulled to you. No one to help you with your luggage or to help you with the door. Upon check in, they provided no details about the hotel whatsoever. Huge miscommunication between the front desk & Palms place pool. I was told the pool was closed, but when I went, it was open, and had been open since I checked in. Pool rules change daily. On day 2, I was told I was not allowed to bring in any outside drinks, like water or coffee that I had purchased from the hotel. The next day, the rules had been changed and it was now okay. A 15 minute rainshower closed the pool early for the rest of the day. On my 4th day, a friend had a lit cigarette thrown from the balcony hit him in the arm, and caught his towel on fire that he had his head on. All we got was "sorry".
The room: Air conditioning doesn't work and will not stay on. I did complain, and they did send maintenance to fix. It worked, but will not cool below 74. It's 120 out, and the casino floor is cool, but not the room. The room smells like marijuana at all times. The sink drain plug doesn't work. I wear contacts & don't want them in the drain. Construction directly outside my window starts at 5am. The water smells that comes out of the faucet. The floor is filled with kids for a basketball tournament. Kids bouncing the balls in the hallway all week. I've had no sleep all week due to the noise. No plain water available in the entire hotel. Only "smart" water. I have CKD. I cant drink all the additives. PLAIN tap water would be nice. Shuttle only runs til 8pm. Went to a concert here. 2 hour delay because the venue didn't hook up or test the new sound system until day of show. Horrible stay. Horrible customer service. Made what was supposed to be a vacation into a stressful week. I would never recommend. Ghetto. Edited to add the additional issues on my last day before checkout. I ordered room service for coffee. A minute after calling, someone from "accounting" called about some glitch that I can't charge room service to my room & needed my credit card info. That he needed to charge it & the immediately refund my money. Well, I did provide the cc info. Then he calls back & says that he can't issue the refund to that card. I had to provide another cc for the refund. Next issue. Tried to get the buffet & charge it to my room. Same issue. Not alllowed. That was the last straw. Front desk did remove as many charges from my bill as they could ($97). However, that doesn't fix tired & hungry. At that point, I left & went to the airport 6 hours early in order to get the hell away from this hellhole. I got treated WAY better at the airport & actually got to eat. Run, stay far away from this place.
