We are severely disappointed in the resort. My mother is an owner at this resort and her car was hit in the parking lot overnight as it was parked. It was a hit and run and there is a security camera pointed directly over where the incident occurred. We did not discover that the car had been hit until we saw it this morning. We reported it to the security at the hotel and they accused us of bringing the car in damaged, even though there was glass from another vehicle on the ground. The security also refused to help us by looking at the footage of the incident and would not answer why they were not able to retrieve the footage. They refuse to help us at all even though a crime was committed on their property. In addition, the hotel states that they are putting policies in place to protect hotel guests by limiting pool access by having their guests check in through the main lobby, but the hotel does not monitor the pools at all and often many people are propping open the gates to the pool with rocks and letting their family in from the surrounding community. They are also just texting their families and getting them to come in by opening the gates for them as well. Many are not hotel guests at all. Furthermore, the hotel was filthy when we arrived and my husband and I spent 4 hours and an entire bucket of Lysol wipes and can of spray cleaning it so that our elderly mother could stay here safely. Needless to say that we are severely disappointed in all aspects. They advised a vacation of a lifetime but our experience has been quite the opposite.
