Booked a room at this hotel based on reviews. I don't know how or why people would rate this hotel as they have, because by every measure, the place is a complete dump. Paper thin walls — I could hear cell phones ring in rooms above me, whenever someone walked down the hall, I could count their footsteps, and the single pane windows allow all the traffic noise from Koval to enter the room. Carpets in the room were so dirty and disgusting that I did not feel comfortable walking in bare feet. I once looked behind the headboard of my bed — what a mistake. One of my co-workers found a used condom. My room had garbage back there — all kinds of nasty stuff — crumbs, wadded up paper, etc. The shower floor was dirty. Dirtier than any public YMCA locker room. Climate controls were at least 20 years old, and every time the heater cycled on, it was louder than a plane taking off at nearby McCarran airport. It woke me up all night, every night. Not to mention the burning smell from the vent. Speaking of burning smells, the halls had a quite pleasant smell of high-grade marijuana for most of the week. The casino and cafe were good, however. Best breakfast deal in Vegas, and excellent food. Never again. I'm guessing that people are rationalizing their stay by saying this place is 3 stars. It's a one star property, at best. As I checked out on Saturday morning, there were 3 LVPD cars out front. Next door is a 7-11 that is frequented by the homeless, and the occasional low-end hooker. During my 6 nights, I didn't get a single good night's rest. If you're a 20 year old looking for a dirt cheap place to stay while you party in Vegas, and you're drunk enough to pass out each night on your worn out mattress, this is your place. If you're looking for a nice, clean, quiet place to get a good night's rest, stay elsewhere.
