On the occasion of a conference, we were accommodated here for several nights.
Rooms: Very light polite, elevators are very loud, doors fall loudly into the castle, funny noises when someone presses the shower controller (had to change rooms, ended up in a beautiful corner room on the 27th floor and still you hear everything). Rollos and night curtains top. Light sources only selectively at the desk, at the bed. Closet with enough ironing, unfortunately only two drawers as storage space. Carpets in the hallway and room. Big TV.
Bed: Pillow too fat, bed otherwise very comfortable bath: Adammy small and very deep, Max 2, 10m, no cosmetic mirror, no vanity kits, good light and not too heavy hair dryer.
Conference rooms: Functional, contemporary but too cooled down. Total madness! Women sat with jackets and scarves in it, men including jackets.
MClub: Fresh egg dishes, fruits and beignets (specialty in New Orleans), coffee maker didn't work half the time, tables aren't made properly clean, napkins etc stay on the ground, seemed chuddy. Of course, there are plenty of sweet drinks in cans, water station (fill cups). Muesli are all individually packaged in plastic cups.
Location: Very central to the French Quarter, in front of the hotel there is the traditional tram (day ticket 3$), shopping center and the infamous Bourbon Street are a 5-minute walk away.
Hotel: A huge hotel complex and even on the 39th floor, street activities can be heard!
Verdict: We wouldn't book for a private stay.
