I was there recently and it was a bad bad visit. Between your security people being unprofessional and rude to you shutting down the non smoking side of the casino and making all of your customers feel like we were in your way when working. It was not fun.

I don't recommend pretty much everything about the casino. I've never spent so much at one casino and won so little… it's absolutely absurd. I can honestly say that I've left ahead on money maybe 3 or 4 times out of the hundreds of times I've been there… 3 TIMES! What a joke. Can't speak on the hotel, never had the opportunity to stay.

The machines are pretty loose I won a lot there and the accommodations were great. Food wasn’t that great though.

This hotel was ok nothing special I was disappointed there was no breakfast spots other than the coffee shop that served coffee and muffins only. Buffet was closed, most other restaurants closed by 10. The young lady that work in the coffee shop was awesome. She help me out alot and explain why breakfast was not available. The Gift shop was close early and open late. I wanted to buy something however could not catch it open. Maybe they will ship it out to me. plus I didn't win LOL.

Most of the amenities are closed — there is not even a place to eat breakfast and the other restaurant options are very limited — they even detained my buddy saying they were looking for someone like him until he proved his identity — we objected to management and their reply was "we said we were sorry". That's total bull crap.

The service was excellent, any questions we had they helped right away.

My friend was admonished for standing within 6 feet of me while I sat shoulder to shoulder with others at a blackjack table and again when her mask slipped below her nose while speaking to me. I was chastised for putting a piece of gum in my mouth! What planet are you people on? Get over yourselves.

I was a patron of your casino this evening and I have to say my experience was horrible! When I come to your casino I spend ALOT of money and usually have a good time. BUT tonight was just plain ridiculous! While sitting and playing a game my husband was standing by me and just lit up a cigarette to have one of your mask police jump all over him for having his mask down to draw on the cigarette… Now before this he was off playing a game and the same thing happened before he came an joined myself. So he was aggravated… I asked your employee to remove herself that we understood the mandate an she was creating a bad situation by continuing to treat the situation like he was a 2 year old. Instead of smoking his cigarette he just put it out an she left. NOW the whole time I sat at my machine playing while he was off walking out his frustrations… the lady next to me sat an smoked a cigarette with her mask under her chin… an not just one but several… no one said a word to her. The gentleman at the machine diagonal to me sat with his mask under his chin smoking the whole time and again nothing was said to him. Now my husband comes back around to stand with me as I play… Once again he was trying to enjoy a cigarette… JUST LIT IT an Loe an behold same woman comes an jumps on him about his mask being down as he was drawing it. Now if the rules apply to one they should apply to ALL! SO WHY WAS HE THE ONLY ONE IN THAT SECTION BEING PICKED ON?

Horrible experience. Went there for 50k drawing that never happened due to technical difficulties and not even a free drink was offered for my wasted time. I will never never never go back. Crooked snotty gangsters and horrible customer service. Don’t waste your money there.

What a horrific experience! My friends and I were there for a concert. My friend with cerebral palsy was harassed multiple times by hotel staff! Complete discrimination! Another friend was charged $40 extra on a food bill. She still has yet to be reimbursed! No return phone call from manager either. In addition, security urgently banged on our hotel room door after midnight, demanding we let them in in order to search for the previous guest’s antique pillow they left behind! Major invasion of privacy! It was traumatizing! We will never go back there! We are seeking a lawyer!

Went to a show at the event center. Great place and sounded good! our seats were on the risers, last row. My only complaint is that there was zero room to get in or out of your seat without making the entire row of people move out of the row. A little too cramped on the back row. Other than that, had an excellent time!

Traveled all over the country! Used to live in Las Vegas, worst paying slots I have EVER seen in my life! Staff is very friendly and food is amazing but if you are looking to have a good time playing slots, good luck! No matter if you min bet or max bet it makes no difference. Very sad, this casino has the POTENTIAL to be great if they allowed people to at least maintain funds for awhile.

We had our reception in their ballroom yesterday and I can not say enough good things about it! The staff from beginning to end were all amazing. Megan Jung was excellent! The food was incredible! The service beyond compare! And the room was gorgeous! I would recommend them to everyone. I had minimal things to do with how incredible and beautiful this place was on its own!

Me and my girlfriend attended the New Year's Eve bash and concert. We had 9pm dinner reservations at the buffet with crab legs, jumbo shrimp, And prime rib. We enjoyed some drinks up in VIP and we even played some slot machines. We met my brother and his wife at Judy's and we all had a great time. Thanks River City.

I went to River City Casino with my wife, and mother in-law. We had a good time. Lots of new slots, snd plenty of my old favorites. The reason I only gave four stars is the slots weren't paying very well. We had a better time at Lumiere.

Buffet accommodated our group pretty well, which was appreciated. Food was good. Sushi offering is great quality for a buffet. Judy's Lounge was fun but so loud, we kinda separated into smaller groups and dispersed so not as conducive to large group… well maybe not just this visit. Casino was ok, but we were missing lots of our favorite slot machines that we'd seen before.

Beautiful hotel room. Super clean. Bathrooms are very spacious. Complimentary water bottles and coffee in room. Susan at the front desk was amazing. Casino is also very clean. Ventilation system keeps it from smelling like cigarettes. Very attentive cocktail waitress. Free valet when I went. Many games to choose from. I recommend.

Very clean and a great atmosphere. It feel like a Vegas casino when you walk in. The Restaurants are better than almost all of the other casinos in the area. I never win here, but it is a fun place to be with friends.

Before talking about the experiences. The overall appearance and cleanliness were pretty remarkable. This place, really makes you feel like "I stepped into a classy chunk of timeless entertainment! " Anytime I really want to get out and have fun, responsibly, first thought is River City. Its one of the "safer" casinos around! Deal!

Dinner was really good. Food didn't taste over seasoned or burnt. There was a wide variety and the employees made me feel at at home. Servers were attentive too, would definitely eat at River City Casino again.

Was pretty clean compared to other casinos in the area. The staff are the best I have experienced in a casino. Would 100% recommend checking it out.

I have been here before. I really liked it except for 2 things. I will not go back unless these 2 things change… 1. They allow smoking and it was gross. The smoking patrons will come and sit right next to you at the slots with their ashtrays, not even caring whether you are a non smoker or not. They get ashes on the machines. You cannot contain smoke to an area anyway. Second hand and third hand smoke can kill you. This should be against the law. I will not be putting myself in that situation again. 2. They will not allow the Metro Bus down there. I contacted Metro and they told me. You have to walk down a long desolate road from Broadway. So, apparently, this casino is prejudiced against people who don't have cars. Wow. Is that legal? Doesn't sound like good business either. The casino tried to tell me there isn't room for the buses. Really? You designed the place. There isn't room because you don't want them. And there is room for supply trucks and the like. Things that make you go "hmm".

Go there to eat not to gamble. Good food buffet line moves quickly. The workers attitudes are hit are miss. The slot machines are truly one arm bandits. Go to amaristar or Hollywood if you want to gamble. I'm not saying that you will win there either however the chances are better.

Great place to spend some time, gambling would be the main reason would come but there is places with great food. The hotel is great to stay in. They also have live entertainment.

The rooms in this hotel are nicely appointed and modem. The dual shower heads in the bathroom is worth the price alone! The only downfall is that they allow smoking in the casino, but the staff everywhere was very friendly and helpful.

We were there to attend a fundraiser. The room was very nice and easy to find without having to ask directions. The restrooms are nice, clean, well-stocked, and smelled clean. The food was excellent, and the servers very nice.

As far as appearance River City is the most attractive casino in st. Louis. Since I only play video poker and craps I don't go there unless my brother or wife drag me there. The reason is is does not matter where in st. Louis you play craps the rules are identical no matter where you play. However as far as video poker is concerned RC has the worst pay tables in st. Louis for video poker if you play quarters. So I play video poker mostly at other casinos. Sadly most video players and casino personnel have no idea why I am critical because they do not understand the importance of the pay tables. Why would you play at RC with that pays 6 for a full house when Hollywood pays 8 for a full house on quarters. Fortunately for casinos most gamblers have no idea what they are doing.

The Italian restaurant is the BEST anywhere around town. Absolutely delicious food and coffees! The burger joint is very good too. Their Angus burgers are crave worthy. The casino buffet is lacking.

I had Easter brunch with the family. We had a wonderful time & our waiter James was great. My only complaint was the water in the bathroom was line sticking your hand in a bucket of ice cold water. You guys really need to turn the temperature up to at least luke warm.

I'm very upset at how the seating was handled at the KC/DC show last Saturday night. Your hall is a great place to see a show, it's close to the parking garage, comfortable, and very clean. Due to this I am more apt to see a show at your venue than others and I keep a close eye on your scedule. As soon as the show was announced I bought five tickets as soon as I got a head count from my friends. I was lucky enough to get forth row with an aisle seat for me. We have been excited for months to be in the fourth row. When we got to the show they had changed up the seating to a general admission type and there was people already in our seats. The best we got was eight row. There was many t-shirts, guitar picks, and even a few drum sticks thrown to the first few rows that we may have had a chance at had we been in our original seats. If you were worried about filling seats you could have let people move up after the show started. This was a bad move on your part and huge disappointment to my group and many others. By the way, the show was fantastic.

The whole place has a mildew smell. I'm not a big casino guy anyway and I wouldn't give any of them a high score. There is a great steak house here though. If you like machines this is a good place but it was almost impossible to find an open blackjack table. We saw a band play in the velvet lounge and it was… entertaining. Lol.

A great visit as always! It's so nice to be able to step away from reality for a moment, and River City does just that. Always clean, staff is always courteous, and the game selection is wonderfully varied. So many dining choices, but my favorite is the Great Food Exposition; everytime the food is wonderfully cooked, and so many varied types of cuisine.

Casino by and large have the odds in their favor without cheating. Everyone knows this but it nice entertainment to kill a few hours if you can spare the cash. However, River City has created a new dice game called Sic Bo and normal rolling of the dice gives the house a great advantage. But, that isn't enough for them. They put an unnecessary lip inside the dice container and if the dice doesn't land flat it doesn't count. Without boring you with the math, this raises their odds significantly. So here is my conclusion, if I found one cheat there are probably more. AVOID this casino and spend your hard earned cash somewhere else.

The casino is clean, and has a wide variety of gambling games and slot machines. I enjoy when they have cover bands playing behind the bar, the music can be heard white playing the machines. Alcoholic beverages are available at the bar, and they also have complimentary fountain coke products, teas, and coffee self serve on the floor for your enjoyment while using the machines. The only problem I have had is at the casino entrance. I apparently look a bit younger than I am, and some of the workers sound more like they are busting teenagers trying to come in instead of needing to verify ID because they are unsure. Also some of the workers act as if checking ID is an inconvenience, instead of inconveniencing their guests.

Casino is always fun and clean. Staff is usually very nice. Security is excellent! They are always available if you have concerns. Most dealers are fun. The Burger Brothers makes an excellent burger and fries. The other restaurants are awesome too!

One of the top 5 hotels that I've stayed in in my life. Very clean, staff is amazing and goes the extra mile, has TV in bathroom mirror, food is amazing, plus the laundry that you have will be done within an hour and folded and sent back up to you… The list goes on and on I give this a 5-star rating.

A well kept place for a nice night out. Being there on New Years Eve was a treat, and the atmosphere is always vibrant. Wait times for restaurants can be long, but what else could you expect. The food is good and price well. I'll return for sure.

This is a great place to do the buffet on a Tuesday if your 50 and older. You must have a Mychoice choice card which enables you to get a buffet at 50% off or two for one buffet. Food isn't the world's best but it isn't bad. Seniors can have a better Buffet than the Golden Corral for about the same price. Food choices are better and the atmosphere is much much better.

Was here for the all you can eat crab night with my family and had a great time. For the price it can't be beat. If you're a crab lover like I am, it's the best deal in town. The crab is hot and they have staff dedicated to two seperate areas on the buffet to keep it coming all evening along with a vat (coffee urn) of piping hot clarified butter right in the middle. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and should you tire of the crab you still have access to the full international buffet, salad bar, and desert station. Smoking is allowed on the gaming floor, and there are multiple lounges (both on and off the floor) to get an after dinner drink or try your luck at the slots.

Ate at the pub house and had the Ruben. Always great food and cold beer. The casino is also nice. Latest games however it is very smokey. Eyes with contacts were super dry in a few minutes. Other than that, fun place.

We visited the casino with out of town guests. The casino floor was very nice and upscale. We had drinks at the bar and played slots. The bar was a bit expensive as some other casinos give discounted drinks if you are gambling. Other than that, it was a good experience. All in all, we won our money back.

We have visited RC several times and always have a good time. My wife, kids, and I visited Cibare last weekend before heading to see Christmas lights. The manager, Melissa, was kind enough to visit with us personally and made sure we had a great experience. The food was excellent! Our waitress, Rena (sp? ) was magnificent, as well as adorable. We were even serenaded by Frank, the pizza chef. Kudos to Melissa for caring about customer service… because of her, we will definitely be back.

Everyone was approachable, just a look of anticipating your need… such a rarity in a place as large as this Valet, front-desk, housekeeping, room service, cooks, host&hostess, slots & table attendant & cashiers etc. Etc. I grew up in Vegas, so I'm well-versed in how a hotel should be run. This one was top notch! Great food selection, beautiful rooms, and friendly staff. I highly recommend the rigatoni bolognese at the Italian restaurant, as well as the gooey butter cake from the bakery!

My family & I visited this location because I am in town & wanted some crab legs. We had a party of 20 in our group. Once half us arrived they allowed us to be seated. We had a rock star waitress that was AMAZING. Along with our 3 tables & several others she didn't miss a beat. Several of us waited around & insisted we talk to a manager to say she went way above her customer services status. Job well done!

Dinner at 1904 Steakhouse was beyond expectations. The steaks were perfect, the green bean side was amazing and the lobster bisque was to die for. Our server Jack made the experience even better. We will definitely be back very soon.

Great place. We only came to play a few rounds of roulette and get dinner before hitting the road. Won 400 bucks in roulette, had a couple drinks then we went to the steakhouse. The food was amazing. Had the $80 porterhouse. It was worth every penny. Mashed potatoes were also amazing. Great service, great food, great people. Would definitely go back, wish we could have stayed longer.

The Great Exposition Buffet My dining party enjoyed the all-you-can-eat Crab Legs dinner buffet late on Saturday afternoon. Arriving at 3:30pm, we did not have a line to wait in and we were able to immediately pay for our meal and be seated. Besides crab legs, the buffet offered a large variety of food: Pizza, prime rib, sushi, fried chicken, orange chicken, steamed vegetables, roasted vegetables, etc. In addition, there was a salad bar with an assortment of choices applicable to a "lighter" diet. Last, the buffet offered a large variety of dessert options (cheesecake, creme brule, etc. ) including multiple flavors of ice cream and sundae toppings. Due to the higher price of the "crab leg" buffet ($34.95), we took our time with dinner in order to sample and enjoy everything that caught our fancy. All in all, the food was quite good. The wait staff did an excellent job of clearing the table of used plates and keeping our drinks fresh. At the end of dinner, as we were eating dessert, we were offered coffee (nice touch). Leaving, some time later, we noted that the line to get I to the buffet was INCREDIBLY longer. Upon seeing that, we were happy that we chose to dine as early as we had. While I would rate the buffet as being worth the price of admission, I would probably not elect to go to the crab one again. I personally don't usually eat the amount of food that would justify the cost of that meal.

My overall (first) experience was "OK". I would have given 5 stars, however, the deficiencies regarded: Housekeeping (they only changed towels — no room/bathroom cleaning for 4 day stay) ; Buffet (overpriced for limited food selections) ; Smoke (excessive smoke in the non-smoking section of casino which caused health issues) ; Poor Casino Drinks (had to demand a refund for alcoholic beverages that actually lacked alcohol; Casino/Customer Service (casino servers were not friendly — at all and low/No winning on slots). The initial arrival crew (bellman, front desk/registration, security & casino ushers) were all Excellent. Overall, it was an just an OK stay. Nothing to brag about. It was my very first visit and probably my last visit to River City Casino. I would recommend my friends stay at local chain hotels and visit this casino for gaming or the St. Louis experience.

Love the bathroom amenities! Knock your socks off for a casino ;) (where they're gambling that you're paying anything for room anyway…) Update from last visit. Must have not stayed on this floor this room was much better than the others I recommend 7th floor. I also want to reiterate what I have said in a survey sent to me by the Casino. Their valet staff is hands down the best in the city. I don't know where they screen them from, how that selection process works but I tell you what it is IMPORTANT! That is the first and last experience a person has leaving the hotel & casino and a great experience there makes a world of difference! Why I changed my rating from a 3 to a 5 〰️Kudos〰️

Upon entering the casino I was first impressed with the cleanliness and pleasant smell. We ate at the little burger joint where we enjoyed a juicy turkey burger and chili cheese fries. They have a daily short list offering of shake flavors. Neither flavor offered that day appealed to me, unfortunately. Overall, a decent experience for me.

This is by far the nicest casino in the Saint Louis area! Enormous casino with a good selection of games and the Italian restaurant inside is hands down the best Italian food I've ever had and we go out to eat and look for new restaurants all the time so that's really a huge statement coming from me! Rooms are also extremely nice! This is our go-to casino hands down.

Spacious, upscale, good gaming selection, clean, well maintained. Multiple dining options, but all are pricy. Slot attendants are prompt and friendly, cashier's and players club reps, not so much. Don't expect service unless you hold a high rated card.

Ate at the beer house. Staff was great. Food was pretty good. Lots of awesome beer choices. Had fun playing, wasn't a big winner but enough little wins on slots to stretch my money a lot longer than usual which was nice.

Room was very very nice. Bed was super comfortable and the room had ample space with great amenities. The shower was double the size of a hotel shower with a rain shower included. Best of all was an electric TV on the bathroom mirror with electric lights on the mirror. Never saw those before. It was awesome. Five stars.

Super hotel room. Very clean. The shower was on point with 2 different heads. Clean and spacious area. The casino is a smoking inside casino so be prepared to enjoy copious amounts of second hand smoke… I am a non smoker and don't care for cigarette or cigar smoke. Overall, the casino was a fun atmosphere. An 80's knock off cover band played on Saturday night which was very interesting if you are into that kind of thing.

Also wish they had a pool and hot tub — would greatly improve the experience. In-room breakfast was very good. Restaurant choices were decent. Slot selection was decent. Disappointing there's only one Texas hold em $5 table. People have been pretty nice.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Our bed was amazingly comfortable, the best bed I have ever slept in. The housekeeping needs to be a little better. I had a roach almost fall on me when I opened up the bathroom door. I also found someones hair extensions and comb by my nightstand.

We had never been there. It was very pretty on the outside. But people were rude in the parking lot pulling in front of us and not watching other cars. The first thing we noticed inside was that it was full of cigarette smoke. The line for the club card was long and very slow. People on the floor were very rude and would walk into you or cut you off. The line for the buffet was very long and very slow. The price for the buffet was higher than what was on the webpage. There was only one redeeming thing about this place and it was that the food was excellent. I doubt we will ever go back.

Great place. Had a lot of fun. I loved my ribeye steak. Well prepared, great for low-carbers.

It's nothing short of a miracle when I find a hotel bed I actually slept well in. Nice bath and bedroom, easy check-out procedures, convenient maid service request and DND buttons inside the room, a fridge and safe are inside the closet, and TV screens on the bathroom mirror! I come from a state where smoking in public places is illegal so it was a little weird for me to walk around smelling and seeing smokers everywhere — so if that's an issue for you, or you'd rather avoid it, I would recommend not staying at this hotel.

Convenient location. Safe environment. Very clean and usually fun as long as you don't expect to walk away a winner every time. All of the restaurants serve large portions and are reasonably priced, except the steak house which is out of my personal range.

The place is very nice, the employees were all very professional, and my stay was perfect.

This is not the biggest casino in the area but still very nice. It looks nice, it has a few restaurants, many games, and a newer hotel which I have not tried yet. It is a little far out from where I live but when I make it out here it's a good time. The buffet is a pretty good one also.

We really enjoyed our stay. Hotel room was smaller than I expected. Bathroom was large. But I really prefer a bathtub. The casino was great. From other reviews we thought it would be horribly smokey, but it was not. Slots ranged from oldies to the newest of the new which is fine with me. The VIP room was small and the food selection was limited. Really enjoyed breakfast at the Lewy Nines Cafe. Dinner at the Beerhouse was not as good. We are already scheduled to go back.

Don't go here to this casino if you want to have fun. I didn't even want to give it one star but I had to give it some type of rating. I had three beers over a four hour period and because I "danced" in the hotel lobby with my mother (who traveled all the way from NY to enjoy her time with me) they called to say I was "intoxicated". Absolutely outrageous. I will never spend another penny at this casino. Plenty other casinos in St. Louis that are not trained to pick on patroons. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Disgusted isn't even the word.

I only went to the buffet on, Saturday. Food was pretty good… went kind of late so some of the food was low… but it is understandable because how late we went. Service was great — people were nice. The only problem we had was it is expensive… but I guess that's what you get at a casino buffet.

Had mothers day lunch at The Beerhouse, it was a terrible experience. They took at least an hour to find us a table for 12, and ended up giving us a high-top which is one we asked not to have. It took an hour to get our food, which was sub-par and some of it cold. Our server was either new or overwhelmed, so it took forever to get fresh drinks and our bills. And on top of everything the restaurant was pretty empty, if it was packed some of the issues would have been on. All together I wound not recommend this place to anyone, maybe just to grab a $4 light beer.

The fiod was iver cooked. Burned or so hard you couldn't bite into it. Not once was my drink refilled. For the price I expexted a lot more. Won't go back.

Was great! The food was superb and the staff were so accommodating. I loved the fact I could smoke on the gambling floor, can't stress that enough! So tired of places that prohibit what I pay for, because of some stupid people who could easily go somewhere else! Great place to go!

I did not stay at the hotel I went to the casino it was great. (Didn't win LOL) Parking was good. Casino was not overly crowded could get on slots easy. Staff were polite and courteous. Had lunch iat the buffet. Food was delicious. Will definitely vist again. Next time will consider getting a room at hotel. One of the better casinos I have been to.

Oh my, My husband and I don't wanna go home, nothing like where we're from everyone is friendly, kind and there is this like natural respect for one another… Are next vacation will be here again. Food portions are huuuuuge, extemely reasonable, and absolutely delicious, We dined at Lewy Nines Cafe and Beer House both at River City Casino in St Louis, the breakfast at Lewy nines superb make sure you try the biscuits and gravy… At the Beer house my husband had chicken fingers with honey mustard sauce Oh my Jesus they were delicious cooked just right and seasoned perfectly, you say why Rave about chicken fingers you have to taste them in order to understand, and if you like winning money River City Casino is for you…

This casino has an impressive array of games and card tables to play. Overall very, very clean. The Executive Host Mallory is an extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring employee that went put of her way to make sure that we had a fantastic experience while we were there. All around, just a great place to visit.

I had dinner with my family, it was a buffet however I felt the service was terrific. Specifically, I have never ate at a buffet were our table of 7 had 2 people serving us. Drinks were always full and table cleaned of plates when we got back. The wait was long but worth it, due to such service. Quality, I don't eat at buffets that often but the food was exceptional which is sime th ingredients to be said for a buffet. It was seafood night there and usually when eating crab legs I end up soaking wet from the water used to broil the crab. I mean water usually goes everywhere but they prepared these crabs well and sired the shells prior, which was also appreciated. I give the experience a 5.

Great place to stay! We were moving from Texas to Chicago and decided to stay here for the night as a change from the usual hotel. It was a Tuesday night so the room was inexpensive and the casino was our entertainment. The room was huge! And so nice and clean! They staff was all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We are at the Beerhouse and the food and beer were good. Neither my husband nor I are big gamblers, but the penny slots kept us entertained and happy. It was smokey to me in the casino but not so terrible that I had to leave. It's a casino after all!

WAS a great place to play poker. NOW they announce that the poker room is closing forever in place of a baccarat room and Asian themed restaurant. total garbage! a poker player's hard earned money is no good at this establishment anymore. Which idiot made this decision? I guess my options are go to Lumiere and get mugged in the garage or go to Maryland Heights. Well, hello Maryland Heights! River City USED TO be the place. Now I hope they lose enough business that they eventually resolve this idiotic mistake. Casino Queen West is its new name as far as I'm concerned.

We gambled. It was very busy and we wished we could have gotten to play at more tables, but it was too packed. Drinks are well priced, games are fun. Lost some cash. Haha.
