Lots of nearby food options just outside of downtown, but kinda secluded so it's nice and quiet. Good for playing Pokemon Go too!

Whispering woods has been my hotel of choice when ever I am in the area. Located far away from the busy street, it's always a quiet and relaxing stay. Staff are always kind and a pleasure to speak with. Any requests is met swiftly and I never felt like I was bothering them. Overall I believe that the hotel is a good value and would recommend it.

A well built building housing a wonder staff who are all super attentive to your needs. Very comfortable rooms.

Do not stay here, out dated looks different from the pictures. The bathroom ceiling was painted over once the moisture hit black midrew everywhere. Nothing in the room matches, drawers in the dresser did not go all the way in. It is not handicap accessible, served the same breakfast every morning and the attendant closes breakfast 15 minutes early. Will never stay here again, several of my family members had to switch rooms, due to not having water in the toilet, strong smell of mildew, door came off the hinges and my Mom got stuck in the bathroom door would not open. They need shut this mess down! Only good thing about it the employees are very nice!

We are in our 45th year for our Family Reunion if I was not on the committee I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT have stayed here! It was definitely not a relaxing time for me addressing issues and complaints from other family members. The rooms have not been updated, there were bed bugs, roaches and wasps nests on the balconies. Mrs Zanini was very helpful! Would I recommend this place to stay-No! The banquet food was nice but other than that this hotel has a lot of work to be done with their accommodations!

I was attending a vow renewal ceremony at the conference center. The facility was clean and nicely decorated. The food was good and the staff was friendly. The only issue for me was in the parking lot because it was hard to find a spot and at night the lot was very dark.

The conference Halls are quite spacious and very well maintained. Parking can be a bit dicey if they have a lot of overnight guests and events during the day. Staff is very considerate and helpful.

The hotel is very outdated, it had an smell in the room much like a closed up house or nursing home. I had to have my room key recarded every day, the door to the room was jammed each time the key was recarded. I Return to the room at 6pm and the room was not cleaned. I called the desk and was told the cleaning staff had left for the day. An hour later still no one came to. Lean the room and give fresh linen. I will not book at Whispering Woods Hotel again.

Hotel is located behind the strip mall on hack cross road and Goodman road intersection and is surrounded by a large garden distinguishing it from other properties. It is very clean and contain a private grill area and gazebo. Interior accomadations are befitting a hotel of this stature offering a clean and well kept marble tile lobby and relaxation areas with large leather furniture and high definition televisions.

The staff was extremely nice, and tended to mine and my kids every request! Clean and quiet. We will be back! I recommend this place to families, and big groups!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. Close to a lot of restaurant's.

Pros: the place is gorgeous. The room was very clean. Haven't had it yet, but hot breakfast at an in hotel restaurant. Cons: the internet barely ran Netflix. My room was double booked (was woken up by a stranger at 12:30 a. M. ), the shower runs both the shower and the bath at the same time. I'm still up at 3 in the morning writing this. Can't get to sleep after having to go sort things at the front desk because of the room mix up. Some staff was friendly, some were not. All in all it's not a bad place, I've just had a rather unfortunate experience.

The hospitality and convention center staff were very professional, courteous, and top notch. If the cleanliness of the room were half as good I would've given the 5th star.

I don’t know what rooms people who have stayed here are talking about but I’ve been here several times due to traveling soccer and it’s not fine lodging. If you come into it understand this, then it’s the place for you. I mean, it is a bed and you’re not outdoors but that’s where the amenities end. All the rooms stayed in had severely outdated doors/windows that leaked with any rain. Leaving the floor wet in that area (two times previously). Carpets smell of mildew and glow quite impressively under UV light (I brought one after our first stay just to see). Torn up furniture that also glow impressively if made of fabric. Wi-Fi is only usable in certain hotel common areas, very spotty in rooms. “Breakfast” has several options and they are not quite on par with say HI Express. Other reviews explain this more but they had waffles each time I was there… microwaved waffles. What sick person is in charge of the kitchen?! However, we did have an avocado green accent wall, 22” flat-screen TV, bible in the drawer, and fluorescent lights to ensure we help the environment! Oh, the beds are adequate and pillows fine. That’s kind of subjective but honest. If you’re looking for just a bed to sleep and you find yourself compelled (blackmailed) to stay here, go for it. Staff is also super nice and helpful moving you to exactly the same room but I can’t blame them for that.

I love this place. Like a step back in time. So peaceful and the artwork hanging all around is so beautiful. This would be a great place to have a salsa conference. Staff is friendly and helpful, it's clean and I had a great nights sleep. We cam fir a funeral and was pleasently surprised, great place to destress, thank you!

It looks like a good clean hotel and as far as I can tell it should be quite clean. BUT I have stayed here severial times in different rooms/ floors and every time I've end up sick, sore throat runny nose achy joints. This will probably be my last stay. I can find no reason for this to be happening but it does happen every time.

Bed were made towels were stocked. No proof of room service. No note. And little things missing.

Everything here is wonderful! Cassie at The Grill was great. My Grandson knocked his yogurt off the table and she was right there cleaning it up and didn't make us feel bad. If course we were apologetic and offered to clean it up but she wouldn't hear of it. The front desk was very accomodating. We'd been kicked out of Super 8 when we complained of black mold in our window sill. The front desk here checked us in and gave us a great rate. She was awesome. Everyone here is so friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I will be happy to return.

Nancy at the front desk was awesome she helped as much as she possibly could. And we can't foget about veronica at treetop she was so helpful she could do anything we asked. And she was so fast at doing it. And did it well.

Loves it here. Great costumer service starting from the drivers all the way to front desk. Recommended for sure.

I love this hotel. I make the trip down to Mississippi once a year every year to attend mfm. The staff here is absolutely wonderful and it's always like coming home. I look forward to the trip every year and can't wait to enjoy the hotel and staff along with the con I'm there to attend.

Stayed there in January of 2017 with my 15 year old son. The room was comfortable and clean. We were able to get a bite to eat on the premises, luckily since it was snowing and trecherous out that night. Next time I passing thru I will stay there again.

A little isolated. Definitely quiet. Smell of someone smoking non tobacco products at times in the halls.

Outdated to the max. The continental breakfast is nothing more than watery eggs and sausage. Some cereal and stale bread. The only thing good about the breakfast is the bananas. Rooms need renovated. Remind me of the 90's show in the heat of the night. It's a 2 star hotel. Friendly staff and shuttle service.

This is a neat place! The grounds are very well kept with lots of big trees everywhere, befitting of the name. The hotel was very clean despite being massive and laberynthine. It was fun to just walk around and see all the tree-themed conference rooms. Lots of nice art on the walls too. Rooms were nice and clean though somewhat dated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to change rooms without any fuss due to the TV not working in the first one. Enjoyed our stay!

Clean, very pleasant staff, wonderful breakfast, and affordable rates. But dated guest rooms with signs of bodgy maintenance in places. Some rooms fully renovated, others slightly less so.

Shuttle service, bountiful breakfast, maids were fantastic but the desk attendants and management staff were not. With the exception of Tanya and Tiffany now they were helpful and the shuttle drivers were great! But the others left a negative feeling with me. Just want my reviews to be honest.

The website was a bit deceiving. This place is very outdated. Definitely not a 4/5 star. More like a 1/2. Very disappointed. We stayed here because it was pet friendly and rated as a 4/5 star. We gladly paid a non-refundable deposit to bring our pet with us due to a family emergency. Room smelled old and musty. Carpet and furniture was stained. Air conditioner sounded like a plane taking off. Side door entrance to Hotel did not lock, could walk right in without fobbing in. We were approximately 50 feet (2nd door) from side entrance. No security. Notified front desk both days we stayed there and was told it would be fixed. Never fixed. Asked for a different room, was told there was no other pet rooms available. Should have been given a comparable room since I paid a deposit and it was their fault the door was not fixed. Also should indicate on website that if you get a pet friendly room you are getting one of the worst rooms at the Hotel. Breakfast bar needs to have a little variety. If we had not made reservations ahead of time we definitely would not have stayed. Would not recommend this hotel.

Located in a quiet area very nice open grass areas around the exterior with a nice fishing pond. Safe clean area if town adjacent to convenience stores, a few restaurants/bar and grills and pharmacies. The hotel itself was spacious. The rooms and decor are a bit outdated. Small beds in the double rooms. Lots and lots of carpet. Complimentary breakfast was okay, though the waffles were pre made. Staff was nice and professional. I was there with a family reunion and given our group size and outdated rooms I believe our room should've been more competitively priced.

Really not bad for the money. People here complain of bedbugs and dirty rooms. When I got there my room was clean, neat and had no smell. No bedbugs at all. It's quiet other than you hear the doors to the rooms nearby slamming shut. The AC in my room worked great and was ice cold. The breakfast is good, not just continental here. You get a hot breakfast of eggs and sausage with waffles if you want them. They have milk, juice, coffee, etc. Bagels, muffins, all kinds of stuff. As much as you can eat all free. Just don't lose your breakfast voucher. The only issue I had, and the only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars was because out of nowhere my room key stopped working. I had a janitor let me in and when I called the front desk they said "well come down and get your keys fixed" Um… I was on the top floor of this building on the opposite end as the front desk. That was a good walk for someone who had been working all day and was tired and just wanted to lay down. I had to walk all the way back and get the keys fixed. I also wanted to use the workout room. I walk all the way to the workout room which is directly opposite side of the building on the first floor as my room, way down this LOOONG hallway, I get down there, my key won't let me in. I walk all the way back to the front desk and they say "oh yea, they didn't put your key in to work for the workout room" I said why not, I'm allowed in there as a guest right? Ugh, other than the stupid key issues it was a nice stay.

I am only giving 3 stars because we used a coupon for a discount we were placed deep inside the cavernous place and had to carry luggage a long ways. For older people trying to save a buck this was a big minus. Other than that it was clean and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Old Timey is what I would describe this hotel. It reminds me of the movie "The Shining". Needs a major renovation. The restaurant serves some sandwiches, but with chips, no fries. There is an outside pool and basketball area that can be used that's really nice. The bathrooms were clean, but just old. Overall, it would be a beautiful hotel if it had a major renovation. The staff was very pleasant.

The hotel has consistently gotten worse each year we've been here with staff now rudely asking illegally about my wife's service animal. Their policies I payment have changed, despite their assertions to the contrary.

Hard to find based on our GPS instructions, but once we got there it was very nice. Very big and had plenty of room to host the event I was attending and not feel like we had taken over the hotel.

This is our home away from home. The staff is professional, courteous and down to earth. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Love, love, love Whispering Woods!

Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at. I would recommend it to anyone. Service is top notch. It's close to food drink and shopping.

Wifi was good. Food for conference was good. The hotel needs to modernize meeting utilities like display projectors, tvs and white boards. The projector resolution was too low and we only had a flipboard easel.

Shower drain clogged, clientele were loud. Comfortable bed.

This is not a hotel I would recommend. Our first experience was that our room keys did not work. After a long walk to the front desk and back to our room we were able to open the door. The heating/cooling system worked on two levels… Arizona in July or Minnesota in December. Very tired we went to sleep on the bed which felt like plywood. I awoke early in the morning as the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the next room to walk into the bathroom to a puddle on the floor. The ceiling above was leaking. Maintenance showed up to confirm the leak and gave us our option… move rooms. No cart, no help just move. Housekeeping came by to ask if we needed anything… we asked for 2 additional pillows. Waiting… waiting… waiting, finally a knock at the door… a hotel employee to ask about our housekeeping experience. I again requested pillows. Nothing. Luckily we only stayed two nights.

I was at their wedding show event. It was pretty entertaining just wish it was a little bit more organized. Overall it was a good time though. Hotel and cobference place seemed very clean and staff were really nice.

This place is a DUMP! The front desk was rude and unprofessional. It smells, it's dirty, there are piles of dirt and paint chips and grass in the hallways and in the rooms. Nasty popcorn ceilings with mold on them, paint peeling off the walls, and the Wi-Fi is a joke, the "grill" looked nasty as well, not even going to try the food.

Rooms were nice, entire place had a very professional feel, only complaint I had is that it was advertised as being able to have a roll away bed brought in but when we got there they said we couldn't, not too too big of a deal but a bit of an inconvenience.

Rooms were clean Service was great I felt a little insecure with little lights in the back and large sliding glass windows. Price was great Breakfast was not so great My door handle was broken but worked enough. Side entrance key card reader light didn't work. When windy you can't hear the click to open the door Still not bad just room for improvement.

The staff are really courteous and helpful. It's very clean and the beds are really comfortable and best of all it's in a quiet area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room and hotel itself were clean and vibrant. The decor was pleasant, as was the hotel staff. For what came to $122 dollars a night, we were given a wonderful room with free Wi-Fi, cable, a microwave, and even a mini fridge in our room. I sincerely have no complaints about this hotel. Great location, great service, and a great time!

Stayed here because it was inexpensive. It's an older building that's been partially updated. Cleanliness is satisfactory. It is located in a nice quiet area. A lot of dining choices within a mile. (all your typical fast food and local establishments) So if you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay the night, this is a good choice.

The common areas are very nice. The room was not so nice. The nice time hotel staff was excellent. The daytime front desk lady was not polite at all.

I was completely discussed by the rotting walls in the bathroom. Lighting in hotel was of the 70's. Furniture is beat up in hallway and outdated.

I've been going to Whispering Woods for the past 4 years for a yearly convention and the staff has been great to me. They are very nice and friendly people running this place. Last year I reserved a single room and when I got to my room, I found out I got a double room instead. When I went back to the desk the guy admitted they made a mistake and changed my room to a single. The restaurant lunch is very good, with better quality food than most bigger hotels. The bar is a little pricy and most of the beers are mainstream macro brands but the location is super convenient for meeting freinds. My only gripes about the room are 1) The air conditioning units are very noisy and many times not maintained well with dirty filters (I have asthma so thats important). 2) Some of the bathtubs do not have any kind of anti-slip coating so be careful if you shower. 3) The parking lot can fill up fast during weekend events, and if you leave for lunch or dinner its a good bet someone will take your spot. 4) The Wi-Fi in the hotel can be useless or very slow during a convention (with too many geeks playing games). Otherwise its in a great location. It's a couple of miles away from a Wal-Mart and Kroger with a bunch of fast food and restaurants in walking distance.

I've been staying at the WWHCC every year since 2010, and I can vouch for the place. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is attentive and the grounds are very nicely cared for. In 2010 I had a problem with water leaking from one of the A/C ducts, and they moved to another room immediately. The hotel's close to some excellent restaurants, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The actual conference rooms didn't look awful, but the guest rooms were downright sketchy. Something was dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom. Enough said.

OK sums it up. Not bad and not Great.

Fine. No problems at all. Other reviews seem excessively negative. I recommend the hotel without hesitation. Cheap, clean, nice locations.
