My husband and I stayed in Wausau Hampton Inn while traveling back home to Michigan from a long trip to South Dakota. The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. When we left we forgot our pillows. Not realizing till the next night. We were upset with ourselves and thought we would never get them back. Then the manager of the Wausau Hampton Inn called us some on the road home asked if we wanted the pillows shipped back to our home free of charge. Now that is going above and beyond. Thank you.

Can't say enough good things about this hotel! We only stayed one night, but were sad we had to leave. The hotel was so nice and clean and had a sleek luxurious feel. We got in later on Saturday night, close to the pool closing, and the gentleman at the front desk allowed us to go in for an additional 45 minutes — a soak in the hot tub is what we needed after a long day! Breakfast the next day was very good as well. You could either do the buffet, order something from the chef, or both. If I'm every in the area again I will definitely choose this Hilton!

Most Hampton Inns are great and this one is not exception. Clean and friendly staff, breakfast is really nice and plenty of places to sit. Right down the road from the Great Dane Pub. Room was very clean. Went here for a weekend visit with relatives and now I will be back for a business trip soon. The only negative is that the price seems a little high for the area.

Nicely Updated, Very Clean, Friendly Staff, Good Neighborhood, Kids loved the pool. I would recommend and stay there again. Oh and the beds were extremely comfortable.

We were in Wausau for a quick business trip. Hotel was conveniently located, and easy to access. Quick check in, with minor issue changing names on the room (easily fixed). Applebee's nearby as well as a few breweries with a short taxi. Rooms were good and I liked the breakfast options! Different than other hotels. Would stay again.

Lovely small hotel! We loved the heated pool and the staff were friendly and helpful! Checkers and hot dogs in the lobby were a cute touch! It was close to an amazing antique mall! Would definitely stay again.

Ever stayed at a place that gives you encouragement every morning? The bananas have positive messages written by the staff themselves❤️ Great service — always greet you with a good morning or good evening! Good options for their continental breakfast — eggs, meat, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, different breads for twisting, yogurt, fruit, & cereal! Inviting atmosphere and plenty of space in the rooms. Beds were a bit on the firm side for my comfort though.

I usually stay at this hotel for work trips. Breakfast is limited but it's in a convenient location and clean.

The room was nice & clean. The bathroom was immaculate, maybe the cleanest hotel bathroom I have ever seen. The breakfast was plentiful & tasty. The staff was all smiles & very kind. My daughters were pleased with the pool & thought it was clean. All these are not enough to bring me back. I was unimpressed with the mattress. As new and modern as this hotel seemed to be, the mattress was reminiscent of the cheap mattresses you find on a hotel from 20 years ago. My biggest complaint was the noise from the footsteps in the room above us. I do not think they were stomping, yet I was still able to track their movements back and forth across their room all night. The construction of the hotel made these steps BOOM with each footfall. My review should not reflect on any staff or service within the hotel, just on Hampton's choices for construction & furnishing their rooms.

It was fine. Nothing outstanding but certainly clean and serviceable.

We recently stayed at this location for a youth hockey tournament. Over night Wausau got 5ish inches of snow. Can I tell you how shocked and impressed I was when we woke up at 6:30am to see all the cars in the parking lot were brushed off?!?! The hotel staff was very pleasant, rooms clean and comfortable but it's a details like this that gets me to write a review. Thank you!

A very good choice centrally located and easy to access. Short drive to downtown and very clean with the dependible and consistent complementary breakfast.

Clean rooms. As a diamond member I really didn't think I would get hassled about getting a bottle of water. No it was not excessive. I didnt get one at check in. Then when I ask and explain my benefit status I get hassled and told policy had changed and I only one? Cheese and rice.

Wonderful Staff and Comfortable Clean rooms… would be a 5 star but I have had ALOT of trouble getting my points applied or even getting the 'free' night I should have received on multiple occasions.

Very clean. Excellent and courteous staff. 3 stars because rooms are small and closet space was tiny. Otherwise good for a short business stay.

Had a great stay! Our room was very clean. The front desk was accommodating when we asked for extra time to check out. Will definitely come back next time!

Super friendly employees at the front desk. Breakfast as usual is included. Although here you will get a smile from the staff in the morning! The rooms are fine and clean. There are a couple of restaurant close by the hotel. Although shopping places are close by it. Five stars for it. Michael.

Beds were great slept amazing, rates are up there, but I've paid more for less. Breakfast was really good as well.

Accommodating, friendly staff. Nice home away from home with workable desk area in room. Good closet / dresser situation along with 'fridge. No in-room microwave, however.

Recently renovated property that already had outstanding service making it even better. Excellent open floor plan in the lobby now makes for a comfortable relaxed feel. All new beds, TV, and bathrooms make it a great in room sleep experience. I highly recommend staying at this property.

We stayed in this hotel last night. Excellent. Friendly staff on the phone helped me with a last minute reservation, the front desk staff member was organized and professional, the room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We didn't get to try the continental breakfast because we slept so well and missed the serving time! Keep up the great work, Hampton Inn Wausau.

This might be the best hotel stay I've every had. Really nice modern rooms with super comfortable beds. Awesome amenities and the best hotel continental breakfast I've ever had. After this I'm only staying Hampton Inn!

Stayed at this hotel for the better part of 2 months while working in our Wausau Branch. The staff, particularly Kurt and Mary, were really fantastic to work with and went out of their way to make sure everything was great! Hotel and amenities were on par with Hampton, but the staff (desk, breakfast and housekeeping) really set them apart! The rooms were a bit dated, but they are currently remodeling, so that should help there. I would not recommend the turkey sausage when having breakfast, but the rest of the food was good and, again, on par with other Hampton Inns. All in all I would go back there any time and would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the Wausau area.

Nice hotel. Rooms are clean and attractive. They have a Wisconsin theme going on here which is cool. Nice staff. Breakfast was really good for a free breakfast. I would book again next time I am in the area.

This hotel has one of the friendliest and most proactive staffs that I have dealt with. Exceptional service from a small town Hotel. Friendly people on the phone, friendly people in person, and an evening manager who proactively made things right when there is a minor problem with the pool. They were generous and proactive even after things worked out and the pool was repaired quickly. I would definitely seek out this hotel lovation again, and this is a hotel brand that we routinely seek out because of their free family breakfast.

Very clean! Nice breakfast and a very nice room for the price can't beat it.

The hotel has stocked the pool area with toys for all ages. The property is so clean and well-maintained. We were gifted waters and a snack upon arrival in our room. Breakfast was amazing. The waffle maker and toppings were a big hit. Very close to restaurants and shopping.

I'm here once a month and the staff is very friendky, accomodating, and knows me by my first name. Property was recently renovated and has great accomodations. Conveniently located near the city but also not too far from the airport.

It was overpriced but nice. The little things weren't as nice as I wanted them to be for a $150 evening.

It was fine nothing fabulous but the bed was wonderful and the service was friendly.

The staff was wonderful, breakfast was tasty, and the hot tub was just what we needed after a long day of skiing. I would recommend this hotel to any family or business traveler passing through Wausau.

New and clean. Nice and helpful people. Good breakfast in a cramped space. Does have laundry and refrigerator. Near many restaurants and grocery.

Decent Wi-Fi, gym has free weights and other essentials, staff is nice, breakfast is acceptable for a Hampton, and location is close to restaurants and grocery.

Overall Hampton Inn hotels are a good stay for the price, I've stayed at numerous throughout the states. The one in Wausau was just okay. I'm a city planner and understand hotels by highways is great but windows/walls need extra noise protection. In addition, the design was poor with the breakfast area very small and right next to the entrance/exit. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

I recently stayed a few nights at the Hampton Inn in Wausau, WI for business. I was very impressed with the cleanlines, service and hotel amenities. It met all my need! I will be staying here again.

Don't stay here! In addition to having the room that is ON the lobby so you can hear EVERY little noise there were so many issues with our room it was unbelievable! From the window shade not going up and down to the refrigerator freezing all our food to the vent rattling all night long to the pool having so dirty it gave our family a rash! Avoid staying here.
