Do not stay here! do not pass go and collect 200 dollars. Sleeping in your car in a parking lot is a better option. do. Not. Book. This. Motel. I suspect this was once a cute little motel, but that is absolutely not the case as of August 2022. I made a one night reservation for a king room via booking. Com two months earlier. I've used this app for at least 5 years now with no issue. Upon arrival, the motel looked in worse shape than I anticipated, but for 100 bucks, I can deal. I went into the office and there was another guest trying to check in. They had used Expedia and the desk clerk couldn't find their reservation. They eventually got it worked out and they were on their way. I gave my name and told the clerk I had used booking. They found my reservation quickly, only to say "We have no king rooms left, so you'll get a double, alright? " No? Not alright. I asked how this was possible and the clerk said "I sold out all of the rooms so there are none left. You get a double now. " "There are no singles of any kind left at all? " "You get a double now. " After some back and forth about how this is NOT how reservations work, I finally told them I wanted a discount if I had to take a double. "You're already getting a discount. Doubles cost more than kings and I'm charging you for a king. " More arguing. I finally left. This whole scene took approximately 10 minutes. I go back to the car and pull into a spot to start looking for another place to stay… no cell service.
