Review of Golf Courses of Lawsonia

I heard about this place through some videos and reading a Golf Digest article about the best value golf in the country. Made the 3 hour drive to Lawsonia and played the Links course. Absolutely fantastic! My wife and nine year old daughter got an all day play rate for 60 dollars. The quality of this course is amazing. The fairways are firm and in great shape and the greens were fantastic. Putt it on line and the ball does not move from that line. I felt like every hole was a unique experience. They all felt different. There were a few blind tee shots and if you find yourself attacking the wrong angle of a pin from the fairway it is likely that you will not have a view of the pin. The greens at this place are incredible. They’re fast and every green has multiple tiers. If you are not on the right tier of the green it quickly brings 3 putting into play. I had pretty high expectations going into our trip here and they exceeded it. Another very cool aspect of this course is the vibe to it. The clubhouse, practice facilities and overall amenities are on the level of a regular muni but the property and golf course are world class. I had never been to a place like that before. Ive watched videos of the laid back nature of golf in Scotland and to me it had a similar vibe. I have played 8 or 9 of the top 100 public courses according to Golf Digest and this one is right up there in terms of a golf course. A friend of mine and I are already talking about making the 3 hour drive again in a week or two and playing it. Just an awesome, laid back experience for a course of this caliber. Highly recommend playing here! One of my favorite courses!
