We really enjoyed our stay here! There are new owners and they have really done a great job cleaning it up. Super friendly, very good breakfast, clean pool and hot tub, dog bags provided for outside clean up, clean rooms, keurig 24/7, and building smells great! I loved the circular sphere shower — the shower curtain didn't touch me like at most hotels. This hotel is in a great location. It's close to many lakes, bike trails, and snowmobiling areas. We have a trailer up here but I'd rather stay here!

Such an amazing place. Price was great for the amenities hotel provided. Staff was amicable. Enjoyed their pool and hot tub, very relaxing. Location is a big plus.

Really nice! We came here because they are dog friendly but we were very pleasantly surprised by how clean & quiet it is. The pool and hot tub were clean and heated. Breakfast was fine and the manager was very friendly. There are new owners and it seems like they've done some great renovations!

We had a gathering at this place and we were glad that we picked this location. My wife and kids absolutely enjoyed the location and my kids had a blast in the pool area. The staff was friendly and they rooms were clean and perfectly made.

Best place to stay in the area. I read lot of reviews and it was completely different experience. They have very good hot tub and pool. My kids enjoyed playing in pool.

I stayed at this place a week ago for 3 days. The staff is really good and they offer healthy breakfast. This place is very clean.

After 3 years, I am back here, very nice bed, Hot tub and excellent breakfast, I will come again.

Uh, before or after? This place was a riot! The desk clerk put me in a room under another name… then, precisely at check out entered the room with an armed gunmen. Later they charged me over $200 in fees because Kell over showered and smoked, wet ciggs on floor on the bathroom. Nice security system too, cameras in hallway? When our alarming intruder dropped his ammunition all over the hall. I had nothing. I slowly walked toward the exit hoping the antique revolver was not being loaded. I suggest not smoking in rooms or shower. And of course, pay with cash and always recycle.

Room was really cold n took an hour to warm up, but other than that stay was good.

My week's stay allowed me to observe well. The front desk staff carries out its many job descriptions with pride. They respect their employer and treat this Inn as if it were their own. Loyal employees with integrity — priceless! There are job opportunities here for people willing to take pride in their service to the public. Comments at breakfast were: I like this place; I will stay here again; I was going to book a different hotel tonight as I continued to travel, but I'll stay here instead; There are plenty of choices for a good breakfast. For the price in 2017, the location is superior, the rooms are more than adequate with comfortable beds and soon-to-have new pillows, with more than enough amenities to make one's stay stress free. It is easy driving to the supermarket and gym nearby. But the accommodating, pleasant staff, the people, make this a wonderful place to stay.

The room was clean, but the bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. Two of the three machines (ice and vending) in the lobby were out of order, pool was closed "for routine maintenance" but other recent reviews indicate it's been closed for a while. Check in took about 15 minutes because they couldn't find our reservation and they weren't sure if the room was ready. Probably won't stay there again.

Unprepared, unclean, staff had no idea what was going on and what prices were for rooms, and rooms were not ready.

I'm only giving the place 2 stars because the room was clean and nice. Other than that I wouldn't recommend this place. The breakfast was cold, their ice and vending machines were both down. Despite us having the do not disturb sign on the door people kept knocking thinking we were a different room, and at one point someone tried to just walk in our room. No knock, just put the key in and tried walking in. Thankfully the door latch was on or they would have came in entirely while we were laying down! I thought the point of Do Not Disturb was to NOT disturb? Definitely won't be here again. The Super 8 down the road was 100 times better.

Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. Pool area clean. Breakfast great and well attended. Would recommend this place to any one traveling.

Wish I would have read the reviews before booking. Wasn't the worst place we ever stayed at but it left a lot to be desired. There was never anyone at the desk from the time we checked in throughout our 3 night stay. We always had to call for someone and maybe they came and maybe they didn't. The place was not very tidy and neither were the grounds. First thing I found was a used washcloth left in the shower from previous guest. Big turnoff. The breakfast area was not very tidy either. Looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in days. Wouldn't recommend it nor would we care to revisit.

Very clean rooms. Great air conditioning. Good customer service. Nice adjoining rooms. Shower stalls were a nice change.

Typically I don't have super high standards when it comes to hotels, but my stay there was pretty terrible. I traveled to Antigo with my family for a graduation. We knew we wanted to stay the night well in advance. We booked two rooms with two queen beds each over a month in advance. When we reached the hotel my mom got out to head inside and begin the check-in process while we began hauling in kids and luggage. During that time my mom couldn't find anyone to check her in. Even by the time everyone and everything was hauled into the building, nobody was at the desk. Finally when someone came to the desk, she stopped my mom in mid conversation to check on her food in the microwave. After that she got us all checked in to one of our rooms, that turned out to only have one bed, when we clearly stated we needed two queens. It ended up taking us 45 minutes to get us checked in. The pool was closed when we checked in at 4 pm. Luckily, it was up and running at 7 pm when we wanted to swim. When we got into the pool room it was overflowing. My dad went to let them know to bed helpful, and they claimed that they were "doing it on purpose". It continued to fill up and began leaking into the heat vents, so my dad went and told them again. They gave a shocked look as they obviously didn't know what was going on. Later that night I went to get a soda, and the machine stole my change. I patiently waited while they checked someone else in.

I reserved the rooms with more than 24 hours notice, by the way. We booked online for a room with two queen beds and a room with a sofa and a queen. My grandfather is apprehensive about falling out of bed, so I booked a room with a sofa. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk. After a few minutes, finally, someone showed up. He informed us that the room with a sofa was taken and that we could have a room with a king bed. After waiting forever to get room keys, we hauled our luggage inside of hallways filled with maid carts and buckets of dirty water. First, we went to set up my grandfather in his room, only to find that the dirty sheets were sitting on a chair and all of the soiled towels were heaped in a corner. I tried to call down to the office to see what was going on, and the phone would not call out! I called the hotel's phone number off of our hotel phone and was told someone would call me back. Finally! Someone called back and informed me that it would take 20 minutes to clean the room. At that point, I was irritated and snapped at the man at the main desk (Raj, I believe) that I specifically booked a room with a sofa for my 84 year old grandfather. After I snapped at Raj, he told me that they had a room with a sofa available. So, he lied to me about the room with a couch because no one wanted to deal with cleaning it.

Room wasn't very clean at check-in and never cleaned my entire stay. Staff is very friendly but don't appear to be very capable. Breakfast wasn't available until about 8 according to the one other guest staying there. I had to leave earlier than that so wont comment on the quality. If they would just up their housekeeping I'd give them a good review given the low cost. I had the place nearly to myself, not sure what that says.

Great price but not the best choice. Tues overnight business stay, nearly empty. A very nice and helpful front desk clerk did great to assist. But the hotel is in dire needs of cosmetic updates inside and out. Breakfast was really sparse which I understand but what was there was not appealing. Coffee was nasty weak for instance. Room was ok and had all the good amenities. Not sure if I'll go back.

Good value for money and excellent location. Would though have liked coffee and tea facilities in the room… hot tub & swimming pool was so clean and warm. I like breakfast at sharp 6 o'clock in the morning. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was so clean and big bathroom. My kids like pool toys, it was really nice to see them playing with dolphin toy… I will definitely come back very soon with my kids and family.

Stayed there in January, took 1/2 hr. To check in, no-one had any idea what they were doing, first room had no cables hooked to tv, second room TV didn't work, finally 3rd room all was ok. Was promised a refund for my stay due to the inconveniences but never saw it. Called and asked about it and was told they were having trouble with the credit card machine — didn't know how to do a credit, was told I would hear back from manager but never did. Would not recommend this hotel.

I know this is a little late to be posting a review, given the fact that I stayed there almost a year ago, but I guess its better late than never. My family and I wanted to visit my wife's family for the 4th of July weekend 2015. The only place I could find in town with a room was America's Best Inn. We got there late at night with three children under the age of four. After a 14hr trip we gut needed a place to crash. The staff was very friendly and we got settled in for the night. The room was much smaller than I had anticipated so I was going to make a cot on the floor to sleep so the kids could sleep in the beds. I asked the night staff for some extra blankets. They kindly found some for me and wished me a good nights rest. When we got settled I realized that the toilet was clogged and almost overflowing. I called the front desk and they sent the manager Aaron to come up and help us. When he got to the room he fixed the toilet very quickly and looked around the room to check everything else out. I could tell that he noticed how crammed we were in the tiny room. He came back a few minutes later and told me that he was sorry that the room was smaller than I expected. He said that he didn't want us to stay all night so uncomfortable. He also told me that he had a last minute cancellation for a bigger room and that we where welcome to use it. I accepted his generous offer and we slept peacefully the rest of the night.

Got here at 530 pm. Called front desk phone call for assistance. Heard it ringing in ajoining room where the front dest/housekeeper and a male could be heard laughing and socializing. On the 4th call the male finally answered. The front desk lady walked all of 15 feet to check us in. As we went to our room we noticed vacuumes out and the room cleaning carts still in the middle of the hallway. Its now 11 pm the carts are still there. The male and front desk lady are in a room laughing loud enough to be heard 10 rooms away. Our room had cereal and mike & ikes candy, and chocolate chips on the carpet… also we have an 11 month old crawler who happened to find them. The pool had no towels and every garbage is overflowing. Ive stayed here numerous times and now I will never be staying here again. The price is nice but if I could post the pictures ive taken you wouldnt stay here either. Also my wife is a house keeper and she spent an hour trying to clean the room upon arrival. Just plain horrible. I wish I could give it negative stars. Beyond belife how this place isnt shut down.

No manage hired yet: We had 5 rooms book for the weekend. Upon arrival was a mix up on the size of room. Miscommunication, no prob. Easily remedied… Uh, no. Our people waited almost 3 hrs to get room ready. One other room checked in and the frig was full of stuff and other items in the room clearly belonged to someone, upon inquiry were told "oh that belongs to one of our drivers. " REALLY? NO POOL closed by health dept… that should have bee the 1st sign to leave. Breakfast was a bust===waffle maker dirty. Our people were told by an employee "I'm the only one heRe. " But they observed 3 other staff there… is there a problem with control or what? One of our rooms checked out and went to the Holiday Inn across the street… Our Sat people checked in and got that same exact room! It STILL wasn't cleaned. Seriously. This is a wonderful location for a hotel. It is a nugget set back there in the woods… It COULD be a great place, but it isn't. … Do yourself a favor, go across the street and pay a little more… Room Tip: nice setting that's all I got to say about that!

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable at this Antigo Wisconsin location. The only negative was that the hot tub in the pool area was broke before we got there and the swimming pool was closed after we checked in because the heater went out and the water was freezing. We were running short on time at checkout or I would have asked for a price adjustment.

Very polite staff. The room was really clean and they allow dogs. Big plus on that. Pool area very nice. Definitely will be back.

Got there and there was no power to the room had to tell them. When that was fixed waited 40 more minutes just to get the heat working. Could barely connect to terribly slow internet. Called in the morning for late check out at noon and still had somebody just WALK into my room at 11! If America has a best hotel, it is not here.

I had a great stay at this hotel, much better than I expected and I'll definitely come back. The pool and the Jacuzzi is impressing. Good choice for a relaxing stay.
