Review of Sonesta ES Suites Cincinnati - Sharonville West 3*

This hotel is TERRIBLE. I ONLY gave one star because it was necessary to make a post. Upon check in I asked the staff the exact amount to be charged to my card. The staff informed me that there was a new policy in effect regarding the incident fees, but could not tell me when it went into effect. As that was not the policy when I made my reservation. That policy went from a $100 incident fee to a $250 incident fee. I was informed that the loft would be a $250 fee and a studio would be a $100 incident fee. I chose to downgrade from a loft to a studio in order to still only pay the $100 incidental fee. I went to my studio room after being told that I would be paying a little over $200 incident fee included, checked my account and this hotel held a little over $350. I contacted the front office and asked them to correct it, they told me that I would have to wait until the next business day or I could talk to the manager on Tuesday. I called my bank and was able to three way call the hotel to get the funds released and the correct amount charged. THEN, I checked the room for bugs and found one in a picture frame and a huge spider on the bed. I contacted the front office again. I asked them to give me another room because the room I was given was unacceptable. I was asked to come to the office and get the key, so I did. When I entered the new room, there was a terrible smell. I was tired of visiting the front desk so I left it alone and eventually I didn't smell anything anymore. I pulled the sofa bed out and there was a note that stated lines are in the closet. There was no linen in any of the closets, so I called the front desk again. They asked me to come to the front desk to get linens. I walked over and I had to wait for the security guard to bring them to the desk. It was raining and he did not have them in any bags, he simply handed them to me and I walked out. In addition to the missing linens, only a select few channels worked, all others said "No signal". After about ten minutes, I was making the sofa bed and I heard a knock, that same security guard came to say there was too much noise. At the time, the only noise was coming from the television. I acknowledged him and returned to making the bed and that is when I noticed the BEDBUGS. you have been warned!
